DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! The store in Sterling, VA over promises and under delivers. I waited 3 weeks to get my couch, and when it arrived the delivery guys break one piece. I speak to the Super rude customer service rep who tells me that it will take 2 weeks to get the part to me. Her manager calls me and tells me that she will VIP the missing part and could have it to me within 2 days. I call back today and the customer care person tells me that it won't be delivered until Tuesday (another day without pay), I tell her what her manager said, and she tells me that the manager will call me back. The manager calls me back and tells me that it won't be here for two weeks, which is 12 days longer than what she originally told me. So now I wont have a complete sectional couch for 5 total weeks. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM! SCAM ARTIST! read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE. It was impossible to get a sales associates help. Once we did we were inundated with desperate sales pitches for beds we told them we didn't want, couldn't afford, and they didn't have in stock. After hours of haggling about the bed we already decided we wanted, it took over a half an hour to for them to check us out which included a very heated screaming match between the cashiers and the sales associates. When the bed was finally delivered two weeks later it was severely damaged and it took us over an hour to convince them to send us the undamaged bed we had paid for. We had to take off of work again and beg for a new delivery window that we could actually make. Four hours after the beginning of the promised 3 hour delivery window we are still waiting for our bed. WARNING: Every Ashley store I've been to has refused to give cash back or refunds on any of their faulty products only useless "Ashley Cash." Ashley stores are a waste of time, money, and energy. read more

Ummm can this be a negative 100 on customer service, quality and actually giving a hoot about their customers at all? If I could give this place a negative, I totally would. These guys are playing some sick games and I have no idea how they are still open....they wont be for long with the reviews that I am seeing. They dont care about their miserable jobs so they give the most nasty customer service ever and on top of all that they are not even honest with the customers. They are nice till they get your money and after that, they stop existing in general. To this day we havent gotten our furniture that we ordered 3 months ago. The first delivery, our stuff was all smashed and damaged and now they have a new game of not delivering at all. I have basically told everyone I love and care about NOT to go here if you care about your stuff, time and money!!! The managers and everyone here takes this for a joke but I bet they'd care once they see how much the reviews matter, how much the sales have gone down and how their jobs have disappeared along with their customer service. These guys are just hanging on by a thread right now. Dont go here or support these ignorant people!!!! You will so regret it IF you shop here. Awful and disgusting experience!!!!!!! read more

Great selection of furniture. We found exactly the pieces we wanted on January 26th. We didn't buy them at this store. After we found what we wanted we had to deal with a salesperson. It was all about getting the sale with no customer service or consideration for the customer. We could not get answers to our questions. "I will write the order up now." No, we can't do that." "NO." "NO." "No." "I am writing up the order." "No." "I will check on that" but didn't have time. "No, etc." My wife and I left the store without buying anything. We will never go back. read more

If I could give them 0 stars, I would. We made a large purchase at Ashley Furniture at Dulles Crossing/Sterling in late August 2018. We completed an application to finance it at 0% same as a cash for 12 months. We paid a small deposit and scheduled delivery. Delivery itself took several weeks. They were waiting for all the pieces to arrive. We had no furniture at all - sleeping on air mattresses. We convinced them to split the shipment. Good thing we did. The very last item arrive in mid November 2018! They said that we would receive an invoice from the financing company. A month later we had not received an invoice. I had to personally go to the store twice to check on the invoice because no one answers the phone. I left several messages and never heard back from anyone. Finally, over the holidays, we receive a phone call from the financing company. They tell us that we are financing X amount over 5 years at a 24.99% interest. We told them that this is not what we agreed to and would have never made the purchase if that was the case. The financing company called Ashley Furniture. They could not find the paperwork. All we had was the receipt from the deposit and the order. They never gave us a copy of the financing papers and they either lost it or sent the wrong agreement to the financing company. We were livid. Heed this warning....steer clear of Ashley Furniture Dulles/Sterling. This is the worst customer service/customer care (don't care is more like it). And if you must use them, get everything in writing and plan on making several trips to the store to communicate anything to them. read more

never shop at ashley furniture i have the worst experience just like everyone else in this yelp review. i bought our furniture 3 weeks even before we close the house that we just bought. they said my delivery will be week of june 7th. i called them that week because i did not get any update and they told me the delivery is now june 19. i was very disappointed and all they said was "there is nothing we can do. things happen" . i really dont know where theri customer service is. i feel like all they want is money. so i stayed patient cause just like what they always say, nothing they can do. june 19, delivery came and the couch is damaged! i really really don't know how i will feel and after talking to customer service, there still nothing they can do and will reorder it meaning i will have to wait for it again. please don't shop at this store. they will only make you upset and disappointed instead of being happy customer. listen to the reviews. they are nothing but the truth about ashley! read more

