We have been visiting the Wayzata office over the past year and have paid almost $100 in fees to…read morepay our bill. Their policies of charging fees on online payments was not well disclosed. Specifically, their policies are to charge fees on credit and debit card payments (yes even debit cards). The only options free options are paying by check within 10 days or they will charge your card on file. This is the first healthcare institution that I have heard of that has chosen to pass on credit cards fees to patients without providing them with a fee free alternative such as ACH. As I mentioned you can do a check, but you only have 10 days to get it to them. The care we get is for our little one and the meetings with the therapist have been mostly positive and we have seen improvement in our little one. They have really bonded with the therapist, but we still struggle with providing them with the correct support at home. There is a bit of disconnect with the lessons they do and how that translates into tangible action steps at home. When searching for care, it is hard to navigate your options and the last thing you are probably thinking about is how to pay the bill. You are likely assuming they will allow you to pay via credit card and that your bill will match your EOB. Because they require a credit card on file to charge you for late cancellations/no-shows they also will charge your card the day they process your transaction. It required us to figure out that the charges didn't match the EOB. Overall, I think you can find a different institution that will provide you with a fee free way to pay your bill conveniently from home.

I did the adult ED IOP for a few months, saw an therapist and dietitian, and even saw a medication management provider. I LOVED my therapist and dietitian. They were such great fits for me, which I was not expecting because I have been through so many providers historically that were not great fits. However, after one year, everything changed. My therapist was randomly dropped off the face of the earth, and out of nowhere I got a phone call saying "sorry your therapist doesn't work here anymore." Then, I was assigned another random therapist who just happen to have an opening. Shortly after, several other providers also dropped off the face of the earth at waters edge... and out of nowhere patients were all without providers. Patients who already have trust issues, were given no closure with the provider they had built trust with, when the owner of waters edge could have at least allowed providers to explain they would no longer be working for waters edge. That aside, I also was really frustrated with the financial department. I am so blessed with great health insurance. Therefore, I only had a $20.00 copayments each visit. I was pretty good about making my copayments at the time of service. However, there were a few weeks I would forget- sometimes even a couple weeks in a row. And, at one point, I had $40.00 outstanding (two copayments), and Kristy called me several times to threaten "placing my account on hold, which meant cancelling my current standing appointments and not allowing me to be seen, until the balance was paid in full." It was $40.00!!!!! TWO VISITS! I simply forgot... and, I explained this to Kristy. Therefore, I was so frustrated that she would call me more than once, and over such a small amount of money. I feel guilty posting negative things, because as I explained- when I was seeing my original providers, everything was great! I sung praises about waters edge and was more than willing to make the commute to Burnsville. However, things dramatically changed over the last few months I was a client there.

We have had trouble getting our records from her since the birth was over. We know life goes on. She sent an email saying she attached them, but they weren't attached. After repeated attempts to get them, our next midwife (her mentor) requested them. The requests were ignored. This does not instill confidence in the medical industry, since our awesome family doctor would like to see them and hasn't. Both midwifes we've used required payment in full up front. Well, due to the lack of follow through from both of them after the birth is over, I would strongly recommend, as with all services (I own my own business and live this), put 50% down and 50% upon completion. At least leave something on the table to make sure everything is finished out and both parties are satisfied. It puts you in the game while it holds them accountable. If having a well educated person doing the birthing process was the only concern, it'd be a no-brainer to go with Jenny again!

She went to kindergarten last year and will be in first grade this year and while it's not without challenges they've helped her and us every step of the way. They are helping my daughter reach her full potential and have taught us ways to effectively parent and teach her so she could continue to grow and learn. It is a very knowledgeable and caring group of people and from our experience - helping kids and their families is the bottom line. I honestly don't know where we would be if I had never called BDI. Highly recommend!

We were absolutely frozen in shock. We were trying to communicate with her that this was deeply inappropriate. There were more horrible things she said to us of which I cannot even begin to describe. She never apologized, never said her behavior was terrible and bizarre when we actually made an appointment to confront her about this traumatic experience. She also used to randomly (without asking our permission) take photos of us in the middle of a therapy session on her cell phone. I am shaking as I write this and this occurred over 4 years ago.
