This park is kept up nice. It's right off Ruddle Rd. and on bus 66 and possibly bus 68 routes. I…read moretravel bus 66 so know it runs thru there. I have seen 68 on the bus stop stickers however know nothing about that bus because I never use it. The park opens up off of Ruddle Rd with a nice walkway. There is a small pond like yet cleaner water way immediately on your left as you stroll through the opening of the park. Some water fowl eagerly await to greet the average walker. Did I say eagerly awaiting water fowl and average walker?? Well look out!! Some of those water fowl are protecting THEIR home so be ready to hustle your bustle ye average walker!! If not, you just might get pecked and encouraged by a fowl or two to step firmly and quickly away from them and walk on your way through the park. After all, some of nature's joys are best observed in their own habitats. The park is large and kept clean. It certainly is its own invitation to frequent this wonderful nest for animals and humans alike. There are restrooms, kept clean and an area where you can get poo bags for "Fido" in case you need them. The grass is so green and plush. Kept nice, mowed and trimmed. Lots of places to kick a ball around. Trees are blooming so for me, that means another trip to this wonderful park!! I am curious to smell what I have yet to see.

I can't believe I've never been to this park before! There is so much space, 46 acres of it to be…read moreexact. Luckily it was one of the few days of sunshine and good weather in WA, so I could enjoy laying in the grass. There is something here for everyone. BBQ grills, rugby/soccer fields, baseball/softball fields, basketball courts, trails, doggie doo bags, public restrooms, sand volleyball courts, tennis courts, picnic shelters, child & toddler playgrounds and a skate park. It's very well kept and still looks brand new even though it's been around since 2004 I believe. Check this place out before summer is over.

Wow! This park is gigantic. So huge. I started off in one of the five parking lots that has the…read moremajority of the walking/hiking trails. There is so much variety in the trails. You can cross the bridges over the streams into the jungle of ferns and moss and low lying foliage. There were logs to jump over and ivy to trek through. I really really liked the trails here. There were some up hills and down hills and obstacles just the way I like it. If you're not much for trails, there is so much for others to enjoy. For the kids there is a huge playground similar to the one at Fort Steilacoom. If you want to bring a boat, there is a boat launch and boat house. I'm not sure if there is a fee or anything but the park is unattended so there doesn't seem to be anyone to pay anyway. Doesn't appear that you need a Discovery Pass for this one either. There is parking for trailers, motor homes, and campers and so many bathrooms. There are baseball fields and it's right next to a golf course. I may be wrong but there were no doggie doo bags that I could see. There are several large parking lots with places to grill and have parties. At first I was a little sketched out by one of the lots because there were more than a few folks smokin da herb (it's legal so whatever) but the area is regular patrolled by the sheriff. Definitely a bookmark on this park.

We showed up in August hoping to rent kayaks. Due to algae bloom it was not safe to go in the lake…read more They charge to go in the lake. When I went thru the gate, there was no mention of the lake being contaminated. Other than that, it was a nice lake. Will try it again next summer.
