Mary Ford was the nice sales person who helped me with the purchase of a chair. All the employees are pleasant and helpful, not pushy. The furniture that we've got in the past has been really nice, comfortable, and attractive. We had a lot of problems with their computer system, and getting the correct address for delivery. This is a recurrent problem. What should take 5 minutes to fix, is apparently taking the combined effort of five people for over an hour. Next time I'll open a new account, or go pick up my stuff at the warehouse. Edited; Store manager helped to correct the computer problem. Apparently if their software/mapping doesn't recognize the address, it defaults to a random address with the same street number. Be sure to check the address carefully when you make a purchase. In-store experience was good, but the delivery and customer service afterwards was terrible. On the delivery day for the sectional couch I had purchased, it was discovered that staff at the store had mistakenly ordered a RH loveseat when it should have been a LH one. I was told that the correct one would be delivered within 48 hours. It was not. When I called the store number, I was routed to a corporate call center. They seemed lost but eventually gave me a delivery date @ WEEKS down the line. On the day of that delivery, nobody showed. I called the number again and was told that they did not have the correct item in the warehouse and would have to order it. I explained that this is what was supposed to have already happened. No one called to informed me that this was the case so my time was wasted. On the delivery date a week later (today), no one called or showed up again. Once again I called. I was first told that it could not delivered and the whole couch would have to be replaced. Then upon checking, he stated that there was a LH loveseat in the warehouse, but it could not be delivered until next week! I asked why, if it had been in the warehouse, it could not be delivered today but was told it was a paperwork mix-up and there was no room on any vehicle to deliver it until next week. VERY POOR customer service. Very frustrating. It will now have been over a month since I purchased it. read more

After chain store mattress salesman overwhelmed us, we decided to try a furniture store. The store was well lit, spacious, clean, and had plenty of furniture. We made our way to the back where the mattresses were. We were greeted by Marcus, who asked if we knew what we were looking for. We explained what type of mattress we were looking for and he was able to show us those models. We had mentioned our previous experiences earlier in the day and he understood. He got us some pillows and said he would be close by if we needed him. We tried it, and didn't like it much, so Marcus came back and helped us find some comparable options to what we had in mind. Again, he let us be, lying there on multiple beds for 10-15 minutes at a time. When we finally decided on our new mattress, he explained what options were available. Marcus was never pushy or "salesy" with us, allowing the time and space to make an important decision. A simple checkout on his iPad, scheduled the delivery and on we went. I think it's worth it to mention the delivery was also good. They arrived earlier than estimated, set up the frame and bed perfectly, and were very polite. read more

Be VERY careful if you are ever considering buying a mattress from Ashley. They will lead you to believe that if you are unsatisfied with the mattress, you'll be able to return it and get your money back--but that is misleading, there is NO money back guarantee and they are extremely careful to explicitly never say that. I just realized that I gave Ashley $4,000 for absolutely nothing. I feel like they just robbed me blind. read more

I purchased a table and chair set, which were beautiful. One of the chair legs was missing a balance screw. I called them right away. This was in December 2024. Today is April 10th, and I still haven't gotten the repair team to come out and to repair it. I did purchase insurance on all items, but apparently this didn't mean anything. I've called and gone in several times, but they always say that they contacted me and I didn't respond to their emails. I told them that they had the wrong email. Supposedly they corrected it, but no...that was their latest excuse for not showing lip to fix the issue. Customer service was very poor quality. In short, order from Amazon if it has the item you want. In mid-March, neither Amazon nor this Ashley store had the coffee table I wanted in stock, so I ordered it through the latter, delivery date May 7. Today, Amazon has the item back in stock and if I order it from them on my Prime Membership it will ostensibly arrive on April 22 - a one week turnaround. I asked this Ashley store if shipment of the table I've purchased could be expedited. It tried to arrange such via a UPS shipment from any Ashley warehouse but failed because the item is back-ordered everywhere and wouldn't be available by this route until the end of May. It's not the extra two weeks without the table that's the irritant here. It's the fact Ashley considers me a second class customer in its distribution scheme. P.S. 5/3/24 I've now been told that the delivery of my order has been delayed another 24 days to May 31. I cannot convey the depth of my disgust. I will never, ever buy anything directly or indirectly from Ashley again. The item is again not available from Amazon. I will monitor Amazon's stock and if it becomes available and I can get it from them prior to May 31, I shall cancel the order made via Ashley and order from the former. read more

