This is a terrific little antique shop in Gorham, Nh, which opened a few months ago. The owner, I…read morethink his name is Rich, told me he is an auction junkie and has house overflowing with merchandise to keep this place continually stocked. He deals mostly in what they call "smalls" - small items. The place is packed with all kinds of interesting things, and the best part - his prices are reasonable to LOW! This is the second excellent antique shop to open in this area in the last couple of years, adding to the three already there, so now you have 5 excellent places in Berlin and Gorham, giving this growing tourist area another reason to draw people in. With the 1000 miles "Ride the Wilds" ATV trail system exploding in popularity, and people being able to ride their ATV's on the city streets, Berlin is quickly becoming the "new North Conway" - without the traffic and high prices. I bought a couple of framed pictures when I visited this shop the first time, and they were so cheap, I didn't even haggle over the price! I had my eye on a couple of other pieces, and when I went back a week later to get them - of course they were gone!

Because these were large items, we made arrangements to pick up at a later date. Owner so friendly and more than willing to work with us both on pick-up. Great place with very cool variety of items! If I lived in the area I would be in there every day. LOL.

Vintage Junky is an antiques "group shop" on the main road into Berlin - Rt. 16. It opened last…read morefall. They have an excellent, and constantly changing, wide ranging inventory of everything from small knick knacks to larger pieces of furniture. I prefer group shops because with all the different vendors you get a better variety than with a single owner, who tends to specialize in one thing. For example, there is one person who specializes in old tools, anvils, etc., which are generally hard to find. There is also some nice old advertising posters from the Berlin area and white mountains area in general. A big trend in antiques now is "repurposing", where someone takes and old machine base, or sewing machine wrought iron base, and puts a butcher block top on it to make a cool table or island. This store has some great stuff for that type of thing. Berlin made a huge decision last winter to allow the ATV's full use of the city streets, as long as you are going to a business in Berlin. This will now open the floodgates of tourism to the area, as Berlin is now the most ATV-friendly city in America west of the Mississippi river. When visiting the area, this is a great place to stop in and do a little "treasure hunting". The owner, Maureen, is super nice and very helpful. And I've saved the best for last - the PRICES ARE TERRIFIC!! If you are driving up from southern NH, etc., you just might be able to find a super deal here, sell it back home at a profit, and pay for some or all of your gas money - win win!! .

They have a great selection on strings and accessories for guitars. A few guitars for sale and also some really cool vintage amps. I will definitely be back even though the fender sign is not for sale. Lol

He did ask us not to take pictures in the store, but politely and was helpful and chatty throughout the rest of our visit. Not to say he might have acted differently toward the reviewers below, just giving a different perspective. As others noted, it's a mix of antique and newer items, which I liked. They have soy candles with the most AMAZING scents. If you like nice nicknacks, antiques, or items with a bit of a country vibe and don't mind combing through rooms on rooms of things, I definitely recommend.

I have been back several times last year, and so far this year. The atmosphere is the opposite of what it was, and the owner was quite friendly and not at all overpowering. I don't know if cameras have been installed. I think if they were it would be helpful as there is only 1 person in the shop with many rooms filled with items. With customers coming in and roaming I can understand the need to keep an eye on things without making people uncomfortable. Unfortunately, not everyone is trustworthy. I know I'll continue to visit the shop when I'm in the area. Absolutely love the soy jar candles!
