Beyond my Expectations! I was referred to Astro Eclipse by the manufacture of my newly installed artificial turf when the reflection of the sun from my upstairs window melted the turf. I had never even heard of Turf Burn but Jim Collins sure had. He knew all about it and provided me with quite an education which my turf company certainly hadn't done. After coming to my home and analyzing the situation Jim offered me several options to remedy my mess, he even gave me the success rate for each of the materials so I could make an educated decision. Sadly, I tried to be economical and the choice I made did not stop the burning. Now that could be the end of this story but it's really the beginning. Jim never stopped trying to help me, he kept responding to me questions and never once did he say "I told you so". We were able to resolve the issue finally with a window screen and, again that should be the end of the story but it isn't... Jim offered to help me by contacting the Turf Manufacture on my behalf! Folks you can't make this up, Jim Collins and Astro Eclipse is the Real Deal. This company has true integrity and a burning desire to help their customers (pardon my pun). If you need window tinting for your car or home you owe it to yourself to call Jim! read more

I just called them about their Groupon for "full window tint" for a car for $83. I asked for further information and she said it did not include the tiny windows in the back. The exclusions in the listing say it does not include windshields, SUV's and luxury cars are extra. I have a VW Jetta, which is not a luxury car nor an SUV. She said it would be $300, and If I want to buy the Groupon they will apply the $83 towards it. When I questioned her on it she got nasty and hung up. They are totally dishonest and have false advertising. I am glad I called first. read more

A little background - I got the tint on my car about 10 years ago. TEN. And it's only now that the film on my back windows started showing some type of peeling. I called Astro Eclipse and they said to bring it in so they can check it out and I can make an appt afterwards. So I did just that and they checked it out. Being that it's been so long ago, I didn't have my paperwork with me, and I was just hoping they would find my profile in their system. After they found it in their archived files (lol), we were able to proceed as normal. I came back the following week and the process only took a few hours. Now, my window tint looks brand new and I couldn't be happier with the service Astro Eclipse provided (even TEN years later!) read more

I was advised to call Astro Eclipse Custom Glass Tinting by the installer of our artificial turf that has deteriorated. The installer believed that the damage was due to glare from the French glass doors and windows. Jim of Astro Eclipse carefully researched the situation. He discovered that that this was not the problem and that it would be foolish to spend unnecessary money on this type of fix. He could have sold me expensive window shades or tinting. However, his experience and his research indicated that the problem lay with the artificial turf itself. Jim went above and beyond what I would have expected and I am full of gratitude and admiration for his help and expertise. I applaud his integrity. read more

I am very happy with the quality and work, very nice people too. I have a classic truck a 1966 Ford F 100 that look all original. The staff recommended to use Air80 tint to keep the original look. It came out so Awsome I am extremely happy with the results. I will bring my Nova here to do the same. Great job!! read more

Showed up at scheduled time waited 6 hours for car to be done. A week later noticed bubbles still there and a scratch on passenger window. Called spoke with Maggie, she stated to bring car in so they can see it and then they'll schedule appt to repair. Repairs only done on weekdays during business hours. Called back to book appt spoke with Alyssa she stated they can't fix the scratch on tint. Lost my cool and then was told to bring in car. While sitting here waiting my husband and I were being ignored by the staff, where's the friendly customer service when they mess up! Both Alyssa and Maggie are walking past us like if we're there begging for free stuff! We paid over $200 for this. Darn Groupon gets me every time! Good luck! Thank you for your response Jim. I have no reason to make this up. The bubbles and scratch were repaired and it looks great now. The whole experience was a hassle though. I had to miss work on a week day to get this fixed. Thank you for taking the time in reading my review and acknowledging my issue. read more

Astro Eclipse Custom Glass Tinting - After tint was repaired due to bubbles and scratch. Looks great - Home Window Tinting Near Me - Placentia, California

Got a Groupon for these guys after a bad warranty-related experience with another tint shop. These guys were very clear explaining what they were doing and the specifics of the warranty. I also upgraded to the next level tint for like $15. I spent an extra $100 at the other place to get the next level (not sure how much they compare to each other). Also, I called late in the afternoon and made an appointment next-day. Very convenient as we were leaving for Vegas right after. Overall very satisfied and will continue to give these guys my business as well as refer friends. read more

I have taken all of my cars here over the years to be tinted. I have NEVER had any issues with the tint fading, tearing, or peeling. You will more than likely need to drop your car off with them for a few hours but when you return for pickup you'll be so happy you did. They have many tint selections so you are sure to find something within your budget no matter how big or small that may be. Recently, my car was vandalized and my front driver side window was broken. I was able to get an appointment the next day! They are always willing to help and I will be a loyal customer to Astro Eclipse for as long as their doors are open. A lifetime warranty is offered for all work completed and don't forget to check-in on YELP to receive $25 off your service. read more

