At present it is a 2nd home in the near future our home. We had a local plumber who is small, I called him but he couldn't help me as he was busy, he gave me another person, and when I called them they were rude as all get out and said he didn't deal with emergencies.. I called The Gentleman Plumber and spoke to, I hope I remember properly Sara. She was amazing. She had said somebody else had the same issue and it was probably a running toilet.... I asked for an emergency call but Sara couldn't promise they could get there that day however they did. They came to the house, and toilet was in fact running and they repaired it. we don't live there now but in the near future we are retiring in that house. I can't thank Sara and all who fixed something we were so worried about... She and they were tremendous! So if you are looking for a plumber and while the one we have is great, I will endorse them, I would use them, and I would rely on them in the future. Today professionalism and care mean a lot. I would encourage anybody who needs plumbing service to have them in your pocket........ They are and especially Sara should be a go to Mike and Loris McCoy Hamilton VA Soon to be from Kill Devil Hills

I'm a licensed female GC working on my own investment house, and I hired Mr. Groovy (Joe) for a…read morefull rough-in. Joe is one of the best plumbers I have ever worked with. He takes everything into consideration: anticipated drywall and cement board, subfloor leveling, fixture locations. If something isn't perfect, he'll work until it is- for his own satisfaction. He is a plumbing wizard, and a good guy to have on a job site. His competent wife handles things behind the scenes, and it's rare to have such frequent, friendly, and value-added communication. When I brought up the sales tax exemption for capital improvements (which is something few people know about), Kelly took it upon herself to call friends and the actual government to clarify the requirements and establish the proper paperwork. With other bids, I stated I would be providing the fixtures, but other bids came in offering their preferred fixtures plus sales tax. You'd think a one-man operation would slow things down, but what I experienced was a plumber who managed every aspect with a critical eye, versus relying on less experienced subs rushing through a job. I still don't know how he managed to perfectly set a 66" bathtub and a 90 lb slate shower base by himself, but Joe is a gentle giant who knows it all when it comes to plumbing. He works independently, and offered suggestions and tips I hadn't considered. He also listens to cool music and carried some heavy things for me after I twisted an ankle without blinking an eye (I'm not proud). Although plumbing isn't the sexiest job out there, once you see how much work he puts in, you'll understand that you're receiving platinum service for what is very reasonable pricing. I received nearly a dozen proposals for a comprehensive and annoying job, and Joe's was the one that included all the details of the work involved, while others focused on upselling fixtures and completely neglecting components of the job. As long as he'll work with me, I won't hire another plumber in OBX.

He treated the windows as if doing his own home; looking at the individual glass from various angles, both inside and outside of the house, making sure he saw no streaks or missed areas. We were also pleased that he meticulously wiped out all the dirt & pollen accrued on the sills over the last year. The house looked nice before the event, and it looks even better now and was reconstructed with consideration to FEMA guidelines should flooding reoccur. Corolla had 31 inches of rain from three major rain events in September and October 2016. We had a few inches of water on the first level after the second major rain event. I called BR, and they promptly were in the house to assess the damage. They rapidly did the deconstruction after the water receded and started drying the exterior walls. The wood was also treated with a biocide to retard microbial growth. My wife and I were at the house for Hurricane Matthew, and we had additional water intrusion to a level higher than the first event. BR promptly did a second drying. The first level was reconstructed with consideration given to materials and recommendations found in FEMA guidelines for homes that may be in a flood hazard area. Our house is X zone and not in a flood hazard, but 31 inches of rain saturated the ground and the runoff from subtle terrain elevation changes flooded several homes where we are. The house looks great and is better constructed to handle future events. This is always a very stressful situation for any homeowner. Bluewater Restoration made the process less stressful through their courtesy and professionalism. We are very pleased with the process and results. BR personnel are great to work with, and we highly recommend Bluewater Restoration. [Edit: I have no idea why Yelp posted my location as San Francisco. My wife and I are in MA.]
