After not being able to find a place that was open besides a fast food place I came across this little gem. I ordered H6 The Lemongrass Shrimp which also included mushrooms, broccoli and a sauce that was to die for. This was my first visit here but it won't be my last. Been coming here since I moved to Vicksburg. The employees are very friendly and the food is by far the best in town!

Very good tom yum Soup, spicy chicken in garlic sauce and pen fried rice. The cheese wontons were also very good. The soup was delicious! The photos and the building look kind of sketchy, but the food and service is amazing. The little girl was so polite while her mom or grandma worked. My first time. I will return. read more

Straightforward, quick, tidy and friendly service - exactly what we were looking for after a long day of travel. My mum is a big fan of straightforward takeout chinese and she gave this place two-thumbs up. Not too salty/MSGy and a solid array of options. If I wasn't in the middle of a cross country road trip and living out of hotels I would have been curious to chat with the staff more and explore some of the more interesting corners of the menu. Out of the many Chinese restaurants I've been to this is on the lower end of the spectrum. The General Tso chicken was ok, but not as flavorful and/or spicy as should be. The chicken fried rice was subpar. It had no flavor at all and just slits of chicken pieces. I seen it had great reviews and since I was staying at a hotel next door I needed something to eat for dinner as I was just passing through. Some people might blame it on a small city(22,000), but I have been to a Chinese restaurant in a town of 2,400(Fairfax Sc), and their food was 10 stars compared to this place. Reason for giving them at least 3 stars is because of customer service. As far as the food goes, it's 1-2 stars being nice. read more

Best Asian food in Vicksburg, MS. My fav is the Mongolian Chicken -I've had it cook many times in many different restaurants but here -it is the best. The dinning room area is not fancy -and the tables need to be cleaned after every customer leaves -and the visible floor area should be swept of all papers and debris -no excuses! BLUF: Standard Chinese. There are a million places exactly like this all over the country. That is not an insult. It is good. You will get good food exactly how you know it can be. You will not have your socks blown off though. Work was paying so I got too much...spring rolls, pork lo mein, spare ribs, french fries. Spring roll was fine. spare ribs were good and even the small portion is huge. I have no idea why I got french fries at a chinese restaurant...oh yeah...work was paying so why not. they were pretty good but needed salt. (chinese place needing sodium????? queue the twilight zone music) the pork lo mein was very good and still comes with fried rice which was a nice touch. fried rice wasnt that great but the lo mein was really good. Good tasty. Flavor good but portion size for soup seemed a bit undersized. Wonton soup large size was about same size as regular size/ small size in most other restaurants. Would come back again but not for soups. read more

Coconut shrimp was not made correctly. I'm visiting Vicksburg from Alabama and I thought I could get a taste of home while here. I was very disappointed, Bei Jing in Alabama makes the best coconut shrimp and I'll stick to them from now on. read more

Friendly service but mediocre food. I had the thai casserole which was a bad choice on my part. I like all of the ingredients but not all mixed together. My husband had the cashew nut chicken and he said it was okay. The egg rolls are tasty. This place was amazing. I honestly didn't expect much, because it just looks like another modest Chinese place. However, I was quickly surprised at the authenticity and quality of the food. It was very fresh, and it obviously wasn't just out of the freezer, or out from several hours under a heat lamp. I got a small order of egg drop soup, and a small order of pork lo mein. I was jaded by authentic Chinese restaurants after moving to Vicksburg from Rockville, MD and had to pick between four restaurants in town to get my Chinese fix. I have never been disappointed in my three long years spent in Vicksburg ordering from Asian Kitchen. The staff is very friendly and ensure their customers are staisfied. When I asked for a dish that was not on their menu, the chef happily made me a special order of something that was authentic and not Americanized without an issue. We're vacationing from CA and honestly did not have very high expectations for chinese food in Vicksburg. We were pleasantly surprised! We ordered the Lemongrass Shrimp, Garlic Shrimp, Mongolian Beef, Chicken Lo Mein, and BBQ Pork. The food was all very good, nice portions and reasonably priced. All the shrimps were big and plump. The small BBQ Pork was actually plenty. We had too much food left over for 3 adults and two children. Service was prompt but there was no one else in front of us. We ordered for takeout. From January to July of 2015, I was spending 90% of my time in Vicksburg due to work requirements. Living in a hotel room with no access to kitchen, I was a frequent visitor of Asian Kitchen. Overall I really enjoyed my visits to the restaurant. The lady shopkeeper and the staff were always friendly and helpful. The selection of the food was more than adequate for me, and the price was also very reasonable. It was a small, cozy place, and the staff kept things tidy and clean. I could not recall a case bad experience when I visited. These days I do not go to Vicksburg as often, but I still make sure to stop by when I am there. After having eaten in a number of restaurants in the Vicksburg area, I can wholeheartedly recommend this place. read more

I travel to Vicksburg for work regularly. There's only so much southern food this girl from NYC can eat. This place was very close to my hotel.
