This has got to be the most incompetent furniture store in Washington! Worst customer service! I bought a bedroom set for my son which was scheduled for delivery 2 weeks out, unfortunately they call me the day of the delivery to say that they are "sorry" they made a mistake and missed some items; that being their fault and me taking the day off to wait for them wasn't enough. They said there is nothing we can do we can reschedule you for 2 days after... Wait for it... Yes Friday I had to call because guess what no one had the guts to call me and say we screwed up again sorry for taking another day off we didn't schedule properly. Don't worry Ashley's Furniture store my job is not important I'm just in the military and I can take days off whenever I want! But don't hold your breath even though this was the stores fault we can reschedule you for next week! As if this were not enough they will refund me in 7-10 business days. Terrible, the company won't find a way to do anything I even sent customer service an email with my problem and their response was that they could not see the stores delivery status to contact them personally. Ashley home funiture is the worst place to buy from..we bought a temperpedic bed about 3 weeks ago..they came and delivered out bed frame and said the bed would be here the following week..so the date comes and goes and this happens a few times and still no bed..we are paying a pretty penny for this bed.. corporate and the store we got the bed from have done nothing to rectify this situation..all they do is take your hard earned money and lie like lie. I purchased a couch that was to be delivered today. My window was 10:30-1:30. It snowed a bit last night but I did not hear that my delivery was affected. I took the time off work , prepared my house etc. At 1:45 I called because the delivery was not here. I was told it was not coming. I did not receive a phone call from them until 3:30. Their remedy, rather than to credit me my delivery charge, was to give me a $50 store credit. I have purchased many pieces from them. I won't again. Trying to return a product they made an error sending me has been the biggest headache I've ever encountered with a company. Each call I made weekly to handle it, I spent forever just trying to get someone. Each time I got someone new, there were no notes or information kept on my account regarding what the last Ashley employee promised me. I'd get the same promise every week (going on 6 weeks of trying to handle this bed), that someone will return my call within "24 to 48 hours." Never happened. I'd let the week go by then finally call myself, just to go through the exact same nightmare all over again. DO NOT buy from this company. Their business practices are awful. They do NOT care about customers once they get your money. The Olympia store is full of employees with poor training, and they and the call center employees do NOT stick to their word on returning calls and handling the situation. After almost $2,000 spent and no bed to show for it I am beyond livid with this company. read more

I bought a new mattress today. That took a lot of patience for the sales person having to spend such a long time while many mattresses were checked out. I also looked around at several stores to compare and find the right mattress and price. But what really stood out was the sales style of Chuck Padilla, I was so impressed with his casual informative style it helped my decision making. I had no problem purchasing a new mattress from Ashley Furniture, the sales person was attentive and helpful. The problems started with the delivery. They sub-contract their deliveries in our area and the men immediately ripped the plastic wrapping off (voiding the return policy). Next they refused to take our old mattress (they did end up having to come back another day to get it). Lastly, they ripped an inch along the seam of the box spring. Ashley's took no responsibility, and their supervisor issued hollow apologies. Now they want to trade out the box spring but this will be the third scheduling inconvenience. No thanks, Ashley Furniture, I'll find somewhere else to shop for furniture who cares about having my business. read more

This company was nothing but horrible!!! We bought a couch that in the showroom was a sleeper and no sign indicating there was a difference between a sleeper or regular sofa! We bought the insurance plan Montage furniture protect. We called to have them come clean the chair that was starting to look dirty. They asked us how long it had been since we noticed it. My husband told them "over time". They said sorry it has to be reported wishing 14 days! I will never buy anything from either of these companies again! read more

Brian introduced himself a couple of minutes after my wife and I entered the store. He gave us a little info about the store and sale then stayed out of our hair. No high pressure sales, no BS, he was straight up with us which earned our trust. I told him we'd wasted time at two other furniture stores being mislead about Cal-King bedroom sets, so I asked him to verify which Ashley sets are guaranteed to come in Cal-King. Brian jumped on the computer and touched bases with management making sure that his information was correct. We bought bedroom and dinning room furniture we love. Brian gave us a delivery date with a three day window, and we received updates on delivery date/time. The two delivery men did a fantastic job carrying it upstairs and setting it without touching the walls or railing. We very happy with the furniture we bought and the customer service we got at this Ashley store. They need to keep Brian on staff along with the delivery men because they each did a fantastic job. read more