I'd like to start by saying that Ashley Furniture has lovely furniture and I have experienced nice people working at the desk and the sells people. On or about May 25 I came in to get a kitchen set. They advised me that the delivery scheduler would contact me as to when my date would be. They contacted me and told me my date would be today, June 18, 2019(which was just shy of a month). Ok no problem. Today comes and two guys start to bring the furniture in. Mind you know two days before they called and said everything was loaded and they would be here at a certain time. They get here and two guys come in. One carrying one piece and another carrying another. I hear one guy on the phone and long story short all my pieces to my table are not here. He hands me the phone to customer service only for them to tell me they will be back tomorrow. Problem 1, the times that the delivery people during the week are working hours and I had to take off from work and will have to take off AGAIN tomorrow and this is UNACCEPTABLE. Problem 2, this is the second time this has happened being last year they did the same thing with my bedroom set and they left the mattress in which I had to sleep on for almost a month with no bed frame. I am NOT a happy customer and after this delivery I will NOT be shopping here again. I will be missing work for two days and I am not happy. I would expect my delivery fee be returned to my credit card. Makes me angry that you spend all this money and you cant get your product when it's due. Thank you read more

TERRIBLE! There is no leadership in this store. Dealing with the 'manager' Keavis is a joke. Amazing how some people get into management roles..We have been told 3 times now that he is going to call us with the status of our furniture. We have not heard anything from him. We were told 2 weeks for furniture delivery. Going on week 5 and nobody can provide any solution or update. Will not buy from here again. read more

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID. I purchased a right facing sectional and a left facing was delivered twice even though I tried reaching back before the delivery and the sales person assured me that he had my order the right way. Anyway, after 2 wrong deliveries and the fact that I was completely ignored by the salesman, I cancel my order on Oct 30. On that day, Dan(manager) assured me that he had processed the refund and that he was gonna call me. On November 10, I went back to the store to check on the status of my refund and nothing was processed. Do not go to this store. I have never experienced a customer service this low. to get my money back, I have to dispute the charges from my credit card company. They are deliberately making it hard to get my money and also they are bunch of liers read more

The salesperson lied, stating I needed to buy the base (foundation) for the mattress we bought or the warranty would be invalid. To make matters worse, all of the ones they showed us were actual bed platforms. We got box springs with no rails...so the box springs were just sitting on the floor. It took two months to get a refund for the box springs. Customer service was constantly confused. Most of that two months was spent convincing them I wanted to keep the mattress and return the box springs, not the other way around. On 4 occasions, they said they would call back within the hour and provide resolution. The calls never came. I eventually got a refund, but this was the most painful shopping experience in years and I will not shop there again. read more

got our Furniture . That's all I'm happy about ... Had to work for it Though, let me explain the situation. Delivery guy came . He was very nice . Showed him were I wanted everything in The basement, he says , there is no door to get down here.... I say look at my contract says Furniture needs to be disassembled before and reassembles after, we payed extra.... He says ok we will do it. Next I get a call from the distribution center telling me I have to refuse the delivery and they will come back next week cause they don't have the tool .... No! , unacceptable . so now I got really mad with the guy on the phone and persisted this needs to be done today and that he get the tool needed cause its going to be today not next week. Thank goodness for my wife's idea , she told the delivery guy to go to home depot and get the tool he needed, and he did ! Came back and in an hour it was in our basement put together and we were happy. Now I did talk to the store manager about this and asked why the distribution center did not know it needed to be took a part and put back together . And he actually told me he was calling the center and finding out what happened cause he pulled up the contract and sure enough it says it. The delivery driver was very nice and wanted to do everything possible to make us happy. He deserves 5 stars. Im only giving two stars because i have my furniture, and the guy who called me and told me to refuse the delivery did not think about the situation because he was telling me my contract was not what he had ... all they needed was a tool and he wanted me to refuse the delivery and come back a week later , after waiting a month for delivery, this was not the answer. They need to work on communication ! And fix mistakes not let the customer wait longer. Thanks goodness home depot was pretty close to our house . It just took a lot of peristance on my part to get what we needed done. They need to work on communication ! i Should not be getting a call on Delivery day to refuse it because of there mistake. I demanded it be fixed and that worked . read more

