My furniture was scheduled for delivery TODAY, Sept 30th between 3 pm - 6pm. I get a call and speak with the person who says they're be coming closer to the 3 pm hour than the 6 pm hour. I arrive at 3 pm. I wait until 5:30 pm. No one shows. I called to find someone came at 2:20 PM. I asked what's the point of a time window if you're arriving when you feel like it. Amy and Maria say, if the driver is done with with deliveries earlier than they can go earlier. EXPLAIN THE POINT OF A TIME FRAME OF YOU CAN COME WHEN YOU FEEL LIKE IT! I same I want my things today. I was there for my window and YALL get to come when you feel like it! I HATE THIS PLACE. I broke my neck to get there and now the best they can do for THEIR ERROR is A WEEK LATER! I've been trying to get a hold of someone regarding a table set I've bought during this covid time. It took months to even get due to covid and short stock then they tried to deliver it to wrong house therefore had to go pick it up from main distribution center then I get it home to not only realized 4/6 chairs where cracked and broke and the table was not steady no matter how many time I keep trying to screw them and tighten them. STOP! Don't purchase any furniture from Ashley's Furniture. We have had the worst furniture-buying experience with them. This is our first and last purchase with this company. We purchased a 4-chair dining table, a coffee table set with end tables, and a TV--console, Sofa, Loveseat, and Recliner. So we spent a lot of money with this unprofessional, inconsiderate, and money-hungry company. From day one of the delivery day that my furniture was delivered, we were lied to, and it just got worse from that day on. Our TV console was provided missing all the shelves, the bottom leg is broken, and the distressed looked like someone shot it with a bibi gun (it isn't enjoyable). But the worst part of the whole matter is the couch and loveseat. Let me start by saying they are pretty, but you can't sit down on them without sitting on the floor. The cushions were made with budget cuts in mind; what I mean by that is the sofa fabric does not cover the entire cushion. The bottom half of the cushion is made with regular fabric that rubs against the jean fabric on the base of the bottom of the sofa, which slides right out of the couch for both the sofa and the loveseat. We tried calling for a repair or replacement ten times with no resolution. Whenever we contact customer service, they tell us that our service request has been canceled. We finally had a third-party technician come to look at the sofa set, and he said there wasn't anything he could do for us. We would need a new set because the cushions were made incorrectly and with budget cuts in mind. Eric, the technician who came out to take a look, assured me that he would put in the report that he looked and couldn't repair the sofa set on Dec 1st. I called today to find out the status of my repair, and now the customer service is telling us that they have no record of Eric from Affirm, their 3rd party vendor. coming out to see and or him writing up a report about the couches, so now we are back to square one. Wish I would of checked the reviews before I ordered. I paid $1500 for furniture with legs. Not exactly a drop in the bucket is it? The legs were not put on my Sofa Bed or Love Seat. Called customer service three times each time they tell me there is no record of my calls. I just want someone to come and put the legs on my couches NOW. It's been 10 days since it was delivered. I was already unhappy it took almost 5 weeks to get here. 10/08 product delivered, was told I would be contacted to schedule getting the legs put on. 10/11 Called 866-787-7930 was transferred and told I would be contacted in 48 to 72 hours. 10/15 called 734-589-0700 no record of 1st call, told I would be contacted in 48 to 72 hours. I believe her name was Autumn. 10/18 no record of 2nd call. Told again I would be contacted in 48 to 72 hours. Also asked to have service to call today and was told ok. I am not holding my breath. just now-Edit I purchased a dining room set on November 29th In-Store. I paid up front at the store. They said I wouldn't be able to get the table delivered until December 28th. That was quite far out but I wanted the table. So we waited. Then I got a call one day before delivery telling me that you didn't have the table and delivery was delayed until January 22nd. Another whole month is unacceptable. So I called on December 27th to find out why it will be another month and how can I trust that I will actually get the table on the next date, which was January 22nd on the message they left me. Shana expressed that this wasn't okay and she was going to see what she could do to speed up delivery and possibly some type of discount for our troubles. I was