I loved every beer that I tried. I started with a flight and chose, Blonde Ale, Apple Pie Vienna, Ass Clown IPA, and Unfold. All four were so good. Bartender was super cool to chat with. Place had a cool vibe and I'm always looking for new stickers in which they had. I will 100% be back and/or go to their other establishment, Alongside down in Charlotte.

Fantastic local brewery make very enjoyable beers. Loved the company name, love the motto, and enjoy the decor. Richelle and I tried the German Shepard Marzen, the Raisin Up porter, Vienna Moon larger, and a todays a lager kinda day, 5oz samplers . All had wonderful flavor. But the true stand out was the loaded soul II (buffalo trace bourbon barrel aged) imperial stout. I tried a sip from a friends pint, I think it's the best bourbon barrel aged beer I had. Loaded souls II, is only available at the tap house. No can, no bottles, no growers, no crowlers, no howlers, so sad I can't take it home.

If I am being honest, we literally decided to go to this brewery based solely on their name. The beertenders told us that they hear that a lot so good for the owners to be clever when creating the business. This brewery is in an industrial park which I love, smaller, non-pretentious and just about making good beer. When looking online the pictures appear to be outdated of the brewery because when we walked in, it was put together far more than what I was expecting, and I was pleasantly surprised. There were several small seating areas and bar seating. They also have a side room that no one was using but I am sure it is used often. We sat at the bar and looked over the beers and loved that they had 3 taps and 27 of them where theirs. For the size of this brewery, I would have never imaged them having that many taps and a wide variety of styles to boot. It was difficult to decide what we wanted to try and one of my selections, my niece liked so much she bought a crowler to take home with her because it wasn't one of the options in a 4 pack. Service was really friendly and even offered us to try a few other beers, many the spicy ones because Ben always thinks he can handle them, or they aren't that hot. Well... The Ghost Chili IPA kicked his butt. He said it was the hottest beer that he has ever had, which that title was formally help by Barely Moe's Son of Seabiscuit (no longer in business). I took the most baby sip ever and was like HELL NO! My niece who is a little spitfire decided to challenge Ben's "manhood" and dared him to drink it all at once as he was already red and sweating. Oddly, when that happened, he said it went down much better and the burn didn't linger as bad. This was a win for sure and we will be back to enjoy more of their tasty beers.

The Aesthetic: Laid back brewery with hilarious clown vibes, rustic decor and a carnival-esque theme. I kinda wished the popcorn machine was on, I love a good old-fashioned popcorn and beer combo! The Price: The beer was average brewery priced, not too cheap and not too expensive. The Parking: It's in an industrial area with very little around it, so parking is plentiful. The parking lot was slightly creepy at night which fit the place really well. My Order: I'm a big fan of sours and saisons so I tried the "She said her name was Cheri" and I loved the fruity, funky cherry aftertaste. I also tried a sip of the "Thai Coffee Stout" and that had a very strong coffee flavor, it's probably great with a breakfast pastry. The Conclusion: Based on the name alone, you know you want to try this place. I'm a horror fan, so it was right up my alley, but I promise even if you have Coulraphobia, the beer is superb!

Can't believe I've never reviewed Ass Clown before, as I often drown my sorrows here on the way home from a Panthers loss. Ass Clown is known for their eclectic and flavorful takes on beer, from Ghost Pepper IPAs and multiple tasty sours all the way to chocolate sea salt stouts. The stouts are always a hit for me, but I enjoy things up and down the lineup.

I have been hearing about this brewery for a long time based on their very unique name. I was in the area today and decided to finally check it out as I had had their beers in other places. I was shocked to say how small the place was, but it had a very intimate vibe. The bartender was super nice and very friendly and the beer I had was really good. Definitely will be back when I'm back in that area and you definitely should check it out yourself. Unique name, super good beer, super friendly people.

