Beware of buying your furniture at Ashley. This is one of three tears that developed in the sofa within the first 18 months.
    John S.

Beware of buying your furniture at Ashley. We bought this sofa during the lockdown and had to wait months for it to arrive. When it did, it had two armrests for the left side and we had to wait another month and a half have the correct armrest arrive. Within the first year, tears in the fabric started to develop. And the first was in an area that was not readily visible, so I ignored it, knowing how long it took to get the sofa. That was a mistake. By the time this tear in the head rest began to develop. It was beyond one year, and there was no warranty. When we were purchasing the sofa, the additional #Warranty was pitched as being pet protection., Which we did not need, so it was not purchased. When I called Customer Service and showed them the multiple areas, a failure in the upholstery, they did nothing! As we have a love seat of the same design, that as you've been use the same way, there is no problems with the loveseat only with the sofa it is obvious manufacturing failure. When I made mention that I didn't have the extended warranty because it was positioned as a "pet protection" plan, I was pooh-poohed, and the matter was dismissed on their side. I normally wouldn't go to the extent to posting a review, but I'm so disheartened by their lack of customer care, and what is obviously a manufacturing failure. I wouldn't work with these people again, I would pay for quality furniture from the boulevard.

Sales rep Vivian and hubby shopping!

We randomly came into this Ashley furniture and we're pleasantly surprised. Vivian, the sales rep, took such great care of us and the new manager. Adrianne did a spectacular job. I was scared because I had seen previous reviews but there are new owners here and really how to turn this place around. He definitely will be back.

BUYER BEWARE!!!! We purchased a dining room set from here for our vacation home and have had it six months. Haven't even used the table and we noticed that the table top where the laminate had been seamed together is peeling up and separating from the wood underneath. We were told we had a year warranty. We notified Ashley, sent photos, had an appointment set for someone to come look at it. The day of appointment no one showed up. When we called we were told that the table couldn't be repaired so they cancelled our appointment but forgot to call and notify us. They insisted the top was peeling due to our negligence and told us the warranty would not apply. If someone would have come to look at the table they would have seen that it is clearly a manufacturer default. Ashley does not stand behind their product or their warranty. Since posting this review, Ashley Furniture called to say they had looked at the photos we sent them again and would like to set up another appointment to have someone look at our table. Again, no one showed up for the appointment and no one called. Poor customer service!!

    Sinking cushion

Bought my couch approx. 4 months ago. Right away I noticed when sitting on the center cushion you sank to the bottom the sides come up around you. As time goes on all my cushions are caving in and I am very frustrated. Each time they send me a new cushion it does the same thing. The tech's are baffled They clearly see what is happening but it's out of their hands. I have been patient They said they were going to do something about it this next time. And then they tell me they're sending me yet another cushion. I went into the store, up until now everybody has been doing what they can to get this cleared up. But there happened to be the regional manager there and he tried to convince me this was normal because it's ultra plush. I am not an idiot I know what ultra plush or cheap cushions put on a $2,500 couch is not normal and I want my couch replaced. I had a low couch The reason I purchased this couch because it was not low. But the cushions cave in so much It's like getting up out of my old couch. Super frustrated. When every cushion sinks to the bottom it's common sense that it's the platform not the cushion. Even the couch in the store is different from the first time that I sat on it. They're charging top dollar for horrible quality on my couch. And if their ultra plush makes you feel like your couch is 10 years old when there's me and my husband after only 4 months I don't want your ultra plush It is crap. I do want to say my sales rep and the manager of the store have been nothing but helpful. It's Ashley company that sucks. Even the tech"s were amazing. The first time they came the experienced gentleman that was training told me that he thought I was one of those women and then sat on my cushion and said whoa there's definitely something up. And it's been the same for the next three. It took me years to find the couch that I loved and now I just want to take it to the dumps. Update: they have offered me new firmer cushions, but not the centerpiece. If I choose a new couch I was told I would have to pay $200 shipping and if I chose the same couch They will give me no warranty. They sell me a couch which they did not know had The new prototype cushions which they said they were sorry, because they are not good. They say their new cushions are firmer and better but won't warranty a new couch for me because I want the same couch. I do not want to have to go to Vegas to choose another couch because St George location doesn't have a good selection. Still so unhappy with Ashley furniture company.

We are beyond happy and are very appreciative of the manager and stores effort to ensure a positive outcome. Thank you Designer Furniture Gallery for standing tall and responding with integrity!!

