I had a broken tooth that was giving me severe mouth pain and headaches. I called on Friday afternoon .I was able to get scheduled to be seen for Saturday morning .I went and saw the dentist. he was able to do the tooth extraction the same day and I was much better I had so much relief afterwards. I have extreme dental anxiety and they walked me through the procedure. they listened to me ;they helped me with the anxiety;and they were extremely attentive . I highly recommend them. They were wonderful. Also, they were affordable. I have found a dentist that I will continue to use going forward!! read more

The company was apparently offering a $29 new patient initial visit special. My son who is 18 needed to be seen on an urgent basis but the location closest to our house didn't have any availability for two weeks so we were referred to Dundalk location. However, even though the Whitemarsh location would, this location refused to honor the $29 special as it only applies to patients over 21. 18 is not a pediatric patient so he can't be seen there but they won't honor a special for adults because he's 18? So they wanted $276 to be seen because he is 18! Such bad Customer Service on the part of this location!! read more

I visited Aspen Dental on July 13,2023. I had a first time visit in order to have my dental health cleared for an upcoming surgery. They did an initial exam and X-rays. I was informed that I needed a root canal. I scheduled the root canal for 8/24/23 and paid my out of pocket cost. One day prior to my appointment, I was contacted and told me that they did not have a doctor to perform the procedure. After waiting over a month, only to be notified a day before the procedure is total negligence. They attempted to offer a reschedule at a different office a week later, I declined. I contacted that office directly and was told that I was unable to have the procedure performed there either, due to no doctor. I am glad I did not rely on them to schedule me. I would be out another week of time. I tried getting my records and x-rays to go somewhere else, but was unable to receive these records expediently. Apparently they have to get them from their main office, even though I was seen at the office that I was attempting to get the info from. I am so upset over this experience and the desk help and supposed manager could not understand why I was so upset! I should not have my insurance company charged for the initial visit, because now I have to start over somewhere else. I hope that I can find someone to do my procedure in a hurry so my surgery will not be postponed. I am in a lot of pain and really need this surgery to alleviate this pain. 1 star for the modern equipment, that's it. I went in for a review for the Motto, I explained to the dental tech what I wanted to do and she gave me a price break down. The dentist came in, spoke with me and sent me to the front to schedule a follow up visit. I thought everything was going well so I opted to pay for 50% of my procedure so I can lock in a date to come back. Before I swiped, something told me to verify everything was on the up and up because I had a feeling what I explained to the dental assistant was not relayed to the dentist. I asked, "what happens if I'm not happy with the results?" The woman up front said its guaranteed. I asked "Its guaranteed to who's standard? Because I explained to the dental assistant, I want my gaps closed and I want to make sure it will be to my satisfaction." She said oh, "Motto doesn't close gaps"... what? lol "'It only straightens teeth... so your teeth would be straightened"... I don't have crooked teeth. This showed me that they were pretty much just trying to push Motto without being on the same page with their patients. As I am inquiring, the front desk lady speaks with the dentist and the dentist says "Oh yes, we have to send in her pictures to verify that she is eligible." Did I mention I was already at the front desk with my card out? Had I not asked those questions they would've charged me, if I'm not mistaken, about $800, without fully knowing if I was eligible. The dentist never expressed any concern as she was directing me to the charging person. So, the front desk lady said we will wait on charging anything until I get my results back concerning eligibility (duh). I was told I would be called back THAT to take additional photos because the machine was not working. No call. 2 days later, I called but the only assistant who could do the photos was out. I called back once a week for 3 WEEKS and even spoke to a manager who knew me by name lol. I have yet to hear from Aspen. I stopped calling because I no longer want to work with them. I'd like to add that was about 4 weeks ago and they have YET to call me with any updates. It's a beautiful location but you will have to be on them 100% of the time and make sure you ask the appropriate questions because no one is comminating with each other there. read more