Well we purchased couches, chairs, rugs, dining table, and decorations. We spent a lot of money. First problem our rug didn't come for 3 months after purchase and I called them multiple times and no one ever had an answer. How do you not know where your products are even if it is an outside company. The next problem is that we've only had them for about a year and they already look so worn. It's so sad because I expected them to last at least a few years. Now I am stuck with it. I suggest buying furniture from another company. Ashley used to mAke better made furniture but it has slowly gone down hill which is a bummer because they have such cute styles. read more

I'm never buying anything from Ashley Furniture again! I had ordered a few items a month ago. But let me tell you the experience I had on my first day shopping (which I looked passed it). I don't ever say anything about racism because I could give a crap about it. I walk in there and for about 20 minutes,, no one comes to help me, however, all the white people that was coming in after me was being helped. Of course I had to approach someone for help, maybe I didn't look rich enough because it wasn't until they saw my credit when they got very helpful, but whatever's, who cares. I was so excited to get everything in my new home. When my delivery came, my loveseat wasn't there. The delivery guy said it was on back order. I called Ashley Furniture and they said it missed the shipment. Whaaaaat?! How does a single piece miss the shipment. Anyway, the guy tells me he'll figure out what's going on and call me back. 3 days later I'm calling them because no one called me. Now I'm fricken pissed as hell. The lady tells me it's scheduled a week later, the day before Thanksgiving, and to top it off, 730-1030 at night!!! I've been holding off buying new pieces for the living room because I needed to visually see the sofa set together but because I have guests coming for Thanksgiving, I have to do things blindly. We chose an electric recliner sectional sofa for our home at Ashley Furniture. The female sales person could not find the correct sku numbers to get the correct pricing on their computer system. It took her and the dumshit manager 40 minutes to get it right, after quoting me one price and then raising it to accommodate their computer system. My wife wanted it, so I paid the higher price. (I know I'm dumb too, should have left after they couldn't operate their own system). Anyway, I then asked about the warranty, what it covers and for how long. It was as if I asked them to do my kids trigonometry homework, the sales lady and the checkout girl had confused and dumbfounded looks on their faces. I asked, doesn't anyone ever ask about the warranty? they then called the dumbass manager over, who also did not have a clue about how or where to access that information in their system. (Why didn't he know? He's the manager?) Finally, an older sales guy came over and found the information I was asking for and printed it out for me. I asked him why he wasn't the manager, he smiled and said he didn't want the increase in hours. Too bad, he knew what he was doing. So delivery time, I asked for time windows that matched our available time at home, each time I got the computer call delivery time which was the opposite time of when we were available. I cancelled the last delivery time and was awaiting a call for the new time and date, when I get a call that they will be at our house in 30 minutes. BTW, we were at a grad party, reason why we cancelled that delivery time. So we decided to leave the party and wait for the furniture. No show after an hour. I call and I'm told the driver was given wrong address and is 40 minutes away, actually, more like 90 minutes away, that's how long it took them to get here. When they did arrive, the second guy is pissed off and not afraid to let us know, they have to work late and they haven't eaten because they are behind in their deliveries. So they bring in the furniture and set it up, I extended the electric recliners and see a large open space between the bottom cushion and back cushioning. Enough room to slid into if your sitting on the recliner, obviously defective. I then called customer service, who tells me that they could have a craftsman come over and look at it, to see if it can be fixed. This defect cannot be fixed I tell the customer service lady, I then offer to send her photos, after she sees the photos, now she understands, she now explains the return policy is only good for 48 hours after you make the purchase. I go off on her, how stupid is that, we purchased it over a month ago, we just got the furniture, how could we know it would be defective? She repeats her policy information over and over leading me to believe, I'm stuck with crappy furniture for $2000, I was overly pissed off so I gave the phone to my wife who then spoke with someone else who after looking at the photos, agrees to ask her bosses if we could have our money back. ASK? At this point we have really pissed off the delivery guy who was pissed when he arrived, I tell them, take it apart and take it back. An hour later, I get a call stating that our money will be returned in 5-7 days. Unbelievable. After 7 days, I call because I haven't received my money back, I'm told to hang on for accounting, I hang on for more than 7 minutes before I hung up, more great customer service. I finally got my money returned to my credit card a full two weeks after the initial delivery. Never ever will I step foot in any Ashley Furniture store again, and I advise everyone to do the same. read more

