Masters of the scam system! Xrays every time!?! Huh? Charge you "deep" cleaning - when your insurance covers normal cleanings. Miss diagnosis to rack in money - and had to cancel appt last minute multiple times. The receptionist is snarky and cold. Avoid Avoid Avoid read more

Horrible Customer Service. Front office and reception were extremely rude, would not listen when I was trying to make an appointment, and completely ignored me and everyone else waiting when their lunch got in. They even yelled at the poor food delivery guy, and from what I gather called him after to yell at him some more. Disgusting behavior, would not recommend. read more

This is the worst they lie bait & switch I thought I bought a plan for over $800 & they said it for a mouth cleaning &1 procedure when I called to get my 2nd cleaning they said it wasn't cover so what did I pay for crazy!!! Never again !!! read more

I had a lot of work done with them and yes the scheduling was good and the office staff was very helpful. However, I paid for cleaning and some minor repairs and financed additional work needed. I did not have the time to get back to them and instead of refunding the money to my debit card ($700.00) which was paid by me. They issued it to the finance company and it was not their money. Needless to say be careful with money there. They also butchered my mouth during the surgery. read more

We have been so pleased, switching our dentistry to Aspen. I am using the motto tooth aligners and I am totally amazed of how well they are working. The app is pretty great to use and after I do my scans it loads my progress and there is also a time lapsed portion that lets you see the work the aligners are doing. I totally recommend these guys and trust them with my dental needs. read more

Total RIP off. They tell you that you need unnecessary procedures. I was told I need a crown on a tooth but when I had the original x-rays they did not mention anything about a crown. They only mentioned it . months later. The odd thing is that 2 other people said the exact same thing happened to them. Also the actual dentist checked my gums and said they looked ok but the girl who cleaned my teeth about 2 weeks later said I had the beginnings of periodontal disease. Unscrupulous behavior. read more

My appointment December 20, 2024 was to be for cleaning when I arrived I was told I owed $98 when I questioned what the $98 was for they said it was for an antibiotic syringe I had no antibiotics syringe next thing is I owed $9 for a copay I have talked to both of my insurance policies with physician and Aetna and I do not have a copay with either one for typical cleaning I do not take fluoride and I take antibiotics before I come and afterwards. I don't know what type of business you are running but it seems like a scam to me. And your get out the front desk was very helpful but your gal who is seeing when you are done with your appointment had nothing to say to me felt she was very rude and arrogant. I wonder how many other patients have the same issue sounds like it could be a pattern Deborah Johnston I will check with the better business to find out if there are other concerns. read more

Beware of the "upsell." I scheduled for an exam, the exam found that I need a cleaning. Ok, I can see that, it's been a while. Scheduled the cleaning and the cost estimate included some things I don't need, like a $135 toothbrush and a few other random charges irrelevant to a cleaning, none of which would be covered by insurance. Also, I arrived at 9:45 for a 10:00am appointment. I was not called back for my exam until 11:00am. Then I waited in the exam room for what seemed like another 45 minutes. Afterward you are required to meet with the office manager to put a down payment on your next visit. I left the office at 12:20pm. Over two and a half hours in the office for X-rays, exam and to schedule a cleaning at a later date. The staff was friendly and apologetic throughout. I did schedule the cleaning and hopefully my office visit for that appointment will go smoother so I can update this review. My advice though, go through your bill and estimates with a fine tooth comb. read more

I had a terrible toothache and went to Aspen. Was told I "had to have 2 teeth extracted". Also, was told implants would be approximately $10,000. Went to another dentist. Well, I did not need extractions at this time. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DENTAL OFFICE. read more

