I visited during lunchtime for the AYCE and it wasn't bad at all. I tend to lower my expectations…read morewhen it comes to AYCE and revolving sushi, but 25 Sushi House does it well. The selection is a bit more limited for lunch, but the price is lower than dinner as well. Being AYCE, I wouldn't expect the highest quality, type, and cut of fish, but what they had was pretty solid, tasted fresh, and was delicious. A minor complaint would be they had no sashimi option, even for the tamago which I personally believe is eaten best without rice, but that's just minor stuff considering the good value here. As much as I try to find a reason not to give this place an outstanding rating, if I compare it to the AYCE category of restaurants, it did everything right. They do have a regular a la carte menu, with a selection that looks like a treat in itself. As for me, I highly enjoyed their jalapeno bomb to start. I highly doubt they used snow crab, tasted like imitation crab, but I enjoyed it nevertheless and got another order at the end. I tried a few nigiri while I was here, with eel being my favorite (and thank goodness for no bones, which was lucky because it's eel). Their tacos were an unexpected standout and is worth a bite or two. Using sheets of nori and frying it to it holds up like a shell is pretty genius and more places need to do this. I had a good time with their Burning Alaska signature maki, which has salmon as the main star. The smokiness from torching was a killer! Their curry reminded me of S&B, which might very well be the mix they used. I was a bit disappointed to not see fish katsu as an option considered it's a sushi place, but I can see the katsu curry selection being a good option as a comfort dish. I wish I had the stomach space to try out new stuff, but maybe next time. Wish someone would post a photo of the salmon skin salad, because I'm a bit curious about that!

We genuinely wanted to support them. Unfortunately we could not bring ourselves to continue supporting business where the owner does not have business ethics, or perhaps human decency? (Turn out we are not the first with such unpleasantly disappointing treatment from the owner, and I am sure we will not be the last. If the owner decides to continue being rude and unprofessional to customers as well as treating customers like he is a social justice warrior all righteous and almighty, well good luck) Only if we knew sooner, by reading others' similar experiences/reviews as well as the owner responses to them with such rudeness and sarcasm, we could have prevented it from happening to us LOL

I'm proud that they have servers of this caliber at Asian restaurants in Houston, TX. Usually you see professional servers at upscale restaurants. There was a busboy there towards the end, and even he was super professional. Whoever the manager is at this location, you guys are doing an outstanding job training the staff here. Keep up the good work! 2. Price - about $15/bowl. 3. Ambiance - The decor here is beautiful. There are natural lighting from the front, with wood panels everywhere, lanterns hung high. They did a nice job decorating the place and you definitely feel as if you're in Japan somewhere. 4. Food - This is where this place shines compare to all the ramen places in Houston. They have the option of low sodium broth. I took one sip, and it felt like home cooked Ramen. I'm not talking about instant ramen that you buy from the store, but the ramen made from scratch. I often go to ramen places in Houston and I dread going because I know how salty they taste. There are 2 other locations I have in mind in Houston that are also my favorites. But I would say this is not bad compared to the bowl of ramen I had in Narita, Japan. If you're wondering what I've ordered, it was the CHICKEN RICH RAMEN and make sure to request for low sodium. 5. Cleanliness - Dining area is well kept, clean, and the busboy is on top of things. The restroom is questionable. The personal restroom doors are hard to close and lock. For management, have a look at the restrooms and see if you can improve things. SUMMARY: I would definitely come back. It is just THAT GOOD!

I wish I ordered this first but I was soooo full, I was struggling at this point. Not pictured, Kisu sushi: It had a strong taste and a slight rubber skin texture. It was nice to try it but I don't need to again. Not pictured, ray fin jerky: Someone ordered this and was meh bout it. it was sweet. I think I was the only one who liked it. I would highly recommend the following; mushroom miso rice, eggplant miso cheese, salmon belly, tai sushi. These are must haves. Ray fin jerky is a maybe if you like sweet jerky or not, this dish was a hit or miss at the table. Our waitresses were amazing and very sweet. One seems to be fairly new but I think she will do well with more experiences as she gets the hang of handling large parties. Our table was stable, but because of the angle from the windows, the light kind of blinded one of our friends in the face. I would recommend stronger blinds for the front. I really liked the decorations. They were all sea shaped based, like a few of the lights were "waves". I thought they were cute. Amazing place, I'm excited to come back again to try their other dishes like barracuda and aji fry! Also, free parking out front!

There was no wait and we were seated promptly. We were given 4 different menus to order from! So many choices-but it is possible some items were listed on multiple menus. It was a bit overwhelming. The tools I chose were delicious and my husband liked his Poke Bowl. The service was ok-there was this round plastic button thing on the wall and they told us to press it to order-we did-but we weren't sure if it worked and no one came right over. In the end though-service was fast, our drinks never ran out, food was great, and it was inexpensive.
