I have a 4-year old Sony XBR55X930D television that without any warning nor previous issues just crapped out on me. No power at all. Went to the Sony website and did all of the obvious trouble shooting and then went to the chat where again I assured the technician that all possible troubleshooting had been pursued. Even though I'm sure the unit is out of warranty, the technician set me up for a free-of-charge service call and ordered the suspected Main Board part that would be necessary. Sony handled everything, including assigning Ashton Electronics as the service provider. The service provided by Ashton is something this 68-year-old fella hasn't experienced since what I'll say is the "olden days." Personal contact from Amy at Ashton via both email and phone assured me that Ashton was on the case. Once the part arrived she reached out to schedule a convenient service appointment, and today, well within the window promised, two wonderful, courteous, masked technicians showed up at my house, got to work tracing with their gear to eliminate any possible reasons for no power before then quickly and efficiently opening up the back of the unit, replacing the Main Board, tested the unit, and then helped me put it back where it belonged. All very pleasant snd efficient and reminding me of a time when this kind of service could always be expected. I can't say enough how pleased I am today with Sony, but especially with everyone at Ashton Electronics!!! read more

They don't fix your electronics. I have an epson projector, and ashton is the epson service center nearest me. The first time I took my projector in to get repaired for an overheating problem, they took it and "fixed it" within about two weeks when they originally told me one. When I turned my projector back on, it immediately displayed an error message about the air filter. So then I took it back. I just got it back today, and within a couple seconds of turning it on it shut down and the lamp error warning light started flashing. (The lamp in the projector is brand new) DO THEY NOT TRY TURNING ON THEIR ELECTRONICS WHEN THEY ARE DONE REPAIRING THEM TO TEST THEM????????? read more

I have a warranty through Asurion and I was very unhappy with the two previous companies that they sent out. Active and Total for a repair on both my dishwasher and my washing machine. Both of those two companies said the dishwasher was working, but it shuts off after an hour and by keep banging on the door, 9 hours later it finally finishes. So by the time Ashton came out I didn't have much hope. How wrong I was. The tech thought he found the problem and ordered parts. The dishwasher was worse, I called and the tech came out again but not before calling Bosch to see if this could be fixed. He ordered the parts and my dishwasher is working like new. The same two companies came out for my washing machine, the lock didn't work or so I thought. The lock was replaced 3 times and still didn't work. When the techs from Ashton came out to check, when I told him the above, he said it's the brain and is ordering parts for it. I am very happy with this company! David kept telling me the problem with the dishwasher would be fixed but after months of having people to my home with no fix, I was doubtful. For my appliances that are not under contract I will call this company. An example, Active and Total looked at the dishwasher but offered no solution, when Ashton came out, the first thing they did was take the dishwasher apart. amazing read more

I rarely leave negative feedback but if I could I would give. Ashton Electronics a zero. When I first talked to Amy she was very informative and arranged to have a repairman come out in two days to look at my 6 year old LG refrigerator. He arrived on time, was in my house for 15 minutes, and charged me $120.00. He confirmed what I already expected that the compressor needed to be replaced. This was covered under warranty but the parts that needed to be replaced with the compressor were not covered according to Amy. When I talked to Amy on Thursday she said she would have LG send the parts overnight if not it would arrive on Saturday and they would get it installed over the weekend. The part did not show up until around 6:00 pm on Monday. My dealings with Amy became nasty at this point. She wouldn't schedule a tennative apptointment until she verified the part was correct. The next thing I know a technician calls me on Tuesday and says he will be over in one hour. There was no phone call from Amy that a technician would be calling me. The technician was friendly and professional. It took him less than an hour hour to install. I was told by Amy it would take between 3-4 hours to install and that was why the charge was $350.00. When I asked the technician to show me the parts he installed he showed me one small part in addition to the compressor. There were no other parts yet I was charged for additional parts. I put my concerns in writing and e-mailed them to Amy. The next day a gentleman called me from Ashton. He never identified himself. I expressed my concrrns for the charges and was told I had agreed to them. He was unprofessional and began to argue with me and the charges stood as quoted. The $120.00 intial visit was never deducted as I was lead to believe. The total for a compressor that was under warranty was $671.00. Strongly advise people who read this to find an ethical repair shop. My problem was not reading the reviews prior to hiring them as I was desperate to have a working a refrigerator. read more

Excellent service replacing a compressor on my LG refrigerator. From initial call to scheduling estimate to actual repair......I'm very pleased with everything Ashton Electronics did. Not having a working frig is awful and Ashton Electronics not only ordered the parts quickly....they also were able to schedule me very quickly. The repair technicians came on time and did an excellent repair job. My frig was up and running right away. They even did a follow-on call to make sure everything was in place and working. Beware of the crooks!! My mom contacted them regarding a non-working dryer repair. They charged $120 to show up just to look at the problem (to be credited towards the repair if we proceeded with them). Once they showed up, they said we needed a main board, and it would take 2 weeks to receive. They showed up a little after the two weeks, an swapped the main board. They charged us for the part, labor, and another service call. Mind you, we should've received the $120 credit from the first stop, totaling over $500. The dryer stopped working again after two weeks. They showed up and said they would need to order the same part, and it would take another 2 weeks. I called them to say we can't wait again that long, and have decided to get a new dryer. I asked the customer service rep to talk to the owner to get a refund from the part supplier, and a refund on one of the service calls. Not only they never replied, but when I called back, they said they can't refund us anything, because their supplier doesn't refund them. At that point. I told them since we've paid for a working main board, and their supplier (supposedly) is responsible to provide a working main board, I demand they deliver/ship the replacement main board to us (which we had paid for). Unfortunately, they've refused to even do that. read more