I had to go back because my first set of dentures were a mess. The 2nd set was worse. I finally got a serviceable set, but they were still under par. Aspen Dentals scheduling was awful. Every time an appointment was made they would try to get my husband in a day early or an hour earlier due to cancellations constantly rescheduled him. I thought to myself every time the hygienist asked what time do you want to come in I'd say just pull one out of the bag because I know his appointment will not be available after handing him the appointment card. He got the remaining money back and he went elsewhere. The hygienist exaggerated how bad his gums were. As most of you know you have to pay up front. They must have thought he wouldn't walk away in the middle of treatment. Bad call on their end. I can't believe it's legal for Aspen to deceive their clients! Aspen dentist said he needed a cap his current dentist says no he doesn't. What comes around goes around Aspen dental bad luck to you! read more

Got dentures last year. Was quoted $7000 with a 7 year warranty. Went back in to have my upper trimmed a bit. They said it would be $91.00. So the 7 year warranty means nothing. They also said that my bottoms were temporary and it would be another $800 to get the permanent ones. They tried to sell me a toothbrush for $150.00 I was also told I needed a crown on one of my remaining bottom teeth but was not told this at the initial consultation when they reviewed the results of my X-rays with me. I was the third person I know that was told they needed a $1500 crown on the exact same tooth. (What are the odds?). Finally the dentist told me my gums looked good but then when I went for a cleaning a few days later the dental hygienist told me I had periodontal disease. I was also charged for the cleaning which should have been included in the warranty. All of these extra charges should have been explained during the initial billing consultation. They give you the impression that the warranty covers everything for 7 years as long as it is not neglect on your part. I could go on and on. I would rather go toothless than deal with these complete scam artists. It is a crime and they should be shut down. If I had the money and time I would consider suing. read more

BEWARE!!!!! I should have read the reviews before choosing Aspen Dental in Ormond Beach. They nickel and dime you to death and bury in charges. They billed my husband $135 for a toothbrush he doesn't need. They also charged $30 for a cancer screen which is covered by our plan. Additionally when I went, they also charged me the $30 for the screen despite me showing them the insurance documentation. They said they'll credit my account. I told them I want a refund NOT a credit. I have been calling without success to get my refund. No one will return my call. I'm going to have to go in person to return the toothbrush and get our refunds. BEWARE- check your bills before paying and review your insurance so you don't get screwed. The dental care seems ok. I will be contacting my insurance company to complain as well. read more

stop wasting people's time, it's costs them money & headache, Absolute worst service you could ever expect . these guys are running a car dealership not actual dental service. I made an appointment two weeks ago for hygienist special as per website advertised. I explained to them that I don't have time during the week and I have to take time of work to do this. They assured me that this would be done without any problems and they could do the hygienist and if more was needed they were going to suggest to me at the end. This place is all about sales scam and not really thinking about the customer. Nobody told me I would not see a hygienist this day and it just would be only a consultation. Extremely disappointed I thought going to a franchise medical dentistry would be reliable and trustworthy but I was wrong. read more

Con Artists. How would you feel if you were told you had four cavities, and the cost to fix would be $1000, and then went to a legitimate Dentists office and found out that there is absolutely nothing wrong with you? No one should go to Aspen Dental. Bait and Switch, with their promise of free x rays. I saw some older people in the waiting room, and it infuriates me that they take advantage of everyone, especially the elderly. It was explained to me from my dentist that when you go to "for profit" Dental groups, they need to meet a monetary quota each month, otherwise the money is taken out of their salaries, so they start to "see things" that are imaginary! So no money is taken out of their paychecks- stolen from you instead. Luckily I told them I would think about it before they stole money away from me. Shame on you Aspen Dental. I hope they become bankrupt. read more

