I honestly don't know how this restaurant rates 3 1/2 stars. I'm being generous giving two and that's only because some of the food was more or less edible. Potstickers were pretty okay as long as you didn't get a burned one. Teriyaki ribs were greasy but fairly tasty. The vegetarian chow mein and the rice noodles were inoffensive and the egg rolls (labeled spring rolls) were pretty good and not oily. My husband said the shrimp were good. Otherwise, the food was either dried out or tasteless. Wonton soup had no flavor at all - I had to add salt AND soy sauce. Hot & sour soup was hot, all right, but not sour, and had no flavor. My husband had some of the tilapia and regretted it. There's a salad bar that appeared untouched. There is American food (fried chicken, mashed potatoes) which looked okay but I didn't try it. I had some melon (hard) and orange slices (dried out). My husband asked me if I had noticed the sushi - yes, I saw it, but I was afraid to try it. Atmosphere is utterly depressing - families with kids that are being threatened to eat ("I'm gonna count to three and you better eat... one... two...") or pressured ("You can't have any ice cream until you eat your pizza"). Stopped by Asia Grand Buffet while on a weekend trip to Ukiah and had an amazing experience. They have a great selection with something for everyone- crab boil, Chinese dishes, American favorites, sushi, desserts, and more. Everything was fresh and flavorful. The service was excellent, with staff who were attentive and friendly, and the restaurant was extremely clean and well-maintained. It's a perfect spot for families, groups, or anyone craving a variety of delicious food all in one place. I loved being able to try so many different dishes and everything we had was really good. I was passing through town, and this place was just a couple of minutes from my motel. It sits In a strip mall on the north end of town. The place was clean, bright, and everybody was friendly. A good selection of food. I showed up for dinner, where there are more choices. They have a good number of Chinese choices, some American choices, such as fried chicken, french fries, etc., they have a small sushi section, a salad bar with fruit and Jell-O, and a small dessert section that includes soft serve. Some of the things that I really liked, were the Mongolian chicken, a tiny bit spicy, but not overly so, I loved the peanut butter chicken, the teriyaki chicken was good, I liked the peel and eat head on prawns, and I especially liked the coconut chicken. Most Chinese buffets have coconut shrimp, this was the first time I've had the coconut chicken. It was very good. I thought that the best thing on the line, was the tilapia. Rich, flaky, and delicious! The only reason I took away a star, is overall, the temperature of the food was good, but a couple of the items, the temperature was only so so. It's a buffet, it happens. For dinner, with a soda and the senior discount, I only paid a tiny bit over 20 bucks, plus tip. Very reasonable price for very good food. I came here on a Sunday for dinner with my crew. This buffet is easy to find in the big strip mall that has CVS Pharmacy in it. Plenty of parking. I like buffets like this cause everybody gets to choose what they want and there's something for everybody. Plus, some of there guys can eat a LOT! The price on Sunday which includes seafood stuff like prawns and fish is $17.49 per person, so with tax and a little tip, it's about $21 per person. My work is picking up the tab, so it's all good. Note, the current price is a little higher than the menu pics of the prices, everything's going up! All the food looked good and familiar. Funny how you can go to any Chinese buffet in any city and they all have the same food more or less. For some reason, they all have french fries! But all the normal stuff is here and decent quality, no empty trays waiting. I especially liked the wings and the salt pepper prawns ... yeah the one with the head and shells on it. Some people eat the whole thing shell and all ... I still peel my a little. There's sushi here too, not the super best quality, but still decent and at the level of a Chinese buffet, so no, not fancy sushi bar quality, but hey, it's all you can eat! All my guys and one other girl, like the food just fine. Some were really piling on the noodles and carbs! Me, I stick to the prawns and some veggies, just so I don't feel too guilty! I'll come back to this buffet again if I'm in the area again ... who knows we might be back again before we leave! Extremely pleasant great service fresh food. A lot of people were in there the night. I was eating there on a Thursday night. I'd say the restaurant was 2/3 full. You don't see that many people in the Chinese food restaurant without the food being exceptional. Food was horrible! Meat was mostly dry, tough and flavorless. Other dishes under/over cooked and greasy. Service was impersonal and rude. Price has doubled in the last few years. Drink used to be included in price and now you pay extra. No tea pots. For 2.50 you get a cup of hot water with a tea bag. Place used to be busy at lunch, but there weren't many people at all. If it weren't for the cup of hot and sour soup I would have gone home hungry. Didn't get our $40 worth. Should have had lunch at home. We won't be coming back ever! read more

