We purchased our 3 piece living room powered furniture from Olympia Ashley furniture store over Veterans Day weekend to take advantage of their awesome Veterans Day sales. Big mistake we made! We spent over 5,000 for our living room furniture, on the day we purchased our things, we scheduled a delivery date for December 22,2020. We were informed we will get a phone call 48 hour in advance to confirm our scheduled delivery date. We never received the phone call so we called and spoke to a customer service agent who confirmed everything was scheduled as planned. The day before our scheduled delivery we called customer service because we did not get a "estimated" timeline. From that phone conversation we were told our delivery date has changed to January 5,2021. I had two major issues to deal with, it's literally 3 days before Christmas and we have no place for us to sit and what joy for our kids to experience right before Christmas.. we don't have furniture and we have no place to sit because we sold our old furniture 2 days ago based on the confirm scheduled delivery date. Second issue, no one from Ashley furniture store in Olympia contacted us to let us know our furniture would not be arriving. Literally no one made a effort no phone calls, no emails and no text. This is a not a great customer service and I don't trust they are capable of doing the honest and right thing to their costumers. The sales associate or the customer service never made contact to let us know they had changed our scheduled delivery date. We would have never known if we did not personally contact them. Bottom line, once you purchase and pay for your furniture and schedule a delivery date, don't except communication from anyone at the store. Once they had our money, they made no effort to follow though with their customer service. I am following up with BBB and I have filed a case against this particular Ashley furniture store for not communicating with us. Be aware and don't make the same mistake as we did. read more

The worst experience I have ever went threw with shopping. I ordered furniture that took 3 weeks to come, I was fine with that. Then they deliver the wrong furniture and still demanded me to pay for something that I don't have. I was upset and confused so I decided to cancel my purchase. We purchased furniture in early November, we have been delayed and delayed. They called again today to delay again and we told them we just want to cancel and get our total $$ refunded. They didn't have a number that we can cancel from, so I called the listed number for the store, got a recorded answer, with very limited questions so you couldn't answer them~ then was supposedly put on hold for customer service and then hung up on. My husband and I purchased a living room furniture set here last weekend. Little did we know, there are NO returns once the furniture has been "accepted into your home." Funny how no one mentioned that when making such a large purchase. Personally, that's the first thing I'd tell someone. The furniture ended up not fitting and now we're having to sell it privately to make up for some of the cost. Horrible, horrible selling practices. Buyer Beware! This place gets two stars only because of our positive experience with our sales person Moriah. She was very helpful over the two visits we made to the store. The nightmare began with the delivery. Our order was a large one and the majority of our furniture was delivered with no problems. However, a coffee table and an area rug were back ordered. Initially scheduled for us to pick up at their warehouse on June 21, this date was delayed until July 1. On that day, I received a call from the warehouse saying that both items were in the warehouse and available for pick-up. We agreed I would arrive at 1:30. I drove 40 miles to their Tacoma warehouse only to be informed by the same person I spoke to on the phone that the coffee table was not there and that they had no idea when it would be available. This woman told me that she had tried to call me about the delay, insinuating it was my fault that I had driven all that way for nothing (when I got home I discovered that the call had come in at 1:29, one minute before my scheduled arrival). I drove back to the store in Olympia and spoke to the manager who told me they would be glad to schedule delivery in two weeks... on July 16. When I told him that was unacceptable, he said that the table was on a truck somewhere in California and that there was nothing he could do, jokingly telling me, "I could go to the warehouse and beat them up for you." Seriously! The coffee table order will be cancelled and we will never shop at Ashley Furniture again. Given other reports, it amazes me that this store is still in business. I don't like to write bad reviews, but this place was HORRIBLE. The sales associate, had TERRIBLE costumer service. She was inattentive, rude, and prejudiced. My sister and I are people of color. I went with her to purchase some rugs for her new apartment, and had to bring my 2 year old son with us. The sales associate was hesitant to help and