I have a huge fear of the dentist and was having an anxiety attack when I walked in, but the staff was incredibly patient, gentle, and understanding from start to finish. They explained everything clearly and had me scheduled for treatment the very next morning. They went out of their way to make me comfortable--offering a blanket, music, and just genuinely caring about how I was feeling. I had a badly infected tooth I had put off for years, and they handled it completely. While there were some out-of-pocket costs, it was absolutely worth it for the level of care I received. Don't let negative reviews scare you--my experience was the complete opposite. I finally feel confident going back to the dentist, which says everything. Highly recommend.

He took them back to have adjusted, and they charged him to send them back out not once but twice! I work in a medical facility with dental services, and we NEVER charge the patient to fix something that was not done correctly the first time. But the worse thing they did is when my dad went in again to have them checked, he was sitting in the waiting room going on a half hour, he went up to the front desk and asked how much longer, and they told him because he owed money he wouldn't be called back! Unbelievable! The worst customer service to make an 81-year-old sit and not even say anything to him. Wouldn't recommend this place to my enemy.

I struggle with severe anxiety when going to the dentist they agreed to prescribe me medication to make sure that I was comfortable. Upon arrival and going back into my room, I asked if I should take the medication now she said she didn't know what I was talking about or what it was that I was taking. Meanwhile, leading up to the appointment, they make a huge deal that I have to have someone present in case I fall and they don't want to be liable. Yet the dental assistant who is taking care of me, was not aware of my situation. Problem number one. However, she was very kind. Her name was Kathy and I had a good experience with her also. During my procedure, I had shooting pain and they had to give me additional anesthetic and we were able to finish the procedure. Again, THEY were very patient with me. Upon leaving, I asked if I would need to take any pain medication and they said all that you will need is Tylenol or Motrin. I said great! Three hours later the Novacaine has worn off, I've taken Tylenol and Motrin and I'm having severe shooting nerve pain in my face can't drink water or eat food. I called the dentist office and use the emergency extension and no one answers. I call back again and no one answers, so I leave a voicemail. Realizing that the office is going to close in the next 30 minutes, I have to hop in my car still somewhat sedated and in severe pain and drive up to the office. I walk in to five ladies sitting at the desk. Frustrated that no one could pick up the phone or return my call. I expressed my symptoms in detail and say that I need some medication and help. They say no problem. We will send it over to the pharmacy now, your doctors's gone, but we're going to have the other doctor. Call it in. Give it about 30 minutes. I get over to the pharmacy and all they've called me in as a steroid. I tell them that I need a stronger pain medication to manage my symptoms. They referred me to the emergency room. (I didn't come and spend $1700 on a crown to try and acquire Percocet...but was seemingly treated that way) Thank God, I go to the emergency room and I'm treated like a human being in pain and they give me what I need. $400 later mind you out-of-pocket The dentist office says that they've put a note for the doctor to reach out to me first thing in the morning regarding my emergency pain. No one reaches out to me. I have to call the office at 3 o'clock and I'm given an attitude and excuses. (Said they were busy with other patients....) Be careful going to this office. The doctor is great. The front office is unprofessional, rude, and incompetent.

It's whimsical, peaceful, and somehow makes you forget you're at a dentist's office. Now, let's talk about miracles -- I have mandibular tori (extra bone in my mouth), which makes taking X-rays feel like medieval torture. Enter Paulina and Thao, who manage to take perfect X-rays without pain. I'm convinced they have superpowers. From the second I walk in, Christina at the front desk greets me with that warm, genuine smile that could brighten anyone's day. They're usually ready for me before I even sit down -- I've only waited more than two minutes twice, and honestly, that's because they were cleaning up from the previous patient. Efficiency and kindness -- a rare combo! Due to old injuries, comfort is a significant concern for me. Paulina and Thao always go the extra mile: a rolled towel under my lower back, a neck pillow, Vaseline for my lips, and sunglasses to protect my eyes from bright lights and overspray. That's not just service -- that's concierge-level dentistry. And then there's Dr. Thai Nong, the gentlest dentist on planet Earth. I tease him about fibbing -- he says, "You'll feel a little pinch," and I'm still waiting for it. Then he laughs and says, "I already did it." Either he's part magician or just that good. After years of less-than-ideal dental experiences, Dr. Nong and his team have completely transformed my perspective on dental care. His integrity, compassion, and precision are unmatched. I trust his advice implicitly -- so much so that when I chose a new insurance provider, I made sure his office was included. I've sung their praises to coworkers, church friends, and fraternity brothers -- anyone willing to listen. Whether or not they've made appointments, I know I've pointed plenty of people in the right direction. This team is that good. If you think "gentle dentist" is an oxymoron, come here. You'll leave smiling -- and not just because your teeth look great.

