The same is also true for service (if you need it). I have never been pressured here, but always welcomed. In the past three years, I have visited countless times. I only purchase when I feel time is right, and in those three years I've purchased only three times. And yet every time they greet me with a smile! That's the way to build a business relationship. And when things go wrong? I was recently given the wrong box for a watch I purchased at closing time. (I got the watch all right, just the wrong box.) It was resolved before opening the next day. Perfect! Everyone in the store is wonderfully helpful. I usually deal with John F and John P while looking at watches, and every time it's like visiting old friends. Why go anywhere else?

I ended up going to watches of Switzerland down the road and they were extremely pleasant to deal with.

Shulz Jewelers…read more Many years ago when Schulz was located in Covington, Kentucky, they were the place to buy jewelry or get a clock or watch fixed. The old man had come from Germany where he was a jeweler and he was the best. Now they are located in Ft. Mitchell and the old man is long gone. I took a watch there to get a new battery and they said I had to leave it for a week before they could give me an estimate as to how much it would cost to repair. I was also told it never actually takes a week. They never called as promised. I was told it would cost round $250.00 to repair and I would have to wait another 5 to 7 weeks. In the past they charged me $125.00 for a new crystal. Another jeweler I found charges $50.00. I finally got it back after 10 days and took it to another jeweler. The new jeweler replaced the battery for $15.00 and said that an insulator was blocking the battery, which probably occurred when Shulz first looked at it. The new jeweler fixed it. Fifteen dollars and 15 minutes not $250.00 and seven weeks. Times have certainly changed.

While visiting Cincinnati, I stopped by this shop to replace a bracelet and was shocked by the…read moreblatant lack of customer service. When I walked in, I was completely ignored. A few minutes later, two women entered and were immediately greeted and offered help. The double standard was obvious. Only after my expression made it clear I was unimpressed did the employee finally say something -- claiming the other women had an appointment. That excuse doesn't change the fact that I wasn't even acknowledged when I walked in. Greeting a customer takes seconds, and the indifference I experienced spoke volumes. I make it a point to support small, local businesses when I travel, but this kind of dismissive and selective service is unacceptable. If this is how they treat customers, I would strongly suggest taking your business elsewhere.

The shop was buzzing and busy, but the staff was so friendly and we didn't have to wait too long. They even suggested going to get a cup of coffee from down the street. There were plenty of bracelet options - silver, gold, and gold plated. I felt like they had something for every price range. You could get rings, necklaces, bracelets, and more! I personally chose a gold bracelet with an initial charm, and Elaine B. put it on me herself :) While waiting for our turn, we shopped around the store, and there were lots of beautiful, minimalist jewelry items for sale that I LOVED. I would definitely return and get some thing else another time.