kept rolling her eyes at my son and looking at him in a disgusting manner. She was absent when we needed to ask her questions, wanting to make purchases, and for help. She kept leaving us and at one point we had to find another sales associate for help because she was not on the floor at all. The other sales associate had to go and find her. When they finally found her she was irritated and told my sister to get another associate after my sister had asked if she was supposed to help us make purchases and gather our items. She didn't even ask us if we needed help the entire time we were there. THE WORST PART WAS THAT SHE TRIED TO RIP MY SISTER OFF BUY TELLING HER SHE HAD TO PURCHASE EACH ITEM SEPARATELY FOR SEPARATE SALES TAX AND THAT MY SISTER COULD NOT USE HER ASHLEY's furniture credit card. I have never heard in my life that you could not use a credit card from the same store the credit is from to purchase items from the same store. My sister called the manager and the manager plus the associate made my sister pay "whatever she had in her pocket " for sales tax because they could not charge that on the card. I am pretty sure that was unethical business. If anyone can help us file a complaint with some place that overlooks fraud, shady, and/or unethical business purchases that are forced by managers and sales associates please let me know. read more

BEWARE! The absolute worst follow through I've ever experienced from any company. I ordered my furniture during their "4th Of July Sale" ... shortly after spending 15k cash in a single day ... Im advised that virtually ALL of the order will be delayed an additional month beyond their original estimated delay (of a month). As of today, two dressers have arrived completely destroyed, and were refused (I have no idea why they'd even attempt to deliver them). Still waiting on a ton of stuff, which supposedly, will arrive on 9/23. I was told that I'd get a call for redelivery on the broken dressers within 48 hours ... its been over a week now. If I could give a negative rating I would. Negative 5 is my rating for the Olympia Ashley. These guys are liars, and out to make the sale and commission only. To heck with the customer! Stay away from the Olympia branch of Ashley. I ordered a cabinet in-store at 20% off, but went home and saw that it was 30% off online. This is after asking the in-store sales rep multiple times if I should just order online, as they were having computer problems and I had to wait 45 minutes to process the transaction. I asked if I would still get the sale online, and they insisted I should wait as they were escalating the computer problem. Stupid me, but my prior experience with Ashley Tacoma Mall was outstanding so I waited. Called the store the next day and spoke to a woman (wish I had written down her name!) who said they would not price match the online price after the fact as they are entirely different entities. Wow. I then proceeded to cancel the order by talking to the same lady. She indicated the sale was cancelled and I should see the refund on VISA in 3-5 days. Lies, lies, liar. Boldface lie. In the meantime I ordered a cabinet online at 30% off. Got multiple texts confirming delivery, and I should have thought about it more....multiple texts! Well long story short my husband accepted delivery of 2 matching cabinets. Poor guy was oblivious of the situation, my fault of course. Coincidently they were both delivered on the same truck even though everyone I talked to after the fact said they were different and entirely separate business services. PLUS I was charged a $69.99 delivery fee for each cabinet!!!!! For items delivered on the same truck!! Since the delivery was accepted by my husband I have no recourse, and now we own matching cabinets. Calling the store after all this went down I was told 1) sale never cancelled 2) they would price match online and did after proof that the sale was still ongoing?? 3) they will only credit my VISA if I go back to the store and present my card in person. Lovely as its an hour away. Each store is its own business and sets up their own return/exchange policy. Beware of Olympia. Stay away from these Olympia guys. If you need to see a product go to the store but do not buy there. Much better prices, and no lies from online. BTW I have purchased multiple items in store at the Tacoma Mall location, and never an issue, even with items unpackaged and returned within 30 days. AND they picked up!! My husband and I visited this store early this afternoon. We walked and browsed all the way through the store. At one point, after a couple of minutes, a female employee asked us "how we were". We said "fine", "how are you". That was it. She continued with her computer work. We continued casually talking and browsing through the entire store. We were looking for end tables for our living room. Not one sales person or other employee asked us if we needed help, or made eye contact with either of us, or came within 50 feet of us for that matter. We figured their conversations with each other must have been very important, or they might have