I bought a sofa that didn't end up fitting through the door jamb of my basement stairs. My fault, didn't even think of measuring it. Went back to the store and sat down with a manager WITH the measurements of my door. We picked something out, he said there would be a 30% restocking fee. Ended up cutting it to 15%, which I thought was nice. Picked out a new sofa, and he didn't charge me for repeat delivery. Second sofa comes. Guess what? Doesn't fit. Now, they want to charge me ANOTHER restocking fee! Granted they would cut it in half for me again, it's still ridiculous. AND they would charge me to have it picked up. I could drive it out to the distribution center in Fredericksburg to avoid that charge. All in all, I spent $1800 the first time round, and at the end of it would receive about $750 back. Talked to a sales manager, and store manager. Trying to work my way up the chain, but it's nearly impossible to get in touch with anyone. read more

Ashley stores may offer different prices for the same item and do not give written quotes. My experience with ashley furniture sterling is great. First i started negotiating with salesman spencer, after sometime salesman went and came with Manager Christian. This manager is very nice, he gave good deal on bedroom set, dining set & living room set. My living room furniture had minor defects, ashley delivery company agreed to replace the living room furniture. Somehow i was not satisfied with living room furniture, i approached salesman christine on this. In few minutes he agreed to return the furniture and reselect another couch. I still have to buy some more furniture, i am happy to go back to ashley sterling to get better deal. read more

This store is 100 times better than the one I dealt with in Cincinnati. Customer Service is valued here. Victoria called to schedule my furniture delivery. She was amazing. Sterling Store is unresponsive. Items paid for were not delivered (mattress). We actually had to go to the store again to get any level of response (multiple calls over the course of two days went unanswered - that's right - no one answered the phone...) We asked what the status was of the other part of our order was and the response back was "sometime next week" - which is a non answer, even if the answer were mostly true. So we canceled the rest of the order - to which someone sitting at a desk in the store starting chiming the words "Contract." Well, I'll submit that a transaction with a price, goods exchanged and a committed delivery date is indeed a contract. We did our part. Ashley did not do theirs. We are likewise now declining the open ended suggestion (can't even call it an offer) of "sometime next week." - And it's because of the lack of response & poor service that we're declining the items and canceling. The store made no effort whatsoever to let us know there was a problem, made no effort to reach out to us either by phone or email, and THEN we went to the store we couldn't even get any kind of commitment from them on when they'd have the item or when it might be delivered. Ridiculous. So we canceled and have already made arrangements that will show up tomorrow. This is all on Ashley and this instance of bad service. Not on us, who are the customer, who had paid in full. And when this all goes to court we will absolutely be ready with all documentation, step by step. But for those of you about to make a purchase - is this what you want to deal with? That same day we also went to Haverty's for a bedroom set and our bedroom set showed up, on time, was a good deal AND we got a follow up email from the salesman to make sure everything went as planned. That's how a sale is supposed to go. read more

I recently bought a bed from Ashley and they scheduled for a delivery today. But unfortunately the delivery didnt have all the parts so we declined the delivery. These are things that went wrong: 1) The delivery people didnt even care to put the bed and box spring in place. 2) When i called ashley about this they are talking as if they are doing a favor to us by scheduling a second time delivery. The manager of the store Mary cannot even guarantee a proper delivery the second time. She said she can give 90% guarantee of a delivery. I dont understand what kind of store they are running if they cannot guarantee 100% of a product they are selling. I decided that i wont buy a product from a store that doesnt give 100% guarantee and dont understand why they keep Managers who cannot commit to their customers. I wouldnt recommend anyone to this store read more

