We have been going to Dentique dental for 7 years or more. Always a great experience until now. My daughters grandmother has always brought her. Today the office manager said only her legal guardian can. I offered to fill out paperwork but to no avail. They insisted it's always been this way. Horrible for a single mom working full-time. No issues. Yes, on your first visit they will take full x-rays and will try to upsell a few services. Ask which services you can opt out of and there is no problem. My hygienist was gentle and thorough and the dentist was nice. So I was happy. Because I hated to leave my old hygienist in Cocoa Beach. read more

Dr. Patino is THE best, I lost most of my filling the day before the hurricane was going to hit and they got me in right away, put a temporary crown in and made molds for the permanent crown. Dr. Patina and her assistant are so compassionate, I had a great experience and am very thankful they got me in so quickly! I originally wrote a great review for Dentique Dental. My first visit was wonderful and they truly treated me well. After receiving my statement and questioning some of the charges the problems began. They were overcharging and my insurance company actually refunded me direct. Worst than that the double tooth replacement has been a nightmare. I still have a lot of sensitivity and now seeing another dentist. Avoid Dentique Dental at all costs. read more

I've always told my kids that "hate" is a terrible word and that most who use it don't really understand what it means. That said, I'd like to be perfectly clear. I HATE going to the dentist. I don't dislike it. It's not about simple fear. It is pure hatred. I let my mouth go for about as long as I could and after all sorts of pushing and nagging I finally took my father-in-law's advise and came to Dentique Dental. He's been going here for a few years now and the good doctor has managed to save several teeth he was positive he was going to lose. This morning was my first visit. I got a great deal on my exam, x-rays, cleaning. That stuff was all fine, but I was waiting to get that look of disapproval. You know the one. Well, it didn't happen. Within about an hour of being there I had a reasonable plan for putting my entire mouth back together and was given the option of starting right then, which we did. 3 extractions! (Ouch) Anyways, I'm no longer fearful and I'm really happy I found a Dentists that does a good job, doesn't start working on my an our after our appointment time, and seems to be a genuinely nice person. Oh! They also work with kids which is great because my son's dentist stopped taking his insurance. All in all a good experience. Looking back at nearly 30 years of avoiding it feels a bit silly now. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Consumer warning- they will tell you that they are "in network" but they have dentists working there that are "out of network." They do not inform you of this and you will incur a large bill. Shady practice. When you inquire about your bill, you will be spoken to in the worst manner you can imagine. Will not be patients here! A simple routine dental cleaning covered by insurance is all that was wanted. What we got, unprofessional customer service and money driven dental care. A practice that takes advantage of the elderly. Deceptive billing. I contacted the Dental office to inquire about charges for a dental cleaning exam prior to the service being administered. A dental cleaning with x-rays are completely covered services on our insurance plan with no charge to the patient. The assistant started quoting prices around $150 for services not asked for by the patient but "required by the office". When I requested additional information, insurance codes for procedures or tried to understand the reason behind the additional services and costs, the assistant became irate. She rudely told me she "terminated" my elderly mother as a patient because I suggested that Fluoride treatments should be an optional service. I am glad we asked about the cost before the services were rendered, just imagine getting that bill at check out! read more

I went to this dental office that said they accepted Humana ins. they insisted on me having panoramic & intra-oral complete x-rays at my expense. They informed me I needed a root planing & scaling which my Humana ins. plan specifically said was covered they insitsed it was not. I had a Humana supervisor contact them on several occasions to confirm the procedure was covered, however Dentique dental would not accept their word. They put in for a predetermination acceptance to Humana. After waiting from 1/23/18 to until March to get the written acceptance approval Micky office manager of Dentique dental still would not set an appointment for the procedure. Humana Supervisor & I called only to be rudely told by Micky she still has not received conformation a week after I received the letter. They had no problem writing a a large list of procedures including a bridge replacement they said needed to be preformed at a cost of $4,652. After seeing another dentist at Coast dental it was determined I did need the root planing & scaling which is covered by Humana & a composite filling which is also covered by Humana. Dentique is a RIP OFF. Beware their only concern is getting your money. read more