left them to possibly make a sale. 3First off I want to say, I love my furniture. That said, here is my review. I absolutely loved Susan. She was so helpful and professional. She should be promoted to manager in my opinion, because she really cares about the customer. We bought furniture, and it did take about a month to be delivered. We were ok with that. We are not impatient people. Delivery was awesome. We bought a couch, love seat and two lazy boy chairs. We decided that the lazy boy chairs just were not what we wanted as far as comfort. Went back to the store and found ones we loved. Only issue was they were cheaper and they won't just give you credit on your account, you have to have in store credit. wasn't thrilled about that, but ok we found rugs that we liked so bought them to make up the price difference. This is where things go awry. When they delivered the rug we ordered an 8x10 and they delivered a 5x8. Went to the store, and they agreed to send us the 8x10 for even exchange. Sounds good, right? Well, no. Waited like a month no rug. Went back in to find out it was never ordered. I am a little irritated, but pushing through. Courtney Wright assisted me with ordering the rug, that should have already been ordered. She ask if I have a vehicle large enough to pick it up, I tell her no, and she says she can send it fed ex. Well emailed her at the minimum 4 times asking for a tracking number. Nope she doesn't have that information. Get a call Thursday, saying it is at the store and we need to pick it up. No intention of making up their errors and making it easier for the customer. I have to borrow a vehicle large enough to pick up the rug. I go in and state, "This is the worse customer service I have ever experienced". Expecting for her to say, "What is the problem"? Nope, all she says is, "I am sorry to hear that". That was it! Even asked at one point to purchase the 5x8 at a discount as I could use it in another room. Just a no. Hmm... Not to mention another rug we purchased for over $200.00 was sent fed ex and left at our door. Shop elsewhere. I ordered barstools over 2months ago and have been given 3 different delivery dates, each delayed further. When our last delivery date came and went without contact, they showed our order as having already been picked up. They re-placed my order and I was assured the chairs would be delivered to my home within the week, guaranteed. 2 days before my promised delivery date, we get a notice our order is going to be delayed AGAIN (4th delivery date). This has been the most ridiculous experience ever to get an end table. I went to Ashley Furniture in Olympia, WA to get a coffee table and an end table for my living room. The first time I left with purchasing a coffee table in which I had to pay for it to be delivered and assembled. That's fine, I'll do it. I had it scheduled to deliver 2.5 weeks from purchase. The following morning I decided to add a matching end table to my order. I couldn't have it delivered on the same day, so I opted to have it delivered to the store and I would pick it up and assemble it myself. It would be delivered 3.5 weeks from purchase. When it was time to have my coffee table delivered, I was informed on the day of delivery that it was back ordered. How the hell did it RANDOMLY become back ordered the day it was suppose to deliver? Regardless, I got my coffee table 4 days late. Now to the end table, where the fun begins. The day I was suppose to have my end table delivered, I didn't get a phone call or text from Ashley Furniture. I gave them two extra days before I started calling. I called, talked to one woman, she got my name and phone number to call me back with an update on what was going on. She never called back. I called back 6 hours later, talked to Gino, the manager. He got my name and phone number, promised he would call back in 30 mins. He never called back. The next morning I decided to try again. Called, got transferred to the warehouse. Warehouse told me there was no possible way that they would deliver to the store in Olympia and I had to pick it up at the warehouse in Tacoma with my invoice in hand or it had to be delivered (I had originally been told I could pick it up from the store). Now, given I had just moved across the country, I had no idea where the paper invoice was in my sea of moving boxes to pick it up in Tacoma. They also wouldn't accept an ID or the credit card that was used to purchase it. Fine. I'll have it delivered. Had to wait ANOTHER week because who is home for a 4 hour time frame on a week day to receive furniture. And you can't PICK your time frame. You're just told to pick a day and then the day before they give you a 4 hour window in which to be home. The person at the warehouse got my address on where it needed to be delivered we agreed on the following Saturday and hung up. 6 weeks from purchase and I don't have said end table. I get a text this morning about my delivery window. 9am-1pm on Saturday. The address is wrong. It's my sister's address. Not the address I gave the warehouse guy. It's just never ending. At this point I want to return both purchases because Ashley does not deserve my business. read more