I was told by one lady on the phone they accept my insurance. She even said will probably have to pay notting for X-rays because of my insurance. I told her I can have X-rays sent over I took with my dentist a fews days ago . She said we take different X-rays . Did not understand that part. I arrive for my appointment and the front desk lady said fill out these medical forms so we can get started. I ask can u confirm if u accept my insurance first? . She try calling the numbers on the card and she said we can't fine ur insurance even tho the girl on the phone confirmed with me that they accept my insurance. However the girl at the front desk try her best to help me . She was very kind and professional. I may have given her a little attitude because I was in pain but she really was a beautiful soul. Went into the office today with a friend for a denture consultation, appt was for 10:30 and we were not called back until 11:30. Despite giving all the information on the phone, the appointment was booked incorrectly and we never even seen a physician. Sat down with an employee who seemed annoyed I had questions. She was showing us the different types of dentures they had on a computer screen, which is not the same as seeing them in person. I just wanted to see a physical denture to touch and see the features in person. They did not have this option, everything was on the screen. Which you can view from your computer at home. The amounts stated on the computer doesn't include all the fees, which is fine but she is in such a rush that she kept interrupting and talking over me when I wanted details on the charges. This is about them making a sale, they don't care about your questions or concerns. If you actually want to explore options and get questions answered, go somewhere else. Had a piece of my tooth that broke off, they took me right in on the day we called. Monday Oct. 12, 2020. We did have a new appointment on Thursday Oct. 15, 2020. When I told the dentist that I wanted it pulled, he got real upset and told me that he won't pull it and that I need to see an oral surgeon. I got upset because I wanted it pulled and couldn't get it done that day because he didn't want to pull it. He walked out of the room. The hygienist went and told him that I was very upset. He came in and said "If you really want it pulled, I will. Is that what it takes??? Make a grown women cry because you didn't agree with her, Forgot that. We cancelled our new appointment with what we thought would be our new dentist. They also left the door open during the procedure and let everyone see me crying. Shame on you. My father has had a horrible experience with this dental facility. He is 79 years old and wears dentures. He has paid over $5000 for them and has had to return to Aspen numerous times and still is not satisfied with the dentures or the service he received from them. Now he is getting bills for services that should have been included in the contract price he paid. He still has trouble eating and even keeping the dentures secured in his mouth. No one at the facility can seem to fix them and since they have received payment for them, he is not a priority. I would suggest if you use Aspen dental you do your due diligence and expect a bad experience. read more

