Great management company and Kathy is a Gem. They also have some of the most sought after apartments in Prime Astoria.

Reviewing a management company is a bit like evaluating a car dealership, there is a tainted…read moreindustry presumption they are all deceitful, so you are wary to believe or trust them, or rely upon the truthfulness of online commentary and referrals. So, it is important to acknowledge and appreciate exceptions of excellent service and reliability; praising individuals who show competency and pride in their job duties, along with respect, courtesy, and value in their interactions. VNYPM has proven themselves to be this anomaly, deviating from low expectations by restoring confidence and care, rather than sustaining doubt and apathy. As a shareholder for nearly 20 years, in a Pre-War Queens Co-op building, my comparative observations about the detached, duplicitous, ineffective multiple management companies, and unqualified absent Supers I have had the misfortune to witness; have been transformed by Anes with his conscientious responsive team. Especially outstanding, Amy with her diligence, kindness, and delightful sense of humor; and, Izeta with her empathy, flexibility, and trustworthiness. Anes, one of the owners, is accessible via email or phone, and has responded promptly with genuine concern and diplomacy to any urgent matter I have had, particularly health related required accommodations. Thanks to Anes employing Neoly, we finally have a professionally skilled, and dependable live-in Super, who is attentive, friendly, and hard-working. When VNYPM was hired several years ago by our newly elected board, they took over a huge mess; from financial debt and instability, to prior mismanagement negligence, a mendacious incapable Super arduous to fire, and many complicated major repair and maintenance issues. Throw in a pandemic, which created complex and combative lockdown and safety issues to navigate, and additional financial strain on the residents and building. Because of the smart guidance and leadership of VNYPM, and their recommendations and partnership to the Board, it is really remarkable we are now in the best financial shape this building has ever been in, with visible improvements of a modernized elevator, and demolition and installation of tiled stones to our expansive exterior entrance. Looking forward to seeing the interior painting started, and floor cleaning finished, which will make all the difference to re-establish its faded glory, Every building's situation and priorities are different, but they all have the same management needs for dedication, responsibility, accountability, consistency, transparency, prompt honest communication, and decisive action. Management companies are being hired for their expertise, but, let's not forget they work for us, even though they are managing us! VNYPM shows an understanding of this reciprocal relationship, and how properly servicing these demands guarantees mutual success and stability for them, and our residential buildings. VNYPM is receptive to suggestions to what they could do differently or better so they can continue to grow and learn, efficiently problem-solve, and provide the highest client satisfaction. This open readiness to listen, is a significant distinction for me. I applaud VNYPM's willingness to think outside the box, and knowing when to compromise wisely. They offer creative innovative solutions, using only limited available resources, that realize the individualized vision for each building. This makes them uniquely qualified in my estimation, as they are both frugal, and inventive. Hope my positive review provides clarity in your consideration of VNYPM to manage your property. Working with him and the landlord was a solid, positive experience. The whole process went quickly and smoothly. They work with many types of landlords who have their own way of doing things. Finding parity between landlord and potential tenant can be tricky. This was well managed and we had a seamless experience. As my fiancé was going through cancer treatments, her/our living requirements and situation changed dramatically. We needed a safe, accessible, clean, modern apartment that would facilitate her recovery. The list of needs were rather imposing. Astor still found us the place that met our needs. I base my review on how Astor Realty via Nicholas conducted business. It was friendly, professional, and produced a highly agreeable result. Thanks again! He doesn't have floor covering, which the management has failed to enforce, and he plays his TV at night above my bedroom after 10 PM. You would think they would have done something about it after more than 50 emails I sent to them. At least impose the monetary fees we all signed up for in our Building Rules. But no, not First Management and their utmost incompetent management. If they do not do anything about it either way, at least they will get my review. At this point, my only options are either they go bankrupt or I sell my property to recover some of my peace of mind. They are so deficient that my money is on the former. Besides that, the whole condition of the building is pitiful. The more than a year with no laundry room. The fetid smell coming from broken sewage lines that take weeks to get solved, The constantly broken elevator, and like that, I can go on and on and on. Any issues along the way were dealt with in a professional manner. They work in lockstep to resolve any tenant issues or vacancies in a timely manner. We hired Wolves Den property management services for our newly built small multi-dwelling…read moreresidential condo building in Long Island City, to provide maintenance services and for the management of our property finances. Unfortunately, we were forced to terminate our agreement in just under two months, due to substandard delivery of maintenance services and the owner's unwillingness to address our many concerns after multiple complaints. To clarify, the super assigned, Robert, was ineffective and unable to perform basic maintenance duties from the onset of our agreement. He was massively inconsistent with the upkeep of our property and often did not clean our building until we submitted our request in writing and even then, we watched him drag around a filthy mop soiling our floors even further. Robert also failed to manage our trash regularly, leaving overflowing trash unattended and he consistently violated NYC Sanitation ordinances placing the trash outside in the morning before noon, instead of at night, after 4pm. We communicated our concerns multiple times (with photographs), but the response from the owner, Nafiz, was to imply that our expectations were too high. He refused to acknowledge our concerns, he was unwilling to reassign Robert to another location and frankly, made no genuine attempts to help us. In fact, when we received a sanitation violation for unremoved ice/snow in front of our building, Nafiz adamantly refused to believe Robert did not safely remove the ice/snow and instead resorted to blame the building residents for the summons. Through it all, Nafiz never offered to visit our property and personally inspect the premises to address our litany of concerns. In the end, we agreed to forfeit any remaining service dates to prevent further deterioration of our property and when we requested to terminate our agreement, Nafiz demanded we sign an NDA/waiver to prevent us from sharing our experience publicly and releasing WD of any potential liabilities. For obvious reasons, we refused to sign and ultimately managed to fully terminate our agreement. For us, working with WD was terribly exhausting and between the overwhelming maintenance issues, the questionable business practices and the severely unsanitary conditions of our building, we felt we needed to help others looking to hire WD, understand what may potentially lie ahead. We do not recommend WD in any capacity.