Update 6 Mar 19: There it was, the furniture we've long been waiting for. Finally delivered. We were lucky to find a friend that could be at the house during the delivery time since Ashley didn't, wouldn't it couldn't honor our request for delivery date or time. But then there I was, staring at the furniture when I got home that night thinking to myself "you've got to be kidding me".... a back cushion was missing and instead there was an extra seat cushion. I called Ashley right away and they said they would order me the part that's missing and I'd receive it within 7 to 10 days. We shall see. Goes to prove that third time is not always a charm. This has been a horrible experience. Update 4 Mar 19: After numerous phone calls to both corporate and the actual store, we never received a call back about our delivery. Each and every time I spoke to someone I had to explain the history and situation and although they seemed concerned and sounded like they were going to help, nope. Instead, today I get a text confirmation for delivery on 6 Mar 19, from 10:00am-1:00pm, of course during the times we aren't available. But what can you really do at this point but to cut your losses, accept the delivery and cut out of work for the 3rd time. Yes, I understand it's a conscious decision but really though after waiting since December to get your sofa replaced under a warranty claim. You'd think that after them making a mistake twice that they'd do everything to accommodate you. T‍ Update 27 Feb 19: Here we go again. After missing the delivery on 23 Feb 19 (to no fault of our own), we rescheduled that same day for delivery on 28 Feb 19. Twice, two separate phone calls that same day we confirmed the date of 28 Feb 19 delivery. Today arrived, it's 6pm and still no delivery time confirmation. So I call customer care and guess what? They say we are scheduled for 6 Mar 19!!! 6 March 2019!!! I explain the two confirmations and she states the people we spoke to didn't put notes in the system. After going back and forth, she finds the note in the system that states 28 Feb 19 delivery but the date scheduled on the calendar was 6 Mar 19. I'm lost for words at this point. I'm sure it couldn't be fixed at this time of the night so I had to just surrender and beg and plead for an earlier delivery day when we are off work. We've lost 2 days of work already due to this and can't afford to lose anymore. PLEASE Ashley, fix your systems!!! This is not what stellar customer service looks Update 23 Feb 19: After waiting two months to resolve issues with the inspection, exchange, and eventually selecting a new sofa (we upgraded), we finally thought we would receive our long awaited sofas today. Wrong. They gave us a timeframe of 3:30pm-6:30pm for delivery that we confirmed, but they showed up at 12:44pm because they had to be rerouted. No notice given. Of course, we were not prepared and therefore were not home (we have normal lives), and now have to wait another 5 days and figure out how to get off work at the right time to receive them, AGAIN. This is the most frustrating experience ever. We will definitely consider other options before going to Ashley again. Good products, horrible Update 3 Jan 19: We ordered a sofa and chaise that was delivered on 13 Jun 18. 25 Dec 18 I notice the springs on the chaise were messed up, making a noise and very uncomfortable with the littlest move. I'm quite surprised since the set is hardly ever used and all the other our other we've purchased from them last long. I called on the 26th to file a claim. Since then, Corporate Customer Care (they deal with the inspector scheduling) has only called once (which we missed due to work) and in the last 3 days I have called them back 7 times and can't get through, being on hold for a total of over 2 hours. Even when you choose the option of keeping your place in the que and they would call you back, they don't. It's very frustrating given that the chaise is only 6 months old and the claim process is this difficult. Ashley Furniture HomeStore (AFHS) can't do anything but put the claim in the system, it's on corporate to follow through. Although AFHS's customer service has always been great (made 3 purchases with them so far), I feel like they should have more control or communication lines with corporate to assist their customers. read more

