We went in to look for a living room set and no one would help. The manager was not even interested in talking to us nor any of the salesman. All they all wanted to talk about is lunch and what dinner plans were. I can honestly say I will never spend my hard earned money there or walk in that store or any of their stores ever again. The only reason I'm giving one star is because there is no option for zero stars. read more

I purchased a mattress, foundation and frame in Aug. 2019 for my 95 year old mother and 93 year old step father (270lbs total weight) the set was delivered and set up by Ashley. After 16 months the mattress failed so badly that it is almost impossible for them to get out of the bed!. After many phone calls and sending pictures of the conditions they sent a furniture repair company representative to my home to inspect the bed. He took more pictures and measurements and told me it was by far the worst mattress failure he had EVER SEEN! After another 4 weeks and many phone calls I was finally told that I had absolutely no recourse because the bed frame that I purchased with the set from Ashley did not have a center bar. I explained to the representative that the entire set had been purchased and set up by Ashley and HOW could i have ever known that they would sell me an inferior frame for this set?? She said she was sorry but the frame had NO warranty and they could not do anything for me Period! BEWARE! DO NOT BUY From Ashley! read more

Ordered multiple items 6 weeks ago. At the time, they said it would take 2 to 4 weeks for the items to arrive. I called the local telephone number given to us, which I believe transfers us to a nonlocal corporate number, to check the status of the order after about 3 weeks and they said 2 of the 3 items were at the local distribution center. We went to pick them up, about 20 miles away, and only one item was at the distribution center. They thought the other item would possibly arrive in a few days. We asked for the local distribution center phone number so we could call them to check on the status of orders instead of the corporate number and they would not give us their number but they did say they would try to figure out where our item is and give us a call in a few hours. They never called us. Fast forward to 6 weeks after our initial order, we have received one of the three items. Called the so-called local number again today and get transferred to a nonlocal number. They say two more weeks before our item arrives. The local telephone number does not allow any options to talk to a local person from the store where we bought our furniture. It lets you press #4 to choose to talk to a sales person but when you choose this you get redirected to the initial options of checking the status of your order with a nonlocal office. So what we thought would be a 2-4 week time frame is turning into an eight week time frame at best. Three bad experiences- 1. Local store does not give you their phone number to call and speak with them. Instead you get redirected to a nonlocal center. They also say items are 2 weeks out at best when we paid for them, maybe up to 4 weeks. Incorrect. 2. Nonlocal center tells you that item is at the local distribution center but after driving 20 miles out of your way to the local distribution center you are told that it is not there. 3. Local distribution center tells you they will give you a call in a few hours and let you know where item is or when it will arrive and they never call you. They won't give you their number so that you can check with them instead of calling the nonlocal number that gives you the wrong information. So far, the only thing they have been able to do proficiently is to accept my money. Everything else has been incompetent. read more

I purchased a sei of lamps. I will admit I was a little unhappy that the delivery time was 6-8 weeks, but agreed to these terms. Eight weeks out and still no lamps. I called to see when they were coming but there was no projected date. I canceled the items and was told that a store rep would call me in the next few days to finalize cancellation. A week later, no call. Of course no sales rep will pick up because they might miss a breathing victim walking into the store. Customer service told me if I went to the store I could get my refund. So I have to drive an hour to get my refund minus 10% because they couldn't process and deliver in 2 months? And really, 2 months? Amazon could have a nice set delivered to my home for less money in a week. People say buy local but this is why I will skip local if I can't take the item home. Hell will freeze over before I will ever walk into any Ashley store in the future. read more

