My fiancé and I recently went to this location as we were considering purchasing a couch for our home. An employee informed us that there was a sale on all items and that she could assist us. We browsed the store and were deciding between a couple of couches but were not set on buying them. The employee asked my fiancé about doing a credit check and ensured that it would be a SOFT PULL. After we left the store, we found out that it was a HARD PULL ON HIS CREDIT. This was a very deceptive move, and we did not appreciate being lied to. We decided to not buy anything that day as we were still unsure of what we wanted. A week later after finding out about this hard pull and deciding that we would not be back to this store, my fiancé gets an email that he is being sent an Ashley CREDIT CARD. During our visit at the store, there was no mention of a credit card or even opening one. The sales associate did not ask if we wanted to sign up for a credit card, she took it upon herself to open one. We did not buy furniture from there so why would we need a credit card? Beware even considering items from this store as they are very shady, unprofessional, and pushy. Even if you don't consent to a credit card, you'll end up with one anyway. Wow what an awful experience. The sales person, after much reassurance to my wife and I when we clearly asked several times that what we were buying was what we were seeing on the floor model (2 couches, a chaise and a wedge) sold us a "4-piece" sectional...once it arrived it was only 3 as it was missing the wedge connecting the two couches at an angle...easily the smallest piece of the sectional. so when we called, the sales person pointed out we signed the purchase agreement and that it was our problem that we didn't notice it was only 3 and we could buy that missing piece for $700. we don't know what we are looking at, we trusted what she said. The store manager turfed us to corporate customer service who told us they could sell it to us for 30% off which is $700...so basically same price. ultimately we had to return it which is bonkers cuz there's no way that's better for them than just selling the missing piece to us for like $250, even though I felt like it should be free considering their salesperson scammed us...they come pick it up and reimburse us. They are going to lose money over it, literally makes zero sense We also bought some couches from Gardner white and what an absolute night and day difference. I'm not sure if the delivery company is actually part of Ashely or a third party. But I will never order from Ashley furniture again. The sales team was very nice and helpful at the Westland location. Mark was great. They even got me a wheelchair because I was on crutches for an injury which made the experience much better. Delivery on the other hand was a different story! I was told 7-10 days. 26 days later my couch arrived, when they got here they took one look at the stairs (after damaging my walls to get the piece into the house) said it's late you and this looks hard - you can just call the store and pick a new piece I don't think I'll fit. So claustrophobically pushy. Went in to browse. Was happily poking around the living room furniture when we got clocked. Next thing I know we have a constant companion. I just felt like I could not breathe. I could barely discuss anything with my husband. He got tired of it and wandered to the mattresses. Furniture set to be delivered (which I took a the entire day off). After waiting a few hours which was not a big deal I get a message saying the delivery was attempted. we received the sectional and dining room table set in July that was damaged on delivery. My wife was told that she had to take delivery of the damaged items. We found out later that the reason that they were so adamant about her taking this was because they don't get paid unless they deliver the product. No we're in November 2023 and can't get anyone to come out and fix it. We were told that they were coming. They didn't show up. We paid for extended service contract still the original issues aren't fixed. The total of our bill was $7500. That was for a dining room table and a sectional with ottoman. Well, what can I say about this place!!!! I literally walked in with the intention to just look and price my very first couch. I was assisted by Brittany C. who was exceptionally amazing with her customer service skills and knowledge about the furniture. She walked around with me while giving me very detailed specifics about each piece which caught my eye. For me, this was a new experience that I had no knowledge of how to handle. She was very careful and clear on explaining the process and helping me get the best deals and offers possible. Ashley Furniture has forever lost a customer!  Before today I thought they had a good reputation for quality furniture and superb customer service. Today, that was proven to be LIES!  We ordered a recliner sofa and chair back in early January from the Warren, MI location and was told due to the pandemic it would take 8 to 12 weeks. The salesman hyped us up even more stating that the manufacturer was overseas (quality leather yadda, yadda, yadda). Even though we were disappointed, we decided to wait. We never received an update on the status during this time. So, last week (ten weeks after the order) I called for an update and was casually told the scheduled delivery was May 18th.  SAY WHAT! So, not only did they not call us, we're supposed to wait ANOTHER 6 to 8 weeks. I think not. When we go to the store to cancel, the manager makes one phone call and magically they're able to schedule delivery within 5 days. Finally, we thought we'd have our furniture. We clear out the family room and get super excited. When the driver arrives this morning, he and his partner bring in the recliner chair first. But when they return to the truck they say to my husband "Ummm...Boss (very disrespectful by the way) we have a problem".  