Stopped by Asia Grand Buffet while on a weekend trip to Ukiah and had an amazing experience. They have a great selection with something for everyone- crab boil, Chinese dishes, American favorites, sushi, desserts, and more. Everything was fresh and flavorful. The service was excellent, with staff who were attentive and friendly, and the restaurant was extremely clean and well-maintained. It's a perfect spot for families, groups, or anyone craving a variety of delicious food all in one place. I loved being able to try so many different dishes and everything we had was really good. And the prices are great. Definitely a must-visit if you're in the area, we will be coming back next time :)

Asia Grand Buffet, Ukiah delivers exactly what you hope for in a bustling, family-friendly buffet: huge variety, fast refills, and surprisingly tasty food. You'll find a solid lineup of Chinese-American classics like sweet-and-sour chicken, Mongolian beef, egg rolls alongside sushi rolls, a salad bar, shrimp, and even a few unexpected gems like dim sum bites and even ice cream. The buffet trays are kept warm and replenished often, especially during peak hours, and the service is friendly but unobtrusive. The dining room itself is spacious, though a bit dated, and the atmosphere leans toward a practical elegance but hey. There are very few places you can eat for $14.95 let alone get full. It's a great value, especially for big eaters or groups looking to sample a little bit of everything. They also do take out for $6.99 a pound. It is satisfying, filling, and fun! I will absolutely be back.

I was passing through town, and this place was just a couple of minutes from my motel. It sits In a strip mall on the north end of town. The place was clean, bright, and everybody was friendly. A good selection of food. I showed up for dinner, where there are more choices. They have a good number of Chinese choices, some American choices, such as fried chicken, french fries, etc., they have a small sushi section, a salad bar with fruit and Jell-O, and a small dessert section that includes soft serve. Some of the things that I really liked, were the Mongolian chicken, a tiny bit spicy, but not overly so, I loved the peanut butter chicken, the teriyaki chicken was good, I liked the peel and eat head on prawns, and I especially liked the coconut chicken. Most Chinese buffets have coconut shrimp, this was the first time I've had the coconut chicken. It was very good. I thought that the best thing on the line, was the tilapia. Rich, flaky, and delicious! The only reason I took away a star, is overall, the temperature of the food was good, but a couple of the items, the temperature was only so so. It's a buffet, it happens. For dinner, with a soda and the senior discount, I only paid a tiny bit over 20 bucks, plus tip. Very reasonable price for very good food. I would be more than happy to stop in again the next time I'm passing through town. Thank you

I came here on a Sunday for dinner with my crew. This buffet is easy to find in the big strip mall that has CVS Pharmacy in it. Plenty of parking. I like buffets like this cause everybody gets to choose what they want and there's something for everybody. Plus, some of there guys can eat a LOT! The price on Sunday which includes seafood stuff like prawns and fish is $17.49 per person, so with tax and a little tip, it's about $21 per person. My work is picking up the tab, so it's all good. Note, the current price is a little higher than the menu pics of the prices, everything's going up! All the food looked good and familiar. Funny how you can go to any Chinese buffet in any city and they all have the same food more or less. For some reason, they all have french fries! But all the normal stuff is here and decent quality, no empty trays waiting. I especially liked the wings and the salt pepper prawns ... yeah the one with the head and shells on it. Some people eat the whole thing shell and all ... I still peel my a little. There's sushi here too, not the super best quality, but still decent and at the level of a Chinese buffet, so no, not fancy sushi bar quality, but hey, it's all you can eat! All my guys and one other girl, like the food just fine. Some were really piling on the noodles and carbs! Me, I stick to the prawns and some veggies, just so I don't feel too guilty! I'll come back to this buffet again if I'm in the area again ... who knows we might be back again before we leave! Oh, service was fine ... you know basically clear the plates and fill the drinks, not so friendly, but very efficient!

Got here at 8pm and the food was still pretty good. I think it would have been even better around dinner time. $17.99 is a great price. The staff is quick to fill drinks and take finished plates! Cozy little spot and a great stop for a road trip!

