The facility itself is clean, as clean can be anyways. There are about 15 or so stables for the horses. Plenty of area for them to hang out too. There is an indoor and outdoor arena. The indoor arena is a little small and perfect for beginners and cold rainy days. The outdoor arena is large with jumping bars. We have Tracy as our instructor and boy can she do her job well. She has lots of patience with my daughter but she also knows when to challenge her to help her become a better rider. I totally recommend her for lessons. Overall this place is great, check it out if you have a chance.

I boarded a horse here for several years, leasing him to another client in the barn when I left for college and ultimately selling him with Shannon's help. The level of care is excellent; I never worried about my horse when I was not around, knowing he was in good hands. Shannon (the owner/trainer) lives on the premises and keeps a close eye on things. The horses are happy, healthy, and get regular turnout. I didn't realize that these basic things were so hard to find until I moved away and started riding elsewhere. In some areas, good turnout is nearly impossible to find. SWF also offers a beautiful, large outdoor ring, a covered round pen, and a nice new heated tackroom. The indoor arena is on the small side, but it's quite functional and it definitely teaches you to look through your corners and set up for every fence! In summary, SWF provides excellent horse care and training for hunters and jumpers, with well-maintained facilities and knowledgeable, reliable barn management.

But they let my six year old go on a horse that they later claimed gets spooked by water and then had the horse got right by water so when it got spooked it took off beyond the control of the girl holding it and ended up throwing my daughter into a tree. Fortunately it was only cuts and bruises, but it was wildly irresponsible of them and very dangerous and horrible of them.

I parked here because there were spaces on my route that I could utilize right away. The dirt path that goes around is very scenic and Heritage Park definitely adds the pleasure of that. Heritage Park is also conveniently located next to downtown Olympia so if dining out or shopping is also on the agenda to exploring the Park you can definitely do that too! I've been wanting to come to this park for several years and I'm so glad I finally did! It is as alluring on foot as it was by passing by it in the car!

We ended up stopping here just by happenstance because we needed to let our dog out to potty when…read morewe were in the area. However, we probably spent an hour here overall, just enjoying the park. There was plenty of parking here and they have a nice little waterfront boardwalk where you can enjoy the breeze and check out some of the boats. There are also benches and grassy areas where you can stop and relax. I always appreciate a dog-friendly area when I'm traveling with my fur baby. They had some sculptures scattered around the area which were lovely. They had picnic areas, a small playground and restrooms as well. It was easy to spend a lot here just relaxing and taking it all in.
