The woman who helped us was super friendly and helpful, while not being overbearing. I would strongly advise against purchasing a bed or adjustable base through Ashley Furniture (Sterling). Based on my experience, I simply do not trust how this store conducts business. This will be my last purchase at Ashley entirely. I made the mistake of purchasing a Stearns & Foster mattress and adjustable base from Ashley for about $4,600, on Feb 12th 2026 and I completely regret the decision. It has been a huge waste of time and disaster overall. - I should have read the reviews, many customers are having issues. Please do a simple search before you proceed with any purchases at Ashley to make an informed decision. Recommendation: If you are considering purchasing a mattress or adjustable base, I strongly recommend buying directly from the manufacturer instead of going through Ashley. In my experience, Ashley adds no value and only creates unnecessary delays and frustration when problems arise. The customer support lacks accountability, is consistently unhelpful, often rude, and resolving issues can take a month or more--if you are lucky enough to make progress at all. The problem: The adjustable base began making a loud noise when used. I reported the issue within two hours of delivery, yet it has taken over a month just to make minimal progress. During that time: - I was sent to the manufacturer three separate times, only to be told they do not produce this adjustable base and haven manufactured the base in 6+ month. - The manufacturer said Ashley incorrectly directs around 15 customers per day to them for products they do not make. - I was asked to submit photos twice because someone apparently closed the ticket without resolution. - Weeks passed without responses. - I was told an exchange ticket had been created, only to later find out that it had not. Now, after more than a month, I have been informed they will attempt to repair the base rather than replace it. This is going to waste even more hours of my time and extend the timeline by weeks/months. Best case scenario 4 additional weeks, 1-2 weeks for parts to arrive and possibly 1-2 week to schedule the tech. We originally had a good experience with this store until within 48 hours we found it the dining room table we purchased would not fit in the space; unfortunately, the store manager directed us to a table that would not fit in our space. When we called the store to cancel because they had not even set up a delivery date, they said they would not refund our money and would only give us a store credit towards buying something else; which there is no other dining room tables that were acceptable. They said it was store policy that canceling after 24 hours would only give you a credit even if the furniture was not scheduled for delivery to date. I visited this showroom yesterday with my wife and our 7-year-old son, intending to shop for furniture. From the moment we walked through the doors, the experience was incredibly uncomfortable. When we entered, a large group of sales staff (both men and women) were crowded together, busy in some sort of discussion or meeting. Instead of pausing to greet us or offer help, they looked completely uninterested in assisting us and just stared at us as if we were interrupting them. Eventually, one employee approached us, but instead of guiding us, he simply gave us brief directions to go look at the sofas by ourselves and walked away. To make matters worse, while my son was looking at the furniture, a member of the cleaning staff approached us and told me that my son was not allowed to sit on the sofas (he was simply wearing a standard raincoat and casual clothes because it was raining outside). Singling out a child in a family furniture store is completely uncalled for. We were dressed in perfectly clean, normal weekend casual wear, but we were treated as if we were an inconvenience. Because of the blatant lack of customer service, respect, and hospitality, we walked out without buying anything. We bought a recliner from Ashley in Green Bay Wisconsin. We had it less than a week. It had heat and vibration settings. With in the time it came home, it was about 5 days and the heat and the vibration didn't work. We called the store. They told my husband that it was a factory mistake and we could send the chair back and replace it with a new one. Then on another call, they told us we could bring it back and they would fix it. We don't want this chair. For the price we paid it should of lasted more than 4-5 days. Poor,Poor service. We are stuck with a POS chair and they wont do anything. Honestly, we want our money back and will go shopping someplace else and find a decent recliner. No photo's to show because the photo's will not show anything wrong. We bought 2 expensive Next-Gen DuraPella Performance Fabric Dual Power Love Seats. The one I sit on now sinks in the back corner and the power recliner notches when lowered. Out of warrantee of course. So I wanted to get the matching recliner $1,499.99 (online Price). They tout the price match thing, even in their commercials. The price match is a total sham. Basically, they will ONLY price match with Amazon (which doesn't sell that chair). You can find 50 of the same recliners with much lower prices on line, and they will not honor any of them. The Sales person at the Sterling store says they would price match, however, the places I gave them with the lower price I was told sold their Ashley made uncertified product. And they would not honor them. I called another Ashley Store. They wanted $2,000.00 for the same chair. That's $500.00 more than their on line price! I told them I found 2 other furniture companies the had the chair for $1,000.00 and $1,200.00 respectively. The sales person was rude and disrespectful. I asked to speak to her Manager, she said, and I quote; "My Manager's not here, you can deal with me." I now see why their average Yelp review is 2.5 or lower. read more

A $7,000+ purchase and our furniture delivery was cancelled and has no future delivery date. Conveniently, I cannot get a straight answer from anyone at the store or in corporate customer service. We stupidly placed two orders because we really loved (when ordering) our salesperson, Dave, and believed we would actually receive the furniture we paid for in a timely manner. Months later, we received no delivery of furniture, but were given multiple dates. It was the biggest hassle to cancel our orders and get my money back. I had to speak with numerous people over the phone and jump through hoops. Who took her time in showing me exactly what I needed. I like that she gave me space to browse without being pushy or annoying. This location has nice selection of items, better than the one close to home. However, checking online, I noticed that the prices in store is a lot higher. My sales rep, honestly stated that the store is privately owned etc. We are talking a difference in hundreds of dollars. Throughout my time at the store, I was asked by several reps if I needed help. That's good, I guess the weekend is the best time to shop. The negative reviews seem recent and I'm not sure if I'm gonna order, plus the delays with shipping due to the pandemic seems a little longer than usual. My review is based on my experience today with trying to purchase two nightstands. I spotted two nightstands during a recent store visit. After returning home to ensure they worked, I called Ashley to do a purchase over the phone. The online price was $830 and the in-store price would have been $920. I asked if they could price match (as they've done that doing a separate purchase for me not too long ago). The salesperson was nice enough to "check with the manager" on the price matching. After returning to the call, I was told the manager said "we can't price match". While this may not seem like a huge deal, it did not sit too well with my "do-good" attitude. Sadly, I informed the salesperson that it was a deal breaker because I would also have to pay delivery (you're also not allowed to pick it up yourself). It's all about concept. Stay away from this store! They engage in deceptive and harmful tactics. To obtain interest-free financing, the personnel make you sign up for electronic billing. Then, after the first month of not receiving a bill electronically or by mail, they report your account as delinquent. When I called to find out where the bill was, they admit their error and refuse but refuse to recall the late fees and delinquency reported to the credit bureau. It is just not worth dealing with untrustworthy companies like this!
