DO NOT SHOP HERE!! I will never buy furniture from Ashley furniture EVER again. They delivered only half of my sofa the frame was obviously defective and had a big gap in it. Then after a week of waiting finally got a replacement still a big gap, they said there's nothing else they can do. The desk I ordered they delivered and said it's a third party so they could not assemble. When my husband went to assemble it, the desk had a crack in the side of it. One of the legs pieces came broken and the other leg had stripped screws. I called customer service and the "had" to send someone out. Week later no one shows so I call again and they give me excuse after excuse trying not to fix it! I could hear MANGERS in the background laughing as if it was a joke!!!! Still nothing resolved!! The purchasing of furniture was fine. K was great. However I am told I can pick my couch up in a week and it will take over a month to get the rest. I call in a week to arrange pick up and am told oh it will be a couple more days. I call a couple more days and now it will be 3 more days again. We went to Ashley for "reasonable priced" furniture. And let me tell you, we got nothing more that's for sure. This furniture is very low quality. You can feel the board in the back of the couch every time you sit down. The arm rests make a popping sound if you lean up against them. We decided to go to Ashley because my in laws did the same thing. And they also are very unhappy with their purchase. Get comfortable, this is going to be long... First impression of Ashley Furniture is that the experience is alot like buying a car. Salesman lined up in what they themselves call " losers row" waiting for the next person to walk in. The ONLY reason I'm giving them even 2 stars is because Greg our salesman was knowledgeable and actually seemed to want to help. But when you find the furniture that you want and discuss financing, you find out the posted prices are going up considerably... So their 0% financing actually costs several hundred dollars more than if you pay cash. My wife and I chose a $700 bed for our son that turned into a $1000 bed, and a $900 dining room set that turned into a $1300 set. We went through with it anyway... Delivery day scheduled a week later. On delivery day they were missing the rails to the bed, missing the entire sleeper sofa, 3 of the 4 table legs were damaged, and 3 of the 6 bar stools are uneven and wobbly. Delivery guys noticed that one stool didn't even have all of the screws in it. They found the correct rails for the bed and came back that night at 2130 to put the bed together. When our son sat on it, the rail disconnected and fell... It hadn't been installed correctly... The sleeper sofa could not be found. Called Ashley Furniture corporate, the store and everyone was sorry, but no one could tell us when this would be fixed. Customer service finally determined a new set of legs would be ordered for me to install and that the sleeper sofa would be delivered in another week. We received multiple confirmation calls, text messages and emails for the second delivery attempt. But two hours before the scheduled delivery time, Warran calls from local distribution center and says the sleeper sofa cannot be found. We knew this a week prior... Not new info to us... We are now being told we will have to wait three more weeks if we want the sleeper sofa. Megan who seems to be the general manager at the store has offered us a 20% discount on the table. They have now offered a 20% discount on the sleeper sofa also. Neither of these discounts even get down to the cash price if the items. And today we received a shipment of TWO table legs. Not the 4 that they claimed to be sending, or even the 3 we need to fix the table. I'm going to take time off work today and we are going to look somewhere else and possibly have them pick everything up and be done with Ashley Furniture. I hope they accept some responsibility and waive the 10% cancellation fee... I think we have made multiple attempts to have them fix this. I've been in retail since leaving The USMC and managed stores that probably did considerably more business and never seen such disorganization and putting off of blame before. Instead, I called them and waited on hold for 18 minutes only to get a human robot to tell me the same thing over and over again. When will my furniture get here? They can't tell me. If you enjoy hands on sales people then you will like it. I did not like it. We ordered a whole apartment of furniture a month ago and have not received a single piece. We are constantly having to call them and ask where our delivery is only to be told that it is not coming. We have to call! They do not provide the decent courtesies of letting us know before hand and missing a days work waiting for nothing. We will have been through this process three times now and if you need your furniture now, like we do, this is not the place to go. "Restocking, out of stock, back order" is all we have heard. Easy Breezy! My wife went shopping for a new sofa at Ashley's Homestore just before The Great Corona Virus Pandemic of 2020. Mr. "K" assisted her that day. He was extremely helpful, not aggressive, patient, and