pleased with her response and waited to hear back. No call back for 1 1/2 weeks, so I called again on 1/12/20 and asked to speak again to Shana. She apologized for forgetting to follow up and still didn't have any information. She told me the place she needed to call was closed since it was Sunday. She also mentioned the NEW delivery date was February 4th (ARE YOU KIDDING ME A THIRD DATE) She said she would call me back they next day after she talked to them. No call all day so at about 7 I called to speak to Shana, she wasn't available so I spoke with Pricilla. Pricilla said she was very busy and would look into the matter and call me back in 30-40 minutes. After an hour and the store closing soon I called back and spoke with Pricillia, who put me on hold for 40 minutes to finally get on the phone just to tell me a "ticket" was submitted and that Shana would talk to me tomorrow. Well so far nobody has ever actually called me back. So I will be going to the store directly tomorrow , and if I don't feel like I have been valued as a customer I will be canceling my order and going somewhere else. Since I have ordered this table from here, I have ordered and had delivered a living room set and Mattress set from their competition. I ordered a T.V. stand from Ashley Home Store on 02/04/20, & it was delayed & rescheduled 3x times without ever being delivered to me!...I put in a claim to be refunded what I paid for it, & still do not see my return credit now it being 06/09/2020...I spoke with several customers service reps & last told that my claim was put in on May 1st, 2020., & it will take up to 6x weeks before I see my credit....I'm running out of patience, all I want is my refund for product that you could not deliver!....I will never conduct business or recommend business to Ashley Furniture until this matter is put right & resolved!!! read more

The short version: I ordered a sectional. I told Valerie the one on the showroom floor was the configuration I wanted. It was going to take 3 weeks to make and deliver. The day of delivery the drivers were an hour late. I missed an appointment because of it and for what? The wrong couch. It's been almost 6 weeks. I still don't have a couch and I've been sitting on the floor. Would love if Ashley corporate would pay for a visit to the chiropractor. Update --- The couch was delivered but they forgot a piece. Had to wait an additional week for the chaise they forgot to send. Today was the delivery day and no one came or called. The long version: After the drivers were an hour late and brought the wrong couch because the saleswoman doesn't know what she's doing I called them. They said my ticket was locked and I would get a call in 24 hours. I never got a call. 6 days later I called them and spoke with Lavell. He said he'd get the correct one ordered and call me the next day with a new delivery date. 3 days later I still had not received a call. So I called them. It was being delivered the next day. I GOT NO HEADS UP. I wasn't even in the state. He told me he'd call me back with a new delivery date and if they could compensate me for my trouble. Never called me. A few days later I called and got ahold of Priscilla. Each time I've had to reexplain bc no one there knows what's going on. She said that would compensate me 250.00 and my couch would be delivered in 2 additional weeks. 8 days later I still don't have my refund. I called and talked to Priscilla who said someone would get ahold of me today. No one has called me yet and it's nearly 5pm. I'm currently on hold writing this review. There's is ZERO communication at this Ashley. They blow smoke, nobody knows what's going on, I've called them at least 11 times and talked to 5 different people. I will never shop here again. The funny thing is I saw this sectional online for 400.00 cheaper, but I didn't order it online bc I thought I wouldn't get the right configuration. Go figure. This has been the worst experience with a business I've ever had. Update --- they finally delivered my couch, but only brought one piece instead of two, they forgot to send the chaise. I don't know what is going on with this company. Anyways I was told the chaise would be delivered the 17th, TODAY and they didn't come. No one even called me to tell me the chaise wasn't available. Went in store, purchased a sectional and ottoman paid in full on 8/23/20... the salesperson Brandon Liley guaranteed end of September delivery date of 9/21/2020. After a couple weeks I wanted an update went online to find a status update put my information in and it kicked back saying INVALID INFORMATION! WHAT?! After trying to get through to the store which took AT LEAST a dozen calls left messages no return calls, I finally get through to someone on customer service who said NOVEMBER 26 was the earliest it would be