The sofa is dark GRAY, not the brown we ordered. What makes this even more unacceptable is that when we went to the store to cancel, never once did the manager offer to accommodate us. No offer to give a discount on another set or anything!!!! We suggested that we'd even take the floor model but were told it's too popular to take it off the floor. Seriously???? Why not put the mismatch set you tried to deliver to us on the floor? Another disgusting quality I didn't appreciate from the manager is her attempt to blame the driver, warehouse, etc. You ALL represent Ashley Furniture so don't try to absolve yourself of blame! We ordered a couch with a chaise. I got a text that said that my order was ready for pickup on a specific date. We went to the warehouse to pick it up and the warehouse was closed. This was only the beginning. We finally brought the piece home and left it wrapped up for 5 days before opening because we've been renovating our house and wanted to clean before putting our new couch in the living room. We finally opened up the chaise portion and found that it was a completely different style and color, not matching the couch. We spoke with someone who said that there was absolutely nothing they could do about it and that we signed some acceptance form at the warehouse. Except we never signed any document or got a copy. The warehouse employee gave us a tablet to sign in reference to picking up the furniture, not the approval that it was right. Furthermore, the couch was wrapped up, so we couldn't even verify that it was the proper piece until getting home. All we wanted was an exchange to get the appropriate piece!! Zero stars for this HomeStore. We booked an appointment online so we could browse for a couch. We decided on one in-store and worked with a salesperson to purchase on 9/7. Our estimated receiving date, as stated on our paperwork, was 10/16. With no phone call or email to tell us if our furniture was being delivered, we attempted to call the phone number on the paperwork and online all day. We could not get anyone to answer the call. We resorted to the online chat where the customer service rep told us our estimated shipping date is 12/8. A reasonable business would contact a customer if their arrival date had changed. On top of wasting a day trying to figure out where our money went, we must go to the store to cancel our purchase. There are no excuses for poor customer service and business procedures. Avoid Ashley HomeStore! Update: We went to the store and they were able to find a way to get us our furniture by the end of the month. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE - AVOID. I bought a couch June 6 with estimated delivery July 17. 1 week before expected delivery, get delivery confirmation email and I confirm it. 4 days before delivery, I get rid of my old couch. 3 days before delivery, get delivery confirmation text and I confirm it. 2 days before delivery, get an automated call saying couch will be here between 12-3pm . THE day before, get a call saying my couch delivery is delayed by 1.5 MONTHS!!!! There is just no way this all of a sudden happened. I understand COVID creates uncertainty and would understand a delay if that was communicated with me at any point over the last 1.5 months. BUT 1 day before something is supposed to be delivered that the couch is delayed 1.5 months is a HORRIBLE experience. No awareness of a delay for the last 1.5 months is NOT ok! I would give my experience with Ashley Furniture customer service a negative 50 if I could. I wrote a review on Google talking about how poor their customer service is. I received an email responding back to that review saying that it looks like my complaint had been resolved since I mentioned and the review the name of the customer service representative that I had talked to. However, my main complaint, or at least one of them, is that every time I try to reach out to that customer service representative, or any of the other customer service representatives that sent me an email, they don't reply. These are emails that are meant to be replied to, they are not automatic messages, they don't say "do not respond to this email," they ASKED ME QUESIONS in those emails, and when I respond to those questions, they don't respond back. That is how my original issue started to begin with. A customer service representative reached out asking me TO CONFIRM I wanted to cancel my order, and I said yes. But then they never responded back to me, and they never canceled my order. So the order ended up being SHIPPED to my house and CHARGED TO MY CARD. Then I had to go through SEVERAL other customer service representatives because I was having issues returning them. NOW, someone from a different customer service department reaches out saying that this issue has been resolved, when my issue is that they won't respond to me How is my issue been resolved when they wrote respond to my emails. I would love to talk to someone who will respond to my emails and address these horrible customer service policies because I want answers about what they plan on doing to fix this issue to prevent this from happening from other people as well. What kind of policy is it to ask a client if they wish to confirm their cancellation. And then when I respond, they don't cancel the order, or send any kind of confirmation back. I even talked to an exclamation expert in their customer service department that specifically told me to email him back if I was having any issues with UPS again, which I was, I've emailed several different customer service representatives three different times asking and begging them to respond and they never did. To make a very long story short, We ordered our furniture in November and when they FINALLY delivered it, our couch was missing. They Lodelivered the wrong ottoman. We then talked to no less than 10 people to figure out how to get our missing couch and return the wrong piece. We were told we now have to take another day off of work to have the wrong ottoman returned (the delivery guys at the time of delivery would not take it back with the) and then another day for our missing couch. We still have not heard from them when we are getting our couch. It's been over two months since we originally ordered. Whatever you do, do NOT buy from this store. There are so many other stores with much better customer service. *update - nobody ever contacted us. WE contacted them MANY times. The couch was finally delivered THREE MONTHS after we purchased it and wait for it..... two of the couch cushion zippers literacy busted ONE DAY LATER. we will not be asking for help from Ashley furniture store for obvious reasons. I visited a number of furniture stores, but fell in love with a number of pieces at Ashley Furniture. I was purchasing furniture for a new construction home, including a complete living room set and three bedroom sets. I was ASSURED by the assistant store manager, Andre, that my furniture would arrive by my move-in date (7/19), minus some pieces of a bedroom set. Given his confidence and reassurance, I moved forward with the purchase on July 5th to furnish our entire home. On July 18th, I accepted a partial delivery of furniture. Since then, I have had TWO MORE partial deliveries and as of August 17th, I am still waiting to learn when the rug I purchased will be delivered. They are estimating I'll receive it sometime in SEPTEMBER. While I love the furniture I have received, sadly, I cannot recommend Ashley given my experience. read more