according to my wife - very "jolly"! But due to COVID19, we had to wait over a month to come back and get it. When we were finally able, we went back. Not only did they honor their original great low price, their professionalism, friendliness, and knowledge was well appreciated and quickly apparent. Kudos (& prays) to Mr. K!!! A big tip of the hat to Mr. Kevin who quoted us an offer on a new table and chairs set that we simply couldn't refuse! I upgraded a mattress I purchased there earlier on May 28 or 29th after doing their 60 day comfort trial and it hasn't been delivered as of today I called the number and the automated system said the my mattress could not be scheduled for delivery . I called the store to try to cancel my order and low and behold they tell me they have it in stock and can deliver it this next week I said it been 2 month lets just cancel and you can come pick up this mattress their reply is I can not cancel because they can not accept the mattress I have here even though I have not been able to sleep on it since I bought it. this seems to be a rip off read more

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Ashley Furniture took three months to deliver our bedroom suite piecemeal and the final item was structurally damaged. At that point, we called their GRT team on the day of delivery and told them we were done dealing with Ashley and wanted the damaged item returned and the price of the damaged item credited back to our credit card. On that first call, the GRT folks made it sound like that was doable, but their promise to contact us within 72 hours was broken. When we started calling the store, we only got an answering machine. When we went to the store in person, we were told to call the GRT folks. When we called GRT, we were told to take it up in the store. The store folks told us to call GRT and pointed out that our salesman preferred to have his guest deal with him. The salesperson (his first name starts with an "M" and rhymes with "flat") was conveniently out on his day off practically every time we called him. GRT has told us they have a NO RETURN policy. So now we've been obligated to initiate a credit card dispute. Never again will I ever set foot in an Ashley Furniture store. However, if they ever go out of business, I will postpone all other activities and park in their vacant parking lot and drink a toast to their well-deserved demise. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! They said delivery date for some of the items would be Friday and they would call for the 3 hour window, no call. Then they said Tuesday, called today, it's not in the system to be delivered !! So now they're telling g us this Friday. If it's not here Friday we are getting our money back!! Worst customer service I've ever dealt with!! I don't care how good the product is at this point it's certainly not worth the crap you have to deal with. My order will show one day it is ready for delivery and when I call I can't reach anyone or I'm told it is not in yet. The next day it shows it is not available. Horrible customer service. Where do I start? Bought my bedroom suite 16 months ago and with the sales persons suggestion we also took advantage of the extended warranty. Was sleeping and the left side of my bed collapsed. Amazed to my surprised nothing was broke. The bed literally fell apart. Quite disappointed, I first called customer service the they repeated several times the bed out of the one year warranty and referred me to the extended warranty company. They let me know they do not cover a bed falling apart. The warranty I bought was worthless. After complaining they referred me back to the store and since there was nothing broken the store would cover the repair. The representative had me tell Ashley something very specific (I do not remember what) , but the representative did not question me and set me up for an an appointment for someone to come fix my bed. The tech would call within 24 hours I was told. After 10 days I called back and spoke to a VERY rude and condescending customer service rep and he told me the ticket was closed the next day and they were not going to fix my bed. At this point, I was lied to about the warranty "covering everything", turned down by the warranty company, lied to about a repair tech calling me, and then treated like an absolute piece of trash when I was trying to figure out why I wasn't called. Any body who has only had a piece of furniture for 16 months would be highly disappointed the bed fell apart. No one has reached out to me. All I get is, your bed isn't covered. I will never buy from Ashley again and I will tell every person I meet and know about my experience. My husband and I purchased a couch and love seat from here paid in full less then a year ago and the middle of the couch has broke and still being under factory warranty we called to fix our couch as well as the love seat the recliner on left side won't open or close once it's open. Needless to say contacting customer service at this store has been the worst no one knows any time frames for any service one day we get 24 to 48 hours then call back after that and then we were told 3-5 business days for a call from someone in servicing no one ever called so we called back and was told to contact the company who sends the repair tech so we do that they say it can take 72 hours before someone contacts us to make an appointment then we will be waiting again I had to contact corporate on this store once already for the service agents hunging up on my husband this store customer service is extremely poor I will never recommend my friends and family to purchase from ashely home store ever again!!! read more

