Discovering these charges felt like a betrayal, especially when you're already overwhelmed trying to care for a loved one. Instead of compassion or accountability, we were met with "we will call you back" and excuses. They never called back. We spent hours calling, emailing, and questioning charges that never should have existed in the first place. The stress and anxiety this caused our family was overwhelming. No one should have to fight this hard just to understand why their money is being taken. This company markets trust, care, and integrity--but when it came to finances, we felt taken advantage of at one of the most vulnerable moments of our lives. The emotional toll of dealing with unexplained billing on top of caregiving responsibilities was devastating. I would never recommend Visiting Angels to anyone who values transparency, honesty, or peace of mind. Please learn from our experience and look elsewhere.

I fully trust in the professionals. However, we recently transferred our father to this facility due to the situation and facility he was in prior to entering Kindred. From the moment we walked in the door, we were greeted with professionalism. The nurses and doctors on staff were always attentive to his needs and did an amazing job at communicating with us. Not too shortly after, his health took a turn for the worse so he was transferred to the ICU unit. There, he received top notch care. The nursing staff was more than accommodating, attentive, communicative and professional. Most of all, calm and empathetic to the situation. He didn't end up making it out but I will say that the treatment and care that my father received was something I've never seen before. The doctor made sure to call me everyday to talk about treatment plans, status, etc. The nurses never hesitated to answer questions and give us updates. The facility itself is well run and clean. I honestly felt an open door policy with the admin staff as well. I would recommend this place in a heart beat. I couldn't have asked for anything better for my dad throughout the last few weeks of his life.

The care that I received there was totally different than the care I received in the Acute Section. I feel that CNA Brenda helped me more than I can even put into words. She was A+ excellent! There were less patients in this Section compared to the Acute Section. In addition, those of us there no longer needed the intense medical interventions that we previously needed. For me, that meant that I was no longer on a drip IV antibiotic, but rather on just swallowing one antibiotic capsule daily. This represented a move in the right direction or to say it better, one last step before being given the go-ahead to go home! Once again Victoria, the Patient Advocate was by my side in every manner. When I had a complaint, she listened. When I had something good to say, she listened. She was fabulous!! While this section had a smaller gym than the Acute Section, I feel as though more positive goals and accomplishments for me were met in this gym. I was introduced to Amir and two of his assistants, Daniela and Genevieve, in this gym. If there can be a grade over and above A+, that's what I give to Amir. He didn't care if I said I was in too much pain to do anything. He made me do the therapy anyway, which in the end, made me feel so much better. He took me from a five to at least an eight in approximately a week and a half. Amir, you are the best!!! However, as nice as this all sounded, one thing remained the same. The food service was almost never correct. I continued to receive items I didn't order. The last few days I was there, the Food Service Manager personally delivered to me my meals, making sure I was getting what I would eat. There was no variety. For the most part, I was given either a cheese quesadilla or a little cheese pizza, along with two cups of watermelon. While I liked that, it did get a little boring having the same thing day in and day out. Aside from the food service, everything and everyone in this Section helped me to recover to the point that, on October 12th, I was given the green light to go home. I'm giving this Section 5 stars!

The facility is kept clean and the workers there truly enjoy being there and taking care of each patient and meeting each one of their specialize needs. Food always looks so good and The dining time is always handle so efficiently. Thank You Bayshire for Having the Top Nurse "Doreen" and PT/OT team and the Friendly Smiling medical team and Staff that always greet us with a smile as you walk into the facility and they follow it with Top Quality Care for all patients! We left messages for the Dr repeatedly about the medication but she hardly ever called us back. We kept telling them she shouldn't be taking so much medication because she was literally drugged all the time. They never listened or decreased medication. After she was transferred out of there to B&C the new nurse discovered my Mom had infected wound on her leg no one ever mentioned! The CNA's were very nice & helpful, also the Social Worker.

My mom the client is a bit picky w/ caretakers so it's hard for Freda but she does her best to keep all 7 days of the week covered. I talked to my mom and our favorite caretakers are Stacey, Cynthia, and Lisa. Stacey and Cynthia mainly work during the week to keep coverage from what I can see. I hear them speak to my mom when I'm in the hallway and they're very nice and sweet. I'll be honest it's nice to hear my mom have small talk with people other than my brother and I. I believe these two Stacey and Cynthia are the only ones currently giving her a bed bath. If we didn't have them during the week we'd be in bad shape. They've also helped w/ my mom when a physical therapist is here w/ the hoyer to lift her up to do things so they are trained. Lisa, mainly comes in on the weekends unless she has time to fill in during the week. She's a very sweet lady whose very nice and appreciative of whatever we do for her. She's communicative and gives her advice on my mom's care. Again, we've been using this agency for over 1.5 years and I see no reason why we wouldn't keep using them. Give them a try especially if you're in the Yorba Linda area since they're located here.

Out of all the caregivers they sent only 2 were outstanding…read more Once my respite benefits ended the care coordinator stopped all communication with me, my texts messages were ignored and I was completely written off which leads me to believe all they care about is money, helping the elderly or burned out caregivers does not seem to be a priority for her / staff. Why are these people in the industry if your actions/ inactions display your indifference? Thank God that through my social worker I was able to receive additional respite for an additional year. I called AGAIN however the coordinator Karen told me they did NOT have caregivers that had the necessary skills to help my elderly mom who has severe dementia and other health conditions. My advice to you seek and interview multiple care agencies. Ask many questions, if your loved one has dementia or other health conditions and needs extra help look elsewhere. If you are a burned out caregiver and need a respite you do not have to go with this office ask your social worker for a list of care agencies you can interview and choose from. You don't have to learn the hard way like I did. I hope this helps someone!

His diligent tracking of the additional days required for her stay ensured she could safely transfer from her bed to a wheelchair with the assistance of only one CNA. When our mother arrived a month ago, she was unable to stand or walk, and her progress has been remarkable. We were also very impressed by the medical care meeting provided for our family. It was well-organized, with up-to-date lab work and clear documentation that allowed us to easily understand her medical progress. Additionally, social workers Elvie and Ana, along with Bianca, Alejandra, and Renee from administration, were outstanding resources.