in warehouse! Absolutely upset angry and baffled why I received a guarantee date that was false and to add the new warehouse date was end of November! Mind you I made it clear I wanted something I could get quickly! He said oh yea this is made in US in Utah, and will be to you by September 21, 2020! So given so I purchased... that was worst. The sales guy gave his number, responded at first when I asked for the status update. Said he'd get back to me never did. I sent over 10 text messages to him, he chose to read and not reply as his read receipts were on.. this infuriated me as he being our sales guy and someone saying he needed to handle the situation.. he never called back. Left message with the store and a sales rep said he'd call back when he got in... nothing. NOTHING! No reply no call back no texts. At this point I was so upset I wanted to cancel my order. On September 9, 2020 I cancelled my order, they stated a full refund would be back on my card in 5-7 business days... here comes the worst: yesterday 9/29/20 I get my statement WITH THE PURCHASE STILL ON IT!!!! 20 days later no refund. I call customer service, and they said your order is not cancelled! I said WHAT?! I cancelled back on 9/9/20. I cancelled with the store on 9/9/20 how is my order not ?! So the customer service rep Ebony put my order in cancellation so I HOPE! I contact the store this morning to assure and speak with Priscilla about the situation and she said the order is cancelled and a full refund will be issued in 5-7business days. That is get an email stating so.. yet I HAVE NO EMAIL YET! This is absolutely ridiculous!!!! I will be seeking legal action against the company and I will have my bank fued the charges as all I'm trying to get is email confirmation that my order is cancelled and a full refund is in process! Walked in was not greeted by one person. Looking around, as I just purchased the Rawcliffe but it wouldn't clear my doorway to enter, so I'm looking to repurchase. When I needed help I asked for it, store sales man in a white coat quickly helped me. As soon as he saw an Indian couple walk in he stopped with me to greet them, go over financing options, and then browsed the store with them. Do not buy from here. It was my 1st time buying from Ashley Homestore and my last. Purchased a wall entertainment system early October and still waiting for Hardware to set it up and it's Dec 15. They 1st delivered the unit damaged and had to come back 2.5 weeks later. When they returned they only had part of my order not the compete order. They said they would return in a few weeks. Now it's 2 days after thanksgiving and they return with my order but no hardware to install my unit. They said they would order the hardware and discount me 150.00 off my order. Hills not knowing that's where you pick up your orders. NP. A very nice young man gave me directions to Westland saying no more than 20 minutes away. Arrived at the store and was in the store long enough to scope the entire perimeter before being approached my horrible Horvath. The issue: Any question I asked was responded to in the negative. As if he did not want to make a sale. I asked about floor models, a mattress, a dining table and his response to each was in the negative. Good salespeople turn anything that might end the sale into a plus but not this guy... he was "oh, I don't think floor models come with a warranty". We have way more online; Oh we just sold this sofa" . He advised me 2X to go online. Not 'let me go online and print warranty info for you'; not 'let me show you a similar sofa' or 'dining set'. Not even a pitch on the quality of the furniture. He mentioned how hard it was for them bc of Art Van! A dead end. I left. I drove 45 minutes in the rain for this disappointment and was no closer to furnishing the rooms. Added: THE OWNER OF THE STORE RESPONDS TO REVIEWS LIKE HE/SHE IS GOING TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT BUT THEN DOES NOT FOLLOW OR AMEND THE SITUATION. First, I was lied to about when things would be delivered. Then only half of a bed that I ordered came in the first delivery (the second half of the bed was backed ordered and they didn't let me know that until the first order came). Due to this, the bed sat in pieces around the bedroom for a month not assembled. I had paid for delivery and assembly to make things "easy". In the second delivery date for the rest of the bed, they forgot some of the hardware for assembly so they still could not assemble it. I had to wait for the hardware to come in, and called to have them come out to assemble the bed when it did arrive. Both times I have called they instructed me someone would reach out in 24-48 hours to schedule someone to come out and finish the assembly. It's been 3 additional weeks since this and no one has reached