Went there for the extended payments and ended up buying a new mattress, one of Ashley's house models. All through the sales pitch of the mattresses, Nichole S., our sales person continually spoke of a 30 day trial of the mattresses. She brought this up at every mattress we tried when we debated over differing levels of firmness. We decided on one and were assured it would be ready for pick up in 3-4 days. Two weeks later I had to call both the showroom and then the warehouse to find it had not been ordered to ship. A few weeks later it arrived. We set it up and prepared to feel what we felt in the show room. It was as hard as our floor! My son jumped on it and commented it would be softer to sleep on the ground in the yard. We gave it a couple weeks and no improvement. I call the store to take advantage of the 30 day trial. Guess what? It wasn't offered on the one we picked. I spoke to several in the store and customer service and was told Nichole S. had not told us there was the 30 day trial and my only option was to.....get this...JUMP ON IT TO SOFTEN IT UP! A $1000 mattress they will not stand behind because it is vastly different from what they advertised in store and I am to JUMP ON IT to "break it in" beyond that I am out of luck and stuck with an expensive slab of concrete instead of the comfortable pillow top mattress I tried and believed I was purchasing. The mattress also arrived with the pillow top unraveling, stitching loose, a small tear in the bottom and a hole in the cardboard top of the box springs. Would not waste a single minute in that store, they will say anything to get their sale and commission. BTW Nichole S. tried to convince us she had three different living room set in her house each time we stopped to look at one. Should have trusted my guy that something was wrong. read more

We spent a significant amount of money in this store (living room, bedroom, dining nook and kitchen sets) and the process has been long, unprofessional and not worth the wait of 8-10 weeks. Yes, we cancelled our rug (of all things) because it was going to take 10 weeks to receive. We ordered one on amazon and got it in 2 days! Why spend $400 for something you won't even receive for 10 weeks?? We asked for a refund for the rug three weeks ago and have not received that either. My husband has called every week. They can never find the refund. They asked for his credit card number multiple times. The manager is always conviniently with someone no matter what time we call. The manager NEVER returns a phone call. I will never shop in this store again. And would never recommend to anyone ever. Bottom line: don't waste your time and money. read more

June 19, 2017 Purchase Salesperson: Shaleia Jennings If you check the thousands of negative reviews on line for your company, you will see that most claims on Ashley's corporate website are false, such as providing "the highest level of service at each step in the customer's shopping journey." I need to preface this complaint with a bit of our history. My husband is a 100% disabled Vietnam veteran with PTSD, among other medical issues. Our home in Bull Creek Village (Branson, MO), was flooded out April 29-30, 2017. The water came up 3 feet in our newly remodeled house, and destroyed everything, including our beloved Ashley furniture, some of which was new, and some that I've had over 25 years. Driven out of our demolished house, we were forced to live in an extended stay for 9 weeks. It was during that time we purchased another house. This house had been on the market and vacant for more than a year, but was relisted Feb. 2, 2017, after extensive remodeling had taken place, including new paint, new carpeting, and refinished wood flooring. We lost everything in the flood, so when we closed on our new home on June 30, we had nothing but the clothes on our back, 2 lawn chairs, and 2 newly-purchased inflatable air beds. On June 19, 2017 we went to Ashley HomeStore and purchased (cash) $9,332 dollars worth of furniture (dining room set, living room set, bedroom set), planning to purchase the other two bedrooms of furniture when we got settled in. Of that amount, we paid a delivery charge of over $319 and a GBS protection (warranty) charge of $469. Plus, when we bought the mattress, the lady said she'd throw in a mattress cover, but in looking at the bill just now I see I was charged for it ($89.99). We were extremely disappointed when we found out we had to wait more than a month to get it delivered, but decided to make do and live with the 2 lawn chairs and air beds until then. (Being seniors of 68 and 70 years old did not make it any easier.) For the time being, we are willing to forget about the overcharge on