I was looking for Formula One Pinnacle Film for my car windows. I called multiple authorized dealers and Astro Eclipse quoted the most competitive price. Clarisse, the receptionist, was friendly and pleasant. In addition, Clarisse was precise when scheduling my appointment so that my car was taken for install a few minutes after I arrived. Finally, when the wifi was not working, she made it a point to fix the problem so that I could get back to work while waiting for my vehicle. I expected the installation to take almost three hours but my car was done in about two. Don't take the quick install to suggest that my car was a "rush job". The installer had over 30 years of experience (yes, I asked about the installer's background) and it came easy for him. I thoroughly inspected the windows that were tinted and found them to be flawless. In fact, I got multiple complements about how great the windows looked. read more

the Car still looks great, even after the windows were rolled down. We went in last week and was able to get in within an appropriate time. I felt very comfortable with the staff "Trina" explaining the different options, prices and wait time. The place was very clean and welcoming. I was very unsure on whether to tint the whole car or just the front 2 windows because we had a manufacturer tint on the back windows anyway. After the explanation of the uv protection and the way it would look we decided to get everything done, I am so happy we did. The car looks great! Thanks for all your wonderful staff and amazing experience read more

After being a customer here, I firmly believe that the negative pictures/reviews about this business is a scam--or it involved a unique instance where the shop had no responsibility for the issues. All the workers--receptions, technician/mechanic, owner&wife--were exceptionally polite and extremely helpful when I needed to get my car windows tinted. I previously had my windows tinted at another location so I can compare to what is and isn't good customer service, and Astro thrives on their quality of customer service. Oh, and the outcome of my car? Flawless. read more

This review might be a tad bit late- but better than than never, right? I got 5 windows tinted here on my Optima about a month ago or so. I absolutely LOVE the way it turned out! Maggie (I hope I have her name right) was awesome and extremely helpful! She walked me through my options and made sure I was confident and understood everything. Their customer service is genuinely friendly and caring. The amount of time it took for the tinting was longer than I expected from reading other reviews about their quick service but it was worth the wait. I'm not too sure what the few negative reviews posted about the Groupon deal were talking about? I purchased the deal and was treated kindly and was able to get an appointment the following weekend. I've had countless compliments on my car since the tinting was done. I will definitely be referring family/ friends to Astro Eclipse! read more

Just wanted to say what a great company, Jim his wife and Maggie. They went over and beyond to help me out. I just had my windows tinted on my new Jeeta, come to find out the glass was stained. Once the tint was put on. it really showed off the blems in the glass. Jim took off the tint and I went back to the dealer. Once I got the glass replaced, Jim replaced the tint for free, WOWOWOW what a guy!!! All I can say is I will always go back. And Maggie, what a great gal, so friendly, funny and very professional. Not to mention, what a cutie!!!! :) Thank you very much Will read more

Excellent service provided. I am very happy with the quality of work and customer service from this place. The first guy that helped me (Tim or Jim) informed me that the car would take a full day of work, so I made sure to schedule with them ahead of time. I called and made an appointment a week in advance before bringing in the car. I had several calls to remind me of the appointment from their staffs. The day that I brought the car in, the lady that helped me was informative about what they will be doing to the car. My mom's old car needed a lot of work to remove the old tint and they did a great job. The price was far for the amount of work done. I'm happy with the outcome of the car. read more

Wow is a word that can completely describe this place. I called recently and asked about pricing and was pleasantly greeted by Maggie/Maggy. She was very nice and asked me to come in for an explanation of the different types of film they offer. The explanation process was quick and effortless. They definitely know what they are talking about in there. I currently have a gt86/frs that is heavily modified which I baby and upon inspection, they recommended that I remove my carbon seat delete for the rear in order to apply the film on the rear window. I really appreciated the honest feedback and their ability to care for the products in my car. I believe, Mark explained that it would be better to remove the seat delete in order to make sure there are no difficulties with install and so that my seat delete would not be damaged. Honesty at its best. Today, I was able to take my car in and amazingly they were able to squeeze me in and even hooked it up with getting my front windshield done as well for a great price along with the tint. Not long after, I went to pick up my car and was told there may be some bubbles and or dirt in the film, but I did not find ANY issues. Trust me, I am a stickler for detail especially with my car and there were no imperfections or issues what so ever. I honestly am extremely impressed with the customer service and the friendliness of everyone there. I can honestly say that this place is the best experience I have had in terms of service, quality, and friendliness of everyone there. I would highly recommend this place to anyone that wants professional service with amazing quality and a knowledgeable staff. Pricing is absolutely amazing as well! I went to another place that will not be mentioned and was quoted much higher for the same quality of film. Thanks everyone at Astro Eclipse! You guys are amazing! read more