out. This has been a horrible experience and it's not worth the trouble. Go get your furniture literally anywhere else. I am completely filled with regret. I wish I could rate this place with ZERO STARS. Why did I buy from this store?!? Ashley Homestore in Westland, MI (Corporate office in Farmington Hills, MI) is a complete disgrace. It all started in late July when I brought my mother into this store to look for a new couch. A birthday present for my mother. We were first told that we would have the couch delivered in 7 days, and that there was one more couch in stock at the warehouse. Great! So I paid with my Visa and we completed the purchase. The charge went through on my credit card immediately, of course. Well, as you can guess that delivery day came and went. On the next attempt to deliver (day 8 from purchase), we were given a 2 hour window for delivery. When the delivery window passed we decided to give the warehouse a call for an explanation for the delay. No one plans their entire day to wait for a delivery! Warehouse customer service then told us she would contact the truck driver, and in turn the truck driver said he doesn't have a delivery scheduled and doesn't have the couch either. Well, you can imagine the fury. Not only that, but the warehouse customer service then said they no longer have that couch in stock and will not have it in stock because the couch has been discontinued. Not acceptable! A refund is now warranted. DO NOT SALE MERCHANDISE YOU DO NOT HAVE IN STOCK OR WILL NOT HAVE IN STOCK IN THE NEAR FUTURE! Apparently, Ashley Homestores are franchised and do not share stock. It doesn't make sense to not have a non-customized item available for shipment from some Ashley warehouse in the network. After receiving the run-around (Need manager approval on a refund, Will have manager call you back, etc. etc. etcetera) we have now arrived at Day 40 with no couch and no reply from the manager of the store. I have nothing nice to say about this Ashley Homestore. I WILL NOT be patronizing another Ashley Homestore of any location. I WILL be fighting for a full refund of my money paid for this non-existent couch. Ashley Homestore should be ashamed of themselves. You can not take thousands of dollars of people's money with a promise of delivering a product you DO NOT and WILL NOT......HAVE IN STOCK! An exchange is not acceptable. Only a refund! Update: It is now Week 7 from date of purchase. No couch. No refund. However, I have taken this matter to the issuer of the VISA card I used for this purchase. After 3 weeks of VISA calling Ashley to rectify the dispute peacefully, Ashley Homestore has provided no refund, only the same excuses. VISA will now process a chargeback against Ashley Homestore. Delivery people brought me a King box spring and a queen-sized mattress when I ordered a King and left me chasing around answers about my correction, Leaving me with the mattress. On top of this after being asked to take off their shoes because of my white carpet (which had just been professionally cleaned not even two prior) and it being wet outside one of the two decided to do so resulting in me needing my steps cleaned again. I tried contacting the store itself to no avail. I'm writing a review on google and yelp for the first time and created an account specifically to warn others about my horrible experience here. My husband and I went to the store over 8 weeks ago to buy furniture. We purposely picked Ashley over ArtVan in order to save money. NOT WORTH IT. We were initially told in store our furniture would come within 7-10 days, then 4-6 weeks. After 3 deliveries, countless hours on the phone and sending emails, and two months of waiting, we still don't have all of our things. Reaching out to store customer service, multiple managers and corporate is pointless. Everyone is pleasant and apologizes, but no one knows what's going on or actually helps fix the problem. Our dresser "disappeared into thin air" yesterday and we're now being told we have to wait another 10-14 days for a new one to come. After living out of suitcases for two months and spending almost $4000 in merchandise, the only thing I've been offered is an apology, a $100 store gift card and a delivery fee refund. Under no circumstances will I EVER be returning to this store. Literally the worst customer service experience of my life. HIGHLY consider going elsewhere and spending a little extra somewhere else. I confirmed that my refund posted to my credit card, so I can now speak my mind about Ashley HomeStore. This was the worst customer service experience I've ever had in my life. No single person with whom I dealt was particularly malicious or duplicitous, and I did get my refund in the end, so I can't claim that I was actually defrauded. But the entire company -- the in-store sales