I enjoyed the food at this restaurant very much. I ordered chicken pad see ew and crab fried rice the very 1st there. It was great. The 2nd time I went I ordered a supreme combination pizza, and it was ok. The owner's have great customer service skills but the servers could be a little more friendly and courteous. I wasn't greeted either time I walked in but I did notice how they greeted everyone else that walked in as I patiently waited for my order. Maybe since this is a small town and they know everybody and because I am not from here. That's what I think, at least. I will continue going to this place when I'm in town but for takeout only. read more

This place is Awesome! I love that they give you the choice of how spicy you want your food and the noodles are to die for!! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone it is worth the drive i drove 2 hours just to try this place! The people are friendly and i love that the owner was walking around making sure everyone was doing okay and asking if anyone needed anything. read more

Good restaurant! I really like the chicken chow mein! The location is too small and needs to expand but on the flip side pretty good food!

Food is great. Best Thai food around! Only reason I give 4 stars is the service. There should be a sign outside bring your own drinks, because that's the only way you'll get a refill. Food is top notch, but I can't get past the amateur at best food servers. I'll designate this place as take out only. Judging by the number of people having their orders to go, the last time I was there, they probably come to the same conclusion. I'll say it again though the food is awesome! read more

Asian Experience is my favorite Thai Restaurant. Dennis and Nikki are amazing and their staff and food is second to none. For excellent cuisine and family atmosphere, Asian Experience is the place to go! read more

After just getting full on some great Asian Experience chicken chow mein, eggrolls, and spicy chicken soup, I decided I should write a quick article. After all, my family and I eat here weekly. The owners of this place are down right great people. Niki is the owner, she is a naturalized citizen from Thailand. Dennis, her husband, was born and raised in Taft, and growing up learned how to make pizza, which has wonderfully made its way on the menu. People have commented about the pizza, all which have been great reviews. Pizza is only served at night (4-9 PM). The restaurant came with a pizza oven, so that quickly became a nice marriage of authentic Thai food, and gourmet pizza, home made dough with the freshest (never frozen) ingredients. This also makes a great venue for kids and adults who haven't tried Thai food, yet. Once they do, they'll have a tough time deciding which to order. Taft and many people from all over the world have become dependent on Asian Experience (AE) for it's great food, atmosphere, and small town family character. If you want to keep up with AE news, there is a FB page, just search for Asian Experience Fan Club. Stop by anytime (except Sunday) and enjoy some of the best food you'll ever have..and I guarantee, as the other folks have posted, you'll be coming back for more. read more

Asian Experience - Pepperoni, mushroom, green bell peppers and onions on hand made sourdough crust - our favorite at Asian Experience - Thai Near Me - Taft, California

I love the food here. It's so good it makes my brow sweat. I have yet to have anything there that I didn't like. 5 stars

It's ok food the last we order food it wasn't all that great and a little expensive for what I got the service was ok but wasn't impressed maybe next time read more

This place is hands down one of the best places to go to if you want Asian food or any food for the matter. Portions are huge and the foods quality is so good. It's one of the best restaurants in Taft. read more

Not much to add to other reviews except to confirm that this really is much-better-than-average Thai food. I would eat here gladly if it was located in Berkeley. In a place like Taft, it is almost a miracle. Had a green curry. Not the curry-paste-out-of-a-jar taste you get in a lot of places. Rich, nice balance of coconut milk, and actually spicy when you order spicy. Also some good non-Bud beers on tap and a broader selection of micro-brew bottles. If you find yourself stuck in Taft (as I did) this is definitely your best option. read more

This place is awesome, tried it out for lunch after we saw it on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives. Is totally worth the drive from Bakersfield...great place! read more

My boyfriend had the curry chicken which tastes like peanut sauce chicken and I had the pad thai which was ok. The service was terrible the dining room was 1000 degrees hot (it felt like that) and again the service was terrible. It took a long time to get our order and there was no toilet paper in the restroom. I told them about it and was ignored. Will never come here again read more

Best place to eat in town. Even if i'm not a Thai enthusiast, i enjoy their chicken friend rice and their bbq pizza is boomb !