These guys came in and saved the day for me. I had an issue with turf burn in my backyard because the sun hit my window at an angle that directly concentrated on my newly installed artificial grass. I was in a panic and unfortunately went to another company to tint my window and it did not work. I was advised to call Astro Eclipse. Jim contacted me right away and explained exactly what the best solution was and why. He was so helpful and I ended up getting solar screens on two of my windows. Mark was on time to his appointment to quote me, he was honest, and very helpful! Once the screens were manufactured, I was called and Mark installed that same day. Overall, I had a great experience with this company. read more

Good job trying to cover your ass and not taking ANY responsibility for my terrible experience, making up things saying that "I loved it." You never spoke to me so either you or your staff is lying. And filthy? Like I said, I didn't realize I was supposed to get my car washed and detailed before I brought it in. I'm sure the outside dirt and all the pet hair inside my car really prevented your guys from doing a good job. Most companies, at least the one I work for, actually apologize to the customer and try to resolve issues, not blame it on them. I would recommend working on that for the future. Why would I make up something as ridiculous as an odor if it didn't really exist? I'm a customer who just wanted to get what I paid for and I get this? Everything I wrote was accurate which is why I am LIVID with the service, product and especially your response as the business owner. Any normal person would have the same concerns and I'm sure others will see through all your excuses in your response. read more

OK, first negative review I've ever written and I hate to be "that guy" who was looking for a deal and ends up complaining, but there is ample reason. We recently leased a car for our kids to drive and since its a dark car, dark interior, they need some tint . however, they are new drivers, not apt to take care of things and its only a 3-year lease, so I went to groupon to save some dough. I looked at the various offers and checked web sites, feedback, etc. and Astro Eclipse looked good, so I rang them up. I spoke with a woman and when I asked if they would match the Groupon directly, she said sure. They make more that way and I prefer to have the money go in their pocket. I asked what tint film they used for that price, which she told me and I also explained I would not have a ride home, so I would have to wait for it. As a result, she had to schedule me 2 weeks into the future at 8am in the morning. No biggie - i appreciated them doing it while I wait. Upon arriving, the gal working that day immediately hit me with a surcharge of $30 for something I can't remember. I wasn't stoked about that, but needed it done, so agreed. I then asked to confirm which film they would be applying, and it was different that what the prior person had told me. Strike 2. I was still going to pay more for the upgrade film and then was told they needed the car all day due to the car having plexiglass windows in the back. I went over the type of car with the first lady and that was never an issue. Striike 3. I couldn't sit in the shop for 8 hours, so I left with my morning wasted driving there and back in rush hour traffic with no job done. I am not a complainer, but I know BS when I get it. Sorry for the bad review, but you wasted a lot of my time. I ended up going to Tint Connection Costa Mesa (http://www.yelp.com/biz/tint-connection-costa-mesa) and got none of this trouble from them. A good deal done in under 3 hours, same day and with no run around. read more

I've always wanted for my car windows to be tinted so I found this place and thought it would be great. Later I had found a Groupon deal that I wanted to use. I called to schedule an appointment at least 3 weeks out because I had work and they were booked. She had asked how I heard about this place and I mentioned Groupon probably shouldn't have because I was treated poorly after that. I spoke with a female and said they had an appointment for Saturday morning 3 weeks out so I said great and she took down my information and I confirmed with her the appointment time. So 3 weeks goes by and when I came early that day for my appointment I was in for a shock. When I got to the counter the employee in front said I wasn't on the schedule. This is one of my greatest pet peeves of mines is when a business schedules you for an appointment and than they have no record of it when you get there. Apparently they don't use a computer to track appointments but instead a large calendar. I said it must be a mistake because I had called and scheduled my appointment but was there any sympathy? Unfortunately not. The employee basically said they couldn't fit me in that day and told me to come back next week; it's kind of hard coming back next week when I'm never coming back. They need a system where they'll email you your appointment time (reminder) so just in case there is come type of discrepancy there would be something in writing but of course we all know that is not going to happen. They need to train their employees better in making appointments. I got there early and on time and my time is important to me; they had no regard for my time. If you're going to treat people who use Groupon or any other services similar (Yelp) poorly than don't use the service because word of mouth marketing is important. Luckily, Groupon gave me my refund and I'll try another car tinting window business. I was really disappointed because I really wanted to like this place and now we'll never know. There are many other car window tinting businesses around so please try another one who will provide you with better customer service. read more

Spend extra buck and go to a professioal. Horrible customer service and horrible tint job. They cut the tint short so the top of window is exposed. They stated they do not cut the tint by hand , and that's it's precut to fit window. They said I would have to pay extra to have it done by hand and stated I should have told them that I wanted it by hand to begin with. Either way the job was done incorrect and should have been fixed at no charge. They also lied to my face when i asked for the owner , he stated he is the owner but refused to tell me his name . Bottom line this tint job was poorly done and they did not want to redo because there not making anything off of it. Oviously the installer saw he cut the tint short but still passed it off. Seriously people don't go here, if you have a problem later they will not help you out . I also advised groupon and sent them photos, they were not happy read more