This company furnished my entire home over the last few years so please know that I do not leave this review on a whim. I have had many great experiences however pandemic or no pandemic the behavior this company has exhibited this year is unacceptable. I purchased a couch and love seat to replace my current sectional. The very first issue is I had to go find someone to help me order the items. We ordered the items 09/06/20 one they told us would not be available till november but that we would be contacted by then. 10/31/20 we called the sales rep Matt to find out about our furniture. He told us the loveseat would be available 11/03/20 but the couch was on back order till 12/23/20. We asked if there was a way to get it sooner he said he would try. After severl hours we contacted him again for an update. He said he had found our couch and our total order would be available 11/03/2020. On 11/03/20 the drivers arrived with only the loveseat. I contacted Matt again. He said it was still in transit and would not be availible until 11/10/20. I will save some time and say that this continued 11/10 it was delayed till 11/13 on that day it was again delayed untill 11/19. In between here I contacted "customer service" several times. I was told a supervisor would contact me from the store and the hotline. Neither of those contacts were made. My sales rep Matt was now ignoring me. I went to facebook looking for a contact there. I joined 2 different pages with Ashley moderators to help people including an official page called "rapid response" I filed a conplaint and was given a ticket number. I waited a few days then asked how long it would take to recieve contact about my ticket. They told me 24-48 hours. 1 week after I logged the ticket was the day before my next supposed deliver date. I waited and recieved my nirmal calls and texts confirming delivery. I waited and did not get the call i got the last 3 tomes saying it was on a manufacturer hold. I was hopeful and waited on delivery day. Less than an hour before delivery time I recieved a call that it was on a hold again. What a joke I called and cancled my order today. The "supervisor" didn't offer to do anything about it gave me the same lie everyone else did that its in St. Louis waiting to be delivered. I told her that was a lie and it is not there. She told me the order would be canceled. I've missed days of work to be here for these deliveries and spent hours on hold. Their hold messege brags about the fact that they design and MANUFACTURE thier own products stock them in their own WAREHOUSE and delivery it around the world qith thier own FLEET. This means there was no middle man Ashley failed on all levels and then continues to blame another segment for the issue but all segments are owned and operated by Ashley. I have never experienced such terrible service in my life. DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY. read more

Unfortunately they give delivery dates that sound wonderful, then their products do not show on that date. They fail to call to tell you that products are not being delivered and when you call the store they are unapologetic and just say they don't know why the product is delayed nearly a month that it is just part of the manufacturing! While I understand things come up and products can be delayed their customer service and lack of communication is what I am disappointed in read more

Four years ago after weeks of shopping around for furniture for my new condo, I settled on Ashleys HomeStore on Independence because they had the most choices, great quality, reasonable prices, and a staff that made you feel welcome. My couch, loveseat, end table, coffee table, sofa table, dining room table and 4 chairs were delivered when specified and set up exactly where I wanted them. It was a total positive experience and why I returned there this week searching for a zero wall recliner. Josh was the sales person who helped me and I was surprised when he said he was so new at Ashleys that he hadn't received his business cards yet. He was knowledgeable about the product, self confident, attentive and efficient. The check out process was quick with an efficient lady at the computer, and I even had the chance to chat with Cameron, the manager, who was very helpful and eager to make sure I was happy with my purchase. Another total positive Ashley experience and a confirmation why I will go back when I need my next item!! Ginger C,. Springfield read more

I ordered a sofa and two ottomans on Mothers day. I received my sofa 3 weeks later. However, I have waited 10 weeks for my ottomans and every time I call in I get a different answer as to why they are not available for pick up. I have been hung up on 4X after holding in the cue for over 30 minutes. I feel lied to and misled in my purchase. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM ASHELY EVER AGAIN!!! Worst customer service EVER!!!! They will lie to you over the phone and right to your face. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!! read more

Great transaction with Mr. K!!!! Make sure to ask for him as he defiantly goes the extra mile to make you satisfied.

I have been meaning to write a review of this terrible store for a while about how we were treated there. So here we go. My wife and I needed a new coffee table and two end tables for our living room. This was our first slop. We were willing to spend a good chunk of money for good, quality furniture. We walked around that place and found a set we were interested in. It was fairly busy so we started looking for a salesperson. One salesperson, a lady, saw us looking for someone, but then went over to an older couple to help them. We are a younger couple so they probably thought we didn't have a whole lot of money to spend, and thought the older couple did. Ok fine, we had the wad of cash in our pockets but whatever. Then we found the only salesperson left that wasn't helping someone. This guy saw us walking toward him, we locked eyes, he looked both of us up and down, and just bee lined it out of our sight. My wife and I looked at each other and said did you just see how he looked at us. I mean he left so fast that it was like in a cartoon, when the character runs away, and leaves a cloud behind them in the shape of their body. So quick that we did not know where he even went, and he was practically right in front of us. To this day we have no idea how he disappeared so quick. So we bee lined it out the door and never returned. I guess this store is too good for our money, and the salesman that looked us up and down must make $1 million a year. Or enough money that he is too good to sell us a coffee table. The reason I remembered to write a review, about how badly we were treated, was my coworker called them to get some information about a recliner today. The girl that answered the phone was beyond rude and condescending to her. Going as far as asking my coworker if she just wanted her look up La-Z-Boy's (a competitor's) number for her in the phone book. In a way that made it sound like she (the possible future customer) was too dumb to look it up herself. My coworker hung up on her. read more

