We ended up stopping here just by happenstance because we needed to let our dog out to potty when we were in the area. However, we probably spent an hour here overall, just enjoying the park. There was plenty of parking here and they have a nice little waterfront boardwalk where you can enjoy the breeze and check out some of the boats. There are also benches and grassy areas where you can stop and relax. I always appreciate a dog-friendly area when I'm traveling with my fur baby. They had some sculptures scattered around the area which were lovely. They had picnic areas, a small playground and restrooms as well. It was easy to spend a lot here just relaxing and taking it all in. read more

Came out for the middle school concert at the Shelter. Beautiful backdrop with the sailboats floating past being the kids. They need more chairs, but I brought camping chairs, so I'm good. It's very clean and the restroom is surprisingly clean too. read more

A very beautiful park in downtown Olympia/Port of Olympia! I love walking down here with my dog and fellow doggy friends.

I went here during nighttime, and it was okay. it just would have been nice to have street lights of some sort so that I could take nicer photos and really see the bottom of the depression. Also, there was this car that watched me to do all of this and if that was U, I was just checking out the scene. Was not about to k-word myself. But thank u for being on standby read more

Beautiful little park setting right out on the marina. I love to get a scoop of Olympic Mountain ice cream from the Bayview Thriftway and then enjoy it on the dock here. While there is sometimes a marina-y smell it doesn't detract from the peaceful views of the water from this little landing. The paths are pretty narrow here so it's a good idea right now to wear a mask if you're walking your dog through here or are here on a warm sunny afternoon! On the other side of the landing is a modest local yacht club. While there are sometimes vagrants hanging around the area nobody has ever really approached me and it feels like a safe area. There's plenty of parking if you're shopping at the grocery store so just make sure to grab an ice cream before leaving your car here while you roam the docks! read more

Love this area. Beautiful boardwalk, fun statues, gorgeous setting. Very vibrant and fun place. The one negative review... eh whatever. Olympia certainly has its homeless struggles, but so does the rest of the world. Sad, yes. Public health and mental health crisis certainly. Olympia the worst of the worst? Please. If you are used to living in a hole in the middle of nowhere, maybe a homeless person will freak you out. I've been here many times and never felt unsafe, and there are tons of people around enjoying the beautiful waterfront. read more

Visited here on a mid-Friday morning and had the place mostly to ourselves as it was a sleepy kind of overcast morning. The park is a long boardwalk along the water with a variety of statues & art (I've heard many of the art pieces are changed out each year) and there is a grassy area with a small playground area as well and some picnic tables. There are trees, flowers and other landscaping along the walkway as well and some benches if you'd like to have a rest and enjoy the beautiful scenery along the harbor and watch the boats. And bonus points for being a smoke-free & vape-free park! Oh, and it's a short walk from the Olympia Farmers Market and there are plenty of places within walking distance nearby to get a coffee, beverage, meal and do some shopping. read more

I'm going to keep this brief, but I love Percival Landing. It feels really safe to me because it's slightly off "the strip". It's a wonderful place to walk at all times of the day but I love to walk down here at night if I'm not walking around Capitol Lake or The Capitol Campus which are my other favorites. You can really catch some beautiful sunsets in the summer time when the gray clouds of rain that we all know too well in Washington aren't hanging gloomily overhead. The reflection of the sunset on the water is amazing and there are several places to sit or stand quietly and just get your peace or watch boats or kayakers. read more

Percival Landing is a nice walk during all times of the year. Fall is a very pleasant stroll extending from near Port Plaza all the way to the Bayview Thriftway. There are nice views of the boats, Olympia, and the temporary and permanent public art. Much of the artwork displayed on Percival Landing is temporary (The Plinth Project) and is replaced every July. Among the permanent displays are The Kiss, Kojira II, South Sound Map (a mosaic), and Tide Pool of Time. The Sandman is a fun vessel to photograph if you are ever in the vicinity. Percival Landing hosts Harbor Days and the Wooden Boat Festival. read more

It really is just a boardwalk but when you add the sculptures, party room, park & picnic tables then you've got a community spot for a small birthday celebration, fair or agency team building event. Today there were lots of folks walking for fitness, biking, catching Pokémon, taking pix or just watching the birds & jelly fish. Go visit on a holiday so you don't have to pay for parking. The only suggestion for improvement would be to make sure the boardwalk is even. I tripped over the different sized planks too many times. read more

We came here on a Friday afternoon with our two boys the place was pretty packed. The park has a great location downtown in Percival Landing. There are two play areas one for 5-12 years old and the other for under five years of age. There's a nice open grassy space right next to the playground. There are two Christmas tree structures with rope that you can spin which our boys loved. When the kids get tired you can look at the boats nearby sitting in the docks. read more

Boardwalk, boats, birds, docks, art, people and rain 9 months each year! Ok, scratch the last one and replace it with sunshine 3 months each year! Percival Landing is one of the Capitol city's gems. It's the setting of your private constitutional or the venue of a weekend fair. read more

Percival Landing Park is not only a great park but the playground is in a fantastic location right next to the water in downtown Olympia. Children can play on all of the fun equipment and when they are done, they can enjoy walking on the boardwalk down to the Farmer's Market while taking in the views of the boats along the way. read more

I love the atmosphere here, especially on summer evenings when the setting sun paints the sky vivid shades of gold, pink and purple amongst the moored sailboats with views of the Capitol building in one direction and the Cascade Mountains in the other. The weathered wooden boardwalk, the newly build playground and nearby restrooms, the statues and shops culminate in a picturesque environment which is fun and relaxing to stroll through; a peaceful destination. Lastly, this has recently become a popular spot for fans of Pokemon Go, as there are many Poké stops along the boardwalk, promising leveling up, lures and locomotive levity. read more

I love all the remoding they have done at the water front, particularly pulling up non-native plants and putting in native plants and lots of art. There are also more places to sit and a great play ground. The water front was always pretty because of the water, but now the landscaping is worth looking at too! read more

Ya know, it's cool and all. Nice scenery and very olympia. The only thing that drives me crazy is the ugly, stupid, hipster artwork that's portrayed. I don't want to see a bunch of garbage molded into a naked man, penis and all. Or a giant rock, renamed stone or whatever. It's annoying, not chic or deep. Grow up. Olympia shouldn't be celebrating mediocrity; no wonder the homeless love it there! read more
