It is bigger than it looks as it has a back room and also a basement. They have a lot of home decor items in the basement. They also had cases of jewelry near the checkout. I will definitely be returning here to check out their new items.

When it comes to clock repair, the Cincinnati region has a problem. There are very few skilled…read moreclock repair specialists that do consistently good work at a reasonable price. If you use Google or Yelp to check reviews, they are all over the place. We have been looking for a dependable clock repair shop on the Northern KY side of the OH river for the last 3 years. About 2 months ago I took our Howard Miller Mantel Clock to a Jewelry Store in Erlanger, KY offering clock repair. I was told that the bushings in the clock were shot. Since it was 43 years old, they could order me a $395 new clock movement from Germany, or, as a Howard Miller Dealer, sell me a new Mantel Clock for $895. I find this interesting as I have had this clock serviced, cleaned and oiled twice before in Cincinnati. Never, has there been a suggestion that the clock had a problem. Recently while driving through Covington, KY on Madison Ave, I got stopped at a red light. Looking over to the right there was a sign..."Tick Tock, we do Clock Repairs" under the Motch Jewelers sign. When taking the clock into Motch Jewelers, I explained all of this to the owner. I also commented that I was reticent to sink money into the clock if the timepiece was shot. The owner of Motch said she would share this info with their technician. He would need a week to assess the situation, and give me an estimate. No work would be done before I gave the OK. About 10 days later I received a call from Motch, with a quote for $175. My reply was, "Are you sure it doesn't need new parts?" They assured me that the clock would be cleaned and serviced and that if new parts were needed, they were included in the quote. I gave the OK. A few weeks later they called saying that the clock was ready. It has been about a month since I picked up the clock. It sits on the mantel keeping excellent time. The chimes on the 1/4 hour are wonderful to hear again. Motch has earned our business by doing all that they said they would. While this review pertains to clocks, they also offer a full line of jewelry as well as new and vintage watches. Give this Jeweler, located in the changing city center of Covington a try. They do good work!

Less than 5 minutes off of 74 this locally owned shop has already saved me more money than I could have imagined. The owners John & Mary Beth are delightful. They will go above and beyond to save you money on anything you could possibly need. It is kind of hard to give an exact retail description. They carry A LITTLE BIT OF EVERYTHING! It is so amazing. Everything from womans clothes to tools. It really is a treat walking around this place. The owner informed me he sales just about everything 50% off of retail which is nice for someone like me that has champagne taste on a beer bottle budget. If you go in and are looking for something specific and you do not see it, ask John about it. He may have is stored away. He informed that he has more stuff than he has room for which is great! You won't find a better deal on such a wide variety anywhere else that I have encountered. The town is nice, very clean and getting better. The parking is nice and the shop is in such a convenient location. A local business that is doing something new and I love it!

The Spotted Goose is a cute children's clothing store with cute little accessories. However, I…read moredon't come here often or as my go-to place as they are extremely expensive. They do carry really good brands, but I'm not spending $50-$80 on just a sweat TOP. Yes I capitalized top because this is just the price for the top not the bottom included. For an entire sweat outfit it's like $100-$120 dollars, or one shirt (not matching tops and bottoms) is like $70-$80. I'm also not interested in spending $150 on 2-3 pieces that my daughter will only wear for like 2-3 months because she grew out of it. I like the best bang for my buck. I like to come here when I am looking for something specific for my daughter. Like, I just bought her 1st birthday picture outfits from here. They are adorable but once again expensive. I don't mind spending extra for pictures because it's a memory I will have forever and it's not often I'm spending $200 on 5 articles of clothing she'll grow out of. For a necklace, tutu, headband, bloomers, a plain pink shirt with ONE spelled out, and another headband the total came to be $198 (with tax). See my point, and out of all of this she can only wear the headbands and necklace again. Overall, The Spotted Goose has the cutest clothes and friendly staff but like I said they are more on the expensive side. I definitely pull them out of my pocket for special occasions.

The Spotted Goose is a charming and somewhat eclectic children's boutique in the heart of Oakley. I walked in hoping to find a unique gift for my best friend's newest addition. I didn't leave disappointed! The only problem was that I had too many choices to choose from. Each piece was different, charming, and something I would love to unwrap someday. I walked in and was greeted by a friendly, helpful woman. I explained what I was looking for and she asked thoughtful questions, leading her to some recommendations. They had just gotten in a shipment of child snoods, a type of neck warmer you can pull up over your head like a hood. There were homemade baby teethers, sensory blankets, Ohio bibs, crocheted crowns, hand sewn moccasins chic outfits, patterned bloomers and of course, Sophie the Giraffe. How could I choose?!?! While I was trying to find the perfect gift, more mothers came in and their children were able to play in the colorful area in the back. There was a drawing table, books and plenty of activity space to keep them busy. What a cool place! Where was this store when I was a kid? I ended up selecting onesie stickers for the new mom to catalogue the changes of her little girl (and most likely post on facebook). They were a pattern I hadn't seen in chain stores, and that made me love them even more. In addition to being the cutest baby, her facebook album will also be the best. The wrapping was beautiful. They did free gift wrapping- white and silver polka dotted paper inside a cellophane bag, tied with a pink ribbon. I selected an adorable gift tag and cannot wait to give it to my friend. The sales woman was wonderful, welcoming and attentive to each customer. Oakley is lucky to have this gem and I cannot wait to return when my friends come to visit!