I liked the interior because it kind of felt homey and definitely welcoming. The servers were very kind and quick to take our plates away when we were done. Honestly, just glad to see more Asians in such a small town. The buffet itself was good. The mushrooms were the best thing though. I would go back just for those mushrooms because the gravy-type sauce they cooked it in was so delicious. Savory, umami, hint of sweetness that complements the savoriness just made it taste amazing! Noteworthy items that I liked: Hot and sour soup (a bit too spicy though), fried wonton with cream cheese, chow mein, mushroom chicken, beef with vegetable, baked imitation crab, mussels with cheese, sushi (mostly variations of California rolls), green beans, fried shrimp, fried sugar donut (would have loved it with sweet condensed milk), tapioca, vanilla soft serve ice cream (surprisingly good and refreshing), jello. Ok: Wonton soup, sautéed shrimp, salt and pepper shrimp, white steamed fish, coconut chicken (they should really make coconut shrimp), pot stickers, dessert cakes. I just ate here with my grandparents and got instantly sick. My grandparents love this place, we've been here before many times. All i served myself was a bit of chow mein, a few fried potstickers, sushi, orange chicken and cream cheese wontons. I finished my plate and immediately started feeling nauseated. I went to the bathroom and started feeling weak and dizzy. I then vomited. Not even 20 minutes after finishing my plate of food it ended up in their bathroom trashcan. I told the gentleman at the front who had an airpod in. When I told him the food made me sick, he went on about how they serve 400+ people per day and it "could've just been an upset stomach". Met promptly at the door to be seated. Good variety of fresh food for lunch. Some really delicious options. This is a family run business and everyone is working hard. The kitchen is pushing out a lot of decent honest Chinese food, albeit American style. Favorite dishes were the braised, non-breaded white fish (probably tilapia). Very tender and light. Several types of breaded chicken pieces in different flavors - spicy, orange, etc. All very good and trimmed well. One beef dish for lunch was VERY tender and, again, well trimmed with no fat or gristle whatsoever. Fresh string beans stir fried in garlic were first rate! They had giant prawns in the shell for lunch that were very nice. Some other comforting favorites were egg foo young and tofu with mushrooms. They have a buttery "Krab" dish that is ridiculously good and very rich, along with a coconut chicken that was quite flavorful and nice. You really cannot beat this place for a good meal at a very affordable price. Things that you can skip - the wontons - oh, these weren't good. They buy these frozen; I bet if they made these in house they would be quite nice. The sushi is forgettable. They also have nice fresh salad bar and fresh and canned fruit and sesame balls for dessert. Oh and our favorite dish is actually their fried chicken wings which are small and exquisitely crunchy! I really love these wings!! They have pizza and I don't know why - maybe for kids? I would love some other veggie dishes - like some Cantonese eggplant would be super fun. Or some Chow fun. This place was pretty good for a buffet. My family is always on the search for a good buffet north of the Bay Area. Today, a friend told us about this buffet. We live in Santa Rosa so this was quite the drive, but we plan a day around it. The food was fresh and had lots of flavor compared to any buffet it's size that I have ever tried. The crab puffs were fully stuffed (not like other places where you take a bite and it's 1/4 filled). The chicken wings were perfectly seasoned and crispy. Even the potstickers were restaurant quality, not flat like Super Buffet in Santa Rosa. I was really impress with this place. The staff was also attentive and friendly. It may be out of the way, but it will be #1 choice when I'm in the area again. P.S Prices are $9.99 a person except dinner and weekends are $12.99. Kids under 2 eat free. Literally the worst meal I've had in my entire life. All the chicken was the same fatty chunks, and the texture of it all made me gag, and I'm not even joking. I actually gagged. The coconut chicken flavor also made me gag, in addition to the texture. "Sushi" was questionable and the texture of the "salmon" was not normal...there were also flies flying around the sushi table. The chow mein tasted of nothing but greasy spaghetti, not even salt added. The fried shrimp was dripping in oil, actually everything here was dripping in oil except the white rice. Mostly generic, funky or even bad food for a great price. Lots of selections so you will find something to enjoy. Baked salmon, fresh fruit, steamed rice, veggie dishes and other items can allow a person to make some healthy choices. There is a place like this in Santa Rosa, Fu Zhou Chinese near the downtown mall on Mendocino. So many of the dishes are the same as well as the format that I think it is the same owners. Servers were really friendly and attentive and they were good about refreshing the buffet line. For just opening they are doing really well with being organized and on top of things. Offered is 'to go' by the pound. Sushi was rolled nice but the fish was oh so bad- maybe they should just do Ca. rolls, Smoked Eel and something else safe and sane that won't make me worry about parasites. Some odd smells were noticed like icky seafood or something when I first arrived. I didn't find any dishes that made me go 'wow' but nothing was bad either. What they lack in quality you can make up for in quantity so I suspect this place will do very well in today's tough economy.