I stumbled upon Palm Landing Dental by chance, and decided to give them a try. They were accepting new patients, and the wait time to be seen was not long - I made an appointment and crossed my fingers that the dentist and staff would be just as kind, caring, and gentile as my previous dentist. I arrived at my new patient appointment, and was immediately taken back. Paulina was my X-Ray Technician, and she was super-friendly and talkative. She took MANY x-rays, and was very gentile throughout the process. Being a fairly new resident, I had some questions about the area - she was more than happy to share her experiences and give me some advice! How cool! I met with Dr Nong, and was very impressed. He was soft-spoken, gentile, and had an amazing bedside manner. He had one recommendation, and that work would be done, along with a cleaning, at a future appointment. A few weeks later, I was back to have a tooth restoration done, along with my cleaning. Dr Nong and his Dental Assistant, Karen, were AMAZING! I have had LOTS of dental work done, and I can honestly say that Dr Nong is one of the most gentile dentist's I've ever had work on my teeth. I usually need a bite block to hold my mouth open during work - Dr. Nong assured me I would not need one with him, and he was absolutely RIGHT.....he was super-patient and gentile! What an amazing experience! He made sure I was numb multiple times, and during the procedure (which was NOT rushed at all), constantly asked if I was doing okay. Following the dental work, I had a thorough cleaning by Thao, who was also amazingly friendly and gentile. She took her time with everything, and made me feel like I was her only patient that day. Going to the dentist is one of those necessary things that isn't necessarily "enjoyable." I can honestly say that the professionals at Palm Landing Dental DO their best to make your time with them as positive as possible. This is customer service at it's finest, and I cannot recommend them enough!

The first time my husband and I went to this office, we were told (I was promised!) that all of the X-rays and procedures were covered by insurance. Imagine our shock when we were billed nearly $900 each! They forgave my bill, but made my husband set up payments before he could be seen again. They pulled the same stunt on a friend who actually referred me to the office. She has a different dentist now. The next time we went I called the office and requested the D codes that they would be using. They were friendly and gave me the codes. They were still trying to sneak in some uncovered procedures. The time after that when I called to get the codes, not so friendly. Wouldn't give me the codes. I found another dentist. My husband wanted to stick with them. He asked for the codes and was fired from the practice! Granted, he should have called the day before. He only wanted to know if what they wanted to do was covered and they can't be trusted to tell the truth. I don't know if they're knowingly scamming people or incompetence. Any ethical office will check your insurance before the visit. They know what's covered and what isn't. Shame on you! There are other dentists in town!

Long story so I'll condense it. The office was very clean and I found the staff to be very nice and helpful. The hygienist, Kerry, put me at ease, while getting me prepped. Dr. Pinker was professional and took his time making sure that the area was numb. When he started working he explained what he was doing each step of the way. It all went smoothly, with some minor discomfort when he was removing the two nerves. Explaining that the other nerves were very close. Nothing major. He cleaned up the area and then put in a couple stitches. I wasn't sedated but had a few numbing injections and laughing gas. Two suggestions I would give him is, come in before we begin to prep and introduce himself. Because I think it'd be nice. And secondly, perhaps they should call the next day and ask how the patient is doing. I've always had the doctor or dentist do this when I lived elsewhere. Just a nice gesture.