My wife and I ordered a couch and coffee table. On delivery day the couch was not fitting through the door. The delivery men did not make any attempt to fit the couch through the door. No attempt to take apart pieces that could easily be taken off, no attempt to take off the plastic wrapping or the cardboard materials. They placed the couch next to the door and outright said they could not fit it through. Instead, the delivery men told me that if I paid them $100 on the side, they would take the door off and then put the couch through the door. So there was no problem getting it through the door, they just wanted to make money on the side. I asked them if this isn't something they already do, considering all other companies I have used prior to Ashley do take the door off if needed for deliveries. They said no. I contacted the store to report the issue. I spoke to two people named Ryan and Heather. Ryan left my wife a voice message stating they could bring back the couch and take the door off (her iPhone even has the transcript of the voice message). When I mentioned this he backtracked and stated they wouldn't take the door down, I even mentioned the voice message. He simply gas lit me saying he didn't say it. I asked both Ryan and Heather couldn't they take the door off as a courtesy, since their delivery men tried to take an extra $100 from us (something Ryan confirmed they should never do). Neither one was willing to do us the simple courtesy. Instead Heather decided to be rude. Horrible customer service. Would never recommend them. How can you work with a company that tries to take extra money from your customers? And how does a company offer no appeasement to a customer who had a negative experience? I have worked in customer service before, if a customer has a bad experience there is an attempt made to appease them. Ryan nor Heather attempted any appeasement. Horrible. read more

Each time I call, I'm on hold for hrs, then someone answers and tells me they can't help me then will put me on hold and say okay we will send you a replacement cover and then weeks and months pass and I get nothing. This store said nothing, in fact we were told everything would only be a few weeks. Due to this we made our purchase. Now we are being told everything is on backorder and it could be several months. While I respect that the pandemic has caused shipping issues and supply issues, falsely stating something and then informing me the "fine print says dates are subject to change." This has been a wonderful experience for me especially as a first time buyer at Ashley's! I was helped out by a sale's associate by the name of Kyle. He made sure to answer every one of my questions as far as discounted items, sales, and other information I may have needed. The process went fast and smooth and he made it very easy. As for delivery, I chose the date upon availability. They will call you to give you a 4 hr window when the furniture will arrive. I bought the furniture on Saturday and it was delivered on Tuesday at the expected time frame. They will unload the furniture, put it together for you and take the trash with them as well. There were no damages to the item. Very satisfied! As far as online purchasing, I really can't say as I bought the furniture in-store. It's a 4 star review because some of the associates in the store were just a tad unapproachable. It also made it hard to flag someone down. Lots of staff in store, not enough approach. read more

I have never been so disappointed in a company as I have been with Ashley Furniture. Mike Martin, the salesman at the Silverdale, WA store was OUTSTANDING but that was it. I can understand delays but their automated system that kept emailing me and texting me with incorrect information, NO live person every called and then delivery people arriving almost 2 hrs before the expected time, is unprofessional and unexpected from a company of this size. Doubtful will ever go in another Ashley store. We visited an Ashley Furniture Store in Auburn, WA on February 2nd, we went home to do more research and to call other Ashley stores for items in stock. I spoke to Mike Martin the salesman at the Silverdale, WA store the following day and he was the nicest person I spoke to and I had called several Ashley stores in our area. We drove an hour from Spanaway, WA to the Silverdale Store. Mike was just as nice in person as he was on the phone. He was a very nice man, straight forward and direct and treated us with respect. He wrote our order with the items we had requested. We understood the rocker was in the warehouse and the loveseat would arrive the following week, therefore we chose to wait for delivery when both items were at the warehouse. But there was a delay in the arrival of the loveseat. I received several emails and texts with INCORRECT information on our order and I had to call the warehouse several times to get correct information. Never did anyone from Ashley CALL me, just many emails and texts. I asked them to stop sending these emails and texts and was told they couldn't as they are automated. Very annoying and when the information was incorrect, that just added to the annoyance. Finally last week. the 1st of March I received a delivery email and text with the delivery date that THEY decided on. I again had to call to set up a date that worked for us. That delivery date was today March 8th between 9:30 AM-1:30 PM. The delivery person called at 7:30 AM and left a message. I was still asleep and never heard my phone, they said they would be here at 8 AM. We only knew they arrived as our dogs barked. I was getting in the shower, so my husband checked on the dogs to find the delivery people here. I didn't even get to see my new furniture come into my home. Very disappointed and unexpected that they arrived so early. I should be happy that my new furniture is here but I am so upset with everything we have gone through this past month plus, it will take a while. I hope someone will contact me as I would love to talk to a LIVE person to share this awful experience. read more