What an amazing place! We had such a great time here! Well worth the trip! This has been on our list for a while. I was a little worried that the hype would lead to disappointment, but not in the very least!! As soon as we pulled up, we knew it was going to be fabulous. When you enter, there is so much to see that you can't even figure out where to look first! We were immediately greeted by the beertender who was so incredibly helpful!! You could tell that he loves his job and wants to make his customers happy. He allowed us to sample so many beers! He definitely went the extra mile! We took a ton of pics and then had to check out the merch!! We couldn't resist buying a few things! Oh! And the beer? Holy smokes! Fantastic. I chose the pumpkin IPA, which tastes like dessert. My travel mate grabbed a flight that we both enjoyed. Every beer was seriously delicious!!! I am thrilled that it lived up to beyond our expectations! If you love breweries, this needs to be on your bucket list! You won't be sorry!!

This place is worth a visit for the name check-in alone! I had had a couple of their beers at the Flying Saucer and really enjoyed them, so I thought I check out the homebase. I'm so glad I did! The decor and vibe and atmo is exactly what you would expect and makes for a fun visit. The staff is great and make awesome suggestions, let you sample before you buy and have a great flight board. None of the beers were disappointing and i was happy to see more than one high gravity on the board. Lots of locals, which always makes a seat at the bar entertaining. You can definitely make a daytrip w/this as your first or last stop with nearby D9, Primal, and Eleven Lakes breweries.

Nice local brewery. The indoors area is much nicer than most places. Tons of options to try and they're always so welcoming.

Great brewery with a ton of selections. The bartender was super friendly and gave us lots of good recommendations. We also loved the branding from this place and bought a shirt. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area!

The building is located in an industrial park, but once you go through the door, it's a cozy, quaint brewery! They had trivia going on while we were there. The DJ was great! He was full of personality and fun! The agave lime is so light and refreshing. My husband had several stouts and loved each one! There was a great assortment of beers, sours, wines and ciders. The only one I didn't car for was the sunshine sour, but not going to knock them for it since they have so many choices.

This was a great find, the beer boss new his stuff! The beer was was clean tasting, cold perfect, they had great flavors especially the espresso stout. My girlfriend loved the sours on tap. The facility was cozy and made you feel like you were in your best friends living room kicking back some brews.

Excellent flavors across the board, loved our bartender and the local bar feel, only downside was beers were not near cold enough.

All of it is super modern, clean, and well designed. Now onto the food specifically - I heard it was really good so I decided to order some lunch. My only complaint is there's no way to order online so I had to call my order in. I got a burger and fries, chicken wings, and guacamole. The burger was great, I have no complaints at all, and the fries were fresh and flavorful. The wings were jumbo and juicy. I don't think I'll order the barbalo sauce next time, but other than that the wings were amazing. They come with fresh celery and carrots and blue cheese/ranch. Overall I was impressed. And the guacamole was fresh, chunky, and tasted great. The chips were good too, honestly no complaints and would order again. Overall I was surprised how good the food is here being a pickleball facility. The restaurant area is honestly much nicer than most restaurants in the Lake Norman area and I wouldn't think twice about taking someone here for lunch. Everything feels well run, thought out, and I'm glad to see it looks like they're growing fast. I showed up on a Tuesday afternoon and the parking lot was full to the brim - I honestly thought they must be sharing parking with someone else but no, it was just as full of people on the inside.

FYI: the parking lot is a nightmare of bumps, pots, holes, gravel and I'm glad I've got this truckster because the other one sits kinda low and would have tore out the floor pans... there's fewer people inside than there are vehicles out front - which is odd but not particularly creepy - and every seat at the bar has a body in it either talking too loudly about, or half listening to, various and assorted abuses of the truth. seems like most of 'em know most of the others but not everyone knows all of 'em, so yeah it's a sampling of the regulars. a longer bar might be nice but would probably mean more regulars already here and still no place for a random visitor... nothing on tap but it's a liquor bar and the tender will mix or pour or un-cap whatever you think you need until you demonstrate that you don't need any more... followed by an attempt to secure safe passage home - or so the story goes. in closing: I'd totally rate Jay's at a single star but the reasoning would be lost on most all y'all.
