It is a great place to express your creativity. I love the classes being offered there. I will be exploring more of my artistic talents.

Ask about the logging history and she will tell you all about it. I felt as if I was getting free local concierge by listening to her talk about the local history, and from a local, it was fascinating. This little shoppe is right in the downtown area, off on a side street and next to the train museum. She is very friendly and affordable. The only place around to customize a photo or painting with a classy frame. We purchased a painting nearby and stopped in for a frame. Carla helped us choose a simple, yet attractive and well fitting frame for the picture. She gave us many options to choose from and has a great eye for art and colors. Since we had to leave the area that same day, we left the painting with Carla to frame it and paid upfront for the cost of the frame and to ship the painting. We are now looking forward to the finished item. I certainly recommend you stop into this shoppe; you will not be disappointed.

The shop has an impressive selection of White Mountains-related art - photographs, prints and paintings, as well as an eclectic selection of other intriguing goodies. I highly recommend a visit - I just went in for some framing, and came out with a couple of things I didn't know I needed!

I bought a beautiful little painting in encaustic, and the price was reasonable. (No New York City prices here!) Some works are by full-time artists, others by amateurs, or people who just do art on the side. Because of the location, there definitely is a 'Maine wilderness' bias in the art, but I bought something abstract, for example. If you're in the area, I would definitely recommend stopping by - it's open 7 days.

Since then my wife and I have purchased many pictures from the owner, Dana Clemons. Dana is a extraordinary gifted photographer who has an uncanny ability to capture NH's scenic beauty. He is also not afraid to capture the scenes only visible late at night, early in the morning or requires a treacherous hike. Dana is also a very friendly individual and gallery owner that very much appreciates your business. We never feel any pressure and lot of times will stop in to say hello when in town. If you are in the Jackson area Dana's gallery is a must see.

While there, we met Dana, the owner, who was gracious and friendly. Many of the prints were beautifully matted, framed, and mounted. There are a variety of landscape prints from New Hampshire and Vermont, with majestic mountains during the various seasons. Some are unframed but we didn't want to then purchase a cheap frame and materials from a chain store. With some prints in various sizes, we finally made a choice as to what we wanted. Dana was very patient the entire time although it was after his 5:00 closing time, but it did not bother him. We would highly recommend Dana and his store because he truly knows how to take care of a customer, and that, in and of itself, is a dying art.