The furniture selection was great as was the pricing. But paying for it was not a great experience. I purchased 3 pieces and an ottoman. It took the sales clerk 18 minutes to enter the information into the computer..which wouldn't take my card. We did a repeat on another computer..no luck. So I was asked to go to the main desk where another person started all over with taking my information and inputing my order. This time was successful. Wow. 45 minutes to check out. No explanation. No apology. Not acceptable. Even at peak times at Costco I don't waste that much time. The delivery scheduling was easy and quick. I arranged a day off as they can't guarantee a specific time of day just a day which is understandable. One day before scheduled delivery I get an EMAIL rescheduling with a date 18 week plus after the agreeded upon date given to me at time of purchase. Yes, you read that correct. They didn't call to apologize, offer an explanation just informed me if what they were doing. This is hands down the worst experience I've ever had with a business. I bought a couch and loveseat from this store. When I called to see when I was supposed to be notified of the time of delivery the person on the phone said the salesperson had cancelled the order the day after I was in the store. We had to wait an additional couple of weeks for our order to be processed and delivered. They offered to take some of the expense off our bill to make up for the inconvenience. I appreciated this gesture and was ready to move on. Yesterday my two items were supposed to be delivered and the delivery guy showed up with just the couch. He said that he arrived to pick up the loveseat and that it was stained and broken and refused to deliver it. According to him, the person at the warehouse tried to convince him to take it anyway. He said no, and was under the impression they'd be calling us to notify us of the partial delivery. We weren't called. I called the store to see how this could happen. They were not understanding and told me that I'd have to take it up with corporate if I wanted the full refund. So instead of just picking up the couch. And refunding me my money, I'd have to call their corporate office to see if they would "approve my return." Beware of this company and especially of Josh, Jenny, and their less than competent sales people. read more

Ashley Homestore has been a very disappointing business to deal with. In September I ordered a couch and love seat that was to be delivered in October. Fine. We were remodeling so the delay was acceptable. When the furniture was finally delivered in late October, both pieces of furniture were delivered with obvious damage. I refused the delivery. I was told to call on 10/29 to get a new delivery date. I was told the new delivery date would be 11/1. When no delivery came that day, after waiting all day, I called and was told it was never scheduled and that it would not be available until late December. Furious, I went to the store and was told if I wanted furniture sooner I'd have to pick something else out. I had already decorated my living room around the selection I had chosen, including area rugs, paint colors and drapery. Stupidly, I picked out a different set and I was told delivery would be on 11/6. The delivery was incomplete and there was no explanation why a chair was missing from the delivery. I called and was told it was out of stock and would be delivered on 12/10. It is 12/10 and no delivery. I called and I was told it was out of stock until 12/28. What is with this company? I will never recommend Ashley Furniture Homestore. Customer service is beyond bad. Delivery folks do not speak English. Very, very unhappy with an incomplete set of furniture that already shows poor quality as it is already damaged and I'm sure was damaged upon delivery but it was set up against a wall and not noticed that there was a tear at the rear of the couch. Still waiting to hear what they will do about the damage and when the other two items will be delivered. If I could give this store a zero rating, I would. Been waiting all day for a return phone call. 12/28/18 I was to FINALLY get delivery of the additional items of my order, a chair and mirror, tomorrow. At 8:00 PM, I get a call from Ashley that the items WILL NOT BE DELIVERED. After working with "Debby" who was responding to my YELP review, she assured me I would have delivery on 12/29. What is wrong with these people, with this company? I worked in a customer/patient related field for 45 years and I would never treat any customer like this, nor would I allow anyone under my supervision to do so. This is totally unbelievable. What do you imagine when you go furniture shopping? Here's mine: you take some measurements, have a clue of what you're after, go to the store, find what you like, pay for it and wait for delivery a week later. If you go to Ashley you have to make some adjustments to this dream of yours. My wife and I did just that. We found, paid, and waited. I asked and they swore that delivery will take place on July 21st, as we asked. Then the saga began. A few days before the planned delivery we started receiving emails, preparing us for the delivery. Then came the call. They postponed the delivery by three weeks. August 12th was the news date. We swallowed hard, and said OK. Then another call, this time August 30th. "Why" I asked. One item didn't make it to the warehouse, so the entire delivery is postponed. I asked, foolishly, why don't they deliver what they have. Then I understood how ridiculous I must have been. Ashley would lose money if they would deliver items one by one. "OK", I said, "refund me the missing item and deliver the rest". It took some arm twisting, but they did that. There were still items on the list