To start off i was with my two other friends and the hostess immediately sat us right when we walked in. Very clean tables and the buffet was clean as well as everything else. The only thing i would change would be to have more sushi options. I liked everything i got. My favorite thing i got was the lo mein. Very good buffet for Tuscaloosa.

Not that many options & I only enjoyed the fried bananas and it's a bit pricey for the quality.

The hibachi grill here is amazing. Service has always been friendly. One of my favorite places to take my wife on a date.

It's literally sliced white bread and a side of their bbq sauce. I got the half slab rib plate with fries and potato salad with sweet tea (of course) My husband got the chopped pork sandwich with fries and a Dr Pepper. Our food came hot, fresh and delicious. Those ribs are meaty, tangy and so tasty. The potato salad was seasoned perfect and just very traditional. (No funky potato salad here!). The fries were hot and fresh. Also very good. The restaurant was clean and even with the dark brown wood interior, still very bright. We always stop here when we're in AL. Dont miss this place! I usually get a banana pudding to go but held off today. The chocolate pudding and banana pudding are musts!

Ribs tasted boiled and then dried out which was the weirdest bbq I've ever had I LOOOVVEE bbq and I took one bite and could not take another. Paid the bill and left. I've been all over the country trying BBQ this is the worst bbq I've ever had sadly. I was so excited to try it I couldn't take another bite. We drove 3 hours from Auburn to Tuscaloosa for the Strawberry Festival ended up trying another bbq place down the street instead. (P.S. Archibalds Rib plate was $10 for 4 ribs and 2 sides, literally 1/2 the cost double the meat and quadruple the flavor) if I'm ever back in the area that's where I'll be headed back to.

I've been in Tuscaloosa for four years now and I've been dreaming about a place like this. I came…read morein for lunch yesterday and it surpassed even my highest hopes regarding a Korean BBQ spot here in town. I should say I didn't get the Hot Pot, only the BBQ, so my review only covers that. In terms of price, the lunch all-you-can-eat is $20.99 which is steep for a lunch, but this is a lunch for when you're so hungry you're not sure you can remember a time when you weren't hungry. And, honestly, if you get an entree at a local quick-food sit down restaurant with a drink and a side dish or appetizer, it will come out to be this much as well, and this is much, much better. Some highlights: The waitstaff was highly attentive and kind during my stay. The server who was helping checked on me often and showed me how their system works. You have two hours to eat and you can order anything you want via the server or their electronic system. When I did order more meats they arrived within a couple of minutes, though they request you give them at least 10 minutes when it's busier. In terms of the meats, I highly recommend the spicy chicken, spicy pork, and garlic shrimp. The beef bulgogi was also good. There are some items you can't get unless you're paying for the dinner version. I wasn't super dedicated to any of these items but if you want short ribs, a Korean BBQ staple, they are only available with the dinner version. I will probably come for dinner at some point to see how their shortribs are. One of the greatest assets of this place is an all-you-can-eat condiments and side dishes bar. You really can fill your plate up with kimchi, daikon raddish, cucumber kimchi, and bean sprouts. It's like an infinte ban chan and it's everything I've been dreaming about. Also, there's a hefty number of sauces available there, as well as fried shrimp and wings, should you desire. For the sauces, I recommend the sweet and spicy, the peanut sauce, and the house KPOT sauce. All really different and really great for dipping your freshly grilled items into. My server replaced my grill when it started to get sticky and, again, everyone was very attentive to keeping my experience excellent. My only small critique was that the veggies (also all-you-can-eat) were a little underwhelming in terms of the cuts/quality. Definitely not a deal-breaker by any means, but if you're coming in hoping veggies might be the lion's share of your meal, they lagged behind the meats. Though they did have enoki mushrooms, which were great. Finally, they bring a beautifully sticky bowl of rice to eat your meal on and they're willing to replenish that whenever you'd like. Awesome! I honestly can't recommend this place enough. It's a fun experience to sit with friends, talk, drink, and do a little grilling. Everything shares well (each diner pays the all-you-can-eat price, just to note), and the ban chan and meat marinades were genuinely good. Big city quality, I would wager, given the number of Korean BBQ places I've frequented across the country. This is a place I would drive to Atlanta to eat at, if that equivocation makes any sense as a recommendation. And, if you're in the greater Tuscaloosa area, it's so much closer than that. Hope to see people there, as I 100% will be back.

I have to say that I really enjoyed myself here I was in heaven we splurged a bit and got both the hot pot and Korean bbq. We ended up nearly try a little bit of everything. You could go up to a buffet table and get whatever you want as much as you want from appetizer type food and they even had all types of sauces to chose from. At your table they give you a table to order all your hotpot and bbq items. Needless to say we took advantage of this ordering our broths and all the meat we possibly could order. I highly recommend checking this place out. Get you a group of people and just go and enjoy yourself. For a chain hotpot place this wasn't too bad and I'll definitely go again. I didn't go into too much detail because we ordered so much and I'd be typing all day but trust me when I say check this place out! 4/5 KPOT Korean BBQ and Hot Pot - Tuscaloosa

Good Chinese Food with a Unique Bonus…read more Mr. Chen's is a solid choice if you're craving Chinese food in Tuscaloosa. I wouldn't call it exceptional, but it's consistently good, and there's a legitimate case that it may be the best Chinese restaurant in town depending on what you're looking for. The attached Chinese grocery store is what really sets it apart. It's fun to browse before or after your meal and offers a unique experience that you won't find at most local restaurants. On the food side, the Orange Chicken, General Tso's Chicken, and Mongolian Beef were all flavorful and worth ordering again. The egg roll, fried rice, crab angels, hot and sour soup, and tapioca milk tea were all enjoyable as well. My only disappointment was the hot mustard. Instead of homemade hot mustard, they only offer the standard packaged packets. It's a small detail, but homemade mustard would have been a nice touch. Overall, Mr. Chen's serves quality Chinese food in a city with relatively limited options. Between the reliable menu and the attached Asian market, it's definitely worth a visit and one of the better places in Tuscaloosa for Chinese cuisine.
