It was very late in the day when they finished and dark was closing in making our very large driveway difficult to see and service including the added care we needed because of cracks and some asphalt needed! The next day my wife noticed some small imperfections probably due to the time of evening and getting dark! (due to my personal time constraints) We contacted the owner Bridgett and she was so kind and friendly saying "No Worries!" She came out with her team and made everything Awesome! She even resealed all problem areas! We are very pleased to say the least! She also used EPA approved seal-coating required by our State and Township! Her business has over 40 years of experience and it shows! What Great work performed with our situation! I recommend this business to anyone searching for reasonable prices and quality for this type of service! Kudos to Jones & Son (Driveways & Parking Lots)! Thank You So Much Bridgett! As such, I didn't get to tending to my garden or yard in the same way I had in previous years. After the first few spring rains the weeds just exploded. I looked at them, totally exhausted, and decided I'd hire someone while I was on vacation the week after to get my bed cleaned up and ready for me to plant in when I returned. I did "request a quote" and within minutes, Deb was calling me to schedule a visit to give me an estimate. She stopped over a few days later, we walked through what I needed to have done (this includes cleaning up a decomposing stump from a dead tree removed by DTW several weeks before) and assured me that it would be taken care of. Two young gentleman showed up the day we were heading out of town so I was able to survey their work. They worked quickly and between the two of them, cleaned up the front and back yard gardens in 3 hours (my entire front yard is a garden so this was a lot of ground to cover) as well as a side garden by our garage. Everything was clean and, aside from a few small weeds that popped up in the days I was gone, heading in and planting a week later was a breeze. I like working in the garden so I didn't hire them for regular maintenance or planting (although it WAS tempting) but they do offer that if you want to keep things tidy and don't have the time or physical ability to do it yourself. But for early or late season clean up, or during busy times, I could definitely see myself calling upon their services again.

We had water coming in our chimney during some heavy rain. At first we called a chimney company. We…read morelearned that chimney companies are knowledgeable about the inside of chimneys, but maybe aren't the best for the outside of a chimney - i.e., the masonry part. So we called 2 masonry companies and both were unreliable (didn't come out for the estimate when promised, quoted us exorbitant prices and then THEY didn't even follow up with us). Then I did hardcore sleuthing and called Dan's Custom Brickwork because they had positive ratings on Yelp, Google, and Angie's List. When I called, they scheduled a next-day appointment for an estimate in a 30-minute window (i.e., 'Dan will be there between 2:30 and 3 o'clock tomorrow') and HE WAS. That's awesome. He was super friendly and a straight shooter. He was honest about what was NEEDED and what would be IDEAL beyond what was immediately necessary. He quoted me cheaper than the other masonry companies, but that's NOT why I went with Dan. I went with them because I trusted him since he showed up, was open and honest about my options, and he was very knowledgeable (been doing this 31 years). I got an emailed written estimate the next day, which I signed and returned. At the beginning of the next week, John and Francisco did the job across two days. They were very professional and friendly and did a really excellent job. I'm very thankful for Dan, John, and Francisco and the great work they did. I liked them so much, that I'm having Dan's Custom Brickwork rip out my back deck and laying concrete for my patio. Dan was very honest about patio options and was willing to work with me regarding timing, helping out with other stuff, etc. He's really great. My neighbor said he's thinking of replacing concrete slabs in his driveway, and I recommended Dan's Custom Brickwork. And that's what I'm doing here: If you need masonry or concrete work done, give them a call for an estimate. You may be just as impressed with them as I have been.

Over the next month, I called the office 3 to 4 times to check on the status, only to get the runaround from the customer service staff each time. While the initial meeting went fine, ghosting a potential client and failing to provide a promised estimate is highly unprofessional. If a company cannot manage basic communication or respect a customer's time, it raises major red flags about their reliability.
