Scheduled an appointment for headlamp/taillight tinting in June. Came in and they did not have red for the taillights. They had me reschedule for July and made me deposit $90 to order the tint/hold the appointment. Came in and they didn't have the tint because they can't find the dark red, so I asked for a refund. The girl at the front desk gave me the run-around saying she needed the owner's approval and that he would call me later that day. Owner didn't call me, so I called in and was finally able to reach him a few days later. He refused to refund me, saying it was a "custom order" and that he could get the color in soon. In the end I waited a few months for nothing, and had to go to my credit card company for a refund. read more

I emailed about 10 companies for an online quote (all with high rating on yelp). Only three actually responded. The only one who actually called was Maggie from Astro. After doing research, I decided I wanted to stick with Llumar brand tint. I was still on the fence between the metallic and the ceramic. I stopped by the shop to get a better feel for the shop. I met Maggie and she was really nice, sweet and energetic. I decided to go make the appointment and I went with the ceramic because they were quoting the lowest prices for it. I went to pick up the car and it looked great! No bubbles and the color was perfect. It's been a week now and the windows are completely dry. It's been in the 80's all week and my car feels great when I get into it. It's crazy because you can feel the heat coming through the front windshield but none coming through the side windows. I've tinted over 20 vehicles in my life-time and this is certainly one of the best jobs. -Customer Service A+ -Quality of work A+ -Price A+ -Warranty A+ Thank you Astro! read more

I've purchased a Groupon to tint the front windows of my SUV ($30 Groupon + $20 film upgrade). Even-though my Saturday appointment was 3 weeks out, but Maggie the receptionist was very friendly and helpful, Danny was the one who tinted the windows and I was in-n-out of the shop in 30min. Over all, I'm very please with their quality of work and the superior customer service. read more

The rear window tint has started separating after only 2 months. Something that they (Trina) said they could not fix. The right rear window is pealing off at the top. I am back in the shop to repair the initial work on the right rear window. The guys working on the tint seem pretty cool and this was probably an anomaly. That said, both times here I had to suffer the front office gal named Trina. I'm not sure why, but she was unusually unpleasant on both my visits. Unpleasant enough for me to discourage others form frequenting this service. When I called to make an appointment to have the tint repaired, Trina advised me that I didn't need an appointment. She told me to come in any weekday after 9am and before 1pm. When I got here on the day I told her I was coming in, she berated me and let me know that I needed an appointment :/ Be advised that if you do need any work repaired, you need to actually come in to make a separate appointment to have it actually repaired. Bummer! In response to the customary damage-control response from Jim Collins, there is either an ongoing ignorance of rudeness and miscommunication or I'm way off here. You be the judge. Looking at the other reviews here, there seems to be a common denominator with the negative ones: Trina. read more

Repeat customer....have taken 4 cars in total to these guys and every experience has been awesome! -Prices are 2nd to NONE! (I had checked at various other tint installers who carry the same product and their prices were not even in the ballpark!) -Quality of material is excellent...Formula One branded film. -Top notch service! If you are shopping around ...stop your search after you call these guys otherwise you will just waste your time trying to find a better deal and company to work with! read more

Just had Astro Eclipse tint all 7 of my 2017 Camry's windows. I couldn't be any happier with the result. It looks like a completely different car. They did an amazing job!!! read more

Excellent customer service and good Job of tinting. I got my car tinted here a, after I took it back, I saw some bubbles formed on the right window and called the customer service back. They told me to bring it over and they will have a look. I took it back and they took that window's tint down and put another one back!. Would have given 5 starts but since a side of my window was lightly nicked while the tinting was done and also the bubbles were formed just because windows were not throughly cleaned before application, I guess the staff working who are actually putting the tint can be more careful. However since at the end I got a great tint job and offered me decent price and quality pinnacle series tint, I give 4 stars!!! read more