personnel, the delivery-and-setup crew, the so-called "Guest Response Team" (really just a glorified call center) -- reeks of bureaucratic incompetence. I don't care to tell my entire story here, but one part of it is representative of the whole. During one of the times when I tried to call the Westland, MI location, I was left on hold for too long and my call was sent to a queue where apparently anyone at any location in the country can pick it up. My call was picked up by a salesperson in Texas but he didn't tell me that, not until after I spent several minutes talking to him about the status of my refund. It went something like this... Salesperson: "Sorry, I can't help you with that. You need to call the store where you bought the chair." Me: "I *did* call the store where I bought the chair. What store am I talking to now?" Salesperson: "We're in Texas." Me: "Okay, fine. Please transfer me back to the other store." Salesperson: "Sorry, I can't do that either." Me: "Why not? You picked up my call..." Salesperson: "That's just how the phones work. It's a regional thing." Repeat that exchange several times over almost three months, and you get some idea of what my experience was like. As for the furniture itself, it's... okay. Nothing special. The kind of stuff you buy to furnish a cheap apartment, because they *promise* to deliver it quickly and you don't need it to last more than a few years. Update: We're rolling into December and I'm still fighting this store for the compensation. I keep calling in to both the Customer Claims and the Westland store to get things rolling and both heads are blaming the other for not getting things started. I took a couple weeks off near the holidays of hounding them and when I called back, the last day anything had been done on the ticket was the last day I called two weeks prior. This really makes me feel bad. If I stop calling, I will lose the compensation I feel I deserve for the days I took off work waiting for the furniture to arrive only to be rescheduled, however, now I feel if I don't keep calling they will let my claim slip through the cracks. Got a call a week later to schedule my delivery. Welp, that's where the wheels fell off. Scheduled my delivery with the young lady who called for THURSDAY APRIL 30th. Never showed. Spent the better half of 3 hours today (and probably 4 hours yesterday) trying to confirm/locate my delivery and order. Finally, after sitting on hold/transfers for 3 hours today someone confirms that my delivery is set for MAY 30th and there's nothing she can do to change it/help/move it forward. Believe me, I'm no Karen. I'm polite. I do not have unreasonable expectations. I understand accidents happen. BUT we threw our furniture out yesterday after someone confirmed our delivery was in fact happening yesterday evening. No solutions offered, no concessions, no escalations. The only offer was ANOTHER PHONE NUMBER TO CALL and try to resolve with someone else. Just don't order from them. Go anywhere else. I can't believe how difficult it's been to resolve an issue. UPDATE: Saw that an Ashley rep shared their email address in another review and decided to email her about the issue. Within 4 hours, she contacted me and apologized. Moved my delivery date up to May 9th. So rather than spend a month without a couch, we only have to wait 7 days. Reasonable solution, so I'm editing review and stars. 9/14/2019 my husband and I purchased a coffee table and end table from Ashley's in Westland. We elected to pick it up instead of delivery since it was simple items we could fit in our truck. We were told we picked up directly from the store and the items would be ready 9/26/2019. 9/26/2019 comes and goes, no phone call, no email nothing. I call to inquiry (which I thought I was calling the store directly, nope just a call center). I was told it would be in October 2. I call October 2 and was told it would ready on October 4. My husband calls October 4 and they said it would be ready October 7. Well, you guessed it we called October 8 and guess what? They say it was ready. My husband heads to the store and finds out pick up location is at Grand River and M-5. He travels there only to sit around and wait for 45 minutes but to be told it wasn't there. At this point we both are frustrated, no phone calls and zero communication from Ashley's for two items that were supposed to be ready 9/26. I made a purchase online. The company charged me for my total order plus an additional $500 , and when i tried contacting someone i was unable to get ahold of anyone at there customer for two days. There was no virtual agent to speak with, and no one would email me back. I am not happy with this company and will never order anything again. read more