Customer service was awful. My sales man was named Jamie. He was less then enthustic, arrogant and looked as though he couldn't be bothered to help me. He looked board and like he didn't want to be there. I should have just left and come back a different day. However I needed furniture badly I had just moved to town and didn't have anything for my new house. It wasn't until he made the sale that he purked up. The piece of furniture I bought is nice looking, however already is wearing. It's only been 6 weeks! Mind you delivery took 3 weeks. Ridiculous! read more

Just bought a a couch and love seat from Billy Dillard. Was very nice and did not hover or pressure my wife and I while we walked around. He also made sure to explain every thing on the paper work as well. Didn't leave the store confused or unsure of my purchase. read more

I love their furniture and I personally have found that they stand behind there products. However, I had a very uncomfortable with a young lady at the checkout counter. She belittled our sales rep right in front of my husband, myself, and all the other people in proximity. It was very uncomfortable and uncalled for. He had spent much time with us to make us happy. It was embarrassing for everyone. I think Ashley furniture need to have some professional development hours on how to treat other in a work environment read more

After 2 short years of owning the Porter Set, the glue that holds the lower drawer mechanism together came off the frame and no longer functions. When purchasing the furniture, the salesman sold us on the 5-year protection plan, boy was that a mistake. After calling Ashley Furniture in Springfield, MO they then transferred me to GBS Protection. GBS provided no assistance on frame defects and said they only cover the finish of the product. Called Ashley Furniture in Springfield, MO again, so then they decided to transfer me to GRT (Guest Response Team). After being on hold for 25 minutes waiting to talk with a representative, I was told that the furniture is out of its 1-year manufacturers and there was nothing they were willing to do. Once again I called our local Ashley Furniture store in Springfield, MO. I asked to speak with the manager regarding their lackadaisical and irresponsible approach to customer service. I was told once again there is nothing they would do to rectify the situation. After spending $4,000 on a bedroom set, you would assume there would be some sort of customer service associated with this company. You know what they say about "assume". I guess Ashley Furniture's customer services training ends after "jump them at the door and upsell them on a useless warranty". We will now be taking our business to Havertys. read more

I would give this store zero stars if possible. They have been horrible to deal with. I had placed an order with them and they proceeded to give my order to another customer making my order incomplete and not able to deliver when specified. How do I know they gave my furniture away? They took a table from another persons order that did not need it until a later date to partially fill my order. I paid for white glove service and the furniture was delivered to my son and left in the middle of his floor. I called them back to ask that they return and assemble the furniture as promised. His headboard is still sitting unattached because he was told they don't carry the hardware to attach the headboards. I have tried several times to contact management and am instructed to leave a callback number.....do you think they return phone calls? That's a big no. Please do not waste your time with the Ashley store in Springfield, MO. Ordered from the one in Osage Beach and everything went smooth and as planned. read more

Bought furniture from here 8/11/2020 and I still have yet to receive it as of 11/10/2020. Can you believe I have not received even an email or a phone call in regards to my order in the 4 months I've been wondering where it is...? I shop with this company very often and the experience has not always been that great But I thought I liked their furniture enough to even sometimes receive things they end up having to fix later on. But this is the last straw and I do not recommend anyone shop with this company. . The people who work in this particular store is awesome and have done their best to keep me pacified but I know it's bigger than them. I have expedited my complaints to the corporate office and emailed the owners of the company regarding my experience thanks to the help of the Ashley Furniture Complaints/Issues Advocacy and Resources Group on Facebook. Again, I recommend you take your business elsewhere if you're shopping for furniture it's not worth the hassle to deal with this company. If I could give 0 stars I would. read more

We bought several pieces of furniture at Ashley's furniture and we are very pleased with our experience. We were greeted when we walked in the store and asked if they could help. We told the sales person that we were just looking at the moment and she talked to us for a bit and than went on to help some one else. She periodically checked on us but did not pressure us at all. She patiently answered all of our questions. our purchases were delivered in a timely fashion and had a couple calls from our sales person just to let us know the status on our furniture delivery. We love our furniture and we would recommend Ashley's furniture. read more