I wish i can give -negative stars, we buy 2 sofa +1 loveseat and couple of mirror Dresser from there on first week of feb they promise they will deliver by 2/28. Did not happen we went back for inquiry they ready to deliver 2 sofa on 7th March and loveseat latter date. Real saga begin on day of delivery they deliver both sofa with visible defects, my wife refuse to take delivery because of it. The delivery guys says they can not take back sofa and right away connect to lady on phone name STEPHANIE WILLIAMS, she insure that delivery man can not take furniture back and the Process is to have Technician from Service Department will arrange call. No one return the call after couple of call and multiple pic of damage sofa. Next day gentlemen Dwan Thompson call and ask to send us pic again and told we have to wait 8-9 days before they can come home and try to fix the damage sofa. Now as they will not replace the damage sofa they deliver to us but try to fix it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so we got refurbish sofa for price of new one and they also sold warranty for $400 saying if anything got wrong they will replace. However they are not even return phone call (even after 48 hours) to replace defective sofa they deliver in first place. read more

The store was nice. But there biggest complaint is delivery. They use the lowest bidder and they are the worst. They don't show up around the time they are not scheduled and threatened me that I might not receive my furniture for another week unless I rush home with in a 30 minute time frame. I hope everyone reads how piss poor of a delivery service they have. Literally the worst. I will never shop here again and others complained about the SAME issue. I really wish I would of paid attention to the other complaints. read more

FYI: Avoid Ashley Homestore unless you want to be lied to (by 3+ weeks) about the potential delivery date, sit on the floor because you have no furniture, and have your money held hostage. No one at the store can help me, and no one at the number they gave me to call can help. Apparently their "no cancellation/no refund" policy is strictly enforced even when the false information you were given is the only reason you made said purchase. Extremely disappointed in our first Ashley experience and we won't be back. I'll gladly take my business where we will be given accurate information and where they stand behind their products. Kevis and Jacob (Jake) just want to take advantage of their customers and steal and lie. This store lacks communication and customer service skills. I am still waiting to hear back from the store manager after I didn't receive all my furniture on it's scheduled delivery date. I just wanted to buy a pillow. I had bought a pillow from Ashley previously but it was causing me neck pain so I wanted to find another. I was running some after work errands I stopped in at the Ashley Homestore in Sterling to check out the different pillows available. Several sales people attempted to engage me at the door but I was making a beeline to the mattress department, knowing this is where the pillows are kept. One woman was apparently very intent on getting my sale advised she "had to" assist me. She let me feel a few of the display pillows. I determined the one I wanted to buy and she said she thought this was the last pillow like this in the store and she needed to check with the manager to see if I could buy it (??). She seemed to have difficulty finding a manager so she started asking me "application questions".... Lady I am here to buy a pillow. She then advised "You know this pillow is $99" I said that is fine. I have Ashley's credit and was really just wanting a good pillow to help me sleep at night. So after a few "application questions" my sales person disappears to the "back" of the store. I over heard heard one of the other co-workers advise that the manager was at the bank. So I continued to wait. Finally I decided I wasn't going to wait to spend $100 on a pillow. I don't think the sales person was really at fault and I understand furniture sales aren't the same as walking into Target to buy something but what were apparently the store policies made it really difficult to sell someone a simple pillow. Very sorry that the salesperson lost her sale but the store violated a simple rule of retail. Never make it difficult for someone to purchase a product. read more

