    In October 2024 I purchased a King Croft Barclay Hybrid mattress from Springfield Mattress for…read more$1500. After a couple months of use the wife and I could not get comfortable on this mattress so I contacted Springfield mattress on December 19th 2024 and they said to file a warranty claim and they would see what the factory could do for us as far as getting a comfort exchange. On December 30th 2024 we received word that the factory could not do much for us because it was not one of their Forever Beds. The next step was in store credit towards a new mattress. I went in a few weeks later to see what they had, got a couple quotes and decided to think on it since this was right in the middle of our son being born and the gentleman, I had been in correspondence with was not in the store that day. Jan 22nd 2025 I made the hour drive to their store on Glenstone and spoke with the guy I had been making the warranty claim with. I tried out several mattresses while there and ultimately kept coming back to the Forever Bed Palisade Hybrid mattress. I was told this was a step up from the mattress we already owned, made with their patented inner springs with a Talalay Latex comfort layer to boot. Latex is something the wife and I had been interested in trying for some time now so I decided go forward with the purchase that day. At check out I was told this mattress was $2900 plus tax so with our in store credit of $1000 ($500 less of original mattress purchase) the price out the door was $1900 plus tax and a free mattress protector. Gave the man my card and out the door I went. On the drive home though something felt off. I knew I had been on their website and seen the Palisade mattress for less than the listed $2900. An hour later when I arrived home, I got on their website and found the price to be $2754.99. This is $145.01 less that what I was charged in store. Ok now I have questions, and upon further review of the mattress's web page, it in fact does not have Talalay Latex in it, its made with Serene Foam. Now I am starting to really doubt the purchase I made. At 11:31 Am on 1\22\25 I emailed them for clarification, 2 hours after the purchase was made. At 3:41 PM I was contacted Via phone call to ask what the problem was. I explained to them I felt this was false sales tactics, I was not comfortable with making a purchase with them and wanted to be refunded so I could take my business elsewhere. I was reassured it was just a mix up, there are a lot of different types of mattresses and foams, there was confusion as to the model he was speaking about. It was also said the online prices are not always accurate because their website is not always updated to current prices. If I wanted to, I could come back in and try to find that perfect mattress. I was told they would need to talk to their managers because something like this has never happened before. At 3:50PM they called back and informed me there was nothing they personally could do and I would need to talk to the manager on Friday Jan 24th when he was in office. Jan 24th comes and I place a phone call at 9:52am and receive no answer. Understandable they could be with a customer. At 10:50AM I get a call from the manager saying his employee left a note and wanted to know what was going on. So again I explained the situation and was told he would need to contact his boss at the factory to get the order pulled and see if they could get a refund initiated. At 3:16PM I get another call to inform me there is nothing they can do, they will not\cannot give me my money back and I will have to purchase the mattress. This is a strong-arm tactic and I will not stand for this. They have the ability to refund money, they DON'T WANT TO. I told them I will be filing a complaint with the Missouri Attorney General's Office, which has already been done, and disputing the charge with my credit card company. Shame on me for not doing my do diligence before this purchase but as a farmer in Missouri I work entirely to hard for the money I make to have a corporation take it from me.

I arranged for Saturday and the driver was a no show and cancelled AFTER giving explicit directions twice. Another driver came Monday and found the address with no issues. Sadly, the bed was damaged and refused. No one was available to bring a cord and advised it would be another week! The after-sale service was terrible. I expected a call from the manager by end of day Tuesday and it never came. I ended up cancelling and purchased the same bed and frame elsewhere and saved $700. The after-sale service is awful which made me question what would happen if there was a warranty issue.

Got to the point when I was paying for my purchase I was approved one of the lending programs was not Aware of the lending institution, even though I showed him where I was preapproved. You then told me they only use two lending sources, one of which I have multiple paid off loans with he literally rolled his eyes when he had to take a new application and I said enough is enough Got up and left and went right down the road to sofa city bought a better mattress and better frames and paid $2200 and was in and out and under 20 minutes. Will never buy from mattress firm again what a joke don't go into sales if you don't like working with the public and you don't like being a consultant and helping the customer, if you're going to be put off by doing your job, then find another job. Cannot believe the commission sales person would act like this.

While I am of course…read moreincredibly grateful, I wanted to take the time to talk about the EXCELLENT and SEAMLESS customer service I received from Charlie. I was to meet my delivery guy at Slumberland @ 415pm. I got stuck in a traffic jam at Walmart Pharmacy and was going to be late. I had spoken to Charlie earlier in the day and she was very nice then. I was very anxious when I spoke to her the second time and MY GOSH! She was so incredible. She was calming, understanding, and everything I didn't expect a customer service person to be. What a gem this employee is. I don't know what to say except THANK YOU. Thank you from me, from those families who will sleep on beds and not floors tonight.     I bought a recliner from Slumberland and I hadn't had it four weeks and it started coming a hole…read morestarted forming on the foot rest. At first they were very kind and said they would take care of it. They sent someone out and I thought they were going to fix it. A week later I get an email stating that the technician said it was normal wear and tear and they weren't going to fix it. I got a good deal on the chair. The saleslady was wonderful and other than the gigantic rip I love the chair. That's why three stars. Just hope nothing goes wrong.