Worst customer service EVER --- They took our money for 6 chairs and a Kitchen table. There was an issue with the delivery, however did not think it was important enough to share with me, the customer that took a day off to accept deliver. Got into web of lies after several phone calls by an very irritated customer. I recieved 5 different stories from 3 of them. We waited 3 weeks to get the furniture and will have to wait another 3 to get the missing piece and take another day off of work to cover their mistake. They knew there was an issue but decided that the customer did not need to know. Despite the inconvenience of taking a day off - they do not see that it is necessary to accomodate the customer on their regularly scheduled days off or unheard of delivery hours. I will never repeat business with Ashley Furniture and will strongly discourage any purchases from my friends and colleagues. The delivery driver even said once they sell you a product they don't care about service to the customer! Ouch read more

I ordered my furniture almost a month ago and still haven't received it. They told me it was going to be delivered two weeks from the time I bought it so I waited at my house all day for the first delivery date and they never showed up. When I called them they said they had rescheduled the delivery but no one had told me. I rescheduled for the next week and they canceled again. In the meantime I had already gotten rid of all of my furniture to prepare for the first delivery. Needless to say I still don't have my furniture and I have no furniture in my living room for the upcoming holidays. When I called the call center I spoke to Patty where she stated that I signed a contract which states that there could be delays at the warehouse, instead of apologizing. My experience has been terrible. We purchased two mattresses and a bedroom furniture set. The queen and the furniture set were fine, but they delivered the wrong king. Before the delivery, I returned to purchase a twin for my daughter, which has yet to arrive. Immediately we noticed the problem with the king, but the clerk told us to sleep on it for three days. After three days, we returned to the store, but they told us that we should have returned by the second day, and now we have to wait a month. After 30 days, they still may not give us a refund. I would not recommend this store, and I would suggest to others to visit other businesses for significant purchases. read more

My gf and I went to ashleys furniture store in Olympia with no cash on hand. We were told they do financing to solve that problem we had bought furniture from other stores with just financing no cash so we thought great. We found a nightstand we liked an filled out the application on a tablet and were approved for $2000. Now came the horror they called all our references bosses at work an a bunch of who knows what else. It took well over an hour an I'm not exagerating we walked in at 5:15 on an were still waiting on them at 7pm. Then they tell us we don't have the nightstand in stock here if you don't want it delivered for an extra 128 bucks you can pick it up in Tukwila so we said fine. Then they come back 15 min later an say they only have one in stock an would have to wait up to 4 weeks for a new shipment to arrive for the other nightstand. Then they say we need 150 some dollars down on this inexpensive nightstand. The reason we were opting to finance was because we had no cash at hand. The nightstand was full price no sale , it didn't offer no tax , they had no interest free financing. The reps acted like they could care less if we buy anything. Corporate should come down an see what's really going on with there business like undercover boss and see why they just loss a easy $600 dollar sale not to mention we won't be back. Suggestion: check inventory before making the sale , don't tell customer you don't need any cash on hand, ask customer if they want delivery don't just add it on. Offer discounts for customer troubles don't just say we match prices finally act like you actually care about your job. read more

The couch I picked looks nice and the actual delivery was efficient and spot on. While the in-store staff were friendly I did have some problem with their hard sell techniques. I was told by the salesperson the couch would be delivered within the week but at the actual time of purchase I was told it would be 6 weeks. It took an hour for the processing of the purchase and during that time I was encouraged to buy more and to "look around while the paperwork was completed". It was first thing in the morning and they weren't busy so why it took an hour is pretty obvious to me. read more