I brought a set of sofas here for about $1800. Couple of days after that I found the very same ashley sofas for about $600 less than my price(just 2miles from this store). I contacted the store manager and they refused to cancel the order or even do a price match. I told him this was really ridiculous given that the price difference was about $600 not just $100 or $200 BUt he didn't budge. They said if were to cancel(which they said was not possible) they would charge me 30% restocking fee and a slew or other charges(delivery charge etc). I even questioned him as to how they could charge re-stocking fee when the product was not even delivered or not even a delivery date was set...but in vain. Needles to say I would never step into this store again. PLS DON'T EVER BUY AT THIS ASHLEY STORE AGAIN UNTILL YOU THROUGHLY CHECK THE PRICES OR GET A WRITTEN ASSURANCE OF PRICE MATCH. I should have read the reviews before shopping at this store. Seems like they are really really bad in the service department. I bought a coffee table set and the sale lady was real nice. While the set was on sale, I paid full delivery price for it. The firs time round, the glass came broken. They took the whole thing back. They returned about 10 days later- and this time was missing the suction pieces that ensure the glass top sticks to the base. While they called right way - she said they have to order the pieces. It could take 2 weeks. This happened about 4 days back and I am trying ever since then to get a better idea on when the parts will be delivered but now they wont even return my calls. The worst worst delivery and service. The furniture is just ok.. so don't waste your time and money here. read more

The sales staff at this store are amazing. They helped my wife pick out beautiful living and dining room furniture for our new home. I have never written a review for anyone but this time I hoping to save your time and money. I have heard buying buying furniture can be a very stressful experience. I wish I had read the reviews before going in and making a big purchase. I just moved into my house little over three weeks ago. I went into ASHLEY FURNITURE in STERLING/DULLES two weeks prior to moving into my house to purchase three bedroom sets with three King size TamperPedic mattresses. After viewing some of the items, I kindly asked:the salesman about their delivery process? Without any hesitation he replied "All of our items are in stock at our warehouse and we can have it delivered to you by Tuesday. Reminder: I went in to shop on a Sunday two weeks prior to moving into my new house and our salesman was promising to have everything delivered two days from that day. I had no doubt in my head this could be a lie and I believed him. i asked the salesman if I could have everything delivered to my new address in two weeks from now (from that day). He was like of course, we have all of the items you see in our store today in stock in our warehouse and guaranteed me it can be delivered on my requested time. After hearing this I started to pick out items that I wanted to purchase. After couple of hours spent at the store, I was told that none of the items I had picked out are in stock. Just like anyone I was annoyed and confused as I just spent two hours at a store that promised me that they have all of the items in stock and can be delivered on time. I respectfully reminded our salesman about what he promised us earlier. He replied back let me speak to my manager, "I know we have had same issues in the past where our GM approved the order and it was shipped out on the requested time". Few minutes later, their GM approached me with a smile and apologized for their mistake. He promised me and told me not to stress and allow him (GM) to stress as he will make sure to have all our items selected to be delivered on my requested time (two weeks from that day). I believed the GM and purchased three bedroom sets with three King size TamperPedic mattresses. Two weeks goes by and we move into the new house. The whole day goes by I did not receive a call to schedule my delivery. I waited till 7 PM and called the store to find out about my delivery. The store representative told me there was an error with their delivery company. I asked to speak to their GM, after speaking to him - he recognized me and reminded me again not to worry and he will have it delivered same day. Reminder I called the store at 7 PM and he is promising to have it delivered by 9 PM which is their closing time. I waited again and no one showed up or I heard anything from the store. I can not tolerate lying and wasting someones time. I was promised by their GM and my salesperson that I would receive my furniture in on the date I had requested. Next morning, I called again and the "GM" was not available all day and was told to call 1800 number to speak to their delivery company. I called the delivery company was told they have not received my order yet. I went into to the store to speak with the GM. The GM saw me and made eye contact. Guess What? he turned around and pretended to be busy. I walked over to him asked him what was going on with my order and why am I being lied to. I need my money back right now. He (GM) had this smart smirk on his face, "I apologize for everything but all of of the purchases are final and can not be returned!" It took me two additional weeks of waiting past my promised date of delivery before I received my furniture. And I had to call a manager at least once a week just to get the delivery moved up from dates that they kept pushing back. Each time I had called the GM was not available or was in his break. I feel cheated and lied to and it's a disrespectful experience to have to go through that. Let me say this again, this was one of the most excruciating experiences I've had as a customer. I will never purchase anything from Ashley Furniture ever again and I highly recommend everyone reading this to warn those close to you of how awful their customer service is. read more

