Last year we bought hardwood floor from them for our Kitchen--A couple of weeks ago an Appliance Repair Guy scratched our floor and I wanted to see if we could repair the floor instead of changing the whole thing--I called Carlos there and he was very nice and said our floor was discontinued but he had a couple of boxes that we could come get them--He said that since our floor was a year old the boards might not match if that was the case he would return them for us--We went to the store and they loaded the boxes in my car. The boxes were very old and not in good shape and were slightly opened on the ends of the boxes--We unloaded them and waited for the contractor--When the contractor arrived of course he pulled one board out of each box to make sure there were no stains on the Maple Wood--Once they pulled these couple boards out it was discovered that they were severely damaged and the color of these the boards in these boxes were different than what I have on my floor--I immediately texted Carlos and he texted me to bring the 2 boxes back for a full refund--I still have the text message on my phone---He was very nice and said no problem. When I arrived at the store, the employee at the Counter was extremely rude and immediately started talking down to me as if I was a student in her classroom--I nicely explained the issue and showed her the text message from Carlos and she started talking to me down again and said well I am not taking them back! I was flabbergasted! I have never seen any retailer act like this! Home Depot, Lowe's, etc would never act like this--She brought our her Manager Quinn and she told him to back her up even though she was wrong and of course, that is exactly what he did---They made no attempt to resolve this or make me feel good as a customer who put my trust in them as a customer---Didn't even offer a store credit--Just kept lecturing me how he would lose money!!! Especially after I had spent thousands of dollars with them last year! On top of it! They kept the Merchandise and made no attempt to give it back to us before we left the store!! Now, it will have to go to the Credit Card as a dispute but can you guys believe all this for a lousy $300?? How petty they were/are! I will never go back to these guys and I wanted to give all of you a heads-up!

Our job consisted of pulling up rooms of old carpet as well as an old kitchen hardwood floor, and replacing it all with 3/4" engineered wood from a Canadian company called Mirage. Elite's quote for materials and labor was not the most expensive nor the least, but when going through our house, Aleksey thought of questions, spotted issues, AND thought of solutions that no one else had asked about or even noticed. He was also the only one who told us that he could carefully remove our elaborate wooden baseboards without breaking most or all of them. Every other place simply said we would likely need to replace it all. As a result, their pricing was actually lower than anyone else if you take into account the cost we saved by not having to replace one single piece of baseboard. He was meticulous, measuring three times before ordering materials just to make sure he got the numbers right. Installation went smoothly and included work like grinding down areas of our foundation that were not smooth, moisture testing, coating of the slab with a moisture barrier, etc. They also made sure they installed the wood in a manner that will allow the kitchen appliances to be removed without damaging the floor, when the time comes that they need to be replaced. Again, no one else we spoke with even mentioned any of this. There were transitions between floorings of some rooms that were at different heights. For some of the areas, Aleksey did not care for the off the shelf transitions that companies sell. Instead, he and his crew crafted their own transition pieces & thresholds that looked beautiful and did the job. Far more elegant and unintrusive. They did the same for the transitions between stone surrounding fireplaces and one bathroom. Everything was carefully thought through. The guys showed up at 8 AM and sometimes worked until 5 or 6 pm if they were trying to get certain things done. They were professional, knowledgeable, friendly, polite and cleaned up after themselves. Communication with Aleksey was always good. Elite Hardwood & Flooring is not simply an installation company. They are craftsmen that take a great deal of pride in their work and the results show it. We could not be happier with the job they did and highly recommend them.
