As my kids got older and went through high school, we stopped buying the passes because they weren't interested in going to Cypress Cove on a regular basis anymore. So, I hadn't been there in years. In July 2024, my wife and I decided to entertain some younger relatives by taking them to the waterpark. Low and behold, the water was so cold that nobody could stand it. The kids' lips were BLUE, they shivered uncontrollably, and they struggled to have any fun. They didn't even want to stay after only a few minutes. You KNOW something is wrong if young kids want to quickly leave a waterpark on a beautiful, hot summer day! We asked the Cypress Cove staff about the shockingly cold water and they revealed that ever since COVID, the park stopped heating the water in order to save money. They flat out don't operate the water heating system anymore, it's been deliberately mothballed. Say what? What kind of water park doesn't heat the water? That's totally unacceptable and I've never experienced such a thing - EVER. Every water park or public pool that I've ever been to in my 50+ years of life has heated the water so that it's comfortable. My family won't even consider returning to Cypress Cove until we hear that they've resumed heating the water like normal. The only thing I can appreciate about the situation is that the Village of Woodridge, which operates Cypress Cove, is conscious of keeping its spending down for the taxpayers. But there are much more sensible things to cut from the city budget than heating the water at the town's water park. That's ridiculous.

It was $12 each for non-residents and the children and adults we're friendly and welcoming . The bathroom facilities were ok hence the 4 instead of 5 stars . All in all my son had a ball and made a new friend. A hidden gem in this area. Parking is challenging so I suggest an early arrival . I did see parents bring in snacks , however we opted for dinner at nearby Bahama Breeze.

This is another Wheaton Park District facility and it's located at Northside Park. It's at the end…read moreof West Street and to the east. This is an older pool, so it's not as glitzy as some of the other pools in the area. They have 1 water slide, a diving board, a sand pit and a great toddler area. The toddler area here is fenced in and has it's own pool which is 0 dept to 2 feet or so. There are lots of chairs here for moms to sit poolside. Off of the toddler pool is the sand area. I've spent lots of time here and there are always extra chairs and some benches. There are toys available here, I wouldn't bring your own because you will get a headache trying to keep an eye on them. Pricewise, this pool has a cheaper admission rate for non residents. It's $11.75 for an adult and $7.00 for a child. Sometimes the pool closes early due to swim meets and this pool opens later that Rice Pool due to swim lessons. Another important thing to know is that the kids in the daycamps at Northside Park, swim at this pool from 1-3 or so. This summer (2010) the camps are relocated due to work at the park, but they will be back next year. This pool is a great one to hang out with your little ones. If you have older kids, the slides at Rice Pool are a better source of entertainment.

(It's awesome trust me) this pool is One of the Ellis's lifeguard training facility and has made outstanding guards who always know how to keep the pool a safe environment. A great place for family or birthday party. They have adult lap swim at 12-1 and 5:30-6:30 every. and test the water every 2 hours so it's always safe. However a simple pool they have all of the pizzazz and the new pools. They have great music always, a slide AND diving board. Kiddy pool AND sand box. The sand box is the original mine craft as the kids make rivers and lakes in the sand. Get your kids out of the house and have a unforgettable time here. Don't sleep on this pool, defiantly better than Rice pool on the south side (Northside is more of a family aspect.) stay woke.

We enrolled in a NTC tournament. We were first told that my son was on alternate, later they…read moreexpanded the draw from 8 players to 16 players, and notified us that we were promoted to the main draw. The tennis tournament fee of $90 was charged and confirmed. Before the game, when I was checking the schedule, I found my son was not on the draw, he was put back to alternate without any notice. I had to contact NTC to understand why. Then I was told sorry for the confusion you are alternate. It looks like they changed back to 8 player draw without any notification. And I was refunded $75 out of $90 I paid, as the rest $15 was processing fee?!!! Please be cautious about joining any NTC tournaments, other parents who were selected said, the tournament was poor managed and waiting time is really long for already accepting more than the capacity.

The front desk doesn't know what they are doing. Nobody takes the phone, either. But they automatically charge you. BTW, the swimming classes are not good, either. I have purchased 10-class semi private package... but didn't expect to have the classes with 4 different coaches (substitutes). Therefore, whenever there is new coach, he/she doesn't know my kids' levels and so they have to waste class time for testing... Not recommend to anyone!

The good: Great instructors and welcoming atmosphere in classes! Lots of equipment and cafe/salon…read moreservices are great! The not so good: front desk staff is not friendly to most. Especially one lady with short hair who is always chatting with younger staff and barely looks up to check people in. other's area lifetimes greet you warmly when you enter but most of the desk staff is preoccupied here. Gym desperately needs cleaning- cleaning is done by internal staff. Mats are dirty and never see anyone wiping down weights or mats / although they have spray and towels for guests to use. Restrooms are dirty and need a deep clean and improvements -( behind the stall doors- need to be cleaned)! This location is 20+ years old and lots of newer clubs going in and send this one is being neglected. Speakers in the main group fitness room only work on one side and cut out in the middle of routines. Classes were great but they keep changing formats and if there are less than 12-15 in a class they cut the class. For the price being paid they should hold class even if 5 people sign up. So many trainers around for a fee but classes seem to be getting limited compared to the newer gyms. Still going due to location but it needs some love!
