This place is so cute from the outside and a nice chill classy tiki vibe on the inside. We weren't…read moreable to make a reservation because of the popularity but there were cute large couches and chairs to chill at while you wait with a cocktail or mocktail. Even though they were busy the wait was not very long and the host was so nice and I wish I could remember his name. Our server was so nice and kind and made great recommendations. I had the mocktail Nohito and it was sooo cute and delicious! The others had cocktails and a bottle of coke (yes glass bottle)- cute right?! Now we had the Karange tofu and I need that recipe! The crispiest most flavorful tofu outside and nice and soft inside. Couldn't tell it wasn't chicken! We also had oysters. For dinner I had the Katsu Curry and it was on point! And the leftovers were just as delicious. My sister had the Tantanmen and it was sooo good!! I could drink that broth. They do give you options for rice instead of noodles and broth if you like options. We also shared the Glazed tofu and yall it will change your LIFE!!! Cute monkeys hanging out everywhere with beautiful string lights and a classy understated tiki vibe. Please go here if you haven't yet. You'll thank me later

The drinks, the ramen, the dessert...we love it all, and we love spending our money at a local business. For years now, the kitchen has substituted rice for ramen for me because I have gluten intolerance. I have always asked respectfully, explained why, and said thank you, every single time. Tonight my husband and I walked down to Strangebird for dinner, ordered drinks and dinner, and I had *just* said to my husband that Strangebird has come to feel like a second home. Then the server came out and told us that the chef has decided they will no longer permit any modifications, including those that meet dietary needs. We were out on the quiet patio surrounded by other customers, so on top of being totally blindsided, it was actually pretty embarrassing, too. Folks, let me tell you how much I wish I could just eat the ramen noodles like everybody else. So much food that I love (and in some cases spent years learning to make myself) went out the window forever when my body stopped being able to handle wheat. But at Strangebird, I could still go in and enjoy the depth of flavor in every other component of a bowl of ramen. And that meant the absolute world to me. I'm heartbroken.

Our waitress made the experience much better. She was wonderful at explaining the menu, patient with all our questions, and helped guide us since we hadn't visited before. Her clear descriptions helped to decide what we would like to eat and try for our first experience. A couple of notes for fellow diners: the "regular" spicy level is very spicy! I love heat and thought it was perfect, but if you're sensitive to spice you may want to ask for mild or none. The kimchi here is excellent (and available to purchase in small or medium containers). Their radish kimchi in particular is amazing--it's a must-try. Best of all, Sisters Korean is locally owned and operated. Highly recommend supporting them and enjoying a flavorful, authentic meal!

We also tried the tiramisu cake which was very delicious. The staff were incredibly welcoming and we came with 10 people for a birthday dinner/book club and had plenty of room. They weren't busy at all so it was a nice atmosphere for a Friday evening. I can see how this is a great spot for dinner or lunch.

We bro see the menu which is both displayed on boards behind the counter as well as in a paper option at the register. They have ample seating with the standard table and chairs as well as a fun space for photos and swinging chairs (think Insta photo). They have sushi, bowls, pho and a variety of other options as well as sharing space with a cake bakery. I'm not sure how that all fits in but as we were there for lunch we didn't try the sweet treats this time. I ordered a veggie bowl which had a variety of sauces, but was able to make it vegan which is always appreciated. They don't have any vegan pho or ma y other vegan options, but this is a good spot for a quick rice bowl meal if you are out and about. My friend got the Pho which she said was amazing and definitely worth returning to get again. I do wish someone would come up with a vegan based Pho as they are delicious! Overall the flavors were good and satisfying and the service was wonderful for such a casual spot. I would go back if I needed a quick meal and was in the mood for a rice bowl. I do think they should put on a few more veggies as it was mainly rice in my bowl, but the rice was delicious and with enough sauce it felt more of a meal. Definitely worth a try!

This is a new little restaurant right off of County Line and Emerson. It is part of a small strip…read moremall and shares free parking with the other businesses in the mall. The place has a small dining area with a television and music playing throughout. They serve teriyaki-covered proteins in a bowl of either rice or noodles. The proteins include salmon, steak, and chicken. They also have desserts and sides, such as egg rolls. I ordered the steak teriyaki with noodles and an egg roll. It took me about 12 minutes to get my food. It was fresh and hot. It was pretty good. If you do not have enough teriyaki on your food, there is a bottle on each table you can use to add more. The staff there was ok. My interaction with them was limited, but they just did their job. The restaurant itself was very clean, and they do offer catering for those in need of meals for a special event/occasion. I liked my meal and am glad that I was able to stop by. I look forward to coming here again.

I went to…read moreTeriyaki Madness (they've got locations on the south side in Greenwood and also in the Castleton area), I believe they are also expanding to more locations and from the moment I walked in, everything about the experience was top-tier. First off, I got the spicy teriyaki chicken bowl (regular size), and I'm not exaggerating when I say it was packed with flavor. The portion size was more than fair for the price around $10.99 for the combo and it genuinely felt like you're getting your money's worth. The chicken was cooked perfectly, the sauce had just the right kick, and everything was fresh. I also grabbed an egg roll on the side (not included in the combo), and it was 100% worth it great size, crispy, and just done right. Now I'll be honest, I usually don't go for yakisoba noodles, but the co-owner, Brandy, insisted I try them. She had my girlfriend get rice so we could swap and compare, and I'm glad we did because both were seriously amazing. I'd go back for either one without hesitation. But what really made this experience stand out wasn't just the food it was the service. Brandy is hands down one of the most welcoming and genuine people I've ever met in the service industry, and I've been in it myself for over 7.5 years. The way she greeted us, asked if it was our first time, explained things, and just kept such a positive, upbeat energy the whole time it made a huge difference. She even came by to check on us while we were eating, which you barely see anymore unless you're at a sit-down restaurant and even then, some places don't do it well. She absolutely nailed it. If that's the level of care and energy she brings as a co-owner, I can only imagine how strong her team is. She sets the tone, and it shows. Overall, this place gets 5 stars across the board from me honestly, if I could give 10, I would give 12. And Brandy? 10 stars easy. She's doing everything right and deserves all the recognition. You can tell she truly cares, and that kind of effort doesn't go unnoticed. Thank you again, Brandy you're amazing at what you do. Keep being you. Your team is lucky to have you, and you're definitely setting the standard. - Gio & Marissa (the guy with the health & life science hat, you know who this is!)
