The lady, who I presumed was the owner, kept things at a minimal. Didn't really try to make conversation and didn't even prep my brows. She was pretty gentle with the threading and I tend to not assume whether the outcome would be good or not, based on how gentle or not the threading is because I've had good and bad results from both. I trust that she probably knew what she was doing but it felt like she showed very minimal effort. In fact, I think she rushed through it when one of her customers (who seems to be a regular) walked in with a friend. The brows came out OK, but I didn't feel like she put in a lot of effort and I may have to get them redone again next week. She didn't even put some soothing cream for the aftercare! The worst part was when I went to pay, she said it was $10--while her menu clearly shows $8 for brow threading. When I asked her about this, she said, "those were the prices before the pandemic. I've been here for 15 years." I doubt that's the case and I don't know if she saw me as a potential returning customer enough or was just trying to take advantage of my first-time patronage, but she lost any chance of me returning again. I'd like to think that 2+ years of the pandemic has been enough time to take down your old price list or even tape over them if that's more economical, but verbally quoting a price that isn't reflected on your price list makes you look dishonest.

Sigh, I hate having to update with a lower rating, especially since I had a nice experience before,…read morebut it wouldn't be right if I didn't honestly share what happened. I came in tonight for a Brow cleanup, and held my lid skin taut like we're always asked to do. I didn't recognize the technician, younger lady, at this visit. I felt like her pressure on my skin was a bit rough, but I figured she was grabbing the lighter hairs and did what she needed to do. She soon asked about a bump on my left lid. I told her that it was (ironically) a scar from a threading gone bad... that I was nicked (at a different business), left with a scab, and that scar was the result. She kept asking if/insisting it was a pimple or blackhead. Let's pause for reaction here:: In all my life, I've never seen a pimple grow on a eyelid (at least never on mine... is that even possible?). Regardless, this scar that I lived through was most definitely from a prior unsuccessful threading incident. It wasn't until I emerged from the chair and looked in the mirror I realized I HAD BEEN NICKED! I asked calmly what happened, as I felt a mild sting (but was kinda used to that sting we get right after threading). She blamed me, for I was pulling too hard, and she clipped the "pimple". (For the record, the last time I was nicked like that, I was blamed for letting go, and my eyelid wasn't taut enough to glide over.) Had she simply apologized, or even acknowledged the slip, I would've let it be. Nope, she tried to gaslight me into thinking it was my fault for tugging "too hard", and insisting my scar was a pimple. Folks, whether the surface of your eyelids are smooth as eggs or bumpy like a moon surface, a good threading technician should be able to adjust their pull, swipe, and pressure adequately, or at the very least GIVE YOU CUES to keep your skin safe from harm. Regardless, I leave the photographic evidence posted. #NoFilter. Stars kept for decent shaping, no wait, and observance of covid safety precautions. Price is now $10.

My technician took several photos of my face during the process. She asked permission but when you're lying on a table and waiting for someone to apply chemicals to your eye area it feels really hard to say no. It felt like I was there to help her promote her work and not to get a paid service. The end result was equally disappointing as I didn't like the barely there lift. I have gotten the same service elsewhere and seen a dramatic difference in my lashes. After this I decided to just stick to eyebrows. I went back and wanted a wax instead of threading. The result? I ended up with wax burn. My eyelid is red and it stings. Clearly they are not used to working with wax and don't even seem to own tweezers. I give up. So, yeah, steer clear.