I would give this place zero stars if I could. The person who helped me was VERY helpful but that was my only good experience with them. I ordered my couch in December 15, 2021 and is March 24, 2022 and I still don't have it. WTH? It's been over 3 months! They said that j would definitely have it by February 15, 2022 but they updated me a week later telling me my couch has been delayed indefinitely. Also, because I bought it in store, they have no records of me buying this at all when I call customer service AND there is no way to call the store directly. This is the WORST STORE EVER! I'm super disappointed with the sales associate that tried to pressure me into purchasing a bedroom set. I came in just to get a quote and some measurements to make sure it would fit in my new place. We found something I liked so I asked for a quote. He brought it on the computer and when I asked for a print out, he said no. I asked if they price matched and he said yeah but only with Ashley's online website. He then went on to tell me that it doesn't include assembly and I would be paying a lot for shipping. I asked him to write the info on his business card so I could take the measurements to the complex. He asked me for my complex name so he could pull it up and see the measurements online. He showed me something similar to my room, and then sketched a rough draft of how much space would be taken up. I'm glad I said no because THAT was not the same room as mine and in all reality, I wouldn't have had the space for all the items I wanted. I didn't believe him when he said I would have to build my own stuff so I called another Ashley's and spoke with a manager. Sure enough, the sales associate was lying. It comes with a premium service and the online discount was nearly $700 off. I even asked about the headboard for the bed and he said I couldn't buy it alone because it wouldn't hold without the panels. The manager I spoke with said it could stand against the wall with the bed holding it up, just like it shows in the picture. Not only was the sales associate at this location rude, but he was obviously pressuring me into buying because he wanted his sales up. The other manager apologized but since he didn't know him and they were in a different store there was nothing he could do. Instead, he offered me an additional discount and helped me through the process online. You can even choose a delivery time. So people, beware! And definitely speak with other managers or sales associates to make sure you're all on the same page! read more

