Jimmy Demetriou, President, always takes time to reply to my calls and emails. He is always willing to help the tenants in the best way possible. It's nice to feel free to communicate with the management office and the President and know they are there for you. I want to thank Jimmy Demetriou and his staff for making my years at my apartment stress free and enjoyable. Thank you and all the best to all!

He doesn't have floor covering, which the management has failed to enforce, and he plays his TV at night above my bedroom after 10 PM. You would think they would have done something about it after more than 50 emails I sent to them. At least impose the monetary fees we all signed up for in our Building Rules. But no, not First Management and their utmost incompetent management. If they do not do anything about it either way, at least they will get my review. At this point, my only options are either they go bankrupt or I sell my property to recover some of my peace of mind. They are so deficient that my money is on the former. Besides that, the whole condition of the building is pitiful. The more than a year with no laundry room. The fetid smell coming from broken sewage lines that take weeks to get solved, The constantly broken elevator, and like that, I can go on and on and on. My friends think that my landlord is lousy, well, the landlord is me, and I feel like I'm renting; no, no... I feel like I'm living in city housing buildings FOR FREE!

Wolves Den has been my Property Manager for few years now. I have found them professional,…read moreaffordable, assessable and responsive. Any issues along the way were dealt with in a professional manner. They work in lockstep to resolve any tenant issues or vacancies in a timely manner. As an owner, one should always keep an eye on your property. That being said, Wolves Den has allowed me to do that with a level of ease. I recommend them.

We hired Wolves Den property management services for our newly built small multi-dwelling…read moreresidential condo building in Long Island City, to provide maintenance services and for the management of our property finances. Unfortunately, we were forced to terminate our agreement in just under two months, due to substandard delivery of maintenance services and the owner's unwillingness to address our many concerns after multiple complaints. To clarify, the super assigned, Robert, was ineffective and unable to perform basic maintenance duties from the onset of our agreement. He was massively inconsistent with the upkeep of our property and often did not clean our building until we submitted our request in writing and even then, we watched him drag around a filthy mop soiling our floors even further. Robert also failed to manage our trash regularly, leaving overflowing trash unattended and he consistently violated NYC Sanitation ordinances placing the trash outside in the morning before noon, instead of at night, after 4pm. We communicated our concerns multiple times (with photographs), but the response from the owner, Nafiz, was to imply that our expectations were too high. He refused to acknowledge our concerns, he was unwilling to reassign Robert to another location and frankly, made no genuine attempts to help us. In fact, when we received a sanitation violation for unremoved ice/snow in front of our building, Nafiz adamantly refused to believe Robert did not safely remove the ice/snow and instead resorted to blame the building residents for the summons. Through it all, Nafiz never offered to visit our property and personally inspect the premises to address our litany of concerns. In the end, we agreed to forfeit any remaining service dates to prevent further deterioration of our property and when we requested to terminate our agreement, Nafiz demanded we sign an NDA/waiver to prevent us from sharing our experience publicly and releasing WD of any potential liabilities. For obvious reasons, we refused to sign and ultimately managed to fully terminate our agreement. For us, working with WD was terribly exhausting and between the overwhelming maintenance issues, the questionable business practices and the severely unsanitary conditions of our building, we felt we needed to help others looking to hire WD, understand what may potentially lie ahead. We do not recommend WD in any capacity.

Jenny is the best!…read more The most important thing to me in this type of interaction is communication. Of the FIVE Astoria realtors I called, emailed, and filled out forms for, Jenny is the only one who reached out to me. I know the dead of winter isn't the best time to look for a place but... She showed me a couple places I wasn't wild about but then we walked to the other end of the neighborhood to check out one that wasn't on the market yet due to renovations. We met the building owner that day. I signed a lease soon after, and she was there helping throughout the entire process! Highly recommended!

I'm surprised to see the glowing reviews on here of Jenny. It feels like we're almost talking about…read moretwo different people. I met with Jenny during a recent apartment search, which was in the first week of the month (specifically, we met on the 3rd). I was seeking an apartment for the following month. After showing me one apartment that I didn't love, I felt like she pressured me to like it more -- telling me how perfect the landlords were, how I wouldn't find anything else like it, harping on features that ultimately didn't matter to me. It was incredibly awkward, and I found myself repeating that it's simply a matter of preference. It turned out that this was one of two apartments she had available at the time; the other was in a completely different location than where I had wanted. After this, she told me that I had started my search for an apartment too late, and that most apartments for the following month were already rented by now. As someone that was needing to find an apartment during the busy summer season, this was a stressful thing to hear. I ended up quickly finding an apartment with the next broker I met with. More importantly, though, were the vast number of apartments that became available throughout the week and the month. (Of course it wasn't too late to find a place on the 3rd, how could I have believed this?) While I don't like writing negative reviews of people in the neighborhood, I'm posting this in hopes that anyone with a similar experience will take it with a grain of salt. There are so many apartments in Astoria and in NYC overall. Don't let anyone rush your search. An apartment is a personal and important decision. And most importantly: your options are not constrained, regardless of what you're told.