The only one that was friendly was the person checking me out. The X-ray tech was not friendly, I had asked her a question or two and totally didn't respond. Did I mention she had an ear piece in her ear attending to people at the front desk. I'm sorry if you have a patient in front of you , you need to attend to the patient, not the front desk. I started going to Aspen on Merritt Blvd. in the beginning of 2023 for a broken tooth. I just wanted to get dentures. They did x-rays and an exam, and came up with other things I needed done. So I agreed to try to save what I had and get some fillings. I work, so I had to come after work or on Saturday. The one Saturday appointment I did have was cancelled as with most of my after work appointments. They'd call me the day before and say "We're gonna have to reschedule". One time I walked into the office and they told me they didn't have any power and to just sign the clipboard with my name and phone number so they could call me when the power came back on. I'm still waiting for that call. When I did see a dentist ( I don't remember her name) she acted like she had no clue what was going on. Had to keep going to get stuff because she wasn't prepared. I had to hold instruments for her because there was no assistant. I wish I would have known about this before I went. 10 Months later I still have the broken tooth and it gives me a fit. Changed insurance with a new job but have no desire to go back to that office, even though they're in Network. They even made me buy an electric toothbrush (I already have one) they said there's is better. The only good thing was that the Dentist would give me so much novocaine I'd be numb for hours. They cannot keep a schedule, speak in jargon and are dismissive of your concerns even during a new patient visit. This place was just the worst my wife and I came in for a cleaning never cleaned my teeth kept pushing on our teeth and literally did nothing!!! Told me I have gingivitis and my tongue ring was pushing my gum down even tho my ring doesn't even sit there never called us back about anything. we went there for them to do xrays and for them to poke for nothing! There is nothing Aspen can say to change my mind about what a rip off they are. They are a corporate conglomerate that only wants to put patients on an assembly line and charge for things the patient doesn't need. My dentist told me to run from them. They get you to come in with a free exam and then give you a laundry list of issues which they are all to happy to address at astronomical prices. I will never go to Aspen dental again! Terrible service and customer care! They are not in business to help patients!!! Yesterday I called Aspen dental and was told I would be seen for an emergency since I need a filling. I was scheduled at a location 30 minutes further away from my initial location because they had an opening. I took off work for the dentist appointment only to be told when I got to Aspen that it was not for a procedure but for an exam and no work would be performed. It was explained to me that it was the call center's fault and Aspen did not make it right. I lost out of a day at work, I lost an hour of driving time. I went in to Aspen Dental stating that I only wanted a replacement for my upper denture. The staff immediately took me for x-rays and all of this other nonsense. When I questioned why they were doing all this the excuse was it was 'included' and I wouldn't have to pay for it. The doctor that examined me insisted I get full dentures. When I expressed that I was NOT interested the attitude started. All in all it took more than 3 weeks and about 5 or 6 visits just to get my dentures! The only saving grace is that most of the staff is friendly. The doctor that I saw was NOT friendly. In fact he really didn't even want to talk with me after I refused to get full dentures instead of the upper replacement. I wish I had read the Yelp reviews first, since the reviews on their own website are either fake or they take down bad reviews. read more

Dentist doesn't look at the paperwork you fill out (medical history current medications) and only spent about 2 mins doing exam and barely speaks to you. If I could give it zero stars I would. It was nothing but a head ache dealing with this place and I will absolutely never go back. Had a tooth retreated twice for a root canal and was having problems with it after that. Had so many issues getting a refund and no one had a clue what was going on in the office. I can say the regional manager was very nice and did handle things for me and appreciated her helping me but I would honestly never recommend anyone to go here. The first visit they sat me off in a side room for an hour while the staff was hanging in the back and I ended up getting up and leaving. I should have read the reviews before going there. I was stunned and shocked at the lack of professionalism I witnesses at this office. Employees were laughing and cackling like they were at a bar, rather than professional dental center. I waited a lengthy period of time before the dentist saw me. He was fine, and he told me what he could do for me. I had previously been to an oral surgeon to receive an estimate, so I wanted to compare Aspen to his prices. Aspen was three times as much. They claimed that they did not take my insurance, but they said they did on the telephone when I made the appointment. They tried to lock me into a high interest contract for extensive dental work. If I could do ZERO stars I would. Went there for toothache. Front desk woman was incredibly rude. I had xrays done and was placed in a room where I sat for an HOUR. Eventually some awful "doctor" acted like she was doing me a favor by looking at my teeth then proceeded to tell me I had to get medical clearance before I could get a filling WTF. Never in my life have I been told such nonsense, I stood up and got my coat, I let her know I was pissed for having been made to wait an effing hour and she told me to watch my language. Yeah she really said that then I proceeded to tell her what she could do with herself before walking out the effing door. Dundalk Aspen is the most unprofessional, disorganized, careless dental facility I have EVER dealt with. They mistreat patients, disrespect them, NEGLECT THEM- My husband was left with an impression tray in his mouth for 45 MINUTES, screaming for help and was told by his tech "sorry, I got caught up in something else". That same tech is STILL employed there even though aspen is WELL aware of this issue happening. He told them last visit he didn't want that tech to touch his mouth ever again and the front desk woman responded "well if you want to be seen today, that's who is on the schedule". No offers to reschedule service when the tech was not there. Go figure, my husband gave the tech another chance and he completely destroyed his bottom denture to the point where it is unwearable now. Had a not so good experience everyone was friendly but I was there for 2 hours and only had x rays and my teeth looked at. When they showed me the break down the total cost would be almost $500 I did need to have filling but those were only about $30 each which is fine that's no problem paying for that. On August 4th, I was finally able to get an appointment for a broken tooth due to the pandemic. I went in and they did a root canal. I was told they would do a crown on that tooth, since it was near the front, and I had an appointment to get that started on that on August 27th. I was charged $444.00 that the insurance didn't cover. He ground the tooth down to put a temporary cap on it and measured me for the permanent crown. Over that weekend the temporary cap fell off and the tooth broke. I then called and left a message with Aspen to let them know. I was given an appointment to go in on September 1st. The dentist was going to have to do another "partial" root canal to get a root to build a tooth around, and they had to reorder another cap. I went in on September 4th, and he did the partial root canal, and built up the tooth for the permanent cap. On the 17th my permanent cap came in, and I went in to finally finish with this tooth. The permanent cap was too big to fit in between the two other teeth, so they had to reorder it again. I called today to find out what's going on, and was told the cap still hasn't come in. I told them that I had knee surgery coming up on October 10th, and I needed my paperwork filled out before then. I requested an appointment for the first week of October to get the cleaning required for the paperwork and was told they didn't have any open appointments for a cleaning in the morning that entire week. (My husband goes to work at 1pm, and we only have one car.) I'm now looking for another dentist to do the necessary work to get my surgery paperwork done, and once this cap comes in, I'll never step foot in Aspen Dental again. I've wasted over $400 on sloppy work. Temporary caps that didn't stay on, permanent caps that didn't fit, the tooth breaking, etc. Not to mention being in pain for days after I went in and had shots and drilling. I tried to file a written complaint with Aspen on their website, but bad reviews get sent to a non-working page. read more