I left a review under the sectional purchased on the Ashley's website and it has not been posted (it's been 3 weeks). The reviews are not honest. Please see attached photo of the (2) reviews not including mine. I was excited to purchase my new sectional at Ashley's furniture. Within my 1st month the lumbar to the chase was damaged. I told myself "you get what you paid for, it is a 1600$ couch" and I left it alone. At (11) months, the seams are separating on the cushions, the couch is squeaking and the lumbar is broken. I left a review and Ashley's did not post my review for customers to beware. I'm stunned. A technician arrived on-site, tore apart the entire chase in 3 hours, the lumbar was separated and held together by staples only. He tried to fix the chase and I learned about Ashley's point system, the more couches you fix in a day, the more points you get to keep your job. He stated "I fix about 6-8 couches a day in the Seattle area and that is my main job". Wow! That's a lot of couch repairs! Regarding the cushion dented, I was informed "just flip the cushion to the non-fabric side and sit on it, it may fix the dent". He did send a new chase cushion cover to fix the separating seems. The couch continues to squeak, the lumbar is still sunk and the cushion is dented. Ashley's is sending a 2nd repair technician to earn points. I'm truly disappointed in my 1600$ couch, rarely used by my 2-person family. I would hate to see what this couch would be like with 4 family members. I'm really disappointed to purchase my 1st "NEW" couch and it's falling apart. My parents warned me about Ashley's furniture and informed me to purchased used high-end couches. I should of listened. Now I have a couch that will make taken apart twice, the warranty is near the end and I think "who will want to buy a squeaky, dented cushion and lumbar broken couch". I purchased a mattress at Ashley last week and had it delivered on December 31 2019. The sales associate that sold the mattress was pleasant. (Of course it's her job) I slept in the bed one night and it was awful! It was like sleeping on a rock. I called the store the next morning to see if I could exchange . I have heard a lot of negative things from people about Ashley furniture for a really long time. I personally have never had any issues with them. I have used them to furnish several of my homes previously. I walked into the store about 6 months ago and placed an order to furnish an entire brand new home that my husband and I were building. I let them know my situation about what I'm buying and how I needed them to hold it for me etc. There were zero issues. Jen at the Olympia store is absolutely fantastic. The best customer service experience I think I have ever had. Ashley furniture, if you are reading this, give this girl a bonus! She treated me like we were friends. We laughed and joked and she was extremely helpful. She helped me furnish my entire house and we had fun doing it. There were things that I saw online that were cheaper than in the store but because I bought so much, she was able to give me an even bigger discount than online. I appreciated this because she didn't have to tell me that. She didn't have to toggle between in store and online prices to see what would help me most. She knew my budget and stayed within that budget. She was fun, and helpful beyond belief. I had situations with my builder where I had to continue to push back my furniture delivery and she called me on her personal phone to tell me to adjust my delivery date so that my furniture wouldn't go to someone else (because she was honest from the get-go and like most furniture companies, if someone buys the same piece as you and is ready for it they will get it while yours is back ordered-- I get it from a business standpoint). Anywho, she personally called to tell me that I needed to have it delivered before it went to someone else because they were losing stuff from the warehouse. Jen, thank you. Thank you for making me a priority and making me feel like my experience mattered. I will ALWAYS go to her and I will ALWAYS refer her to friends and family. If you go, do yourself a favor and specifically ask for her. she also told me that if there was ANY mark on ANY furniture to have them take it back so it can be replaced. She was also nice enough to merge two orders under one delivery payment. I just can't say enough good stuff about her. ...... everything came and looks BEAUTIFUL! We went to Ashley Furniture on 05/18/2020 and purchased 2 Sofas, 1 chaise, a table set (3) and spend $1800. The service at the store was great and the delivery on time. All 3 tables where damaged I had discovered the next day after looking closer. For 4 weeks we tried calling (unsuccessful), went 4 times in person at the store. Over a week ago finally someone came over to evaluate the damage and we where supposed to get a new set. Yesterday 06/16/2020 the new set came and again all 3 tables where damaged. We are fed up with countless calls to get a quality replacement. We will not refer Ashley Furniture or get anything from that store again. I would give zero or negative stars if I could. Went I just to browse. Found a small $20 item and decided to purchase. What an incredible ordeal to spend my money. Hannah (she never told me her name or introduced herself, I just saw her name on the paperwork) took me to the main desk to do who knows what (no explanation). Then we had to go to a kiosk in the back of the store to process my payment. After a considerable amount of time with her at the computer and completing paperwork for a $20 item which I paid for in full, Hannah had to go back to the front desk to get more paperwork. I waited and waited and waited. Finally gave up and left the store. Cant believe it took me about 30 minutes to complete a $20 transaction. Then she calls my phone and requests that I return to the store to sign the paperwork. REALLY. Will not ever shop here again. Terrible terrible customer service. When they say 7-10 weeks for delivery, expect 13. Then, do not expect them to call ahead of time for delivery- expect an automated call saying your delivery will be there in 20 minutes. Then, expect only the loveseat be delivered, not the couch. Maybe another 13 weeks with a 20 minute heads up? Better be at home! Oh, and do expect a long enough wait on hold while trying to contact customer service to complain/maybe get a heads up on the next delivery? A long enough wait to relax, do some work, and even type this review! Ps: the sales "professional" promised to call/text me personally when she saw my name on the delivery list. First of all I would like to give a shout out to my wonderful sales agent Susan Bryant, she was 5 stars, extremely easy to talk to, listened to my wants and needs and never was pushy. She took the time to price out many table sets and sectionals out for us and because of her service alone I will always go back to her and Ashley's. As for the furniture I always find Ashley's has great quality stuff and they offer in home delivery for a small fee, even 5 year protection plans with a full refund if you don't have to use it within those 5 years. BEWARE! The absolute worst follow through I've ever experienced from any company. I ordered my furniture during their "4th Of July Sale" ... shortly after spending 15k cash in a single day ... Im advised that virtually ALL of the order will be delayed an additional month beyond their original estimated delay (of a month). As of today, two dressers have arrived completely destroyed, and were refused (I have no idea why they'd even attempt to deliver them). Still waiting on a ton of stuff, which supposedly, will arrive on 9/23. I was told that I'd get a call for redelivery on the broken dressers within 48 hours ... its been over a week now. First of all the communication is awful my delivery didn't show up when it was suppose to, the day of the delivery I say on hold for 3 hours then they closed so my call was disconnected, I had to drive to the store to find out what happened! We purchased our 3 piece living room powered furniture from Olympia Ashley furniture store over Veterans Day weekend to take advantage of their awesome Veterans Day sales. Big mistake we made! We spent over 5,000 for our living room furniture, on the day we purchased our things, we scheduled a delivery date for December 22,2020. We were informed we will get a phone call 48 hour in advance to confirm our scheduled delivery date. We never received the phone call so we called and spoke to a customer service agent who confirmed everything was scheduled as planned. The day before our scheduled delivery we called customer service because we did not get a "estimated" timeline. From that phone conversation we were told our delivery date has changed to January 5,2021. I had two major issues to deal with, it's literally 3 days before Christmas and we have no place for us to sit and what joy for our kids to experience right before Christmas.. we don't have furniture and we have no place to sit because we sold our old furniture 2 days ago based on the confirm scheduled delivery date. Second issue, no one from Ashley furniture store in Olympia contacted us to let us know our furniture would not be arriving. Literally no one made a effort no phone calls, no emails and no text. This is a not a great customer service and I don't trust they are capable of doing the honest and right thing to their costumers. The sales associate or the customer service never made contact to let us know they had changed our scheduled delivery date. We would have never known if we did not personally contact them. Bottom line, once you purchase and pay for your furniture and schedule a delivery date, don't except communication from anyone at the store. Once they had our money, they made no effort to follow though with their customer service. I am following up with BBB and I have filed a case against this particular Ashley furniture store for not communicating with us. Be aware and don't make the same mistake as we did. read more