The new desk I wanted cost $100.00 less than the original desk, THEY WOULD NOT GIVE A REFUND for the remaining balance. I was also told that I had to spend the balance at that time, no gift card. I will never shop at this store again! We ordered a coffee table with 2 end tables and a tv stand. We wanted to take the floor items but were told we could not and our items would not be available for store pick up for 3 weeks. I received a call after the 3 weeks that our items were ready to be picked up. We went to the store and only the tables were there and they were the FLOOR ITEMS!!! I cancelled my order out of frustration and then was told that it would be 10 days for them to refund my money even though I paid with a debit card. Talk about a circus! I called the customer service manager and she was not able to help me at all. She said that according to her records all of our items were new but there was a manager on site when I went to pick up my furniture and he offered free shipping if I wanted to wait another 2 weeks. When I cancelled my order he walked away and left the receptionist to try to help me. What a joke read more

Fiasco!!! I purchased a bedroom and livingroom set. I paid for delivery and set up, which was to include the removal of all of the boxes and packing material. My delivery was scheduled for Wednesday November 16th. The truck arrived as promised, and went downhill from there. My sectional was missing a part and would have to be mailed (4 weeks out) They did not set up the bedroom set and left all of the boxes here (customer care did refund the delivery charge). As we started assembling the bed, we discovered that we were missing the right side rail, which made the bed impossible to assemble or use. I had 3/4 of a king size bed in my bedroom with no place to put my king sized mattress to be able to sleep. I called customer care and was on hold with customer care for over two hours. Customer care stated to me that I would be receiving the missing item the next day after 4 pm, which was Thursday. That did not happen. It took 5 days, three delivery trips and two packages in the mail to finally receive all of the parts to the furniture I ordered. 4 nights that I was not been able to sleep in my bed and literally had to sleep on the floor in the living room, over 20 hours spent on the phone with customer care and in person at the store, and two days of time off work to meet their delivery trucks to fix their mistake. The store manager, Alex came out to my house to bring parts from the showroom to try and make my bed at least able to support my mattress and assured me that I would receive some type of compensation for the ordeal, it is now 2 months later and all of my numerous phone calls and emails to store manager Alex have gone unanswered. Ashley Furniture has lost a customer!!! Their customer service promise is complete crap, they do not follow through with their word. read more

Ashley customer service is horrible! We purchased a desk and scheduled delivery prior to leaving the store (the date was over a week away). A few days prior to the scheduled delivery we got a call from the Ashley warehouse stating they wouldn't have the item available on that date and they wanted to reschedule for a date 3 days farther out. I told them that I had already scheduled things around the original date and had plans on the new date that would have to be rescheduled as well, would they be willing to refund delivery fees for the inconvenience. The lady stated she didn't have that authority, I needed to call the store. I called the store, who informed me they couldn't authorize any changes, so I called customer care and sat on hold for almost an hour before hanging up and calling the store back to speak to a manager who informed me that the stores don't have the authority to authorize refund of the delivery fee but he would look into having the desk delivered on an earlier date that works for us. I agreed with that. We never got a call back from the manager but we did get both an email AND automated call asking for confirmation of our delivery.....on the original date, I confirmed with both. On the date of delivery, no delivery, no phone call. I called Ashley and was informed they had no record of a scheduled delivery, spoke to someone else and was told it had been changed. I told them that at this point I want the order cancelled. Come to find out, it has to be approved by a manager....who won't be in until morning. Really??? This would have been our first Ashley piece, needless to say, my house will be Ashley free....forever!!! read more

I never write reviews, but I was compelled to do so after my experience at this store. First of it is the most pushy and uncomfortable experience imaginable. It will be impossible for you to browse without multiple vultures awaiting the first sign of interest. They will literally stalk you from a distance. Unfortunately, my partner talked me into getting a nice looking leather sectional and dining room table. Long story short after they get your money any type of customer service will disappear. I received a broken chaise and after 1 month from the purchase date I still do not have a replacement. The dinning room table came in a separate delivery and didn't include the benches. I was never informed the benches were out of stock. The delivery drivers just drove off. It took multiple phone calls for the issue to be acknowledged and to have the benches delivered and once they came I received the floor models that have visual signs of wear. 4k spent and a broken chaise and used benches are sitting in my house and no signs these issues will be resolved anytime soon. This is probably the most disappointing purchasing experience I have ever had. I'm so happy they didn't talk me into their MONTAGE protection plan that they are literally relentless in trying to persuade you into purchasing. Anyone that says they have a good experience making a purchase here I would like to inform I have a lot of flood zone property that never floods and at a terrific price! read more