I had my first visit today as my prior dental service dropped my insurance. I am so glad I found Dentique Dental. What a friendly, professional staff. Dr Angelou was kind, well experienced and gave me a thorough exam. The hygienist was so gentle that I felt no level of discomfort. I had an appointment and called the day before to check on benefits. My insurance said they would pay 60% for a crown but the insurance girl said 40% and it would cost $1,200 because they use porcelain. The minute I walked in they were rude and even though no one was there, they didn't acknowledge me. They are trying to rip you off, so be very careful with what they are doing for you. On 3/8/18 I had an initial apt with Dr. Angelov. It was determined that I needed a bridge replaced,. I agreed. The treatment plan proposed several pontic-porcelain fused and crowns-porcelain. Their plan proposed a fee of $950 each. Under D, and Dental Plans, Soltice Plus One, the fee should be $499 each. I talked to Dental Plans Management who called their office. They said they did not perform that work. LIES. Dentique Dental plan total cost was $5,086.25 which included cutting the bridge ($75)...not needed, and a infection control fee of $6.25 each appt. I cancelled future appts and called Dr. Vernon Gordon, Coast Dental Palm Coast. His Treatment Plan for the same is $2,475.00. I fully recommend Dr. Gordon. Also, I recommend you compare their fees to what the insurance plan authorizes. read more

Made my appointment with no problem. Verified my delta dental insurance. Upon arriving I filled out my initial paperwork. When the dental hygienist came to get me the first thing she had me do was takeoff my jewelry and asked me if I had been told about the additional charges for items my insurance would not cover. I told her I was here for my initial annual exam and that my insurance pays for that. She then explained that the doctor requires several x-rays and exams plus a Covid 19 fee that are mandatory. So before I had even opened my mouth they wanted an additional $80 from me. Upon checking out and letting the ladies upfront know that I would be leaving I was treated with thinly veiled hostility. I would not recommend using this office unless you are willing to pay for unknown expenditures. It would be really helpful if they would explain ahead of time what the doctor requires so that you can make an educated decision on whether or not you want to make an appointment. read more

Dr Angelov is money hungry, nothing more. Not even sure she's a dentist as she never did any work on me. She had a guy come in, probably not licensed, to pull my teeth, 8 of them, 2 of which, my back lower chewing teeth, didn't need to come out as per my next dentist who had to finish what she started. She does NOT adhere to dental plan prices which is mandatory to be in the plan, Careington 500, that she is a part of. She wanted $6000 for each denture, the plan limited it $1600 aprox. and she overcharged each and every service and supplies to the max, again, way higher than the plan price limit. She tried to get me to pay her as I was leaving just after the 8 tooth extractions still woozy from anesthesia. I had already paid for earlier work and refused to pay anymore at the moment, she wanted denture money now and that wasn't happening at her prices. I had to find another dentist the next day to finish up. New dentist did my dentures for $900 compared to her $6000. I fought with Care Credit, 14 emails, to extinguish the debt due to her not following rules and pricing with no luck. I asked Careington 500 plan to remove her from their approved list due to this with 6 emails, again, no luck. My guess, they got kickbacks. So, after paying part of my Care Credit balance I stopped payments with $1494 remaining. Today I was sued by a piece of crap debt collector, Portfolio Recovery, and Joel Magdovitz, their attorney. I had to settle for $1580 or go to court and pay all the fees if I lose, which experience with this case tells me I had zero chance. The system is rigged in favor of big banks and I'm betting no one would deny it. I even tried to discuss it with Dr Angelov with no luck. She has top notch very expensive equipment in a fancy office, she's got bills and her customers are paying them by being highly overcharged. Avoid Dentique Dental at all cost or it will, cost you a ton. I'm a Veteran and sr citizen meaning she has no boundaries. I am very fearful of the dentist. I am not sure why, since we had a wonderful dentist growing up and we went every six months without fail. My adult experiences have not always been positively memorable, however, both from a physical comfort point of view and from a financial one as well. Dentique is just as its name suggests... A dental boutique. Dr Angelove is truly an artist creating beautiful bridgework for me within a schedule that worked with my budget. The staff is as caring as they are competent. I have asked several times to receive nothing further from this dentist but she still persists. Her prices are way out of line. In May 2012 I paid $64.00 for a cleaning and in December 2012 the same service was $96.00. In addition she made me go to a doctor because my throat was irritated and she thought I had some disease that she showed me in a medical book. BTW during my December and last visit I did not even get a tooth brush. I realize she paid for her education and office overhead but I seriously doubt the cost rose 50% from May to December 2012. WORST EVER!!! i went there cause it was part of my health insurence porgram to have my tooth pulled.and this woman treated me with disrespct and distain. pulled my tooth and gave me novacaine and no other pain medicaiton AT ALL! and said to me( when i asked for pain meds) that the tooth is gone i will have no more pain,LMAO!!!(not really) with in a half hour of leaving the office my mouth started throbing in pain(as soon as the novacaine wore off) i had to go to my doctor and get pain meds to lower my blood presure from the pain i was left in...i have found doctor qutermain in daytona beach to be the best ever,keeps me out of pain and dose a great job on my teeth read more

