I am already…read moreuncomfortable taking my toddlers to ANY store to shop and the employee made me feel worse by making an assumption I am switching shoe boxes or taking shoes when I am going to purchase the shoes that my toddlers are REFUSING to take off (I was actively holding the correct boxes for purchase and clearly told the employee that as well when she approached me). Customer service is supposed to have a little bit of empathy to a certain extent depending on the situation. Just because my toddlers are loud and running around does not give a worker the right to have a negative judgement on what kind of shopper I am. I've been in retail for 7 years and on going, I would never make a PARENT or anyone who is obviously having a difficult time feel the way I did throughout this experience. I understand each shoe has to be checked when purchased but there is a much nicer way to ask instead of asking in a forceful manner with sarcasm/attitude especially during the situation I was having.

Nowhere on any of the signs did it say clearance shoes were not included. When I got to the register the salesperson very rudely stated that the clearance shoe could not be used for the bogo. They wasted my time in searching for shoes and lost my business. Why not put any exemptions on the sign so people know up front. Won't be returning, too many other places I can shop.

Similar to the Glenview location it carries that same old school ambience which is really quite nice. They also sometimes have a live piano player as does Glenview, which is really fantastic and create a great feeling to add to that welcome Homie sense that they build. Similar to the Glenview location I will say again really great selection. They carry great brands however because I feel like it is slightly larger they carry even more product and therefore more options. Love coming here as usual parking is pretty easy inconvenient for Yorktown and so glad that old-school type department stores still exist somewhere here in the Illinois area.