Do NOT use this company!!! They refused to acknowledge the fact that they did NOT repair our TV and left us with a $513 bill and a TV that does not work. The owner would not negotiate a fair compensation for leaving us with a worthless TV. They also replaced the LCD screen a little over two years ago and then told us that the reason the recent repair ($513) did not fix our TV was because we really needed to pay $1,000 for another LCD screen. RUDE, nasty, people. STAY AWAY!! I wish I had read the bad reviews before calling them again to fix our TV! read more

I had an extended warranty repair done by Ashley electronics. The technician was polite but that doesn't get the job done and of course they bailed out after the fourth try and wiped their hands clean leaving the washing machine in a worse condition extending this whole wait for the warranty to either replace or send a new tech out. Back to step one very upsetting would not recommend these guys at all. This process dragged along for a whole month! I would give a zero, but it's not an option! read more

To tell you the truth, after LG assigned Ashton Electronics for my OLED C9 TV repair and I saw the many poor reviews, I was a little skeptical of what was ahead for my repair. I was completely satisfied with their service. After telling Amy the issue, she had the parts ordered and after they came in, she called me for the appt. window for the next day. Eddie showed up within the window and replaced the power and circuit boards. He was pleasant and professional. TV works great! Knock on wood! read more

This idiot ignored my questions and left the heavy compressor middle of my kitchen when i asked him to please take it out to my front door. I called the company to complain and this rude lady was even more moron when she said i gave her a hard time because they had to change their schedule to come to my house. I had an LG refrigerator go out on me and my case was assigned to Ashton Electronics by my warranty provider. When the technician arrived to assess the issue, he suspected it was the compressor as LG has been known to have issues with their compressors, in fact, they have a class action lawsuit against them. Ashton Electronics ordered the part and installed it (3 day process). Before the technicians left, they showed me that the refrigerator was cooling as I could feel the cold air coming out. Unfortunately I had to go out of town right after they replaced the compressor and when Ashton Electronics called me the next day to see how my repair went, I couldn't give him accurate feedback. It turns out that the refrigerator was cooling but not cold enough to freeze or keep the refrigerator part cold enough to store food.. I opened another ticket with Best Buy and was referred to Ashton where they deployed the same technicians. They said they needed another part which was ordered and replaced. All is working fine now and I do not blame Ashton Electronic at all for not knowing that a second part was needed because I have not doubt in my mind that the compressor was bad as well. I would have no problem using Ashton Electronics again. read more

First, he put me on hold and I could hear that he was discussing personal business, it was for very long time. We had a refrigerator that needed repair under warranty purchased through Best Buy. As usual, we made an appointment for repair within a certain window of time on a certain day. The time came and went with no one showing up during that time. My husband contacted the company and was told someone would be on their way within another 45-60 minutes. That window starts to pass by, so I contact the company again. We were told we'd get a call back about the status of the repair person within 5 minutes. It took about half an hour and we finally got a call that someone was on their way. More waiting and finally two people arrived to repair the fridge. Thankfully, they worked fairly quickly and our fridge was fixed. However, the service was not reliable at all. I had to rearrange my schedule for their appointment window which kept getting moved back. I wasted hours that day sitting at home when I could've and should've been doing other things. read more

I give this place a one star for customer service. I called this place because their info was provided to me by LG as the nearest authorized technician. The woman who answered the phone sounded annoyed the moment she picked up the phone. I asked nicely for a quote on replacing a specific model compressor for my fridge so I can do price comparison with other places. She refused to even give me an estimate and said I must pay $120 just for a technician to come out and proceeded to lecture me about all the other parts that I may need replaced. If this was done in a friendly manner, I wouldn't have been so put off but her tone was definitely rude and condescending. After spending $120, I would imagine you would be inclined to use the same technician even if their service fees were higher than other places (to offset the cost) and I guess that's how they bait and hook you. Seeing the other reviews, I am glad I did not get suckered into paying $120. read more

Called to make an appt, had to wait 4 days for them to come out, set a time for 8:30/9:00am. No one arrived by 9:15, called to make sure all was ok, was informed that the owner had decided to send the tech to the Valley instead as it was a "priority" even though I was clearly already scheduled prior and no one bothered to call me to let me know. I had taken the morning off work, cleared away the area to allow for tv access etc. Completely unacceptable and is a clear example of how not to provide customer service. I also found several other electronic repair companies that will apply the $100 diagnostic fee to repairs which Ashton does not, so you are much better off going elsewhere. read more
