My sister visited the store for what should have been a simple phone upgrade. The salesperson told her her monthly bill would increase by "about $6 a month." She completed the purchase, paid the applicable sales tax, and left believing that would be her only additional monthly cost. When I later reviewed our family plan, I discovered that AT&T Protect Advantage Tier 4 insurance ($19/month) and the AT&T Next Up upgrade feature ($10/month) had been added to her account. She did not request these services, was not informed they were being added, and was not shown an itemized breakdown of the recurring monthly charges before completing the transaction. After I contacted AT&T customer service, the unauthorized services were removed and the account was credited. While I appreciate that AT&T corrected the issue, customers should not have to spend time identifying and removing services they never requested or approved. This is not an isolated incident. A separate AT&T store in another state added optional services to my father's account under similar circumstances during a phone upgrade. Also if you search online, you'll see many other customers have experienced the same issues. Because of these repeated experiences, I have filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau, the Federal Trade Commission, and the appropriate Attorney General's Office. I believe AT&T should require customers to review and explicitly approve all recurring monthly charges before any transaction is finalized. read more

AT&T Store - Saleman added these extra paid options without sister's consent. It's all to pad their monthly insurance/commission quotas. - Mobile Phones Near Me - Bartonsville, Pennsylvania

I bought a tempered glass screen protector for my phone for $30 and was told that any replacements would be free. However, I was NOT informed about the additional $10 fee for replacement. If I had known this, I would NOT have purchased it. Instead, I could have bought three screen protectors on Amazon for $7, as I have done previously. read more

Came in because we had questions about our 'phones. Although he knew we were not there to make a purchase , (which we had done in the past), Ahmed Nesbitte could not have been more helpful. He deserves a raise! We have bought from him before, and we will in the future. read more

Horrible customer service. When in to see what was wrong with my phone which was not charging correctly. The associate told me they don't fix phones there and I needed a new one. He gave me the choice of 2 phones. I told him I would take the one where transferring my messages and contacts would be easiest. Then this associate had trouble transferring my messages and contacts to the new phone. He said, "I don't know where your contacts and messages went so they must be associated with another email." He handed me this phone which I did not yet know how to work, told me to put in another email address, and walked away to wait on people he knew. After 45 minutes of being ignored, a young man who was greeting customers saw my distress and easily transferred all the files. All together I spent nearly 2 stressful hours having an unpleasant buying experience. Never again read more

Well I couldn't be more thankful for the two people that help me out over the course of two visits probably totally in seven hours to resolve a problem I would like to personally thank Natasha and Omar (sorry man ladies first). For helping me resolve the problem I was having. I do understand that it was frustrating however with their help and some laughter it made the process a lot easier. I feel as if they both deserve a thank you and a job well done from their manager however he would have to be out on the sales floor to do such. But again thank you so much for your help read more

I purchased IPhone 8 from this store after having I phone 7. The phone didn't work well from day one I went back to store 3 or 4 days later and was told they don't do returns to bring it to an Apple store which I did after my vacation to find that they have a policy of retuning the phone within 14 day. The representative basically lied. It is impossible to complain or talk to corporate with att. I basically was told I am stick with the phone. Looking for a phone company with integrity is going to be a challenge but I'm not happy with this phone or att read more

Stopped in because my wife's phone wasn't working. Stood a few minutes waiting to be acknowledged. The store was busy. Brian walked by and saw someone in the line behind us that he knew and pulled them out to help them. He had to be told to check us in by another associate who was busy with another customer. He checked us in but still took his friend to help them. Anthony came to help us, quickly identified and fixed our problem. 1 star for Brian, 5 for Anthony. read more

Initially I tried to upgrade and order a new phone online. The order did not go through because I never updated my name after my divorce and AT&T was being careful. I went in to Bartonsville AT&T to update my last name on my account, and pick up my new phone. I went in with two proofs of ID. First the guy tries to be funny and makes a comment about how I was screwing him out of commission by trying to upgrade my phone online. He then tells me my driver's license is expired. Now admittedly the card was expired, but I had renewed it online and had a snapshot saved in my phone. For some crazy reason I could not email or send it to printer. Obviously sometimes wrong with my phone. But instead of being helpful this guy starts telling me where the motor vehicle office is and tells me to go get a new picture ID. He is of course speaking to me in a condescending tone the whole time. Then tells me "it's for your account protection ". I then point out to him that although that level of account security is nice, no one is going to take that information and attempt world domination. Besides, my bank account where the AT&T payments are drawn from was updated with my new name. I pointed out that it seemed ok for AT&T to go into a bank account with a different name to take their payment, but in order to give me an upgrade in my phone and fix my name on the account would require presidential dispensation. I got pretty angry and told him after being a loyal AT&T customer for 15 years!! I would move to Verizon. His response " well they'll require an updated license too"! Needless to say I left there beyond furious. I called the 800 number and demanded to speak to a supervisor. The person on the phone was extremely nice and made the name change over the phone once I passed all their security checks. So No Thanks to Ahmed AT&T Bartonsville! read more

I went in here today to take advantage of a discounted upgrade that I was ELIGIBLE for and the woman walked up to me with her I pad, looked into my account and said that I was not eligible for "nuttin" i kindly explained to her that I recieved a notification that I was eligible for a dicounted upgrade. She looked a little harder as I was pulling up my account to show her and when I found my notification i went to show her and she snapped at me and said I see it!!!! She immediately walked right away to get a manager who came out to tell me that they could not help me. Needless to say I argued with att all day about this upgrade and it all started with this ratchet lady in the store...ive worked in customer service my entire life and in sales and this lady is a poor excuse for both. I failed to get her name but I cant get her off of my mind. So rude and obviously incapable of dealing with a customer due to the fact she ran and got her manager to tell me what she didnt have the skill or the balls to tell me...this lady needs to find a stay at home job where she dosnt have to deal with the public...also so that the public don't have to deal with her or her nasy red lip stick...ugh so aggrivated read more

I have never had such a terrible experience with a customer service rep in the AT&T store in Bartonsville. I've been going to this location for a couple years now and even if there's a wait, they do everything to help from silly questions to upgrades and more...and yet today was totally different. I walk in and the rep rolls her eyes because it interrupted her personal conversation, but we all have bad days so whatever, but then....I ask a question and she just shuts me down. I try and explain and she stands there, arms crossed, and keeps repeating her answer over and over again. Doesn't ask to see what I am trying to explain, doesn't offer to help just keeps repeating the same answer....who hired her? She had no personality, a resting B**** face, and didn't act even somewhat interested in helping me figure out what to do. Funniest part is, what she was telling me didn't exist...Did! A rep in that same store told me it did...so I storm out and drive back down 611 to the stroud mall and go in to that AT&T. The rep immediately helped me out, had me show and explain what I was having trouble with and fixed it for me in less than 5 minutes! Maybe the rep in Bartonsville should find a job that doesn't make her interact with people.. read more