Do not ever shop here. They promised that my furniture in December 19, 2020. Ordered on September 20, 2020. They confirmed delivery twice and did not show up! And now they are saying it will be delivered in February or March 2021. And good luck on reaching someone. They give you the runaround! Terrible customer service! read more

If I could give a 0 star I would!!!! Ordered our furniture FOUR months ago, part of the set came in and they said because of covid the other parts were delayed a couple weeks. No problem, except when they have switched the day over 10 times, each time with a new date and time frame only to be cancelled on repeatedly. And here we are four months later with absolutely NO answer to when the other furniture will come. HORRIBLE customer service - they only offered a $50 card when we called, topped with a pile of excuses and empty apologies. We will be taking this further to get our money back. I would give zero stars if I could. Do not shop here, and believe me I will spread the word. 3 months and two delivery date push backs I still don't have my furniture. Don't even take the time to call ANY phone numbers, because they don't answer. I got a call from a rep saying if you don't call back in only a few hours my order will be pushed back. (And that's only half the order). Well, I stayed on hold the entire time with no answer!!! I'm going into the store to cancel my order. The worst business service ever.. We purchased a bedroom outfit and was told we could pick it up on a certain date...the date came and we then found out the date was just an estimated date. We have still yet to receive our bedroom outfit. The management office staff are working on this situation and have been very kind, we do appreciate that but these things wouldn't happen if the sales staff wasn't in such a rush to just get the sale. read more

I have been waiting for a sofa and love seat set since July!!! Have been told various reasons why I have not gotten them. This is very bad business. Finally today I am told that one piece is available on Oct 17th and the other piece is comming from another warehouse. No date on when I will get it. I have been very patience for 3 months. Disappointed is an understatement. I purchased a bed on 11/16/19 and was set to deliver 11/27/19. I left the store as happy as one can be, found exactly what I wanted. I was promised at the store delivery would be amazing, fast, and simple. They would set it up and I would be 100% satisfied before the delivery people would leave. Words from the sales person mouth "you can jump up and down on the bed and make sure the bed is up to your standards." So with all of this in mind, Delivery day came, and now is when it goes all down hill. The two delivery men came in started putting the bed together and as I thought they were finishing up they tell me the store didn't send them all the parts to the bed. So obviously my frustration begins because I am left WITHOUT A BED. They tell me to contact the store and my sales person to handle this situation. The moment they left I made calls, I have been getting the run around since and still am waiting on a resolution. The 27th was a Wednesday, so when I called I talked to a manger who was very rude and seemed bothered and annoyed to even be dealing with me. She had zero answers for me, so she said she was putting in a message for her boss to call me back THAT DAY. Well it is now Monday the following week and still had yet to hear from someone. So I call back, continue to get the run around, no one will take responsibility for their faults. And STILL HAVE NO SOLUTION. Remind you I have been without a bed this entire time, and they see this is no big deal. The conversation ended with they would have answers for me in the next 24 hours. SO IF YOU ARE THINKING OF BUYING ANYTHING HERE GO ELSEWHERE. ANYTHING WILL BE BETTER THAN THIS. UPDATE: The manger actually called back this time within a half hour. His resolution was that they ordered the missing the parts and they would be delivered to my house, then from there I would have to call and set up a time for them to come out and finish the bed. He had no time frame on long any of this could take. Could be up to a couple months before this would be all done and taken care of. Obviously not happy with being without a bed, for who even knows how long still, when I should've had it almost a week ago now. The manger told me he doesn't know what else I want him to do, he did anything he possibly could. He told me I take this result or they come pick up the bed. So I finally had enough and told them to come pick up the bed and just refund me my money. And he seemed completely fine with losing a customer and a sale. Ashley Furniture Homestore in Westland Michigan was excellent. They were extremely friendly and so accomodating, they even let me come in before they opened to get my order in.