Not like this review is going to impact their reputation but....... This is the worst Ashley store I've been to. My fist experience was with Sherita! This is what made me return to Ashley for furniture! Sherita is AMAZING!!! But as for the other sales people? They have no sales training whatsoever and use sleezy sales tactics to get you to buy. I was having Rafael help me with furniture and he was helpful to a degree. But for the most part couldn't answer many of my questions and had to rely on Payman.( An awesome guy to deal with) he's their regional manager. He was very helpful in assisting Rafael. True manager and was there for every customer that needed help. Told Rafael I needed to think about the purchase and he called me and offered me an awesome deal. Couldn't pass it up. Drove up immediately to get things handled. When I show up he said there was a miscommunication and he couldn't lock in that deal. Then tried anything and everything to close me. I walked out and went to Leesburg store. Not only did they honor Rafael deal he gave me a better deal. A true sales guy that did whatever he could to make a customer happy. Currently waiting on delivery. I know their delivery sucks from last experience but hey. It is what it is. They subcontract it so can't fully blame them read more

I came in to window shop on a Sunday for a TV stand. There wasn't a lot that had brackets on them to mount my TV so I decided not too purchase the stand. Wayne greeted us because he saw me and my boyfriend looking puzzled since we weren't too sure what we wanted. Since I was already there I decided to look at couches since I wanted a new one anyways and I found a leather sectional that I absolutely LOVED! It was so comfortable and had 3 colors to choose from! I chose the dark gray leather. It was only $850! I couldn't believe how much it was on sale so I decided to also look at dinning room tables as well. I found a beautiful table with 6 chairs that would fit perfect in my apartment for only $550! Everything in the store was such a great price I went ahead and placed my order with Wayne for the Couch and the Table and chairs. Less than a week and a half later I got a call that they could set up my delivery asap :) I was so happy they were so quick! The delivery drivers we're extremely polite and quick too! I am not one to write reviews. The reason I am doing so today is to save someone from having to go through what I did. I was warned about them before hand and I didn't listen, so I hope you do. The only reason I am giving them one star is because I have to AND the only good thing I can say about them is that the person who sold us the furniture was nice. After the sell they could literally give two shits about you. My husband and I have had THE WORST experience here. Their customer service is TERRIBLE. Please SAVE YOUR MONEY AND YOUR TIME and take it somewhere else. You can find better service AND FURNITURE, trust me!!! We bought a bed set AND a couch and paid good money for it. *THEY PROMISED THEY WOULD IT HAVE IN ON THE WEEK OF OUR MOVE* that was a big lie. Oh and they won't bother to call you to tell you that they won't be delivering to you on the promised day. So we sat there on delivery day waiting and they were no where to be found. WE HAD TO CALL THEM. Keep in mind, we couldn't stay in our apartment on our move in day because they never came through! When they FINALLY BROUGHT our bed set they told us they would call us an hour ahead of time, oh and did I mention the day they were coming was up in the air. THEY COULDN'T TELL US WHEN THEY COULD COME. To adjust to their incompetence I asked for an hour advanced notice because we weren't staying at our apartment and I had to work so I needed time to head over there. They called me when they were 5 minutes away. I asked why they didn't tell me ahead of time, their answer: "oh I just saw the note". Ummm great customer service guys. Once I got there they set up the bed and asked me to sign. I asked them where the couch was and they told me, "oh they didn't call you and tell you? Wow they are terrible." I had to find out from the delivery guys that our couch was not coming any time soon. When WE CALLED THE STORE TO ASK about the couch, they told us a part was missing and it wouldn't be in for another week. Why couldn't they call me with that information? I was on the phone with them two days before that and they told us EVERYTHING WAS COMING. Hmmm okay. So fast forward, the week passes and I hear nothing from them. I call again to ask about the couch and their response, "it won't be in until next week" I told the girl that they told us it would be in this week and she responded that they still didn't have the part. They couldn't even tell us what the issue was with the couch. I heard probably 3 different stories. Why couldn't they call to tell us this? IT HAS BEEN 4 WEEKS SINCE WE BOUGHT OUR FURNITURE FROM THEM. This is unacceptable. Our couch finally came in today, we've been sitting on the floor in our living room AND for the best part everyone: THEY DIDNT DELIVER WHAT WE ASKED FOR! The couch they delivered doesn't even fit in our apartment. As I was speaking to the delivery guys they said to me "how long have you been waiting for this couch? When I told them they said wow, you know they weren't going to deliver it today too. We couldn't find the other part of the couch." ****ing great!! Oh, and to put the cherry on top: the back of the couch is broken. Ashley's customer service absolutely sucks. They are terrible. We paid a full months rent and barely lived in our apartment because they couldn't come through on their word or even have the courtesy to follow up with their customers who paid a lot of money for their products. It takes 2 minutes to dial a number and say "hey, I apologize for the inconvenience but we can't deliver on this day because of this reason. This is the day it's coming in, what day would work best for you to deliver this couch?". That is customer service. The reality is stuff happens what makes the experience is the customer service. Call your customers and act like you care. They've been inconsiderate, they don't care about you or your time. Once they get your money they are pretty much done with you. Oh and don't fall for their free financing sales pitch. I've warned you. Again, I am not one to write reviews, I had have had bad experiences before and honestly I let things go a lot but this was so terrible that I had to take my time to write about my experience to benefit someone else. Please go somewhere else. Save your money and buy better furniture and receive better customer service. There is no way I'm letting my loved ones shop here. read more