I got my windows tinted here a few weeks ago and they were great! They got me in quickly since I called the day before. The girl at the front was super friendly and followed up with me through out the day. I would highly recommend Astro Eclipse. read more

just got my silver 2014 Toyota Prius tinted. Fabulous Job - I couldn't be happier, best investment in a while. I did 40% fronts and 35% in the rear and back window, upon their suggestions. With the Formula One Pinnacle, the ceramic tint keeps the car considerably cooler. For a slightly darker tint go 35% front and 30% rear. I did hand wash my car prior to my appointment, so to remove as much dirt and dust as possible. The tint is heated and trimmed on the outside of the window before being applied to the inside. The May special price was very competitive so I drove an hour from Santa Monica. Most Formula One dealers don't carry the 35% tint, which blends in nicely with the front and still gives you night vision. I don't think the post below is accurate; Formula One is owned by Eastman Kodak and they are selective with their dealers. I looked over my job and it is top notch; all the trimming is spot on. Best part is comes with a lifetime warranty that is transferable. Update April, 2016: I bought a 2016 Prius and had them tint all the windows with Formula One ceramic tint. More than half the windows had a small amount of dust in the top corner edge of the window. Two or three of the smaller windows had air bubbles in them. I brought them in for them to look at the issue and resolve it. They looked at the issues and said that they would fix windows with air bubbles but not the 3-4 windows with dust particles. They agreed to setup a future appointment at my convenience, but frankly the drive from Santa Monica is 150 miles round trip, so I am not coming back ever again. This particular event soured my mouth, apparently they don't do high end work and they just don't care about customers and the final product? Regardless of where you go I would ask the shop and have it put in writing that there will be no dust or air bubbles otherwise they need to redo the job on the affected areas. Astro Eclipse told me that there is dust in the air and therefore it is unavoidable. Perhaps, but I'm going to pay extra somewhere else that will guarantee the results, that's why i pay for professional services. i deducted two stars for making me drive back to have them inspect and the less than perfect job. read more

Got my tint job done here to have my rear window bubble the same summer. When getting the tint done, I was told that I could bring it in anytime to get it fixed. I called in numerous times to the company to get some kind of after-hours customer service. They said they would relay the message but never have I received a call. Not having my tiny job my main priority, I call in much later again which was today thinking that I have life-time warranty. The girl who answered the phone was extremely rude and would keep cutting me off and was super defensive. I tried to tell her the situation but her best reply was "I didn't work here and the tint never bubbles up from workmanship!" Followed by "I don't want to argue with you" Whoa there ..I'm the customer and just explaining my situation. She didn't come with any solution and as a business owner myself never seen such distasteful customer service if that's what you even call it. I've been reading the reviews on this woman named Maggie on Yelp that works there... I hope it wasn't her bc this girl I spoke to said she did not work here in 2014 and was extremely rude. Conclusion: customer service was horrible with no resolutions or options. The tint work was horrible with bubbles. read more

My husband bought me the Groupon special for my birthday last year. I upgraded the tint when I dropped my car off. They did a beautiful job and I was very happy with the service. The only complaint I have is one of the workers must have been drinking a soda while he was working on my car because my right front passenger door kept sticking every time I opened it. I looked inside the pocket area of the door and found a smashed Mountain Dew can which had leaked. Not cool because I don't drink canned soft drinks in my car. read more

I took my QX60 there a couple weeks ago as well as my friends car (my friend has been going there for 15 years!!) I LOVE my tint!!! It matches perfectly with the rest of the car and the service was awesome! Very friendly staff and owner. It felt like I've known him for years and it was my first time there! I would definitely recommend this place to ALL my friends and I will for sure use them again for my next vehicle. read more

Its only been a day, but the tint is looking great! I was quoted a very competitive price for the formula one pinnacle film. (Which comes with a lifetime transferable warranty!- if you sell the car the warranty goes to the next owner which is pretty cool.) Anyhow, they were quick and finished in about 4hrs and 30mins for my 2 door coupe. The only reason I took off one star is because I was quoted by two different people with two different prices. I won't say how much in dollars of a difference, but it was about 10% difference in total prices. Will update if anything changes! Definitely recommended read more

Customer service is the best and their goal is to keep you happy! I had my front roll-ups tinted with Classic 50 and they came out very clean. I would email them for a quote or request a quote on their website before purchasing a Groupon... They have a quality control person who checks all the tints before releasing the car to you- nice to know they double check their work! read more

Got my Pathfinder tinted this summer and it has made such a huge difference with my car! My car stays so much cooler inside now, I don't have to deal with encountering a huge heat wave when I first sit in the car. I called around to get other estimates and asked some of my friends but this place was by far the best! Clarisse helped me so much! I walked in not sure what kind of tint I was looking for and Clarisse personally took me outside to get an example from her car! She was such a big help! I brag about my tint to everyone who comes in my car! Thanks girl, for the help! read more

Maggie and her fabulous team! Great work done here. This was my fourth car and I will keep bringing all the future ones here