This review is a tough one. After spending a significant amount of time visiting multiple furniture…read morestores as well as exploring a few internet websites (If you don't have to, never buy online. If you can't see, touch and/or sit on it, most likely, it won't be what you think or were led to believe it should have been. Just say'n.) I went to Designer Furniture Gallery on June 25th, 2025. Met with a very professional saleswoman, Heidi, and spent probably a couple of hours looking around and finally decided on a very nice, uptown, expensive set of furniture: Southern Motion's Westchester Collection. All Zero Gravity Recliners (which are very cool, BTW,) power head and footrests as well as USB-C ports. The sofa, loveseat and chair were all upholstered in semi-aniline, top grain leather. Not wanting to live in the danger zone, I felt the need to purchase the 5-year combo policy for an additional $600 plus a little extra for the White Glove Delivery Service which led me to believe that Heidi was exceptionally skilled in performing precision wallet biopsies. Haha, jk Heidi. All said and done, the total was.... a lot. I left feeling well taken care of and since the furniture was a custom order, the delivery time would end up being 6 weeks, August 13th. The delivery guys were exceptionally professional, arrived on time and when setting up the furniture, we noticed a few of the manufacture defect concerns, which they took pictures of and said they would show their boss. That night I decided to apply a coat of Leather Honey Conditioner and protectant to all three pieces, and when you do that process, you'll be examining every inch of the furniture. While doing that, I found several more manufacturers' defects, took pictures and sent them to Designer Furniture. I later received a call from Devin, (I never did know what his actual title was) who also was very professional and came to the house to evaluate the defects (check out the exceptional work Southern Motion will proudly work overtime, take 6 weeks and a boatload of your money to do for you too, simply for the asking, in my post pics.) I never received a call from the Designer Furniture Gallery store manager, which was disappointing! Probably too busy counting his money and couldn't take the time to discuss the paying customer's legitimate complaints; not much of a "professional" IMHO. Devin mostly stayed in touch and took my calls when there were lengthy periods of "crickets." Obviously, Southern Motion didn't seem to want to discuss their fantastic, epic, Quality Control failures either, so I never received a customer service call from that ignominious excuse for a furniture company either. Finally, September 11th, 2025, approximately 4 weeks later and after I had reached out several times attempting to get some resolution, I was told there were 3 options: 1. Send all the pieces back and have them fixed. (I had already sold the furniture I was replacing, so I guess we could sit on milk crates for another 6 weeks or so.) 2. Send the defective pieces back a few at a time (lol, can you even imagine doing that?) and 3. A partial refund. Sadly enough, the partial refund seemed to be the only feasible alternative in lieu of professional grade work and customer service. (Southern Motion, when I review them, will be getting a neg 11 Stars.) What was supposed to be an ooh ahh moment turned into a disappointing O.M.G! Experience. As far as I'm concerned, neither company puts customer service very high on their priority list and reading some of the other reviews, it's apparent. It just might be a good idea when out driving around looking for furniture, to just keep driving.

This was going to be a good experience, right? When I went in, the consignment lady was so rude when I asked a few more questions and kept saying, "Well you didn't talk to me about this! I don't answer the phones on Saturday." Dropped off several things, she rejected almost all of them. I hope the 1 or 2 items she kept sell quickly, as I will never do business with her again.

I do not live locally and was only in town for a short period of time handling the estate, so timing and communication were important. The home contains quality furnishings, including a Taylor King sectional, a custom Vanguard dresser, a large Restoration Hardware rug, and other high-end items. After nearly three weeks of back-and-forth communication, they finally were going to come out on March 13 and picked up only two items--a sideboard and a rug. To my surprise, after our conversation with the driver on his way, they then declined the rug. I decided to tell him not to even come, and I would not be doing business with them and that their business structure was extremely unprofessional and excruciatingly painful to deal with. During prior communication, they asked what price I hoped to get for the rug. I suggested $800 for a $3000 rug as a starting point, fully acknowledging that I did not expect to recover what I originally paid. I specifically asked for their professional input since this is their business and they know the resale market. Instead of providing guidance, I was simply told my price "wasn't their happy price." That was the extent of the explanation. The entire process was unnecessarily frustrating. Communication is routed through a receptionist who acts as a gatekeeper, making it impossible to speak directly with the person actually making the consignment decisions. Everything is filtered through short emails or secondhand messages, which creates confusion and delays. For a business that relies on consignors bringing them quality merchandise, the lack of transparency, poor communication, and inefficient process is surprising. Clearing out an estate is already difficult, and this experience only made it more frustrating. I would not recommend working with this company. Their communication structure and overall business approach are not consumer-friendly.
