Tooth I started to choke on.

The reason for the one star rating is because I can't give 0 stars. I've been wearing dentures since 1991 and still have my first set of dentures, but it was time for them to be replaced. The last place I had them made was a little hole-in-the-wall dental office. Those teeth are still intact today, over 30 years later. I went to Aspen Dental and had them fit me for new dentures which were done quicker than I'd expected. Although they need to be refit, I never expected my insurance paying that kind of money for them that they would start falling apart less than a year later. You can see by my attached photos that the tooth in question appears to have been glued in place. I was eating scrambled eggs and toast when the tooth fell out causing me to choke and I was able to get the tooth back up. I spit it out into a napkin and when I took a drink of my coffee, something felt strange, so I took my upper plate out and noticed there was a tooth missing. I immediately opened the napkin and found out I had started choking on my own tooth. I phoned Aspen Dental right away to ask about this and they told me I had a 1-year warranty which is up next month. I requested to have the plate repaired and they said they could do that, however, after further thought, if one tooth has fallen out in less than a year, how many more are waiting to fall out after my warranty expires. (Isn't that how things usually go?) They told me that I chose the teeth that I got and that they were nearly $2,500 and that I didn't get the high dollar set. At which time I told them about my 30+ year old set that I'd paid $100 for along with insurance. I figured with today's technology that the quality would have been better, after what they said to me, and having one tooth come out so easily, I'm now worried about the overall quality. So I told them that perhaps it would be better to start over since I am still under warranty and have the plated replaced, not repaired, as I'm concerned all the other teeth will start dropping out. They told me they would have to speak with the office manager and would get back to me as my warranty clock continues ticking away, tick tock, tick tock. I'll be sure to post an update as to the resolution once I hear back from them.

If you are looking for the best care, professionalism, and honest approach you want Texas Oral and Facial Surgery! Dr. Wiggins and staff are always very profession, informative, and. I highly recommend them to my family, friends and colleagues! My case has been very extensive (it has not been an easy journey), but Dr. Wiggins and his professional team provided the best care prior to, during and post surgeries. He takes time to explain everything that needs to be addressed and answers all my questions (which can be many) as well as ensuring the right level of expectations. He strives to ensure that my expectations are met based on my case. He never over promises, yet my results have been more than I could have even hoped for! For all the help Dr. Wiggins has provided me, I want to mention the team in the background, the folks in billing. They work hard to validate and ensure my insurance provides coverage and what my portion of the cost will be as well. The insurance part is so difficult to manage, and I am grateful for all they do to help process this on my behalf. With that even if insurance was not available to me they ALWAYS tell me upfront what my cost will be and I have not once received a surprise bill. Thank you for all that you have done for me! I am grateful to Dr. Wiggins and the entire team!

Went to my general dentist on Tuesday (11/28/23 at 12pm) who confirmed everything I thought and they referred me to this office (per my dentist I needed a emergent tooth extraction done). I called this office same day around 2:30pm or so, and long story short I was booked for a emergent tooth extraction 2 days later on Thursday. Pre-oral surgery: Now I am hella nervous (I'm typically with doctor's appointments but dentist's appointments I'm freaking out. Something about any type of metal tool item in my mouth that does it for me). Anywho, I was instructions of what to do via text message (I.e no eating/drinking 8 hours before the timeframe and to bring along another driver over the age of 18) and all instructions followed to a "T". During: On, Thursday 11/30/23; I arrived for my appointment at 10:30am for 11:00am appointment to be on the safe side. Insurance was verified and paperwork signed. Dr. Michael went over everything in about 10 minutes, and the doctor explained it would be localized rather than general anesthesia. I said okay, and I was in the surgery room for like 30 minutes; localized anesthesia given, expected cracking of the tooth occurred, doctored irrigated the area to cleansed the wound of infection, viola the area was sutured and I was done (all under an 1 hour. Honestly fastest and pain free appointment ever. I was shocked). After: the pain is minimal and just taking the doctor's orders if alternating between Tynelol and Ibuprofen. P.S. the customer service was awesome. I can really tell the staff and the doctor cares. Doctor actually checked up on me, the day after and I was like so surprised (what doctor does that, besides a PCP perhaps??? This doctor has very good bedside manner). They gained a client like forever, but I did tell them that hopefully I won't need their tooth extracting services anytime soon cause I like my natural teeth. I will however be back for a dental implant. Verdict: 5/5 stars. I honestly have no complaints. Coke here, if you need a very good oral surgeon.

But she took my call and had me laughing in no time, which really helped because I was in so much pain. A little backstory, my braces were removed in 2021. A year later, my permanent retainer was moving my teeth. My orthodontist took full blame and put braces on the bottom of my teeth to correct them. The process was finished in April. Well, the left side of my head and face became very painful. The orthodontist said the retainer mold was wrong and replaced that... Fast forward, I moved to Texas, and now I'm at the doctor's because my face is swollen, and on to the Berkeley Eye Center. I'll spare you the rest. So now, I have the kindest woman named Sherri on the phone, who I consider a friend now. She told me to come on in, she'll send the paperwork through email, and she'll see me at two. She didn't stop there; once I got there and finished the exam, I thought I had to come back for them to put the proper braces on. Nope, Sherri said we can do the braces today, and they did! No more pain for me. Thank you, thank you so much, Sherri!

He removed a well-placed cap and bridge--work that had been done properly by a previous dentist--in order to treat a cavity in a nearby tooth. According to a new dentist I saw in Elbridge, this was completely unnecessary and should never have been done. To make matters worse, the fillings he used were of poor quality, leaving me with discomfort and embarrassment, including bad breath. I struggled for a long time to find someone willing to correct the work he did. It wasn't until I found a compassionate and ethical dentist in Elbridge that I fully understood the extent of the damage and poor decision-making that occurred. There are dentists who respect their patients and practice with integrity--and sadly, there are those who don't. Dental care is not just technical work; it involves trust, ethics, and responsibility. I hope this review helps others make an informed decision. No one should go through what I went through. They must understand if someone is going to their practice because they trust them and messing them up ruthlessly is a bad karma no matter which race the patient.
