They closed the hayride that is available before 6 p.m. Most of the fun activities advertised on their social media require additional payment. For example, $40 gets you only 45 tickets loaded onto a card, while most rides cost 6-7 tickets. Even the corn maze costs 8 tickets, and the haunted maze/hayride costs 20 tickets, which is excessive considering the price of admission. Overall, I left feeling disappointed. Between the admission fee, the additional costs for nearly every activity, and the long drive, the experience simply wasn't worth it for our family. You'll be warmly welcomed at the entrance where you can register to be sent a discount and US mailed reminder for next year's tree. There is Christmas music playing as you go get your tree cart and saw. Yes, I said saw, you get to cut down your very own tree that you picked out. There are many trees of all sizes which have all been nicely manicured. The pine scent in the area is so wonderful especially when you cut yours down! We usually look for a 6-7 foot tree with a tapered design with a wide bottom to a narrow top and a straight trunk which is the look of most of the trees. Their trees vary in prices and I believe they run approximately $13 per foot. Before you head out to pick out your tree you can visit and take your photos with an awesome Santa, props of snowman and gingerbread men with a cutout space for your smiling face. Then you can mosey over to the vendors and dessert food trucks with yummy treats. The farm has free popcorn and coffee and you can purchase a hot chocolate with marshmallows on top! Now you are primed and ready to get your tree so you take your tree cart and saw and head out. Now if you are not able or interested in cutting your tree down there many helpers around that can do it for you. I enjoy watching my grandkids help us pick out that perfect tree and take turns sawing it down. We load the tree on our cart and head back to pay for our beautiful tree. For a small fee there is also tree shakers to get those dead pine needles out and netting to protect your tree on your trip home.