the bill for the mattress pad, the lateness of the delivery with the loveseat missing and backordered, the two mismatched end tables, the dining room chair that was loose and wobbling that took three months to fix, or the fireplace insert missing a part which took two months to install. What we are asking the store to do is replace the box spring, mattress and headboard that is infested with BEDBUGS! We have two official inspection reports (required by the VA loan company), stating there was no infestation problem with our new home, along with the statement of the fumigator. We have photos of the house, unoccupied, before purchase, showing that everything was clean and new. In fact, the only furniture in the house today is the new Ashley furniture, and the only room (fortunately) that is infested with bedbugs is the bedroom, and the only piece of furniture infested with bedbugs in that room is the bed. I did research, and learned that the black spots were bedbug excrement, discharged after the insects fed on human blood. I was horrified because that meant that they were feeding on my husband while he was sleeping. I went out and bought $200 worth of sprays, powders, mattress encasement bags, a shop vacuum, and got to work. I also had an exterminator come in and paid $142 to fumigate the whole house. He said that would most likely work, considering all the work I'd done, but if it didn't, then he'd charge $300 for special bedbug fumigation in just that room. Guess what, all my efforts were in vain; there are still bedbugs! I tried calling the store, and spoke to the salesperson, the customer service center, and the corporate office. I spoke to 4 different people (who would not give me their full name or even an I.D. number--looks like they've handled a few complaints before), and all I heard was: "We've never had a problem like this before..." "It is not covered under your warranty..." "We don't have bedbugs in our warehouse..." (I never mentioned anything about a warehouse.) "We don't deliver furniture with bedbugs..." "I will have our supervisor Tarja (no last name--can't give that out) call you back..." (She never did.) Any internet research will tell you this is a common problem for Ashley Furniture; in a matter of minutes I was able to pull up 6 complaints beginning in 2011 to present. This is not a new issue for them. My husband has been sleeping on the living room sofa for a week now. He says he feels like things are crawling on him when he's in the bedroom (they are!). A man who fought for our country in the jungles and swamps of Vietnam has to deal with part of the Springfield swamp. Is this how Ashley treats veterans and seniors? Does he not deserve to be able to sleep in a bed free of crawling critters--a very expensive bed at that--after all he's been through, including a purple heart for being wounded? Wow. Where do I begin. I ordered a bed frame, the process went smoothly and I was looking forward to the delivery. On the delivery day, we were given a three hour window for the expected arrival. 30 minutes to the end of the window, we hadn't heard anything, so I decided to give the store a call to check on the status. Turns out, the bed frame arrived damaged so they had to order a new one for me. I was never notified of this and wasted 3 hours of my time waiting at home for something that would never come. But mistakes happen, it was no big deal, there was another one on the way. 2 weeks later, we received the bed frame. My partner and I were leaving for vacation the next day, so we didn't plan on putting the bed together until we returned. We come back a week later, start putting the bed together, and realize we had received the wrong size footboard. Our bed was a queen, and they gave us a full sized footboard. This is where the nightmare really begins. I go into the store, explain the situation. They tell me to call their call center. I do. Call center tells me to talk to the sales associate at the store. Well, I'm already at the store. Apparently the gentleman who ordered the bed for me was on vacation, so the store told me to call back the next week when he would be back. A week passes and I call back. Now I'm told there's nothing the store can do for me since the mistake was made at the distribution center. Again I'm told to contact the call center. I do. Again I'm told there's nothing they can do for me and I have to contact the store. I call the store AGAIN. Eventually they tell me that the sales rep who sold me the bed will handle the situation. Another week passes and I don't hear anything. I call the store again and immediately ask for a manager. I'm told they don't have a manager. WHAT. At this point, I am literally begging the store to help me. What kind of business thinks it's acceptable to make their customers beg them to solve a problem THEY caused? Finally, the manager at the distribution center was contacted. I'm told the correct sized footboard will arrive on my doorstep the next morning. Nearly 3 months from the day I ordered the bed, I finally have it. I was super patient during this whole process, but towards the end I was frustrated, stressed, and appalled at the way this was handled. I work as a manager