My wife and I went to Ashley in Olympia and had a very good experience while we were there. We were not swamped with hungry salesmen trying to make a sale. Instead, we were allowed to browse the store as we pleased and were pleasantly greeted on a couple of occasions. When we were ready to make a purchase, we had no problems in getting assistance. We applied for credit and was quickly approved as we made our selection. We requested a delivery and were scheduled for Jan 11. On that day I took off from work so that I could ensure the delivery was accomplished without any problems. The call came in as promised, about 1030 in the morning, which I was expecting them to tell they were on the way and would arrive in about 30 minutes. Instead, I was told that the delivery was delayed until the next day due to weather complications. No problem! these things happen, I accepted the new scheduled and took an additional day off so that I could receive my furniture. The next day, around the same time I received the call, expecting the delivery was on time. No, they could not get the delivery truck out and was snowed in and they rescheduled the delivery for Jan 18. Frustrated, but understood, these things happen and yes, Portland did get a lot of snow. Ok So, my wife and I waited while we were sleeping in a bedroom without any furniture, as we had moved out all the old furniture in expectation of getting the new furniture as scheduled. On the morning of the 18th, I was expecting to adjust my work schedule while our new furniture was being delivered. I decide to call the customer service number to ensure the delivery was going to occur as scheduled. The answer I received from the customer service representative, was that the furniture was never scheduled for delivery as promised and would not be able to get it delivered until the 25th. Again, rescheduling a simple delivery. I asked to speak to the manager to express my disappointment in their inability to fulfill their obligation of keeping promises. Once I spoke with the manager, instead of trying to compliment the agreement, she displaced the mistake as a systematic error. What happened is they failed to place the order for delivery as scheduled on the phone. She had no concern for customer service and I decided to cancel the order to make the purchase for a more reliable dealer. read more

Towards the end of last year my wife and I bought furniture from Ashley furniture. We were given a delivery date a few weeks out. Well come delivery date no word from Ashley. I call and...it's not in stock! They told me they would have to reschedule the delivery. After rescheduling a few days and again no word. So I call and they didn't even have us down for delivery. After calling again they gave us another date. Well after leaving a google review it surprisingly came to our house that night. They also gave us a $100 voucher. After about a month of debating whether to give them another chance we did. Towards the beginning of January we bought more furniture and we given a date of over 3 weeks out. Just got a phone call and guess what...they need to reschedule because it's not in stock. How ridiculous is it that you set delivery dates and have to continuously reschedule them. I wish I would have gone with my first instinct and threw the voucher away. I wouldn't have even wanted to give it away and put someone through this stressful company. read more

I want to thank the patient and helpful Olympia store staff for enduring my difficult, but ultimately great, mattress-buying experience. After buying a Beautyrest hybrid mattress, a recliner, and a pillow, I loved the recliner and the pillow-- a technician was even dispatched to help with an assembly issue for the recliner that the movers didn't notice at delivery. The technician was knowledgeable and solved the problem quickly. But I decided the mattress was too hard, after I barely slept for two weeks. I fell asleep in the store on a softer bed, and asked to exchange my hard one for the comfy bed. When I discovered that I had to wait 30 days to select a new mattress, I was sure the store was complicit in torture. In my altered sleepless state, I burst into tears, and a very kind manager had to promise me he would try to solve the problem. He tried to waive the requirement, but couldn't, so I had to wait the full 30 days. Disgruntled, I went home to a few more sleepless nights. A week later, I noticed I was sleeping better; 30 days went by and I was not sure, so I waited 40 days. I decided to choose a softer bed, and the nice salesman wrote up a lovely softer bed. By 50 days, my hard bed was softer and more comfortable, so I asked to delay the exchange. A few days later, I realized that I love my bed. It is now the softest bed I can imagine sleeping on, with firm support and amazing soft memory foam. I am so glad I had to wait, even if complained loudly throughout the entire process! Thanks to the patience and kindness of the staff at Ashley in Olympia, I really do love my new bed. Memory foam mattresses do take time to soften and the body needs time to adjust, just like they say! The pillow was instantly wonderful, though! read more
