I am willing to give what little credit is due from my experience at this store. Shopping in store and ordering our furniture was a great experience, but that is where the positive part of our experience ends. We ordered our furniture on July 6th and worked with the store manager, we were told the furniture should be to the Westland store by July 11th or12th and could be delivered anytime after that. We ordered things that were in stock, no custom pieces were ordered. Well, those dates came and went and we hadn't heard anything from the store so we decided to call a week after it was originally suppose to be there since we STILL hadn't gotten any sort of phone call (whether that be telling us it was going to be late or that it was actually in warehouse.) When I called, I was informed that our furniture would not be at the store until July 31st at the earliest but no later than August 1st. While I understand things get delayed, a customer should not have to seek that information out. August 1st came and we still had not heard from the store...so we call again. We were informed that our furniture was delayed yet again, and would not be there until Saturday August 4th. At this point the earliest it could get deliver was Wednesday the 8th, and we arranged to receive it Friday the 10th. Friday comes around and thankfully they arrived towards the beginning of our delivery window, the bedroom set we ordered is absolutely beautiful. They start unwrapping the couch and the first piece is wrong, luckily it was the only piece that was wrong. The incorrect piece was not the same couch in a different color, it was a gray leather piece while the couch we ordered was fabric and cream colored. It's noted on the sign off sheet and we were told we would hear back from them by the end of the day about what happened and when we would be getting the correct piece. SHOCKINGLY, we never heard from them and had to contact them yet again. I called the store Saturday afternoon, talked to a woman, and she said she had to talk to her supervisor but she would call me back shortly. SHE NEVER CALLED BACK! Monday comes around, my boyfriend calls the store (since they can't seem to make outgoing phone calls) and they tell us we won't be able to get the correct piece until AUGUST 27TH and that they need approval from corporate to compensate us in any sort of way for the many mistakes that they have made. When a company makes a mistake they should do everything in their power to correct the mistake ASAP. There is no reason it should take almost 4 additional weeks to get a piece that is in stock to the home of a customer where it should already be in the first place. Here we are, almost 7 weeks after we ordered our furniture and we still don't have it all.
I love the furniture we got from this store, but the experience with the people that work there has turned into an absolute nightmare. read more