The staff aren't the most friendly but the food is decent for the price. Nice sushi bar selection.

The food is usually always fresh, the sushi is a good quality, and their muscles and baked crab are excellent.

Jyun Kang Vegetarian - A Meal That Quietly Resets You…read more Some meals speak in flavor. This one speaks in quiet. Jyun Kang is not modern plant-based cuisine. It isn't creative, trendy, or reinvented. This is the kind of vegetarian cooking that comes from older traditions - simple, steady, and designed to calm you more than impress you. And maybe that's why the dining room is always full. White, Black, Indian, Asian - everyone sits at the same wooden tables, eating the same humble dishes with an ease that feels rare these days. The Food: Old-School, Temple-Style, and Intentionally Quiet Nothing here tries to stand out. The dishes are: * lightly seasoned * clean and balanced * tofu, vegetables, and wheat gluten prepared the way temple kitchens have done for decades * no heavy oil, no aggressive spices, no sharp flavors It's not meant to overwhelm you. It's meant to lower the noise inside you. In a strange way, the quietness is the flavor. This is the type of meal where your nervous system shifts down a gear without you realizing it. The Atmosphere: A Dining Room Wrapped in Calm Steps away from the main courtyard of the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas, the restaurant feels like an extension of the grounds themselves. Light streams in softly. People speak gently. Even the clinking of dishes feels slower, more deliberate. Eating here isn't just eating - it's entering a different pace of life. A White Peacock After Lunch After the meal, a white peacock walked across the courtyard - unhurried, soft-footed, almost unreal in how quietly it moved. White peacocks are often considered auspicious, but even without any symbolism, the moment felt grounding - a small, unexpected pause that matched the tone of the meal. Not many restaurants offer you that. The Walk Afterward Part of the experience is what happens once you step outside: * walking past tall trees * seeing peacocks on rooftops * watching families stroll through the open grounds * letting your mind cool in the same way your body just did This isn't a restaurant visit. It's a reset. Verdict: A Place That Nourishes More Than Hunger Jyun Kang serves exactly what it intends to serve: pure, old-style temple vegetarian food, quietly and consistently. It won't dazzle you, but it will steady you. And sometimes, that is worth more than flavor. If you want boldness, go elsewhere. If you want a meal that lowers the volume of your day - come here. Well, the wontons were tender and delicious, and there were plenty of the pork, chicken, and shrimp, and they were also done very well. The garlic chicken was just as good. I could smell the garlic as soon as I opened the container. There was plenty of rice, the chicken was tender, and the veggies were just right. The rice was done perfectly, and it went with the Dish very very well. I had enough soup and garlic chicken to have a nice breakfast as well. The price was reasonable considering I got two meals out of it. The only thing I could say, was they could see that it was a DoorDash order, but I don't know if they could see that it was going to a motel. If they could see that, they should've realized that most motels don't have bowls or plates The garlic chicken and the rice came in small "to go containers", and I had no plates or anything, so it made it kind of hard to eat. The next time I order from this place, I will ask them to include a to go tray. I will order from this place again. Thank you.

They did not out the sauce in the sweet and sour pork or lemon chicken which was great as I live about an hour away. I asked which Chinese chicken dish had assortment of vegetables. They didn't know and returned to tell me the "chicken with vegetables". Had vegetables. Um ok I read that on the menu but everything listed was nonndescriotive and I had no idea the difference between this restaurants version of Szechuan, generals, kung pao etc chicken dishes. Basically server had no clue what was on the menu or even ability tone of assistance. I ordered the general chicken that was supposed to be hot it had no heat and no sauce worth noting. Nor any rice. Nice batter though. My son ordered sushi and had to eat it with a fork because the roll fell apart with chop sticks. Yes he knows how to use them. Sushi was low grade and some was fishy tasting One of my other cohorts had to wait 30-40 minutes after first entree was served before they received their food. Slow unprofessional staff and poor food preparation and quality. Will not be back anytme soon.