My first experience with ashley home store has been a horrible one. WILL NEVER RECOMMEND TO ANYONE, EVER! I walk in and ask what king bed sets do you have in stock? The employee shows me a handful and then says the one you like we can have delivered in about 7 weeks. I said that's not too bad and purchased the bed set. 24 weeks later, I have not received ONE update from Ashley. Not one call, email, anything to say there has been a delay as I'm already pass the 3.5x expectancy to delivery. Eventually I get tired of calling and only getting an automated system so I go back to the store. As they try to sell me something else I immediately tell them I already have a order that I've been waiting on forever. I need an update. The man points me to the help desk and the lady says everything, but your slats are in stock so we're waiting on those to schedule delivery. I responded with I'm ordering a powerbase for the bed so the slats aren't needed immediately. You can deliver everything else (king bed frame, nightstand, dresser, chest, etc) and just contact me when the slats come in. She says the earliest availability is in 5 days, I take it. They then contact me 6x in 24 hours to confirm delivery the weekend before the delivery. I confirm delivery multiple times. On delivery day, I'm up at 7am waiting for Ashley to come. As hours go by and I do not hear from them, the track my truck button is not working, I call them at the end of the delivery window. After getting the run around for 15 minutes I eventually get to a young man who tells me none of my items are even in stock yet and aren't expected to be for another week! I tell him I was just in store last week and they told me face to face that everything but the slats were in stock. He said that is incorrect. When were y'all going to tell me you weren't coming for my appointment? You contacted me 6x over the weekend and didn't think to mention any of this!? He said I thought the store would have told you ... Another 2 weeks have gone by and guess what, still no updates. This review is for the delivery team and their crappy communication. May 07 - I choose my delivery date. May 16 - I confirm my delivery and am given an estimated time of delivery. May 19 - I confirm delivery once again and am provided a tracking link. May 19 - delivery day. Delivery day is where everything went to crap. Started off with an estimated time for delivery between 1:30-4:30pm. After a few hours, it changed to somewhere around 7pm, per their tracking link. It changed a few more times after that and kept getting later and later. I spoke with someone to make sure it'd be delivered that day and he informed me it would be, and if not, it'd be delivered the next day guaranteed. Excellent. Shortly after hanging up, I called back to see how late they make deliveries and was told as late as midnight sometimes. Excellent again since I'm usually up that late anyways. 11:30pm rolls around, no delivery still, no phone call from the delivery guys letting me know they wouldn't make it. Just nothing May 20 - "delivery day" again. Spoke with two more people (we're now at 5 people in just 24 hours) and was first told that they'd reach out to the delivery team to have it rescheduled for delivery today, but when I called back after not receiving an update 40 minutes later, I was told that the delivery team actually cancelled my order last night. Just flat out cancelled. They didn't put in any notes or any reason why. I now have to wait until JUNE 2 to have my MAY 19 delivery redelivered. That makes absolutely no sense. If it was ready to be dropped off on May 19, why would I have to wait two more weeks? Why are they not picking up where they left off with the previous days deliveries? They clearly overbook and say screw it to the last ones they can't make it to. The last person I talked to this morning said I would be refunded the delivery fee, but that was it. I'm currently waiting for a phone call from their supervisor to argue this even further. I'm now going to be out three days of work waiting for this delivery that still doesn't seem guaranteed at this point. We order a piece of furniture it took four months for delivery. Day of delivery wrong color was noted. Delivery driver stated sometimes it looks different in showroom. Well maybe after four months it was the items ordered. Questioning not five minutes after drivers left we realized it was not the color ordered. We went to store found it was ordered incorrectly which would void our contract. They attempt to to rectifier stating they would reorder it the next day. No order placed or found in system. I wish I had read the reviews before we bought a couch here! We were told our couch would be delivered within 8 weeks, and received a set delivery time on a certain day. We made arrangements. We called to confirm and they had changed the day to a time we'd be out of town, but we were assured it could be pushed back a couple days. That delivery day rolled around and nothing. We called and they said they gave our couch to someone else and we'd have to wait 3 more MONTHS to receive it. Obviously, if we were told that was the case we would've had someone come let them in while we were out of town but they told us pushing back a couple days was no problem. Alert : Worst customer service If you buy any furniture from this store and after delivery they don't want to listen to customer and when you go to talk to them (especially sore manager KiKi )they will tell you to get out from the store . Sales person KIJANA ROBERT mislead you the time you buy furniture .he told that this product has warranty but once it deliver there is No warranty on it.