Excellent service. Was hesitant to go in based on reviews. Felt compelled to write that we had amazing service. Very knowledgeable salespeople. We worked with Jayme. Almost all of our furniture in our home is from Ashley Furniture. We love all of the pieces. After going through the process of buying two sofas at Ashley this spring, we would definitely recommend them. Our sales associate, Nichole, had the patience of a saint. To say I was an indecisive shopper, doesn't even come close to describing me. Nicole was available to answer all questions without the hovering you usually see or feel. She was respectful despite my sad yoga pants and ponytail ensemble. We had a hiccup in deliver. One piece of the sectional sofa was broken, so it took a couple weeks for that piece to be replaced, but there was no problem with them immediately offering to rectify the situation. The delivery guys were very professional and set everything up to my satisfaction. Overall, we were very happy with the sale associates, service, prices, and quality at Ashley Furniture. read more

I had such a great experience at Ashley Furniture in Springfield MO. We were remodeling, and not quite ready to purchase, but when I went in to look, I found exactly what I wanted at such a good price, I didn't want to pass it up. I was able to put very little down and put what I wanted on layaway until I was ready for it. My sales person was very helpful, as well as the cashier's when I called in to make a payment. My sales person was really good at keeping me updated when our furniture would be arriving, then we also received a follow up call, checking to make sure we were happy with the product. I would highly recommend Ashley furniture! They have a great selection at great prices, as well as a super friendly and helpful staff. I will definitely be shopping there again when the need arises. BUYER BEWARE urge people to beware of Ashley Home Stores, their business practices are questionable in so many ways. They took it upon themselves to apply for a credit card for me when I did not ask for a credit card, I was told that I could get no interest 6 months of finance and pay the remaining $698. I paid in check for the remaining price of the furniture on 1-31-19 with a delivery date of March 5th. They told me it would likely be sooner and to call back in a couple of weeks just to make sure I would have the couch delivered then they would deliver the reclining love seat when it arrived. Long story short they sold the couch and reordered and let me know due to weather the couch would not be delivered for now until 3-12-19, It was agreed that if it is not here I will need a refund, Amber promised it would be here, I have company coming the next day I told her. 3-12-19 I called 3 times and was told the delivery was on time, my delivery was 5 - 8 P.M. scheduled the day before. At 8:05 P.M. I received a call telling me the delivery ran late and I can't get a delivery tonight. I asked what time tomorrow delivery could be and he said he just could not tell me that. I have asked them to please keep their furniture and do not bother to deliver it, I will be in their store first thing tomorrow to fill out the paperwork to get my refund, which they told me as they delays continued will take 2 weeks. They were very nice in the store and the customer service was wonderful but they do not follow through. I suggest not using the store for anything because I do not know any reputable organizations that do business in this way. Especially applying for a credit card without your approval. Unless you can go pick up your furniture same day, do not expect this organization to fulfill their responsibilities. read more

I give Ashley Furniture a -0. I ordered my furniture mid May, told it would be there in 2 weeks, it came 1 month later, with damaged furniture. Couple of days ago I went to Ashley HomeStores..and have experienced one of the worst customer services that I have experienced in a long time...! First of all when I came in for a second time there to purchase my bedroom set! Right of the bat the salesperson started to bash other competetor company by saying that their quility of furniture is going to be poor and then she took the prices of that company and went to a their sales manager and then he came out and to make things worse started to say even worse things about AFW. However I told them that several company's have this set way cheaper then you and even showed a sales girl that pricing but I'm sure she didn't even wanna hear me but went on and on on how bad AFW is! And their manager said that they all have broken furniture that they buy and then fix it and then trying to sell it... and so I got tiered of listening of their b.s and left. I will never recomend this company to anyone and even to my worst enemies that way No one have to endure their sleezie, poor and notable customer service. We just moved here from out of state and have purchased 3 homes amongs our sibling and two more of my brothers are looking for 2 more homes and and so far thats over 8000sq of empty space that we would have to fill of furniture and I work for Homeland Security and see thousands of people a day and if it will come to furniture talk.. I would recommend for people to stay away from Ashley HomeStore! I wish I didn't have to give them that 1 star but this system is requesting for at least one star wich they even don't deserve read more
