(i noticed that the locator is slightly off. it s south east of the square. near the Kanal)
really good, honest, integrated, Vietnamese Imbiss.
I go here a lot. I love the location, the food is quality stuff and prepared by someone who knows what he is doing. Even when I moved to another district I came back, ignoring many good Asian places in my area.
I am glad to say that I moved back to Hallesches Tor, my Kiez, I missed being so close to this fine little and open Vietnamese place late in the evening when I had to work late hours and needed some comfort food. Everyone I take there likes it as well, including my parents!!!
My father is good Chinese Indonesian cook himself.
Especially vegetarians will be happy to come here.
The menu is big and diverse.
This place is a gem and I wish it well in the years to come. Hallesches Tor is changing rapidly, but as long as places like this remain, I am happy.
Sadly, my favorite halal chicken place closed last year. It was on the other side of Hallesches Tor.
It s 2 am and I am hungry now.
You won t find obscure Vietnamese dishes here... just to be clear, they just do the typical Asian dishes you get everywhere in Berlin, but in average better whilst being cheap.
You ll find a lot of locals coming here to hang out, have drinks as well. There is a very famous Berlin photographer who also appears every once in a while. Saw it myself...
The Location is nice. You re right at the mehringplatz which has been renovated and you can spot a lot of people coming from Hallesches Tor. Especially in the summer sitting outside is wonderful, but you can also sit inside with a big glass front you don t feel endlosed. It is an Imbiss though with many locals.
Don t expect a fancy place.
I noticed that the owners are not taking care of marketing at all... they just cook good food which is great, but also a pity... read more
