How do you recognize real professionals? From the fact that they know their own expertise and whether it is enough to tangle certain problems and they do not try to sell you unnecessary service/items. This is such a place and I highly appreciate their advice. SCAMMER ALERT My phone stopped charging so I went to this store to have it checked. When he looked at my charging port he said that he could either change the piece which would be more expensive or he could use a special liquid to fix it for $40. I went with the liquid and he told me it'd take 20 min. 20 minutes later I come back and my phone was exactly where I left it. He told me to wait for a moment and then blew pressurized air into my charging port. Later I discovered that your charger won't work if your charging port is too dirty and dusty. So this dude ripped me off for $40 just to clean my charging port with pressurized air. Avoid coming here he's desperate for money. read more

Once again the folks at iRepair in the Stroud Mall have saved me ! Of course I dropped my phone again, and despite slim protection the phone actually split in two !!! (face detached from back) I was amazed that the thing still worked as I delicately held it together until iRepair could fix me up, which they did while I waited ! They also gave me a fabulous deal on a more robust case - since I seem to be a bit clumsy and bit hard on my phone even when I'm not dropping it. I called before they opened and spoke to a nice guy who said I could text them pictures and details before heading over so they could tell me if a repair was possible. Broken laptop screen was too expensive to fix and they advised against it, broken iPhone screen was a straightforward fix and could be done within 45 minutes. They fixed my screen and gave me a 1 year warranty. Sounds amazing except they don't decide to tell you it doesn't cover broken screens. My screen randomly cracks FOUR days later. They did nothing. They said "oh here's a discount of $15 dollars" ???? I'm not coming here ever week for you to repair the same cheap screen you put on. Pass. Spend $25 more and got to Apple. read more
