Do not be a caregiver here or receive care. Shawna had assigned the worst caregivers for my special…read moreneeds son. So much so that they will even leave him alone! She does nothing to help and when I ask her to not send someone, she will send them again even charge my hours to waste my money when I send them away. She is very rude on the phone and sends her other workers to deal with her clients. I have heard from many other people to not have service here and I should have listened. Do not come here if you care about your loved ones. My caregivers have told me she has took money from them as well!! Not good for our next generation in healthcare.

I previously received Caregiver services from Assisting Hands this year for my mother who is suffering from Alzheimer's Dementia. My mother's stage of dementia inclined her to need 8-10 hours a day of services. I care for my mother when I get home from work. I personally met a woman by the name of Shana who seemed to be managing Assisting Hands professionally. It was usually a two staff member that I was in communication via telephone for my mother's care. Shana and a woman over the phone named Chantel. They seemed to have compassion for seniors, for my mother. However, this company did not meet expectations for my mother's care. Assisting Hands was more like a car dealership experience. They told me what I wanted to hear but was not consistent with supplying quality caregivers. My mother was placed with 2-3 great caregivers. But than after 4-6wks of being placed with my mother the caregivers were not in attendant. There were times that I had to leave work to care for my mother because caregivers did not show. The fill in Caregiver's would call not knowing the type of care my mother needed. I am not sure if it was because of language barriers that my mothers daily needs were not met. One caregiver who was picking up the slack for the rest of the staff stuck around for my mother for 3 months. Unfortunately, she told me she had to resign from Assisting Hands due to bad management. I get it, people leave managers not companies. Being concerned for my mother's well being, care and safety, I no longer felt confident having my mother under the care of Assisting Hands.