THIS IS ACTUALLY A REVIEW FOR THE RAC ACCEPTANCE NOW FINANCING they offer. I purchased a couch from Ashley Home Furnishing in Dulles, VA in Aug. There was a RAC Acceptance Now payment plan that allowed me to make payments and the sales man said I could make the payments online. The couch was 638$. The promo was for 90 days and would have to have paid a final balance of 350$ or so on the last payment. I was NOT informed that I couldn't make that payment online; when I specifically asked about making online payments. I registered my account the next business day I got home. When I logged on to make the December payment is just said I owed 95$. I thought 'great!' I guess it's a good deal to pay online. But I keep having to pay this 95$ a month. There is no billing or payment history online, there is no account record online or anyway to see how long your payments are online. I called the RAC center at Ashley Home Furnishings and they were able to explain that the promo period required me to make that final payment in person. Otherwise, I keep paying the monthly payment of 95$ and I have about 10 more to pay. I was livid! I had no idea I had to make that final promo payment in person. The guy on the phone said there was nothing anyone could do. My options were to pay the entire remaining balance now, return the couch (at no charge), or continue paying. So now a 638$ couch is going to cost me $1400!!! If I could get that $800 back I would! I've reported this to the BBB and PissedConsumer.com as well. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The store itself and the couch I bought are great and I'd shop there again but I will NEVER EVER use this RAC financing again! What a scam! read more

This was absolutely the worst experience I've ever had as a consumer. The only thing that they did in a timely manner was charge our credit card as soon as we purchased. Our delivery was delayed weeks-not days, weeks. We ordered our furniture July 9th and it wasn't delivered until over a MONTH later, and all it was was two beds and a lamp set. When we would call for an update the customer service line never picks up, and when we'd call sales they'd transfer us to the voicemail of a manager who was no longer there. In addition, when we finally did receive delivery (over a MONTH after we ordered), the lamps were missing. AND the upholstered headboard we received had a stain on it. I called the warehouse to request a replacement (we paid for the warranty like fools) and he suggested soap and water. Awesome. We tried to cancel the lamps since they didn't arrive with the delivery and we'd paid for them, but no luck. When the guys came back a week later to deliver the lamps they tried to deliver two additional beds -what?? Last but not least, two days ago - a month after our delivery and over two months after our purchase- Ashley charged our credit card AGAIN for the purchase. So we were charged twice for the same purchase, and it was never resolved by them. When I called the store same thing - no one in Sales could help us and no one in Customer Service ever picked up. I finally got a hold of someone and she said they didn't see the charge, her advice was to call our credit card company. I sent her via email the billing statement from our credit card showing the identical charge and she responded again basically saying "sorry, not our problem, call your credit card company." We ended up having to cancel our credit card and file an unauthorized charge complaint. If I wasn't 8 months pregnant and working full time I would seriously devote every day to ensuring that no one ever purchased from that store again. But I'm thinking if I picketed and flyered the parking lot I might look a little crazy! :) Please don't EVER EVER purchase from this store. read more
