The gentleman at the front desk is running that place better than most people I've seen run a massage therapy business. He even takes text messages up into a certain part of the evening after the business is closed to try to fit you in and knows what his opens are within 5 to 10 minutes of you texting them. I would love to gate keep this place to myself but I know that they don't need my endorsement for the great things that happen here. Though I won't gate keep the location I will gate keep my therapist (for now) However if I know you personally message me and I'll tell you who she is.. Overall the only place I'll be going to in 2026 unless something changes.

I really wanted to leave a fully positive review because I genuinely enjoyed my massage. The…read moreenvironment was incredibly calming, and my masseuse, Karen, was wonderful. Unfortunately, the experience at checkout completely changed how I felt leaving. When I booked over the phone, I specifically stated that I would be using a gift certificate. Nothing was disclosed at that time about an additional charge. After my massage, I was told I owed an extra $10 because of the age of my gift certificate. I questioned the charge, and ultimately I was not charged the additional $10, but only after I pushed back and questioned why I owed anything at all. The certificate was purchased in December 2024 and states "4x massages," not a dollar amount to be applied toward massages. Hands of Joy has also not increased its massage prices since the certificate was purchased. What concerned me even more was that after I questioned the charge, additional wording was handwritten onto my gift certificate that had not been there when it was originally purchased or given to me. I will be attaching a photo of the certificate for transparency. Terms added after a gift certificate has already been purchased are obviously not terms the purchaser could have agreed to at the time of purchase. I am away for school for months at a time, so naturally it can take me longer to use a multi-massage gift certificate. Being made to feel as though that was somehow an issue, especially over a gift that had already been paid for, took me from feeling completely relaxed to feeling frustrated and belittled. My biggest concern is for customers who may simply pay an unexpected charge without questioning it. California has specific protections surrounding purchased gift certificates, including restrictions on expiration dates and service fees. I would encourage anyone using an older gift certificate anywhere to understand its original terms and ask questions before paying an unexpected additional fee. Karen and the massage itself were wonderful, and I genuinely wish that had been the entirety of my experience. Unfortunately, the way the gift certificate was handled at checkout, and having wording added to it afterward, left a disappointing impression.

This is a place that offers massage and facials, but doesn't have any spa amenities. Furthermore, they have a skeleton staff. My facial was canceled hours before the service because the esthetician got sick. This is understandable with the state of the world. However, they didn't have anybody else to provide the service. Well, no problem. Let me still get my 10 AM massage. I get to the salon at 10 AM. Yelp, says they open at 9 am but nobody is there. I say at about 10:01am Karina shows up. She needs about 10 minutes to prepare before we can start the massage. I'm not in a rush, so no problem. My 90 minute massage was cut down to probably about 75 minutes. When I confronted her about it, she did takeoff $10. But many people would not say anything at all. I found this to be unethical. The whole thing was rather disappointing.

It was the one and only time I got xeomin. Maybe my body didn't react well to that one. I usually only get Botox or dysport. May recent experiences here have been good. I don't get neurotoxins here because I am kind of loyal to the lady I go to in town but this place offers all kinds of services. I was gifted a few Valentine's Day packages so I have tried getting a massage , facial , and mic b12 injections , and worked out at the gym they have and done Pilates too. I've had a good experience with everything . They are super busy but they do get back to you and follow up too. Pilates instructor was really good and knowledgeable. I like when instructors do a good job explaining things in detail and when they correct your form so that you actually work the muscles the exercise is intended to work. She does a good job of that. She's funny too. The gym classes are good too. But if you're new to working out it might be challenging. I was so sore after the upper body class, more sore than I have been in a long time. I just told her to do what she thinks will look good for the color and left the cut and length up to her. It's exactly what I had in mind only better. She knew exactly what to do for my curly hair, and she didn't try to make me look like everyone else out there. She listened to me and that's a big deal.