If I had the choice to not even give them any stars I would have not given them any. I was late for my appointment and I got a call from the front office reminding me that I had an appointment with them at 10:00 am, I apologized immediately and told them that I was already on my way and that I had problems with the plumbing in my house. The lady was very rude and asked me where I was and if I was close, I told her I was very close since I live right across the street from them. I even asked her if they wanted to reschedule, that I had no problem with doing that. I got there and nobody greeted me even after I said hello in a nice manner, she continued to have an attitude and said to me very rudely "I'll let them know you're here". Excuse me for being late, but there shouldn't be any reason for the staff to be rude to anyone. This has been my fourth visit with them in less than 2 months, and I have spent so much money here that it is extremely insulting to have to be treated like this by the staff. I love this dentist! Dr. Angelov is the most kind, caring and professional dentist I've ever been to. She's very clear about what she's going to do and is FAIR about it! She even showed me with a little camera the things that needed to be done. Finally a dentist that isn't after your money. The front desk staff is awesome as well and they helped me out with all my insurance stuff so I paid the least amount of money possible. This is the first time I went to a woman dentist and she makes it bad for female dentists. The few minutes she worked on me each visit, she complained and complained, I never encounted that kind of action. Which got on my already nervous nerves! She wanted me to believe she's working so hard for the fees she charges, when her staff actually do most all of the work. In order to message a warning to the good people that are in need of dental work, I had to give this dentist one star, which is absolutely not deserving. A "proposed" bill given to me, which I signed. Afterwards, they dared to add-on additional amounts for the same "proposed" work. As a retired bookkeeper, I should have known better and not paid the additional amount, the crook connived, and got from me. In addition to getting robbed by her, the front crown that she replaced was not lined-up so perfect. There are too many honest good dentists around - so there is no reason to have her put her hands in your mouth and empty your pockets! read more

I visited Dentique before making an appointment for tooth cleaning and an exam. I have dental insurance with Humana with my Medicare Advantage plan. The office is new and clean and I made an appointment. The first thing they did when I arrived was to take lots of x-rays and photos of all my teeth. Then a person came in and was introduced as " Ms. Singh, the dentist." She examined my gums which she said were satisfactory but never physically examined my teeth. ( every dentist I have ever visited used a tool and scraped and pushed on suspect spots looking for decay soft spots ) She then proceeded to only look at the X-rays of my teeth ( I still have all my teeth except for 3 wisdom teeth that were removed 50 years ago ) and found some reason to recommend about $15,000.00 worth of work. When I said that I was not interested in that ( I will get a 2nd opinion as I believe her recommendation to be bogus ) they said that they would not do the cleaning my insurance covers but said I needed a more elaborate cleaning procedure that cost $160.00 extra. After that I excused myself and on the way out was asked to pay a $5.00 "toxic waste fee" that is specifically to be included with "procedures." I have been going to a dentist since I was 7 years old ( 70 years ) and have never had such a disappointing experience. This is not a normal dental office but just a money machine for the owner.