though. They said September 4th. We waited at home, like we were told. Nothing, nada, zilch. I called, and they said January. Another item didn't make it, and the rest September 8th. I asked for a refund for everything and that was the end of this incredible saga, and the end of me as an Ashley Home Store customer. So here's my advice: Ashley has good furniture, and on occasion, good sales. Visited the Ashley Store in Olympia yesterday and purchased just under $700 worth of furniture. By mistake I used a debit card from an account I am closing out and had a balance just under $300. The sales associate ran the card, which drew the account down to zero - then advised me the card did not clear, so I paid $700 from another account. I was told I would be credited back the $300 today. After attempting to contact the store - they apparently do not answer their phone -I spoke with 3 different folks from "corporate" all of whom said they would connect me to the Olympia store - only to be disconnected 3 times. After asking for "Escalation" I was put in touch with the Olympia store and was told a bunch of non specific language - they're "working on it"? The manager did tell me they operate in a 1990 software world and need approval for credits - even after I've paid in full. I was also told that in order for Ashley Furniture to credit me back I will have to come back into the store with the card and this process will be reversed. Or will it?I love being held hostage by a vendor's outdated accounting systems. This may all sound like privileged whining to some - maybe it is? - I just do not understand why this company thinks they're doing a good job with customer service. I'm hoping we get our order on time and in one piece, but based on the unprofessional way I've been treated, I doubt it. I shopped at Ashley with an open mind but having been through this nonsense I doubt I'll ever go back. I have bought a lot of Ashley Furniture over the years however, never again. They scheduled delivery of my furniture 5 times for 7 pieces and wanted me to take five days off work for five deliveries (7 pieces remember)! Then when I took today off for a delivery of 4 pieces , the final delivery after numerous phone calls to get all in one delivery, they still screwed it up. This was a set we bought and now they say we can't return it even though we received less than half of it. Really crappy of them and it cost me an extra $1200 to take time off for the first deliveries. BBB complaint coming as well on this one. read more

After placing my review on how my experience was dealing with Ashley Furniture. I received several calls from Ashley customer service to discuss how to fix the problem and make it right for me. Ashley agreed to deliver furniture on time on a day and time that would not cause me to have to take off work. Today my friend and I walked into Ashley Furniture just to look around. No purchase in mind or interest in making a purchase. A salesman came up to us immediately after we entered. My friend explained that we are just window shopping and not interested in purchasing. This same employee then proceeded to follow us through the store. I finally confronted him and asked if he was afraid we would steal a couch. He informed me that it is his job to follow people around and I could talk to his manager. I told him that it's incredibly annoying and rude. We then left the store and I was going to let it drop. However, I feel that people should be aware of how they treat potential customers. To follow us around as if we are thieves and watch our every move is simply creepy! If they are so hard up for sales perhaps they should look at their business practices. Read the reviews that have been left and make some positive changes! I will NEVER step foot in an Ashley's Furniture again and will be sure to tell anyone I know who is looking for furniture to avoid them at all costs. There is a locally owned and operated furniture store called Olympia Furniture Company that has ALL of my business and ALL of my referrals. It's unfortunate that the sales people at Ashley's are made to act like vultures! read more

My wife and I just got a sectional, a bedroom set, and a dining room set on their financing plan and couldn't be any happier. We are still waiting on delivery but the customer service at this store was amazing. We were helped by Susan and she was excellent. She was very nice, she actually listened, she worked with us switching up our idea every 5 seconds, And she got us what we wanted! I recommend going to Susan as she made this experience for me and my wife so easy. We came in only wanting a bedroom set and left with that plus way more all for a good deal. Chris(the manager) was very nice as well and helped out. I'll recommend Ashley to any of my friends or family now. read more

I got a great deal with Dennis. He was attending to different customers all on his own and was engaging with all of them. He answered all types of questions and still kept his kind and friendly attitude. Got a free box set and made the delivery work for me to get my bed the next day.