in retail myself. Salesman sold my wife the wrong slats for the bed. Can't get a refund on the wrong slats because he is off the next 2 days. Can't assemble the bed until the correct slats can be delivered. (48 business hours until scheduled) Left new mattress in living room while frame is together in bedroom. Chose Ashley because they are local and thought it would be a simple transaction. We were originally told it would be 4 weeks to get couch which we were okay with. Then when we went to sign papers we were told 8 weeks, which would have been okay, but still inconvenient, as we were moving August 1 which was 8 weeks. It still wasn't in on August 1 so we had to have them deliver as we no longer had a way to transport (a lot can happen in three months). No discount - full price delivery. Purchased June 6, 2015, and delivered at earliest point available on August 29. Waited months and received no discounts on product or delivery. On a positive note the delivery guys were really nice. However, I would not recommend due to the extensive delay and lack of customer service. With Ashley you are trapped - part of couch payment went to charity as a donation - if wanted refund instead get only some of money paid (minus donation) as store credit and not as a refund per their paperwork. The people at Ashley Furniture in Springfield Missouri couldn't have been nicer. We were greeted warmly by a sales associate who explained their current promotion. They let us browse and were on hand to answer our questions. The sofa and chair and ottoman that we purchased were of fantastic quality. When the time came for delivery they were about 2 weeks earlier than we were told, which was a nice surprise! The two gentlemen were very respectful of our house and set up our new furniture and could not have been more professional. I loved the store, the sale's person was great. I ordered in August of this year, was told it would be delivered around 10/20/20. I called today because I have not heard from anyone on my new sectional. I'm told that it is not all ready that the two end pieces my chase and recliner are not ready and it would ne Nov 20th on one piece and Dec 5th on the other. They said they planned to deliver the other pieces that they do have 10/22. Um no sir I need the end pieces for my couch. I have to go into the store because that will be six months after the day that i bought my sectional. I ordered several end tables, a coffee table, tv stand, and accent chair from this location aprox 1 month before moving into my new house. When looking at the different options the delivery date was a deciding factor since I would need these items to furnish my house. When talking with the sales person about these items they said they would be delivered in aprox. 3 weeks. I decided to go ahead and order them based on that information. It is now 5 months since I placed the order, and over 4 months passed when I was told my furniture would deliver. I was supposed to receive another piece on Wednesday (2 days from now) based on a phone call several weeks ago and several appointment confirmations sent to me the past few days. I am now being told it will be 2 more months before I can expect my items. Very difficult to reach the local store without reaching the call center several times first. Absolutely ridiculous customer service. If you are reading reviews to decide whether or not to shop here, I sincerely suggest that you choose to shop elsewhere. So disappointed with follow up. We bought furniture there and bought the warranty plan for the furniture. Tried to file a claim on the warranty. There was a manufacturing defect. Been 7 months and the store is avoiding us, the corporate office says it is our cost to pay to fix the issue. The warranty people refuse to fix it. Ashley's management won't call us back. We went in to look for a living room set and no one would help. The manager was not even interested in talking to us nor any of the salesman. All they all wanted to talk about is lunch and what dinner plans were. I can honestly say I will never spend my hard earned money there or walk in that store or any of their stores ever again. I purchased a mattress, foundation and frame in Aug. 2019 for my 95 year old mother and 93 year old step father (270lbs total weight) the set was delivered and set up by Ashley. After 16 months the mattress failed so badly that it is almost impossible for them to get out of the bed!. After many phone calls and sending pictures of the conditions they sent a furniture repair company representative to my home to inspect the bed. He took more pictures and measurements and told me it was by far the worst mattress failure he had EVER SEEN! After another 4 weeks and many phone calls I was finally told that I had absolutely no recourse because the bed frame that I purchased with the set from Ashley did not have a center bar. I explained to the representative that the entire set had been purchased and set up by Ashley and HOW could i have ever known that they would sell me an inferior frame for this set?? She said she was sorry but the frame had NO warranty and they could not do anything for me Period! BEWARE! DO NOT BUY From Ashley! read more