I love the food and the employee's here. They also deliver which is a major plus The only reason I didn't give it a full 5 star is that I feel that the pricing is just a tad too much. read more

Worst service I've had in years. There were 4 of us for dinner. We ordered a small pizza to share for an appetizer and our entrees. More than 30 minutes, and having to refill our own drinks, my friends entrees came out. We asked the server about our pizza and she told me that she doesn't deal with the pizzas. 5 or 10 minutes later the pizza showed up followed immediately by my girlfriend and I's entrees, with no apology about the mix up. There wasn't even room on the table for everything. I just asked to just have our entrees boxed up because I was done. After my friends finished eating, and chasing people for refills and more to go boxes, the waitress dropped the check and disappeared. We finally took the check to anyone who would take it so we could get out of there. I had heard great things about this place and my friends had been very excited to take me there. The food might be great, I never even tried it, but the service is abysmal. One star is too many. I hope they can fix it because I'd love to see a restaurant in my home town be great. read more

Tried this once before and thought it was ok and worth trying again if in the area. We got drunken noodles, Thai tea, and egg rolls that time. All ok. This time got the Asian experience app sampler. It was not great. Most of it was fried too crispy and the tempura was really thick. However the coconut shrimp were pretty good. I also had the curry fried rice with shrimp medium spicy and it was Awesome! I just didn't like the little canned baby baby corns in it (I dislike those in general). read more

Great food cool atmosphere if you're lucky enough to get that Kristin chick as your waitress service will be beyond excellent

Great food, great staff. The owner knows everyone and is a great guy. If you ever go through Taft stop and eat here. Just remember if you love spicy food like I do... get the beef fried rice mild or you may find yourself going through napkins and water like crazy read more

When in those part of California and you've got the itch for Asian food.. it's the place you need to be! This awesome joint is really loading out one great dish after the next. This place specializes in Thai food as well as gourmet style pizza! Every meal can be custom to your taste, or just trust the chef and order from the menu. Most people whom visit claim that it's the best Thai around a 100 mile radius, and i must strongly agree! A smaller and narrow location, it's quite welcoming and it really adds to the wonderful ambience. It really is fun to try new items off the menu and for the Thai experts out there, you're favorites are all here. I highly suggest you try their Tom Yum Kung which is a spicy soup with shrimp, lemon grass, mushroom, lime juice and chili paste or famous Pad Thai! But, consider also the Pineapple Fried Rice, Egg Rolls, Lobster, Shrimp Ceviche, Rad Nar, Silver Noodle Stir Fried and be sure to wash it all down with some of their famous beers! read more

Delicious veggie stir fry - they even added some tofu & cashews at my request. Tasty Musman curry with spring rolls and yummy soup. Chef must be very talented. Pleasant family atmosphere. Very nice servers. Located in a very quiet part of town. (Came here on a Monday night after a delightful day on Carrizo Plain, viewing the spring wildflowers, Soda Lake, panoramic views). read more

Excellent food prepared fresh, have had many diffrent items and have never been disappointed

The BEST Thai food in the county. The Pizza is good as well. This is the best restaurant on the West Side

Drunken Noodles ($10.75) leaves much to be desired. The sauce is a little sweet, like a Pad See Ewe sauce. Not what I'd expect as drunken noodles is more garlic and jalapenos. In fact there were no jalepenos in it but spiced up anyway as requested. There were noodles, choice of protein, along with vegetables (onions, bell pepper, basil, carrots, baby corn) and garnished with green onion was served over a bed of iceberg lettuce. It just gets more odd. There weren't many noodles considering it is a noodle dish. In most other Thai restaurants noodles make up 50% of the entree. In this place the noodles made up 20-25%. Service was acceptable but was never asked how I liked the food. At 11:45 am on a Monday all the tables were filled so I sat at the "bar". This was my first visit to this restaurant and if I return I won't get drunken noodles. I haven't had drunken noodles this like this since my rural Michigan visit. I could understand that, but not in this area with no shortage of authentic cooks. As far as atmosphere, the restaurant is small, dark and aged. read more