Seemed to be very clean but employees were disorganized and confused. I signed up for a checkup and cleaning, however, they only had a checkup scheduled for me. They tried squeezing me in for a cleaning and did but they had double booked and the cleaning was less than 5 minutes and I felt like she didn't do an adequate job. read more

I have some huge issues with my teeth and made an emergency appointment here because I had been in extreme pain for 2 days and couldn't eat or sleep. The doctor, as well as everyone else I encountered there went above and beyond and did everything in their power to help me. I'm a bit of a misanthrope and normally wouldn't write a review for anyone but I was truly touched by the way the staff here went so far out of their way to help me. These people clearly aren't just in it for a paycheck and have a genuine desire to show the few good traits of humanity. Went to Aspen Dental today for a check-up and cleaning. I made the appointment online and had all of my paper work completed when I got there. I was there for about an hour and was then told that I could make an appointment for a cleaning. A cleaning is what I went for. They took a lot of x-rays and were pleasant but I will not be going back. I will now pay for my insurance for the next twelve months waiting until I can see a dentist that will actually clean my teeth. Disgusted! read more

I made an appointment here because it was listed on my insurance company's preferred provider list and they have great hours. The waiting area is quite nice. I was taken back for X-rays and saw the dentist. Everything looked good he said. Next I saw the hygienist, London. This is where things went downhill. She looked around and saw an issue when I closed my mouth. I told her why I have that issue. She instantly said NO that's not why. I guess my 3 neurologists are all wrong then. I didn't argue any further because she obviously was oblivious. She said I'd have to talk to the office manager about an appointment and paying for a cleaning. I thought this a bit odd as my insurance covers cleanings at 100%. Well Aspen dental wants $507 to do a cleaning. When I met with the office manager she had a list all printed out with $1300 in services and said "How would you like to take care of this today ". I felt like I was in a used car lot. I pressed a bit further to see what on Earth they were trying to charge me for, and I eventually got an itemized list. They want $507 for a cleaning. What they didn't tell me in the beginning is that included is a bunch of extras. They included a $139 charge for a tooth brush!! They added $44 for a numbing paste.