I would definitely not recommend this company. I will say that all the people I dealt with, from the person who took the X-rays to the hygienist to the dentist, were wonderful. And I thought the exam was very thorough. Where I have the problem is with their business practices. When the office rep "went over" my treatment plan it wasn't in detail. I admit I was in a bit of a hurry because I had to get back to work so I didn't look all that closely and the total amount I was expected to pay didn't seem unreasonable. But when I got home and really looked at the plan I see what they did. As shown in the photo, they included a charge of $135 for a new electric toothbrush. That was never mentioned to me. And I told the folks during my exam I used an electric toothbrush. I have a very good electric toothbrush and do not need a new one. So I see this as a blatant opportunity by Aspen to get me to pay for something I didn't ask for or need. I guess they were hoping I wouldn't notice. It's one thing to ask me if I want to buy a new toothbrush, but it's a totally different thing to try to get me to pay for one in a sneaky, underhanded way. Also, even though the work I needed done wasn't going to be started until Jan. 19 I was asked to pay for more than half of it up front. I've never been asked to pay for work before it was even started. So, feeling like they are not an honest company, I called them the next day and asked them to cancel all my planned work and to refund the $526 I paid to my credit card. It has only been a few days and I am giving them until the start of next week before I call my CC company and dispute the charge. I have since made an appointment with a small dental practice to have my work done. Shame on you Aspen for trying to fleece your customers. And based on what I have found through a Google search, I am not the first person Aspen has tried to do this to. read more

I was a patient at Aspen, they did a lot of work some of which were two bridges. Costly by I went ahead because that is what was needed. The dentist who did the work installed them and in a day or so they became very painful. She redid them and again they did not fit. She advised I live with them a while. I tried that but no relief. When I went back she had gone to another location so the new dentist had no idea what was going on. When Covid hit the location was locked down every time I went by. I finally got an appointment and now was told to see a specialist to rectify the work they had done. No one in the office was there who remembered what had been done so I was on my own. Out thousands, in pain, no concern of theirs at all. I would never do work I did not fully stand by even if it cost me. read more

I'm kind of shocked right now. I lost a tooth and was totally distressed. I looked up dentists that accept my insurance and doing Aspen Dental. on their website it lists my insurance. when I spoke with the receptionist on the phone she confirmed they accepted my insurance. I made the appointment and drove 20 minutes to get here. when I handed the receptionist my card they said they didn't take my insurance. with an "Oh well!" kind of attitude, not realizing that I cried on the way out. my tooth has fallen out, I'm new to the area and don't have a dentist....why would the company list my insurance and then an employee tell me they accept my insurance, then allow me to drive 20 min to your office just to take a quick glimpse of my card and say "We do take your insurance but not this kind?". read more

Zero stars. My boyfriend made an appointment since he is specifically in pain. They scheduled him for a 3:00 appointment and by 4:00 still hadn't been seen. Apparently, it's a difficult task to ensure you don't over book so that you can see patients (on time) & even harder to let the patient know what's going on with a simple statement such as "sorry about the wait..." They over charge you every time. You get one price quote then you will get random bills weeks later for things your insurance didn't cover yet they tell you they doubled checked and they are covered when you go to have whatever done. I moved to the Ormond Beach area about a year ago and decided to give Aspen a try. I've never had any issues with my teeth. I've only ever had 2 small cavities that didn't even need to be drilled. I initially went in to Aspen for my regular cleaning. My next visit I went in for some sensitivity on one of my molars. I ended up needing a filling. I made the appointment and had the work done. Less than 6 months later, I'm brushing my teeth and suddenly hear a cracking noise in my mouth. I feel a small hard object on my tongue and realize that it's a part of my tooth.... the same tooth that Aspen did the filling on less than 6 months earlier. The tooth cracked towards the back and a decent size piece of my tooth is missing. I didn't even feel comfortable going back there to have them fix the issue that they created. I went to another dentist and they said the dentist at Aspen didn't even clean out all of the decay when they initially filled the cavity. I ended up having to have that tooth filling redone and now I'm getting a crown to fix what broke off. $500 out of my pocket all because of Aspen's incompetent dentist messing up my tooth. I suggest anyone reading this to beware. Do yourself a huge favor and go to another dental office. read more

He was going to replace my broken bridge. god, I wish i had stayed with him but he was out of network. i spoke with humana, they are still waiting for my xrays which aspen is reluctant to send. The new dentist in there now is WONDERFUL, she is extremely kind and caring..