I am happy to leave this review after having my new Toyota tinted. Found Astro Eclipse on Groupon and making an appointment was easy. After the job was done, unfortunately I found 2 defects in the tint that left me a bit disappointed. I called the office back and spoke with Trina about my concerns. Trina was very understanding and helped me make arrangements that would work with my busy schedule to have the tint on the affected windows redone. The final work was great. I would just like to say thank you. I understand this is a challenging product to apply and occasionally things don't turn out perfectly. What I really appreciated was the commitment to delivering a quality product AND good customer service. read more

First of all, Astro Eclipse, Inc. provides window tinting services for offices and autos, as well as providing window coverings for offices as well as homes. I could not find these in the above categories. We needed to have our home windows tinted due to putting hard wood flooring in our home. My husband and I can't put enough "kudos" down for the service we were given and and the tinting product used. After Jim Collins thorough explanation of the product, we felt we had made the right decision to use this company. Not only did it block out the glare, but we also found our home feeling cooler during our high heat days. Also, the installer was very efficient and extremely neat in completing the job. We are planning on using this company again for window coverings in the near future. read more

Just had my windows tinted on my 4 Runner! LOVE THEM!!! Shopped around for deals and asked my friends. Astro Eclipse came highly recommended. Went in and got a quote, good price and learned alot about the proper tint to put on my windows... I just always hear people say "limo" tint.... who knew there were so many shades and functions... and yes they were very friendly. What I didn't expect was that they made me feel really comfortable leaving my car. They gave me a ride to work which was great and called when my car was done. When I picked it up I was very pleased. My car looked complete. they explained how to take care of my windows and gave me some cleaner. I would absolutely recommend Astro Eclipse to anyone needing their car tinted... read more

I am amazed. I wish I would have tinted my windows years ago. My home still has some of the original single pane windows and every summer I swear that I am going to replace them. Then I look at the prices and put it off another year. Last week a friend recommended tinting my windows instead, I was hesitant then after he twisted my arm a little, I called out Astro Eclipse as he suggested. They were very helpful and understanding and after calling out a couple of other people stood out from the crowd. I was expecting to lose a lot of light and feel like I was living in a cave. The tint they suggested drastically cut the heat coming through the window during the day and I can still see out the window at night. I highly recommend this company and tinting your windows. It was the right choice for me and I am so glad I found Astro Eclipse tint company. Thank you again for your wonderful customer service. read more

Saw some really good reviews about this place, and they were all right. When I first walked in, I was greeted by Maggie. She was really nice, and accommodating even when she confirmed my appointment on the phone the night before. Service was quick, got my front two (2) windows done in a little over an hour. I suggest morning appointments, since they get busy - especially on weekends. Also, always call first to see if they have any special promos. Sometimes, it's better than the Groupon ad. I got the Pinnacle 50 ceramic tint. I'm very happy with the look, and heat/UV rejection. If you have a new car, it's definitely worth the investment. In fact, I could tell the difference as soon as I got in my car. I'll likely be coming back in the near future to get the back windows and sunroof done. (They're factory tinted.) read more

Call started off on the wrong foot, as she was pissed off I wanted to use a groupon as a repeat customer (even though there's nothing in writing saying I can't, and I was even past the '18 months' she quoted). She then told me the groupon for '5 windows' doesn't cover the front doors of a compact sedan, and that it'd be $55 extra for that. I was confused, as the previous groupon covered those too, and I figured she was just screwing me because of the repeat purchase. However when I brought up the terms of the original groupon, she decided to launch into a condescending lecture about inflation before hanging up on me. In the end I probably would have paid the extra as I liked the job they did last time, but the rudeness made it no longer about the money. Bottom line: for anyone considering this business because of the groupon, call first to see if what you're buying and who you're dealing with meets expectations. read more

They did the windows on my Audi A4 recently, and I was very satisfied with the work. My biggest worry was the old adhesive residue inside my rear window, but they got that completely clean without damage to the defroster or antenna grids. The young lady in their office took me to look at cars they had done, which helped me pick the best combination for me (medium tint all side glass, dark rear). Kraft paper carpet protectors and special reminder stickers on the window switches, to let the film cure, were details I noticed. Their price quote was competitive, the result really nice. Very polite and easy to work with too. Astro will be my recommendation for anyone needing their car tinted. read more

Jim and his crew are the best. I installed artificial grass(the top end stuff) and low and behold the windows on the side of our house caused the turf to melt. Astro Eclipse came out to see the damage and knew exactly what we needed. After installing all the windows on the side of our house we noticed not only the damage had stopped, but the upstairs of our house was cooler. Highly recommend Astro to anyone out there. read more
